Dont shop here, the manager is a very rude mask enforcer. I walked in without a mask and neither employee said anything. They were mixiing/shaking my paint and I was buying brushes, masking tape and other items and they were just about to ring me up when the manager walked in and just blew up on me for not wearing a mask. I said NOTHING and just walked out. If you want me to wear a mask tell me politely. Your not my dad, I am a customer. Ill be going to Kelly Moore from here on out. They respect Constitutional Rights

I also love the sales you have and how you extend the sale price out.I began shopping here several months ago after becoming dissatisfied with the 2 local big home improvement stores in Rancho Cordova. Went in to buy exterior paint during sale. Was informed the colors would not be in/mixed before end of sale; therefore i dont get the sale price despite the order. I voiced my frustration. Manager called couple days later and confirmed that they did not want to honor sale; however they tend to have sales often so theres a chance Ill luck out and still get a different sale🤯. Seriously, at that point just lie to me and say yep youll have the sale price at pickup. If thats not odd enough he went on to add how the paint i chose doesnt come in 5gallon cans but in 1gallon cans; therefore i need to pay more for each additional can because the paint store doesnt understand that paint is a fluid and may be poured into the 5gallon cans. They then tried to blame the state of California saying, California charges more for recycling purposes because the smaller cans are more wasteful and in turn Sherwin🤢Williams would rather charge their customers more instead of using the more economical/environmentally-responsible choice. So I go into the store, tell staff the whole story, say I dont care about the color, Im not paying you extra money so you can use smaller/more cans wastefully. I asked what paint can you sell in 5gallons. Staff said probably all of them😳.  I pointed to three new colors how bout these? Those only come in 1gallon he said🤬. This went on for about half an hour in the store. We could probably do these? Ok i dont care, Ill take it. Oh wait this ones out too😵........ My advice to you if your looking for anything paint related: definitely start here, have some fun messing with the staff cause theyre clearly trippin on paint fumes (hmmm that must be what theyre using all the 5gallon cans for; dunking their heads and huffing). Once you had youre fun go anywhere else. Sherwin🤢Williams in folsom, in placerville (they know their inventory), just go anywhere else. This particular branch of Sherwin🤢Williams is only there for entertainment and apparently doesnt carry paint. They claim they do but point to a color, it wont be available🤣. I was waiting for Mel Brooks to come out and surprise me with a new reality punk tv show. Sherwin🤢Williams, never again✊.

The customer service of this store was good last Tuesday. A young fellow shook a gallon of primer I bought perhaps 2 - 3 months ago for me since I was now ready to use it. For the intended purpose I asked if he might add a bit of tint to make it light tan. This would help me spray texture on it and be able to discern the amount of texture sprayed due to a color contrast. This was no problem for the young fellow. He did the 5 star level of normal Sherwin Williams excellent performance in paint tinting!Unfortunately I found I needed another gallon--it took more than anticipated.On the following Thursday (two days later) the staff was different and the high quality worker was not there (who tinted the first gallon). That staff was unfortunately unable to mix paint and the fellow at the counter when I arrived (that day) immediately told me they would not be able to match the color of the paint I had just had mixed two days earlier at the same exact store.My first gallon was light tan in color (as requested). The second gallon turned out to be yellow in color. Worse yet they didnt even adequately shake the can so I had to hand mix it to a great extent to get it to not be a collage of white and yellow! I was a bit shocked by this attribute of this local stores employees that day.Prior to that experience I always would rate this (and all other SW) store(s) as top notch and worthy of the highest possible rating (i.e., 5 star). The folks working there this day need to get some help and/or training in mixing paint and exemplifying a positive can do attitude.As a result of my complaint the manager called me and defended the action of everybody in the store except for the person who had done an excellent job tinting the original gallon of paint. She blamed him for the whole problem and failed to admit there were any problems with the staff working on Thursday. She promoted the idea that there was a communication problem and that I had failed to adequately communicate to the person on Thursday who tinted my second gallon yellow. I brought the remains of the first gallon so the color could be matched should they care to do this.I was allowed to bring back the remaining gallon of yellow primer and have it replaced with a gallon that was tinted very close to the first gallon of paint.I suspect that the manager was not happy with my on-line feedback (requested by SW corporation) of my experience. I was not thanked for bringing this important feedback to their attention so that the problem could be remedied in a timely manner!

I go in there knowing what I need, they ask are you sure, we double check and I leave happy.

What can a painter say about a paint store? They have what I want when I want it and will tell ya where to go if they cant.

The employee that helped me ended up costing me $30 more than I needed to spend on paint that I ended up having to cover up after I was very specific on my needs. She then lied to me when I came back saying she thought I only needed to paint a small patch of ceiling even though I said I was painting the entire ceiling and all of the walls in a room. Very disappointed and will not be a returning customer for the remainder of my remodel due to the dishonesty of employees trying to hit their numbers.
