Warning!! if you are looking for flooring, do not make the mistake I did by ordering at this store. Shop it somewhere else. You will be drawn by the good words of stock availability, promise of timely installation that were promisingly said by the sales staff. You might also spent many days on testing the samples, color & design choices, budgeting, material availability & quicker installation. Believing the sales person, you will order with all excitement of your dear house improvement project. Initially as a courtesy you will be extended a 3 days courtesy notice period to cancel. But Past 3 days, the very first bullet hits you. A small part of your order not available so the delivery delayed. ETA UNKNOWN. same status continues even after 6 weeks of waiting. In between you would visit the store multiple times to check the status and ran behind their staffs all over the store to understand the whereabouts your product. because they dont care if it has arrived but the crew misplaced somewhere else. With all these hurdles, One cool fact is, you wouldnt be able to modify or cancel your order after the initial 3 day window to cancel. The next nightmare begins with the home depots installation company. Here another cool fact is home depot does takes orders for installation, but they dont have any relationship with the installation. Now you have to coordinate between home depot and installation company. After you wake them they will casually through a shock that you are now placed in the line, for the installation schedule which will be several months away.Being on the weak side as a customer what else we can do. Bounded by an one sided agreement, the only agreed portion in that would be the payment, rest would be sided towards their own benefit & policy. All the option you will be left here is to accept whatever they say and look for their blessing for any chance.Customer service in reality became a charity nowadays ??If I would have known before ordering that it would take 6 months, i would have refrained myself from locking my money in there.
I don’t recommend buying appliances from this store. I bought a washer and dryer and they were supposed to haul away the old ones and change the door swing on the dryer. Neither one of those things happened. Said there was no room on the truck. I went in store later to schedule the the pick up and was told it would be next Thursday. Waited around all morning and called the store only to be told it got pushed to next Saturday. Typical of this store not following through. They give you the run around and then blame it on their sub contractors. Very frustrating. Do yourself a favor and shop elsewhere.
Needed a new table saw. Got frustrated as all employees seemed to be in gossip groups only taking time to send customers to aisle 11. Had to search 3/4 of the store for a flat bed. No one offered to help me get it on the cart or help me load my vehicle. Made me question my $500 purchase so I took it back but no one was interested in why. I knew I had made the right decision when I couldnt exit the return area since several employees were blocking the area with a meeting. I exited through the entry and headed elsewhere to shop, frustrated
Went to store to purchase caulk, went to self check out to pay for item and the service help (sic) lady says Excuseoooooos me this man was first. The man was an EMPLOYEE probably on the clock! Since when do employees come before customers! That was very rude of her! You need to send her back to customer training, even charm school so she realizes that customers are always FIRST!!!! Thats the way it was in my business of 45 years. Unless your employee who went ahead of me is signing the payroll checks!!!! I dont think so!!!!!
Erin was amazing help. Real sweet heart and very helpful. On 1 to 10 he is 10. While there was other lady looks like supervisor but sadly gave wrong info.
Great friendly staff, Leah is a very hard worker and always kills it. You see her greeting customers with a smile and taking care of heavy loads with a forklift. Well rounded reliable staff.
Organized layout. good customer service
Mike Miller in electric is THE guy! He did us a solid and hooked us up with a great generator for our home when we lost power due to the recent storms. He even stuck around to make sure we had everything we needed to run it. So kind, knowledgeable, and helpful! Thanks so much again, Mike!! We are so grateful and highly satisfied.
My husband and I were helped by Beth in the appliance department and we couldnt be happier. She was able to answer all of our questions, helpful, friendly, positive attitude, in short she was wonderful! Definitely the right person in the right place! Thank you so much for assisting us in buying our new microwave and dishwasher!
Great bathroom, clean and extra roomy,I only went there to use the restroom 🚻. Thanks home depot for taking care to make sure we have a great restroom experience.
Needed help finding the right light bulb for my stove- great service- gentleman helped me find it--Thanks so much
The employee was very professional. Initiated asking that do you need help. After I showed him the sample of the parts, he asked what its for, and lead me to the right section and found what I was looking for.Home depot carries more repair/replacement parts than other competitors. As a consumer, I appreciate.
Amazing staff helped a crazy customer (me) fit an oversized vanity into the trunk of a small sedan and very kindly took the time to do so. Went way out of their way to assist!5 of 5 stars all the way!
Walked around the plumbing department for 25 minutes looking for someone to help. No one acknowledged I was even there. Walked down other isles and same thing. Ran out of time and only purchased half of what I came for. When I worked for Home Depot in my younger days we were supposed to acknowledged everyone we Walked by. Very 😞disappointing.
I had to ask 4 different associates where an item was. And received 4 different locations. Spent way too much time walking around because nobody seemed to know where anything was
This spring l have shopped at numerous Home Depot locations. The Rochester Hills location is better run than most. Better organized, cleaner and well stocked. Displays always merchandised well. Register area flows efficiently.
Im giving this review 5 stars ONLY because of Lynn, one of their employees. I would appreciate it if this 5 star review only reflected her efforts to help me and not the management at this store.Went to this Home Depot today on my lunch hour to purchase two outdoor wall mounted lanterns I had seen online. They had them in stock, however, the second one was way up high above the display. I had asked one of the sales associates, Lynn (she was all of 52 inches), if she could assist me with getting the second one down from above. Lynn went and got one of those huge orange ladders and was trying to maneuver it in place. She was able to line it up and get the box down for me, however, in the mean time, as this 52 woman is struggling with this ladder, several of her male co-workers, which I found out later were actually store managers, walked briskly past her with their heads down, as shes trying to help me. It was blatantly apparent they did not want to be bothered. A manager, should have a strong work ethic and be willing to help their staff help the customer, but obviously these gentleman didnt want to be bothered. Shame on the managers at this store and kudos to Lynn for doing an outstanding job.
Incredible workers! Andrew and Jacob in hardware were amazing--they went above and beyond to assist me and solve my problem. Mike in electrical was also so knowledgable and really kind! Very pleased with my Home Depot!
We had a very bad experience here. I will never use home depot again. I understand that everyone is short staffed, so the fact that that we waited 1.5 hours just to be taken care of, I was fine with that. But when I spend alot of money at your business, I dont expect for your employees to call me or anyone else that is with me names. I also do not need you to roll your eyes or look irritated when I bring it to your attention in a nice manner. Dont worry, you wont have my family or I as customers again!
Ive been here many times. And I keep coming back. Its convenient. The prices are reasonable. Not as large a selection as some Home Depots in the area but they have most everything you would expect in stock in good quantities. In general the staff is knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. Every once in a while someone is having an off day, so its not eutopia. Its part of the real world. With real things for real people. I like that you can look on the home depot web page, pick the store youre in, and it tells you what aisle and bay to find things in. Some days this home depot really frustrates me. During training they should teach employees who can not or are not willing to help you to say, Let me find someone who can help you. Its much nicer than, This isnt my department.
Watch three employees walk by and ask me if I needed help, said yes and they responded with just a minute or let me get someone over here. Waited 25 minutes, walked out. Now I see why Amazon is so big
Really good store with a great selection. Very helpful employees.
Decently organized. I have always been able to find the things I am looking for by going online and searching the store that way (it will tell you the aisle number and bay number when searching on home depot.com)I recommend shopping this way because the store is too large for a human brain to comprehend.
They had everything I needed and the staff interaction was perfect
Lots of hardware and such for home improvement, and priced are cheaper than competitors like Lowes.. Great 👍
Always a great place to shop. We usually drive from North East Troy to this location because of its great customer experience and product range, not to forget their tool rental services!
Our Washington/Shelby Twp store has the most available and knowledgeable team members!
One of the smaller stores. Very nice people to interact with. Usually well stocked
This home depot has broken cabinets for sale!!! Why cant they sell good ones?
I used to work over there. Only two guys are good. At the first month, the staffs seem friendly. But after that, they dont look friendly. Only the ignorence look I always find in their eyes. I did everything whatever i can to keep the ayels clean. But still they said if I am not working standard way they will let me go. So I quiet by myself.
Not enough people to help. It took two hours to get the help I needed. Overly price. Horrible experience.
Great visit got everything i needed to repair my window screen .Very helpful staf
I got a key made that did not work. I took it back to get remade and it still did not work. Instead of going back a third time I ended up taking the key elsewhere to get it made. The key worked fine. How hard can it be to make a key? Maybe its the fancy electronic key maker that is the culprit. Perhaps employees need more training on the machine. In addition, they are extremely understaffed. I ran around that store for sometime and could not find any assistance.
The Regional Sales Manager needs a wake up call. This unit has never been orderly. There is no comparison to the local Lowe’s which is clean and orderly. The Garden Center gates have finally been opened despite the extremely nice weather and Lowes GC gates been open for 3 weeks. There are only 5 cash registers open Sunday, 4 were self service. The lines were incredibly long yet there are tons of employees wandering around.I left the item I came for without purchase. In Retail- NEVER make the Customer wait to pay you!
This is a great Home Depot location! Been dealing with a carpet install that is going wonderful, the sales people were great! Also, Dwayne in the wood material area is super helpful and the nicest guy! Thank you!
I only checked out annual plants and made a few purchases at great prices
I was trying to go home but on my gps whghen i typer in in home it wnet to home deopt and this isnt even a trian station. I cant believe my gps took me here and is not even a traine here. i think im going to sew this place now.
In the past week, we have purchased several items for a bathroom renovation. I am so disappointed in the Rochester Hills store. Buyers beware of what you take off the shelves! First, the toilet we purchased was broken. The box had been marked as a defective item, but we didnt know what the sticker meant. The check out person never said anything either. We didnt know until we brought it back and the customer service person went to put another red sticker on it! She was surprised it was on the shelf. Next, we purchased a light fixture and a faucet set. Both had been opened, things were loosely in the boxes (not in their bags) and no indication that it had been previously opened. Luckily the pieces were there, but it all added time to our project because we had to check everything!! We had to return the faucet set because it was defective. Why was this put back on the shelf!!!??? This may be the end to our Home Depot shopping.
Friendly staff as always fast prompt service
Friendly employees always willing to help load purchases in your vehicle.
I ordered a pre hung door and screen door. They asked what color handles I would like. When they called for me to pick up my order they only had the screen door . I asked what happened to the pre-hung door frame. They had me standing there for over a half hour looking at their computer screen and told me the door was on another order. WHAT? Then I waited for a couple more weeks for the pre-hung door. It took forever to get it and there was no door handles. I am disabled and asked them if I could get assistance loading the door and they said yes. They walked away and I had to load it by myself. They had brought it from the loading area where my truck was to the other end of the store. I didnt want to spend the night there. Not Happy.
Good service. Plenty of staff to help. I was just disappointed about an incident. We wanted to purchase a faucet which was $150 at 3 different Home Depot locations; however it was out of stock at each one. We were told the Rochester Hills store had it in stock but when we got there we found it was a higher price. When we brought the price difference to the attention of customer service they said it was being discontinued at the other stores, but not in Rochester Hills so they would not adjust the price even though it was the same product. We left and found a better product and price at Lowes.
Friendly service can take your dog in great employees always so helpful
Want to say big thanks to Val, who helped me to choose and cut the drywall. He was very nice and helpful. He was the only one out of others who really pay attention to my problem. Thanks, Val!
Edit: Sam was friendly and helpful. Great customer service! Barry was knowledgeable and helpful. Thanks for making our trip a success! There is a discrepancy between online aisle #s and where the items actually are located in store. Also, stock amount not accurate, but the employees are helpful and do their best.
Rental people helpful.
If buying appliances, and you have the choice to either utilize Home Depots delivery service or carry the appliances home on your back uphill in a snowstorm, do the latter, youll have a much more pleasant experience. The sub contractor (Forward Miles) employs the rudest, laziest, most incompetent staff who will make any and every excuse to not deliver your appliances. Today is the second day they have refused to deliver on false grounds stated to their warehouse. (Not enough clearance, unshoveled sidewalks, not allowed to enter through a garage?! Etc). I have been on a loop of phone calls with Home Depot corporate, the GE home delivery support team (who for some reason is yet another middle man between home depot and Forward Miles even though I ordered LG appliances), and Forward Miles themselves. I tried really hard not to hold Home Depot accountable, but customer service is providing no resolve either. Save yourself the hassle and either carry the appliances home yourself uphill in a snowstorm, or take your business to Lowes, who Im sure will price match.
I absolutely love their D.I.Y. kids friendly kits to go!! Probably the only wonderful thing that has come out of having a COVID-19 Pandemic nowadays. Thank you Home Depot! :)
They have parts and materials for almost any home maintenance and repair, in addition to everything for lawn and garden projects.
You ask the clerks for help and they just say idk and walk away. Only self check-out was open and there was no one there to help with anything. I will go to menards from now on, not only do the are friendly and they actually try to help you.
Purchased a new Kohler toilet at $524 special order. Went to pick it up and it was in a box that had been re-taped and much dust on it. The checkout lady was nice enough to help use remove the tape to look inside as it looked like a returned item. It looked OK inside and had the lid still in an original box. So, it looked good enough to pay for and take home. When we got it home to install we noticed the lid cover broken from the toilet seat. We also thought the wax ring and bolt kit would be inside the box but they werent. It was supposed to be included with this toilet. A day later we received an email from the store asking how our experience was and to rate it. It also wanted to know it we would like to be contacted about our problem, and we checked yes to that and gave our phone number. Its been a week now, and no one has called yet. Terrible customer service on this. Our contractor is almost ready to install the toilet and fixtures, but not sure if Home Depot will call???????
Well stocked. They had exactly what we needed and the price was fair. Friendly staff.
Beth was very helpful to us in purchasing a washer and dryer. She will order both pieces to be held until we are ready for them sometime in March, plus there is no delivery charge.
Pretty good. Trying to bring business here but selection lacks compared to other similar businesses. Customer service is definitely better here than the competitors and they seem to know the job. Which is important.
They, obviously, have a large selection and good prices which is why they get 3 stars. This Rochester location, however, needs to hire more and better help. I needed help with a large heavy box that I wanted to purchase. I wandered all around but could find no one to help me at 2pm on a Thursday. I went to the customer service desk and they had a huge long line (I attached a picture) which I didnt want to stand in just to get help. I left without purchasing the $230 item. Their loss.
Good shopping experience, used app for in store map, making everything easy to find.
Very nice clean well stocked location
There are never any loaders. Every time I ask for loading help. No one shows up. And I have actually driven around the store and see them smoking. Hate to shop this location. Auburn Hills location is the best.
Should of never got rid of the hot dog stand...lol
Placed a countertop order in early September and consented to the time line presented. Unfortunately the person responsible took time off work shortly thereafter and our order wasn’t processed until Nov. 23rd. This literally doubles our timeline. I was basically told “too bad, covid”. I will never do business with Home Depot again, by far the most unprofessional store I’ve had to deal with when it comes to home improvements.
Nice and friendly staff 👍🏽
What a nice experience!I was looking for bankers boxes an a wonderful young man came and helped me find exactly what I needed. He helped me check out and then suggested I go get my car and drive it to the entrance and he put the boxes in my car. Also wished me a happy valentines day.I am older and have to use a walker, so it was truly a pleasant experience. Not only was he well trained but also courteous seemed to love his job. A big thank you to all the Home Depot employees and their managers. They really know the meaning of customer service.I taught my own children when they were young that there is a right way to do things and a wrong way; and it matters.
I was at Home Depot is pickup an online order. Today there were only a few people picking up or returning, so it did not take long at all.
Always find what I am looking for. Helpful staff.
Why is your online inventory never right ?
I frequent this store and its typically well maintained with friendly and helpful staff.
Clean store and helpful employees. Gotta love that hardware store smell.
You guys should train the people better. I was waiting like 20 minutes at the pro line for two people to get my account and nothing and of course i had to tell them that i have to go to work. They didnt even care.
Good location and smiling faces
Another place that needs to hire people lack of employees and a great deal of employees who are clueless of the hardware business.
Close to home almost always has what I need.
Home depot, worker, some of them ı vısıted store they were not very kınd however ı m glad Nona from a/c department and Cındy from cashıer great people incredıble nıce good sales persons thank you Nona and thank you cashıer Cındy . Also thank you for the süpervısor Mr.Ron very professional, Also Customer servıce Mıss Doi, Jason, Jack and Kevin wonderfull sales team Thank you Home depot .
The rental dept was great. Fast and courteous.
I wish I could say better but wow the place was trashed, they had the things I needed but they were crated up and all the way up top and Im talking about 4×8 sheets of exterior and interior alike. Everyone was busy it seemed but the Isles were so trashed you couldnt get to anything anyway, I will say the people working there were very polite. Sorry I dont like leaving a comment like this but it was pretty bad.
The returns are quick and easy and the product folks are good. What youd expect from Home Depot! :)
Typical Home Depot, youll find anything you need sometimes high but sometime low.
Love the selection. Can get lost. They have a useful app that has a store map with info about where to find what youre looking for.
Recently bought a house and this place has become my second home. Other than one instance with a very frazzled worker, the staff is helpful and knowledgeable. They usually have the products im looking for in stock and the layout of the store makes sense.
Under staffed, under stocked, and the staff that is working are not very helpful.
Placed an order for a countertop back in October. The contractors came out to measure at the beginning of November but our order wasn’t progress for 3 more weeks because they apparently only have one employee who processes these orders for fabrication. Our entire remodel is now delayed by over a month as a result of this one employee. The store has no back up personnel to process orders, so beware when you are ordering custom anything from them! If the one person takes a vacation you’ll be out of luck on your project making progress until they decide to return.
Found everything thanks to helpful and professional crew
Clean, well organized and enough people to get help if you need. The ability to look something up on your phone and have it direct you to the aisle and bay is awesome.
The building materials are getting a bit expensive, the isles are crowded and not much staff to help
Always friendly and knowledgeable staff. Willing to help in any situation whether it be loading or returning of an item or finding that special something thats hard to find. Sometimes that is a rarity at Home Depots!
Found what I was looking for and great price
Very clean friendly service
Shopping at The Home Depot Always puts me in a Great mood because they have so much cool stuff I want... and the knowledgebase of those cheerful employees makes it fun to Learn Something New... Everyday💪💯
Nice customer service people, quick in and out for the most part this time(didnt need anything this trip)
I was at The Home Depot to pick up something that I ordered. Even though there were quite a few people there to pick up and/or return purchases, The Home Depot staff were friendly and efficient at getting the people taken care of.
Great selection.
They had everything I needed and took good care of me help me find the products that I was looking for I definitely like it
Love home depot...thats all I have to say about that...lol
Found what I was looking for. Not too crowded. Searched online first to find the isle and bay so I didnt have to spend much time.
NEVER NEVER NEVER Do they have a knowledgeable Rep available u MUST walk around the entire Home Depot or Chase holler to find a salesperson no matter What location!!!! Its NO ONE AVAILABLE AWFUL TERRIBLE SERVICE!!!!!
Cant recommend
Idk who they do business with in Maryland that ships stuff to Ohio but for my toolbox to arrive and sit in the warehouse in Ohio for 4 days seems absurd. No wonder Amazon is taking over. If it wasn’t to late I definitely woulda canceled and bought it off Amazon
Great store. Only good things to say. They have everything you want for home and garden use.
