I purchased an above ground pool summer 2019 from Ace. After the pool was filled, the installer pointed out that he thought there was a leak in the liner. In addition, there are significant grooves on the bottom of the pool (causing dirt/chemicals to collect) and a huge divot in the area next to the pool that wasnt filled properly and fills with water with every rain.After a lot of back and forth about the leak, I finally received an email from Ace i October 2019 promising me a new liner at no cost to me and that the other issues would be corrected when the liner went in.When I contacted them this spring to arrange for the new liner, the owner denied ever promising me that.When I forwarded the email to him, he STILL denied it even though it was in writing!!At this point I have to get quotes from other places and file in small claims Im sure Ill win (given that they put the promise IN WRITING) (seriously? why put something in writing then deny that you said it?) but its a lot of unnecessary hassle.There are a lot of other pool places around - use one of them...

When we arrived we asked if they did FREE pool water sampling. The guy at the front kindly said yes and pointed us in the direction to where to go. We walked back there and our first impression of the employee was not the greatest, the employee seemed very spacey and didn’t know much about what he was talking about, or care to listen to what we were saying. He took forever to respond to us. After we got our reading back he told us what was wrong with the pool and said other words that we weren’t sure if that was a product they sold or what. He wasn’t making much sense. We finally said thank you and was about to leave but we figured it would be nice to ask if we owe any money for the FREE water testing. The employee responded with “well you HAVE to buy our products if you don’t I won’t ever do a water test again for you”. We felt threatened. I responded with “what if we already have the products at home so we don’t need the products” and he responded again with “I will never do a testing again for this household.” Feeling extremely threatened and uncomfortable we bought a small bag of a product and processed to the front of the store. The employee followed us from the back of the store up to the front. Overall we are unsure if we will return to this establishment after being threatened to buy products we didn’t need because we already owned and even asking if we could just pay for the water test itself and the employee responded with no.

Ive stopped in here a few times when I have been shopping in the area. Great staff and very friendly. I buy my pool chemicals here because they test my water and give me good knowledgeable advice. They dont try to up-sell me extras and I appreciate that.

Highly recommend. Staff is willing to answer questions and walk you through things. They are very patient and have a large selection of pool supplies. They were great for me as a first time pool owner and I still go there 3 years later for all my supplies.

Great place to go if you want or have an above ground pool here in Rochester. Eric and Neal have many years of experience in pools, spas, stoves and patio. Trouble shooting pool and spa chemistry is what they do best at all their stores and Ryan who is in charge at Chili can solve your problems throughout the whole pool season. Do yourself a favor and give Ace Swim a chance to give you a quote on whatever you need whether it is a pool, spa, patio or gas fireplace. You will be happy to see their great pricing and customer service at all four locations.....

Staff was helpful and friendly. They overextended themselves offering alternatives for us. They took time to fully inform of all possibilities and call other sources to get information. Highly recommend!

Bought the “extended” warranty for my liner....was just told...”if you can’t find your original sales receipt....you’re out of luck!” “Remember, you signed the agreement!” I will NEVER use these guys again!!!!

We have made many purchases in this store over the last many years; most of which did not require much employee assistance. This past week we purchased an in ground solar cover reel from them only to get it home to discover that the pieces included were not what the directions stated. Upon a call to the store we were told that the manufacturer changed the size of the reel tube and it no longer fit as snugly which would require us to install set screws which were not included. The directions also stated that the pole was predrilled to accommodate inserted screws to keep the poles from moving; these holes were not drilled. After a further discussion regarding the lack of clear directions and missing pieces, we were instructed to return to the store the following day and they would provide the set screws needed. After returning to the store were then told that they were not going to provide the screws and that we could purchase them ourselves at Home Depot. These people are clearly not customer oriented and they made absolutely no conscience effort to rectify the problem at all. Furthermore, they are obviously not well informed about the products that they sell or they would have known previous to the sale that there was a problem here. If they were knowledgeable about their products then they were aware of the problems and let us purchase the item and then refused to fix the issue. It is customer service like this that is closing the nations stores because people are shopping online. We could have purchased the same item on line for $30.00 less and free shipping and gotten the same or better customer service than we did at Ace. We will no longer shop here for our pool needs.

Do yourself a favor and go to Pettis, ace is weird and only needs 2 people at most to run the place.... not 7 just sitting around looking Facebook, just gives me the creeps.
