If I could give a lower review I would. I took my grandsons shoe to this place, complete with a prescription from his orthopedic and was told it would take 2 weeks for it to be done. What this supposed business didnt tell me is that they need a diagnoses so they could bill the insurance. They did NOT have a signed release to contact his doctor. Rather than contact me, they tried 2x times in over a month to get this from the doctor with no response. I asked how much it would cost if I paid outright for it and was given a really reasonable price. Turns out it would have been what the insurance would be paying, I would have to pay double. They claim they tried calling me back twice, which they didnt.I paid for the lift, requesting a rush job since they had the shoe for a month. Of course they hadnt started it after a week. It took a very, very angry call to get the work done and SURPRISE it was done later that day. The shoe was picked up and truthfully I have never seen a job that looked so slapped together! The only positive thing I can say is they did say if the lift separated they would fix it. Of course no idea how long that offer is good for. I will NEVER go back to this place. The girls are rude and the manager isnt much better.

I was very impressed with the evaluation I received, and alternatives for taking care of my foot and ankle issue. I worked with Scott and he also told me my sneakers didnt fit properly and sent me over to the retail side and I now have a new pair. Just walked 1 1/2 miles and feel great. Perfect fit with no break in time. Awesome!

After working with Scott at the Foot Performance Center, pain in both of my feet have almost entirely vanished and I cant thank him enough for the amount of time and effort he put into helping me. During my appointment, my time felt valued and my problems were truly heard. Highly recommend anyone with foot pain to visit this place.

I have always been impressed with how the staff spoke directly to my teenagers. I brought them in for fittings due to knee and back pain. The staff explained everything to them and helped them understand why proper support and body alignment starts at the feet. Recently, my daughter needed new custom orthotics. Brian went above and beyond during this pandemic to accommodate her schedule since she still had to work.Thank you Brian!

My orthopedic physician informed me that I needed an insert for my shoe due to tendon issues. Unfortunately, it took weeks for my initial appointment. After being fitted, I was told it would take approximately two to three weeks for the insert to arrive. Upon receiving a message that the insert was ready, I made an appointment to pick them up but was told it was not available and I was called in error. Later, I was told they were ready. Today, when I called to set up an appointment, to pick them up, Danielle was rude informing me that I was a no show for my appointment causing an unpleasant, unprofessional interaction. She was so rude that at this point, I no longer want the insert. Clearly customer service and proper interpersonal skills are lacking. I will NEVER go to this place again or recommend it.

I have to buy wide shoes but have a narrow heal plus I need a lift in one shoe therefor I can’t find shoes in regular stores that fit and need any shoe I buy amended. I have been buying all my shoes at Foot Performance for many years. I appreciate the quality and variety of shoes the store has for sale, and have always been impressed with the knowledgeable and talented employees who work there and make it possible for me to walk in comfort. Thank you. We don’t realize how lucky we are in Rochester to have this store until you go out of the area and find there isn’t another store like this anywhere near you.

The one star is for the decent shoes I bought there. The absence of the other four stars are for terrible customer service, terrible customer service, high priced and terrible customer service. I have been there four times, purchased three pair of shoes, and the two different salespeople I worked with (one guy three times, a young woman one time) were rude, careless, talking to other sales people, talking about themselves--overall made me feel like they were doing me a huge favor working with me. The guys was particularly impatient and short with me- I felt like he hated his job or me, and just wanted to leave. I thought the first bad experience was maybe a fluke, we all have bad days. The second time was disappointing, the third time was unbelievable-- I know, why did I keep going back even a fourth time?? They have good shoes and I have bad ankles and need help. But the fourth time I left without buying anything. I was almost in tears. TERRIBLE store.

Some staff have condescending attitude. Mixed up the recommendation from my chiropractor with another customer. After realizing mistake, decided to change recommendation and only put in support for one foot, which led to asymmetrical feel. Not returning to the store.

I have gone to this store for shoes for 2 years now. David Cardillo, a Pedorthist, did an amazing job 2 years ago suggesting insoles for my shoes that allowed me to walk pain free. I made an appointment for last week to have my feet reevaluated since the insoles were no longer effective in alleviating the discomfort when I walked. I arrived for my appointment, waited 25 minutes only to be told that David was running late. I was prepared to leave and was told by staff he would have someone finish with his last client and would be able to see me after all. Unfortunately, 15 minutes later, he was still unavailable, and I told the staff that I could no longer wait. My issue was not that I waited but there has been no follow up phone call to reschedule my appointment. I can appreciate when someone is running behind. I think the lack of follow up is disappointing.

The staff there was incredibly helpful. My feet are so hard to size because they’re super long and super skinny, plus I have arthritis, but they spent so much time with me going over all my options and what I should look for in a shoe to help with my particular problems. If you have any sort of foot issues, I highly recommend this place.

I can not say enough good things about my experiences over the past three years shopping here. I had been in quite a bit of pain for several months and nothing seemed to make a real difference. My doctor wrote a script for a custom orthodic insert.Then I had the best professional fitting for shoes that I have had in years. Yes, they are expensive, but worth the expense. Every shoe I have purchased from them fits, supports my feet and is worn. No more settling for shoes that almost fit and end up hurting my feet and never being worn again. Thank you

Ive been coming here for years, always professional & top notch work (all work done on-site). I never compromise with things you use half of your day like Shoes, Beds, etc - Shoes, like your bed, when not the right fit for your issues, can cause all sorts of other problem,

Knowledgeable and helpful staff. I came in with foot pain that I had been dealing with for months. They recommended some insoles and within 2 weeks the pain was gone and I was able to hike 5 miles 2 days in a row. I highly recommend them.

The salesman did spend some time with me fitting me, but he put me in a size 14 sneaker. I know the theory that the shoe should fit the arch not the length of foot. I used to wear size 11 and the folks at Grassroots taught me about measuring the arch and they put me in 12 (I have flat feet). I could see maybe 13 max, but 14s were so long I was tripping upstairs and had trouble fitting my feet in the car and kept getting stuck when trying to press the gas pedal and brake. Very dangerous. Plus its way overpriced. I know a store cant offer the same price as online stores, but they charged me $240 for New Balance sneakers that I found online for $120, and $75 for orthotics I found online for $40. Come on, be reasonable. Youd have more customers if you brought your prices down.

I have had disabling foot pain for several years, without much help from Podiatrists, Orthopedic Surgeons, Physical Therapists, and even an Acupuncturist. The day I walked into this store, I was put into Xelero shoes, with a Sole insert, which molds to ones foot, and I have gotten my life back! I still have limitations, but no more pain in every step, no more cane, no more scooters in grocery stores. I wish I had found you a couple of years ago! Thank you!!

They have helped me immensely with plantar fasciitis! Everyone there is very knowledgeable and helpful. Custom orthotics were made while I waited and were very reasonably priced!

This place itself isnt to bad minus some phone connection issues. In the end it was my Drs fault for why I didnt get my orthotics when I was supposed to get them. Dan is the man when It came to the plan of my orthotics. Just dont call this place with an angry attitude or they the receptionist just wont really want to deal with you. Not a bad place, orthotics seem ok right now tho. We will be married till the end
