Took my elderly sister to remove her deceased husband from the account and never had such poor service. Shes been a customer for 30 years, had the same phone and this was our 4th attempt to resolve this situation. She went a few years ago but they needed her husband. Went back with him who had dementia and had no idea who he was. Went again after he passed and needed a death certificate. Mir, the rude customer service rep said she could change the account and get a new phone with a discount on a promotion. Shes paid a minimum of $1800 on service for the last several years which her husband did not use. After the phone was picked out the rep denied saying anything about a promotion. Started getting disrespectful with her, mind you she is 84 years old, so I and her daughter stepped in and I blatantly told him he was rude and it wouldnt be tolerated and we wanted a manager. Some rent a cop security wanted us to leave and wanted me to step outside which I refused. So the manager named Melissa who was no better than Mir took over. I told her that she and her Employee owed my sister an apology. She refused and basically said that they did not. I go through Sprint/T-mobile and have for years and have never been treated this way. I wanted to respect my sisters wishes who wanted to stay with US Cellular but I would do without a cell phone before I went with them. I would rate them a minus 5 stars.

At first it was fine when I just had my iPad line then in October I add a phone line and since my number was a 708 they dont serve that area anymore so I had to get a new number but the rep now let me let you know that 3 different rep told me the same that I will have the same deal as if I was import my number and til these day nothing. Now I was just on the phone with a rep very nice guy the best he can do was 8 dollars a month as with the promotion I orginal sign up for was free phone.. Im very upset and knowing they were a great company when they were in the Chicagoland area til now they lie and dont Honor there deals Im stuck with a phone for 25 months when I could of just waited for TMobile get have a upgrade promotion.. dont go with this company unless you have everything writes down so youll have proof if they mess up.
Before you go here, check if the Machesney Park location is open. Machesney solved all of my issues this store couldnt. Wasted a lot of time here, will not be going back.
Used curbside service to check on something odd with my new phone. The associate was very friendly, listened to my concerns and took my phone inside to work on it. Delivered back to my car and explained what he did. Very good experience!

I returned to US Cellular about 2 years ago largely because of there excellent customer service they offer. However after my visit to the East State st store in Rockford today Im doubting that decision. I went to the store today in part to get some pricing on a new phone. I have found in the past that the pricing on the US Cellular website if often inaccurate for existing customers. I was attempting to figure out how I could find accurate pricing for the phone I want. The man helping me was incredibly rude, snappy and very unhelpful. I left the store with absolutely no pricing and no idea where to find the correct pricing. All he would tell me was that he did not handle US Cellulars website (duh!) and they do not currently have any promotions. If you must visit this location stear clear of Joaino (he had an unusual name so I may have misspelled it). All the other staff who has helped me in the past have been fantastic.

Went with my sister an two nephews. An they told us the kids had to stay in the car, only two people allowed in the store or one of us had to stay in the car with them. The store only had 3 other customers in there I dont see what the big deal was. Im an authorized user and my sister was getting the phone, while both her kids were too young to stay in the car on their own 😡😡. If it was up to me I would of told her to go to AT&T. They wouldnt of told us the kids had to stay in the car.

The store has some awesome Associates like Joel and Millard that always do their best to help you solve all your problems, not only with your US Cellular devices but also with a variety of accessories. Joel even went out of his way to provide us with complimentary snacks and beverages after a long wait one Friday night.
Very satisfied finally ! We have. Been there quite a few times with no satisfaction. The young man (Willard) was very helpful . Thank you Willard.

Our phone died while on vacation. technical support said i needed to bring it into a authorized store which i did. After waiting forever the agent .he finally sat down then kept getting up to greet customers- must have been his job that day. when i finally had his attention he knew nothing about our LG phone. i had to explain to him what to do. Then he said he couldnt help me and i could either pay them $35.00 to send our phone back or I could do. Why would I pay them?? Had numerous problems with LG.. Brought my phone to US cellular Authorized agent Dr Detail right up the street and Jaime helped me get the problem solved. Thank you Jaime for being professional. Shame on a corporate store for not.

People were great service was great actual cellular service for internet SUCKS!!!!! Spend the extra money go to Verizon my wife and I have been nothing but unhappy with the cellular service wish we would of stayed at verizon!!! Cant wait tell the contract is up prolly wont wait!

Happy with the service although I have a small weak spot (very weak) at Spring Creek (by Anderson Gardens) and Parkview and on Guilford Rd from Parkview east 1/4 mile. Wouldnt normally be a big deal but it is where I live so I lose calls and cant get on line. Everywhere else service is great. I accelerated this problem several years ago and they sent out an engineer who said we have big trees in the area. We have big trees everywhere in town. Its the Forest City. Overall happy with the service and the store on East state St is nice. You dont have 3 hour waits anymore. Wish they still had the service dept though.

Horrible experience ive been a customer for 10 years and their manger jamie parham at rockford illinois DR. detail us cellular went into my account unknowingly and stole my contacts and was calling harassing my friends and family she is a fraud and a stalker will be suing for fraudulent privacy and will be switching providers
I took the advice from the review below, Brooks mom, and spoke with Rob and as the review stated he directed me in the right direction. Unfortunately, there was a disconnect between the customer service representative I spoke on the phone and the information I received in-store but he spent over two hours clearing any confusion and answered all my questions. All in all, Ive been with US Cellular for over 10 years and I can say they have the best customer service and coverage in the US. GSM networks do not have as great coverage as CDMA networks, such as Sprint, Verizon and US Cellular. Sprint is okay but the coverage map shown on their website is incorrect, the coverage is very spotty and the internet speeds are slow. Verizon, has the best network but charges a fortune and customer service can be better. All in all, US Cellular provides excellent coverage for a great price-plus no contracts! Though, they may have older phones but they test all their phones and products in-depth, so in my opinion that is more important, having cell coverage when you need it the most.
The employee would rather chit chat than actually do there job. Ive had to wait for an hour just to be helped for 5 minutes...
Dropped calls since june.we are just outside us cellular service area now,have called many times wasted alot of my time with 611 fianally after hours on phone and at office tech from 611 told me you have no serivce because no tower near you stops at east street in capron.called numerous times sunday dropped calls about 6 times.bright an early monday morning brother and i got to office on perryville.....MANAGER...alvin came out tryed to calm me down did not really work.told him DISTRICT MANAGER.SCOTT just happened to put in told him the deal.he is going to get ahlod of ED the engineer..see what he can do.they also said you can buy a booster for in the house?? WHY I AM BUYING A BOOSTER BECAUSE THE SERVICE LOUSY???? I THINK US CELLULAR SHOULD PROVIDE IT......we have had them since they were primeco out of texas.long time.4 phones on bill.alvin said maybe he could drop us from our contract.....we have had the phones for so long we have no contract..i asked do they still offer what we have??? OH NO NOT ANYMORE.......they would love to dump us......i am waiting until wed when they said they would have an answer....we will see...i do not want to buy a booster i just looked at prices and they are HUGE........scott also told me you have to register it with uscellular......i am sure they would want money for that also..........since our service is bad we have 4 phones we bought a verizon phone FREE unlimted talk,text,we will never text but we need something case we have an emergency......BEWARE OF SERVICE AND USCELLULAR NONSENSE
