I purchased a used laptop from Bisconti in 2010. It is still going strong. Battery drains faster now, but it is 11 years ago.Getting ready to buy my son his first PC and are looking for something refurbished and dont want to pay an arm and leg for it, so look out Bisconti....here we come. LOL

My iPad was not working today, and the majority of the problem was because of storage on iCloud. It would not back up information. Theresa was so helpful and friendly. She discovered that I had too many apps taking up cloud space. She solved my problem quickly and efficiently. Thank you, Theresa! I will recommend you to anyone I know having computer or iPad issues.

I took my computer in to get it fixed. I had a windows error code. They fixed my computer, but all of my personal information, social security number, passwords and other identifying info was stolen. Someone went into my unemployment website and changed my banking information to theirs and certified my claim. Luckily, I caught it time or my entire unemployment check would have been stolen.The person had to have my password. The only way they could have gotten it was from my phone or computer. If it was random the person would have had to change my password using my social security number.I was reluctant to get my computer fixed because so much of my personal information was on there. I just thought that going through a reputable company would reduce my risk.I do not recommend this place. I literally handed them all the information needed to steal my identity.

I brought my iPhone 7 Plus in for repair on Tuesday September 14th, 2021. It was charging intermittently. Since that was my only phone, I told them how important it was because my dad calls me from the nursing home 2-4 times a day and if he can’t get ahold of me, he sends out the search committee. It is also my lifeline to possible employment. The lady at the front counter told me that she would have the technician take a look at it and email me with a quote by 4pm. She said there would be a $25 diagnostic fee and that could be applied to the repair. I waited til way after 5pm with no email, I used a friends phone and called to see what was going on. She said the tech went home for the night but it would be $148 to repair. I asked what was wrong with it and she said the USB port needed to be replaced. I assumed she meant the charging port. She said the part would need to be ordered and that the tech would call or email when the part was in. In the meantime I went and picked up the phone to use til they got the part in. I went and plugged the phone in to charge and nothing! It would not even charge now! Before it died completely, I transferred calls to my friends phone but was left stranded without texts and all the apps I use daily. The next day they never called or text. I ended up calling “Rockford Cell Phone Repair” and the nice gentleman came over and picked it up and had it fixed the same day for $75! I will NEVER use Bisconti for anything! Not cell phone or computer repair! Horrible service and horrible customer service!!

I will give the highest rating possible for this company. I have had 3 computers and have finally found a place that supports me and my computer. The laptop technicians have no idea what they are doing and dont own up to their mistakes. I brought my laptop here to get a charging port fixed. Not only did it take 5 days for them to even look at it, but when they did the technician broke the plastic palm rest and plastic side parts of my laptop while dismantling it and they told me it was like that when they looked at it and I needed to replace it because it wont go back on. So, they took apart my computer in the wrong way and forced plastic parts open that did not need to be opened to get to the charging port that needed to be fixed. They were going to charge me to fix the plastic part they broke and the charging port and it was going to take a week to even get the parts. I picked up my computer so fast and told them to put it back together (which they did and they put the plastic palm rest back on that couldnt be put back on). Do not trust these people, they are just trying to make a quick buck.

They warranty nothing! And want to charge you diagnose the issue they said they fixed the 3 previous visits. Can they say lawyer? I sure can. I wouldnt let Bisconti scratch a pimple on your (fill in the blank)! Its the mother board, replaced, still have issue. Sorry its your screen, replaced, still have issue. Nope sorry Its a video cable, replaced, still have issue. Oh were sorry... it was your battery, yeah thats it, the battery. 2 1/2 months of replacing parts and $500 later I go to fire up the laptop (its special use taxes for clients hadnt been used for over 3 months) and the exact same issue as before. Diagnosis for free... thats not what your parts change said. And if course you already know it is some new issue. Thanks but no thanks... it will diagnosed by a real professional and this fly by night (Bisconti) can pay for it all and the $500 they stole from me.Jan. 30,2021It took a few days and money well spent, but after taking the laptop Bisconti didnt fix to a reputable repair shop in 20 minutes it was perfect! But I had to be sure...I requested that the old parts (mother board, the screen, a connector that was seated and THEN the battery [that were diagnosed in that order on 3 different visits] re-installed and just guess what... just guess? The Laptop worked just fine with the mother board, the screen and the battery Bisconti diagnosed were bad. After the 3rd time they claimed to have fixed; I said can we make sure because the first 2x is why Im here now. The tech (Josh I think) plugged it in and guess what... yep NO SCREEN! Then they tell me, oh your battery was bad. I ASKED THAT VERY DAY, HOW AM I SUPPOSE TO BELIEVE THAT YOU BATTERY REMOVED & REPLACED PRACTICALLY EVERYTHING; that those components were defective? Oh of course ($500 later) they were cause they checked them. But now they work? So, today I returned to the store to discuss this miracle that the old parts were good as gold and working. And do they have any intent of making this right. They refused to help me because I said I would seek legal restitution. I then asked for the diagnostic report of the repair sequence and was so angry didnt even look at it until I left, and this is what i got...a template that he stood there in front of me writing pass/fail. Save yourself the headache! DONT USE BISCONTI. JUDGE JUDY HERE WE COME!

Be prepared to pay because they know they have you !! .My wife took her computer there and they charged her a $200 retainer to check out her computer and afterwards told her they couldnt do anything with it and charged her the full 200. UbreakIfix didnt charge anything for the same service, Needless to say the will never see us again Reply: I can understand $200 if you actually fixed or replaced something but all you did was diagnose the problem which was that you couldnt fix it and you still charged her 200 and UbreakIfix did the same thing for no charge.So what does that say about you .I own my own business and to me thats piss poor customer service.

When my old laptop hard drive crashed and I lost everything, I was fortunate enough to obtain another hard drive and some media from the Internet. Were talking DOS based software, people! Bisconti Computers personnel were incredible in getting everything configured and installed, and I was up and running again. One for the books! Many, many thanks to the team!

Beware of their no return, no exchange policy - I have had three Mac adapters from this place go bad in under 30 days and they will not allow for a return for what is, essentially, a defective offbrand product - that by the way sells on Amazon for $22 - Bisconti sells it for $69 and will not help if it goes bad. Its the only tech store Ive ever been in my life where they will not help you with defective products, and that should make any buyer leery!

Today, I stopped by Bisconti without an appointment or anything because I got a new phone and was having difficulty syncing my phone to my laptop with iTunes. What would be a reasonably quick fix, was actually not. And without the lengthy help from Bobby to troubleshoot my problem, it would not have been resolved. Bobby, without hesitation, professionally helped be to fix my issue. I think this went above and beyond what a person would do and hope that he is recognized for his due diligence and expertise on the issue that was beyond frustrating to me. Great working with you Bobby! Ill be sure to ask for you on my next visit!

Great staff (Robert and Lauren) and good experience. They were quick to diagnose my tablet and provide a report. The repair cost was $80 less than what the manufacturer was charging. I would much rather support the local home grown business than the big box chains. Good job guys, keep it up!

A few months back I brought my computer into Bisconti Computers as I had accidentally spilled liquid on it and would not turn back on. The technician called me the next week letting me know it would cost over $800 to fix it as they would have to replace the motherboard due to corrosion. Since this is their job, I took their word on it. So I left it at that and decided the computer was junk. When I decided to finally throw it away, I was going to take the hard drive out, and while doing so, I decided to check to see what the corrosion looked like that they had stated, and to my surprise, I didnt see any on the motherboard. So I put the computer back together and the computer works perfectly fine. So they charged me the fee they charge to check computers and I went out and bought myself a new computer when mine was only a year and half old, when I didnt need to, but currently writing this review on the one that was broken and cost me $0 to fix.Thanks

I stopped in to get some help with my key fob to my truck: it had very short range which was getting shorter and shorter all the time. Within ten minutes the store rep got it cleaned and working from a much longer distance!

Awesome computer repair and retailer. I had Bisconti computers build me a computer a couple years ago and it still works great. Additionally my head phones broke off in my headphone jack on my ipad and they were able to remove it for me.

I highly recommend Bisconti! They are not only very knowledgeable, but they are very professional as well. I have used them several times now for various things and they always make recommendations based on exactly what I asked for without being salesy or trying to sell me something I dont need. I really like that and will definitely utilize their services long term!

I brought my Toshiba lap top to Bisconti Computers after visiting the store I purchased it from, Best Buy, because Best Buy wanted $70.00 to look at it for 4 missing machine screws on the backside of the lap top. They also needed two days to make the repairs. When I brought it to Bisconti, Robert Bisconti installed the missing screws immediately and wished me a Happy Holiday NO CHARGE. I learned two things from this experience: One when I need another computer I will come here first and two I will always bring any computer to them for service as they truly know what customer service is all about.

I went in with a power problem on my laptop and thats what I told them. They said they had to do a diagnostic process to ensure what the problem was. After a week they called to tell me there was a power problem. DUH!!! Another week passed before the part was received and I got the laptop back, total charges nearly $200. When I got it home it wouldnt connect to the internet. I called and they said theyd have to look at it to determine the problem. The 40 mile drive and their slow diagnostics werent worth their supposed 30 day guarantee on work. So I spent a day and a half learning more than I wanted, ending up opening up the machine to find out that they had left the wireless adapter antenna disconnected. I reconnected the wires and everything is fine. I dont doubt that if I had taken it back in there would have been more complications and more charges. This place will try to rip you off...beware.

Outstanding experience. Had exactly what I need in stock to keep my laptop working. From the repairs to accessories for the past 5 years theyve always taken care of me.

I had to have a new screen to use my email and was having trouble using it. Jeff got on line remotely with me twice and was very patient walking me through the nuances required to use it. 4 years ago they took my 70 bucks just to tell my laptop was fine. Im still haunted about it because I was able to fix it myself for 15 bucks. Not too hard to tell if a fan is broken, but I guess it is for these guys. Ive been brewing about this forever and am finally getting around to leaving a review. This anger has been eating away at me for years. Ive ruined relations with women, family and friends. Im hoping this post will help me come to terms with the injustice that Bisconti bestowed upon me. Think twice about everything thats important to you in your life before you put your trust in their hands.. Because what can start as a simple broken fan.. can lead to a broken man.

I went a year and a half without my macbook pro because I was told the logic board was bad and there was no point in replacing it because of the cost. Although they would gladly sell me a new macbook to help me out. Over a year later I reluctantly decided I would have my Mac screened by the Geek Squad, which came back with a bad hard drive (which I originally thought was the problem). It ended up costing me $12 for a hard drive wire and $60 for a solid state hard drive. Thanks for trying to up sell me and making me believe my Mac was worthless. I would never recommend this company to anyone after my experience.Response: The Geek Squad did my diagnostic for free, and I replaced the hard drive myself. As far as the reliability, my mac has never ran better. I made these repairs about 6 months ago, and as I stated it is performing very well, and I have no plans to replace it any time soon. As for declining the total repair, you never quoted me a price, you just said it would cost almost as much as one of your new macs you had for sale. Thanks once again for your LONG TERM recommendation, and if you were so worried about looking bad, you should have given me the honest state/condition of my computer.

Had a dead Lenovo laptop. The guys at Bisconti. Fixed the problem and sorted an overfull hard drive. 1 month later I had a power up fault. And the guys flashed the system and fixed it free of charge. Great service and thanks again.

Did a repair for me on my sons iPad mini. Within a few days I returned because the adhesive didnt cure correctly and the screen was lifting. Fast forward one year later and the entire screen had come unglued. We didnt know of the problem sooner because the iPad was encased in an otter box case. I took it into the store to fix and they wanted to charge $80 to redo the work. They didnt stand by the work they performed, and with places like fix it fast and other repair shops that offer lower prices and quality guarantees there is no reason to ever return.

The owner called my computer machine “poo poo on a stick” and said i could not even run pinball. I will not be coming back

Called Bisconti Computers on Monday night and got an apt for Tuesday night. Wanted them to install Foscam camera on my Apple computer...Nice guy named Mickey (Spelled wrong) came out and did just what I asked. Got my camera hooked up to my computer and my I Phone. He was fast and knew what he was doing. The next day my camera didnt work on my computer,because the address changed.(Not his fault) I called him and he told me what to do on the phone in less than a minute. Bisconti Computer has fast and good service. This is the second time I have used them and will not call anyone else...Thanks Again Mickey your the best!!!!

I would never go back to Bisconti Computers again. They charge $69 just to look at your lap top and tell you it is broke.....no kidding I knew what was wrong with it in the first place. It took 3 weeks for them to finally give me some options of what to do. I only had a cracked screen and their two options were to order a screen from China which would take 2 months and cost $469 or they would get me a refurbished laptop and transfer the data from my old one to that one for $469. It seemed that $469 was the magic number around there. I would call to check on my laptop and every time I was told that the person working on my computer would call me back.....needless to say it took days before I ever received a call back each time. When I did get a call back no one could answer any of my questions. I finally gave up and went to pick up my laptop frustrated with the whole process. When I picked up my laptop I was told it was impossible to hook it to another monitor and make it work. LIES. My brother disabled the touch screen and like magic everything worked just fine (just without touchscreen). Also, all the screws were left out of my laptop they didnt even bother putting it back together when they gave it to me. I was cheated out of information because they were trying to get me to spend an outrageous amount of money there. It also took 2 minutes to find a replacement screen for $94 on the internet. Why did it take 3 weeks for them to find one and attempt charge me $469? I wasted time, money, and was told a lot of lies all for nothing. Beware of their expensive prices and their need to try and upsell you on everything.

After taking my ipad mini to them not only did they not fix it, they charged me for repairs that were never made, after reassuring me they could fix it. I now have my ipad back with out a screen, before it was cracked and at least worked. Now it doesnt even work

Ive been in Rockford for 10 years and have done business with Bisconti a vew times, they are a great place to get quick knowledgeable answers.

My wife took in the laptop because it would not turn on. It took more than a week for them to diagnose a bad hard drive and I was told the total cost would be nearly $400 after the diag fee. I looked around for a cheaper place and found a competitor that was nearly half the cost for the same fix. Glad I didnt have to buy a new computer but cannot recommend this store based the cost of repairs.

Went in a couple of weeks ago to see if they had a basic charger for an ASUS laptop. I do have some computer knowledge and asked the guy there if they had xyz brand of a basic charger model thinking maybe they resold older models since you can get various parts from them.Instead the man behind the counter assumes Im an ignorant customer and takes me over to a $60 universal charger and tries to tell me its the only option for me and that I should also bring in my laptop.Im all for businesses making deal and buying locally but when I come into a place armed with knowledge beforehand and ask for something specifically, I dont expect to be treated like an idiot.I bought a basic charger from Amazon for $8 and waited the two days for shipping and it works beautifully; meanwhile Bisconti has one less customer for trying to upsell me a $60 charger as the only option. I would have been fine paying 15 or even 20 for a basic charger. Id still be coming to Bisconti even if they had just said no we dont carry.Walk into a store and know what you want to buy or you might be taken advantage of by these guys.

Terrible. Needed thermal paste done. Came in with 60 fps performance, left with 12 fps performance. Then, they tried to accuse us of breaking it. They also forgot to plug my blueray back in; then attempted to accuse us of their mistake. Would NOT recommended. Very disappointed.
