I just leased a new mini from South Shore Mini Cooper. I dealt with motor agent Luigi, who was fantastic! He was helpful and super responsive to me. I made an appointment for 7:45am on the website and I dropped my car off the night before. In the afternoon I hadn’t heard anything so I called. I was told the car was just going in and I would get a call back before the end of the day. I got no callback and by noon the next day I still hadn’t received any communication from the service department. I called and was told the car still hadn’t even been looked at. So in 30 hours from my appointment there was no assessment of the car and no communication from the service department.This isn’t the first time I have received poor service at South Shore Mini. Why would they accept an appointment if they weren’t going to look at the car for two days?When I drove my car away without any service, a new problem arose, with the engine light coming on and the car barely drivable.I won’t be returning to South Shore Mini and the $1000 plus I paid to have my car serviced went to a competitor.

Luigi was a great salesperson. He patiently showed us a number of Mini Coopers. He described the differences between the S and the regular one and gave us an honest opinion of what he felt was our Best Buy.He handled our trade well and gave us a good price for our used Lexus. Warren, the tech expert spent at least 40 minutes with us showing us all the tech features of our new car. He was patient and clear unlike the salesperson of the previous car we bought where we were rushed through the features in about 5 minutes. Ibo, the finance manager was clear and organized and not pushy at all about getting extra warranties. We highly recommend Luigi & Co at South Shore Mini!!

Scott was incredible, I had an appointment to look at a car, hours later I had traded in my old car and was driving out in a Cooper Countryman. They check and came back and said I did not need brakes, not now or anytime soon. Leased my second car from South Shore Mini today. Inventory seems to be low this year, so ordering a car and waiting for it was the best option. And I did wait (3-4 months), but I was on a lease, and I loved the Mini I was driving, so I had a great car while I waited β€” not exactly a hardship. (The financial side of the business happily extends your lease while you wait for the new car to be manufactured. One easy phone call is all that takes.) Ordering the car did not add to the cost. You just choose your options and toys and gimmicks, and they make your car. Shout out to salesperson Kaif who made the purchase easy and kept me posted along the way. He’s admirably patient if you ask questions. The new car came in mint condition, another benefit of ordering one β€” it was never a showroom car, so nobody has test driven it. I got it with 5 miles on it. They have a new kind of employee there called a Product Genius I think. Shout out to Warren who provided a superb run-through of the car’s features. Sometimes the β€˜let me show you all about it’ people drive you nuts explaining the simplest things in gory detail, but Warren knows not to do that. The lease paperwork, handled by Ivo, is easy, and almost none of it is actually on paper β€” you tap and sign your life away on an iPad. It’s all smooth, and every detail was exactly correct. Mini dealerships do not grow on trees β€” this one is about 35 miles from me. They’re worth the drive, and the car only needs an oil change every 10,000 miles, so you don’t need to trek to the dealer but once a year. You know those people who are in love with their car, and they’re really annoying? South Shore Mini has turned me into one of them.

Brought my cooper s in for a coolant leak I couldnt figure out. In about a hr or so I got a call of what it was. Did a great job on the repair. As I left I noticed a scratch that had happen. I contact the service manager and instantly was offer to have them fix it no questions asked. They gave me a loaner car for a few days while the paint was fixed. Came.back looking great. Over all very happy with their work and customer service. Will.be back in the future.

I received terrible customer service from the Parts Department at South Shore Mini in Rockland, MA. They treated me horribly and really stressed me out. About a month ago, I purchased a remote key for my 2011 Mini Cooper S for $318. The key was later verified to be defective by another Mini service center and so I tried to return that key to South Shore Mini for a refund. The salesperson and his foreman refused to refund me for the defective key.In preparation for transferring my car to my friend who lives in Colorado, I purchased the key as a replacement for one that was lost. When I purchased the key, the people at South Shore Mini did not bother to program the key for me but instead gave me an instruction sheet. When my friend picked up the car, we didnt want to mess with programming the key for fear that it may cause problems with the one key that did work. When my friend got to his intermediate destination (1200 miles away), they tried to program the key and an electronics module (known as the footwell module) failed which caused loss of electrical power to many components. The car was towed to a nearby Mini dealer for repairs. After the car was repaired, my friend asked the technician at that that dealership to setup the new key but they were not able to successfully program it. They diagnosed the problem and determined that they key was defective. When my friends got to their final destination, they shipped the useless key back to me so that I could return it for a refund. During my encounter with the representatives at the Parts Department, I described my situation to them and they treated me as if I was ignorant (perhaps because I dont speak English so well). They claimed that there was nothing wrong with the key by pulling out the physical key from the remote and told me that I could use that. The physical key portion has nothing to do with whether the remote works or not. Then they also told me that the remote key would set itself up and the procedure in instructions was just a backup. The bottom line is that the key never worked and the people at South Shore Mini refused to refund me for my purchase even though a competent technician at a different Mini dealer tried to program that key and he couldnt get it to work. This has been a terrible experience and I will never do business with that business again.

We found a car on Truecar that was at South Shore MINI and contacted them immediately, they offered us a deal via email and I called, at first they said they had the car but that it was being processed and not ready to sell but it was listed on several sites, including their own website as being for sale. Then the salesperson texted me and told me that he could not find the car and that the person in charge of the car had left for the day. He said that the car was for sale and he would call me back in two days as he had the next day off. Then in the middle of the night someone emailed me and said opps the car was sold. My husband called that morning and a different sales person said yes it was there for sale. He asked he wanted to test drive it. He said yes he could come immediately. He then said let me call you back and then texted him an hour later and told him that the car was no longer available because it was going to auction not for personal sale. Both people did not know what they were doing.

Routine yearly (5th) service and maintenance visit. They recommended new tires, which were comparably priced to big chain tire stores. Waited comfortably outside at a picnic table. Weather was exceptionally nice for October, so not an issue to be outdoors. When they had questions they came out looking for me. Everyone was wearing masks and anytime an employee got in a car they wore gloves.

Like all dealers they lowballed and was not really a fair price. While I contemplated trading in and I ultimately did, the price was far below what it should’ve been. I called to find out the cost to replace my battery, scheduled an appointment, drove a Β½ hour to the dealership for find out they are out of stock because there is a battery shortage. If they know they have limited stock than they should make sure they have the proper battery in stock before wasting a customer’s time.

With the current Virus situation The service visit went fine as I was the only Service customer In the waiting area.They were able to fix the rear hatch latch and perform a multi point inspection in a decent Amount of time.At the time we bought the vehicle We had purchased an extended Warranty service Contract And I recommend buying one at the time of a new / newer Mini vehicle purchase.I checked in for a 9AM service and the vehicle was serviced and the exterior washed by 10:30PM.
