I bought a car from Southern a little over a year ago. The service was unmatched for a used car dealership. John was excellent in so many ways. First, the car I bought had a ton of miles for a 2015 and Johns price was more than accommodative. Second, John was able to nearly remove the smoke smell completely from the car himself and honestly made it feel like a brand new car. Third, I had a nuanced issue with my registration which John really had nothing to do with but he was still able to help provide guidance as to how to get it resolved. The entire buying process truly felt like I was buying a car from a close friend. I would definitely recommend my family and friends to Southern for those looking for quality used cares coupled with excellent service.

Great prices and the cars are all in great shape. Usually when you buy a used car the first thing you have to do is get new tires, well not at this place. Great plus. The owner is a very nice and knowledgeable man. His father who helps gets the cars ready does a terrific job bringing out the shine. I couldn’t be happier. Thanks guys.

Southern Auto is a fantastic place to buy a used car from. Where do I start? First off they are so quick to getting back to you if you leave them a message or call. They are all about the customer. Some places are so quick to get you in and out of the door and make their money as fast as they can. That is not the case here! They want you to have a great experience and are willing to help in any way shape or form. The car I bought from them is great! The only problem was that the heat wasn’t working well unfortunately. Well guess what? They worked as hard as they could to fix my heat as fast as they could and they got my heat up and running within a few days. I can say without a doubt I will come back here if I need another car. John and his parents were amazing and helped me so much. Thanks so much.

I contacted Southern Auto Sales looking for a Jeep Wrangler Rubicon TJ. I received an email back within minutes stating they have one that they were prepping for sale. I went to look at it and knew I would not find a better TJ. It was in great shape. I purchased it and once I was in possession of it, I took it to a mechanic that I trust and he inspected it. He found a few minor issues and Gary took care of each and everyone of them on his dime. Buying a 14 year old jeep in that good of shape, Gary taking care of the minor issues and the great experience with this dealer I highly, highly recommend them especially if you are looking for a Jeep Wrangler. I dont know how they get Jeeps in such great shape.

Honest people, fair price and easy to deal with.Its the first time I feel happy with an used car dealership.Be patient with them since its a small shop and sometimes you have to wait to get someone to help you.I bought a used Subaru 2006 with 144k miles. After I bought it I toke it to a mechanic that I know and the only thing my mechanic found was a small thing that they repaired when I took the car back. I did pay the part ($50) since it wasnt totally worn but they didnt charge me labor. The car passed inspection without the repair, so the dealer didnt had to do it anyway.It wasnt my first experience with used cars dealerships but until today, was the only one that I can say Ill be back for my next used car.Thank you to John and his dad for this experience.

Fantastic experience. This wont be your usual sketchy, questionable used car experience. Youll be talking with honest, intelligent and personable people. John was upfront and honest with me through the entire process. I purchased a Subaru and would recommend to any friends or family. They are highly educated when it comes to Subarus and understand the value in being honest with customers.

I bought my Outback from these folks almost a year ago. I meant to review them sooner, but Im getting to it now. Seriously awesome! My car has some issues, but nothing that wouldnt be expected with the mileage and year. I would absolutely buy a car from them again. As always, I would recommend having any vehicle checked out by a mechanically minded person. But based on my experience, they were reasonable, fair, and forthright.

I had called on one of the Subaru Foresters for my daughter and the car salesman I spoke with seemed disoriented. He had trouble answering basic general questions and did not get back to me after he said he was going to call me. Poor experience.

What a great place to get a quality car! I cant say enough good things about John. I went there a few days ago to see a 2014 Subaru Impreza, but unfortunately it had sold earlier that day. John told me he had another one which he had recently gotten, but he was replacing some parts before he would sell it. I knew from reading other reviews that he is upfront about inspecting and fixing any problems before he will sell a car. He told me he would keep in touch with me and let me know when the car was ready to show. Today I went there, the Subaru was in perfect condition, looked and drove like it was brand new! John gave me the history of the car and told me exactly what he did, he really values his customers. I purchased the car, there were NO FEES! He said if any issues pop up in the next month he will take care of them. This totally changed car shopping for me, I cant see going anywhere else in the future!

If you want to leave a deposit to secure a car this definitely isn’t the place. Dropped a deposit on a car here because it had a pending app Andrew I wanted to make sure I would secure the car. I left 500 with them got my receipt and everything I just needed the remaining sales tax Andrew registration fee. Well today I found out they sold the car to the previous application even though they didn’t leave a deposit on the vehicle and I did. So basically if you need a vehicle this IS NOT THE PLACE TO COUNT ON. Now I’m stuck paying for a rental and their apology was a measly gas card for a car I DONT HAVE so thanks for the awful service

If I could give 0 stars I would..Unethical. Sold a jeep from under my daughter. Had someone coming up from Cape and said he had to ensure they had first crack. Wholeheartedly respected that; reiterated that if they did not want the jeep please mark as sold! Checked my daughters credit (first time buyer) and stated may need a co-signer, said husband would do. My daughter left happy and hopeful! Called after 5 (John stated cape people said thyd be there by then). Told us he couldnt do anything until tomorrow and hed call my daughter; hed did at 10:40am (We told him she works during day as a counselor and couldnt be reached; although she was checking her phone) when she saw message; 3 hrs later he stated he couldnt hold jeep, had a buyer and sold it and stated he probably couldnt get her into it anyway! Lie! Broke her heart and was sneaky and unethical, showed us no respect that I fully thought he had...this is the poster board for sleazy used car dealers if I ever saw!! Definitely plan on letting everyone and anyone know...as well as the BBB.

Made the mistake of not having an independent mechanic inspect a car I bought from John because be boasted about all his great reviews on Better Business bureau. At a routine oil change months after purchase my mechanic found severe rot/decay of front end control arm and frame rail. I said to John I trusted you so I didn’t have an independent inspection. His response “that was your first mistake”. John was quick to throw his mechanic under the bus asking him “how’d you miss this?” Part failed and broke I half 3 days later stranding my wife at work requiring car to be towed on a Saturday night. I said we were all lucky this didn’t happen while my wife was on the highway and not in her work parking lot. While technically out of warranty John admitted car was most likely in this condition at purchase and this kind of rust doesn’t happen in 6 months time. I could go on with more details about how poorly he handled this situation but greed and profit are apparently more important than inspecting their cars for safety before selling them. Get an independent mechanic inspection before buying from John at Southern Auto Sales.

Not sure why everyone is putting John on a pedestal. The guy is still a used car salesman. He acted condescending and extremely rude to me even after I told him that this would be my first car purchase. He laughed at me when I told him how much money I made (which was enough to buy a car). I recommend to skip over this guy when car shopping.

Saw a 07 Outback for a fair price and with under 80K miles online, exactly what Id been looking for. Id been a couple of weeks of looking at Subarus, CRVs and RAV4s as I want something that will go 300K and had been having disappointing experiences in my area.Called John who explained the car had had the head gasket replaced with OEM (to my knowledge the only problem on this series of Outbacks) and that theyd done the timing belt while they were in there.So I took a chance based on his having been very pleasant on the phone, drove further from home than Id planned, and found a car exactly as advertised, a dealer who was available to take a test drive and was willing to work with my specific financial needs.Its only been a month but I love this car; I might even wash wash it once in awhile. I have only good things to say about Southern Motors and have given his number to 2 co-workers. An all-around great experience, thanks again.
