My husband visited this location on Oct 18 to buy me some birthday gifts. They asked an employee where they could find a certain item. She just pointed them in a general direction, and said “back there” He went to ask her for some help, but she ignored him, and went to help someone else. They hung around the same area for 20 minutes trying to get someone’s attention, but were ignored. They had just come from hiking all day, so they may have been a bit dirty, but your employees really need to stop judging people by how they look. He spent over $100, and probably would have spent more if someone had helped him when he asked. He used my rewards barcode, and if someone had looked at that earlier, you would have seen I’ve been diamond for years, and he wasn’t just there trying to cause trouble or whatever else is was you thought him and my 8 year old son were doing there.

I do NOT recommend the Rocklin store. I spent two hours comparing different products and their prices, narrowing down my selection to around 10 items. Went to checkout only to be told I was not going to be able to purchase about five items I wanted, saying the manufacturer wanted them back. These items should NOT have been on the shelves then. Total waste of my time at this store.

I always enjoy my trips to ulta beauty. I love the recommendations from the staff. My one complaint is that with covid, you cant test the products. They are taped over. I recognize the need for that. I would recommend having the lids off of the eyeliners and lipsticks though, so we can at least view the actual colors.

Great variety & quality! Ive never bought an Ultra brand item that I didnt love, especially the brow pencils & brushes. The staff is... oddly vaguely hostile. But I still need mascara, so what can you do?

Had what I needed, helped me as soon as I walked in guided me right to the product I asked for, and the price was comparable.

I was in your store Sunday morning. It was not busy. There was one person at the front check out. She had a long transaction, looked like returns, she never looked up to see if anyone was even there. Probably could have stole the whole store,Why didn’t she look up, check for needed staff. By the time I got up to counter there were 7 customers in line, all of us very upset over such poor service.I was asked if I found everything. My answer was yes, except anyone to check me out, I am not a impatient person usually, but that was plain neglectful.Please ask your staff to be aware of backups, call for help, there are many other stores to buy your merchandise from.Not a happy customer, Kathy simmons

The sales associates were very attentive when we first arrived in the store. It has a nice clean layout and was not too busy. One of our favorite things about Ulta is their return policy that you can return things you dont like, even after you have opened them. They also had a great selection of products.

My favorite Ulta store. I live all the way in Orangevale and travel here just because i love this one so much. I also only come here because Valerie is here and does my hair and she does absolutely amazing every time and shes super sweet. I would highly recommend Valerie for any hair needs.

I went in for Mermaid Sparkles. They were all sold out, again! Otherwise, the store may have received a 5 star rating. Now, we will never know. 😁🐚 Okay, really a 5 star shopping experience thanks to the variety of stock available and personable service from staff. 😊

I live in Auburn (which has an Ulta) but I frequently make the drive to come to this location instead. The staff is way more friendly & helpful ... You feel like youre visiting friends! I also get my facials done here, Shari is the best & also has a medical background ... She explains things thoroughly & answers any questions. The store is always clean and comfortable to shop in. They have a big selection of products. You also see a lot of the store managers here, it is nice to see everyone involved. Happy employees make for happy customers!

Wanted to talk to a hair salon stylist. The only person there was a customer with dye on her roots sitting in a cape, then walking around. I asked her where the stylist was. The customer said she went on a 15 minute break. I thought to myself, and left you with chemicals on your hair? What if she had a reaction? What if her hair burnt?No one was around. No business cards. Just a customer with chemicals on her hair and her stylist on her coffee break somewhere away from the store.I went up front and asked for a phone number to contact the stylist . I was told oh no! We dont give out their personal phone numbers. I asked if they had a card with the Ulta hair salon number. I was told No. But the stylist will be back in ten minutes or so. You can wait. I said, Well I wont be here. And left.Wont be back.

Im always surprised at the lack of customer service, I came on hoping to get matched for some new foundation but instead heard all about how great a salesman they were as they gossoped to each other, only when I was on the phone did someone think to greet me. I guess I should thank them I went in expecting to spend upwards of $100 and instead spent $20 and matched myself with a cheaper foundation. The only person there that seemed to be trying to help customers was the man behind the register and he got reprimanded for leaving the counter to grab something for his customer. Poor guy he actually had the customers interest in mind and should be thanked for going above and beyond for his customer.

Not as packed as most ULTA and great location. There is a Target there as well as good places to eat. The inside is well stocked and obviously well informed staff on their products. The only thing is its not such an easy access to get to but thats why its not so packed. like! 👍

I usually shop at Sephora and tried this Ulta location for the first time a couple weeks ago. The girl was super rude I asked if they had any promos and she said we never have sales… OK you would think if I spent over $500 on high-end make up and be some sort of gift with purchase or rewards program that I would be offered nothing she seemed annoyed that I was there. Back to Sephora it is.

Staff was very helpful and even recommended a different store for a better selection of what we were looking for.

If I could rate them a zero I would! My best friend and I went to the Rocklin ulta a few days ago and after 5 minutes we had a older lady with long white hair following my friend who is African American. She trailed her the entire time never even looking at me! All this old lady did was follow my girl around so creepily never saying one word! We have never been so uncomfortable with racial profiling like this! I will never take my business to ulta ever again! These people were so rude and didn’t care when I asked why they were following her n not me. They rolled there eyes and literally laughed at my girl who was concerned why she was being followed for the color of her skin... Please people don’t go to this racist store! I spend hundreds every month there and just I’m so disgusted they ever got any of my money. Watch the for the cruel old lady with white hair she’s probably a Trump supporter!

Brook helped me at the Ulta today. She was extremely helpful and introduced me to a new line of makeup. Customer service was top notch!

After having several awful experiences at the horrible ULTA near the galleria mall. I decided NOT to return to ULTA. However, I needed to return some items that I received via the mail. From the moment I walked in the Rocklin store, I was greeted with the warmest and most pleasant smile by Stacy. She processed my return and introduced me to a new line of quality cosmetics. She was extremely patient, not in a rush. Stacy made my shopping experience an extremely pleasant one. I will most definitely be returning to this ULTA. If you havent experienced having Stacy as your personal beauty consultant, you are in for a treat. She was excellent, she represents ULTA in a very good light.

You would not believe the number of girls in here. Its all girls! Over there...girl. Over the other way...girl. Its like some kinda club or something for chicks. Its like antelope and watering holes in africa in here. Side note, dont bring a lunch. They take it weird. I dont know what the big deal is. I been here all day. Im hungry woman and theres no sandwiches. I thought it was good planning.

The employees I spoke with did not have adequate knowledge of their products. Were unwilling to find a sunscreen in store that had titanium and zinc. Did not know the difference between a self tanner vs a browning lotion. As I purchased what I needed and walked back to get my friend, we saw a child waiting for his mother as she was getting her makeup done. As he was waiting, he wiped many of the cotton sample applicators on his face and then put them back in their containers. No one did anything, replaced them, or told the kid to stop. Disgusting and unsanitary.

The friendliest and most helpful staff compared to Roseville Ulta. The layout is nicer and the parking is much better at this location as well.

Spent about 300.00 today. Jeffree star brushes .....new pallets etc..the line in Roseville out the door...go to the Rocklin store its great not crowded no long lines

They had registere issues but it was ok I really like this store I just wish prices were a little lower. I get a gift card from my sister every year and i go there to get my hair mask, it works great on my hair.

I honestly dont know what to say... I was helped by an older lady with blonde hair for whom I forgot their name. It was honestly great service at first, hooked me up with some good samples and killer products, thought she was real sweet. She goes to make me an appointment for a *skin consultation* and I specify that I get off work at 5pm, so it would have to be later. She keeps saying that anytime is fine so I pitch for 6pm on Thursday, I watch her write in her book those exact dates and Im off my merry way. Come Thursday at 6pm I arrive and am told by one of her coworkers that she was leaving for the day, getting awfully rude and weird looks from the people at the counter. Keep in mind I didnt have any makeup on, assuming that I would be consulted for my skin, already self concious by my acne. I approach the older lady that I made the appointment with up at the counter, then she proceeds to act like I didnt exsist, and when I start talking, proceeds to act like she doesnt remeber me. While I try to explain she continues to give me rude looks saying oh honey you mustve meant a different day and Im leaving so were going to have to reschedule. She puts me down on her books again, but if you think Im going to return after what happened, you are surely mistaken. Completely embarassing and a waste of time. Will not return again.

Great place to get Halloween fabrics and decorations but wait until about a week before Halloween for the decorations because the prices are cut in half. If you can wait that long that is.

Better than some ulta locations, but the staff often forget to throw in the gift with purchase items.

Probably the worst Ulta in the area, which isnt saying much. The staff cant be bothered to offer assistance or act like they care once you do ask for help. Had a girl match me terribly for foundation so I asked someone else after realizing how bad it was and what she picked out for me wasnt much better (didnt realize until I left). The girl at the brow bar butchered my sisters eyebrows and filled them in terribly.

They no longer give out promo products with purchase of high end brands. That was why I chose ulta over sephora. I have found products that I continue to buy and use daily from the freebies ulta used to give. Now I just signed up for sephora play instead so I can try other high end products without spending so much.

Worst experience I ever had with hair color. The colorist fried my blonde hair. I had to cut most of it off. Beware.
