Clean and well lit. Good COVID 19 protocols. Sales staff was friendly and knowledgeable but the initial meeting felt a little rushed and they didnt offer to take us out to physically look at any cars. We only looked at the cars on a computer screen based on our filters. On one hand it was not high pressure, but on the other you expect a little discussion. Or at least to be taken to look at cars you might not have considered.

DO NOT BUY A CAR HERE! They sold me a car they definitely never inspected. How do you sell someone a car with a cracked and leaking battery!? On top of that, so much is wrong with the car. Ive had it 4 days and the check engine light is on. Horrible horrible horrible! If I get sick from the fumes from the leaking battery Im 100% filing lawsuits until this company no longer exists.

Our sales consultant Harsha was amazing. It was the best car buying experience I’ve ever had. He was very thorough, very fast, took time to inform me of every step that was taken, ensured we were cognizant of the time it would take to finish each step in the car buying process just so we were aware of when we could get dinner. Consultants like this don’t come around often. I hope one day he becomes a Sales Manager to train new and upcoming representatives on how to focus on the customer to make the car buying experience better than the average today.

I decided to buy another car at CarMax as I have had good experiences there in the past. This time we have hit some obstacles. First off, this is not the quickest way to buy a car. Ive dealt with dealerships that I am in and out in an hour and this took about 5 hours to finish my purchase. One reason I decided to buy a car from CarMax was that they usually take great care of their cars. Im having issues with mine. At first everything looked great. Then on my ride home from the dealership my flat tire warning light came on and wont go off. Checked the tires, took it back to CarMax and they did a once over tried to release some tire pressure, and it is still on. So I called to make an appointment with their service department and while waiting other issues have popped up with the electrical. Im not too worried about it as I bought the warranty, but If I had not, Im not sure I would be very happy. Id still recommend using CarMax.

Outstanding way to buy a nearly new car and sell your current car! No hassle professional process. The web based vehicle viewer and tracker makes shopping very easy and no reason to go to the dealer until the vehicle you want meets your search criteria. Then you can reserve it and go take a look/drive. Only decision after choosing a car is financing and including an extended warranty. CarMax makes it very simple and straightforward. We have used them twice back to back. Word of waning: on high volume days, you may have to wait some time for your turn to execute the actual signing process since that can be a bottleneck.

I was very happy with this purchase. The only thing I wish I would have done better was check the tires more efficiently. I found a nail in one of the tires. My tire shop said I have less than 4000 miles of tire life left on these. They where 2018 tires. I should have looked closer. I’ll be putting on new tires this week. $1350.00.

Absolutely love CarMax! First time customer and I cant say enough nice things about it. Absolutely no hassles or haggling.So there is a bit of a process. You can check out the inventory on line. Fill out paperwork online, including financing if you want. Then someone will call you and walk you through the detail and tell you how to upload the documents that they need (which is quite easy).Then you go to the lot. Once there you sit down with a customer service representative (NOT A SALESPERSON) and go over a few more details. Then you take the car home for a 24 HOUR TEST DRIVE. If you like the car, and we did, you drive back the next day and buy it. The whole buying process takes less than 2 hours. If you dont like the car you just drop it off.I will never buy a car on a traditional lot again. The price was completely fair and the process was so easy that I left feeling like we had gotten away with something.

The offer was fair. The wait was terrible. It took 3 hours of waiting just to sell my car. It takes the business office maybe 5 min to verify the payoff, another 5-10 min to process and print the paperwork. I watched people walk in, pick a car out, go through picking out their financing and signing paperwork while I was waiting. This is truly a poor experience and Carmax has changed their processes to not respect the customers time on appraisals.

Never has it been easier or more fun to purchase a car! I an unable to walk around several different car lots to find just the right car. But I did it all online and CarMax found the perfect one! They were extremely friendly and fast. Truly knowledgeable and just plane nice people! They even shipped the car from another lot way out of town to one near me. All I had to do was go pick it up! Showed up at the lot on a Monday afternoon and was told there would be a 45 minute wait as we didn’t have an appointment and they weren’t taking any. Came back that evening and was told the wait was an hour. Waited an hour an a half for a warm body to sit in the passenger seat so that we could drive around the block but CM could not produce such an individual. Car we wanted was on the lot and the money was readily available. Guessing this wasn’t the only sale you lost today CarMax.

Have good selection, but not cheap. Had set up express check out with apt. that ended up taking almost 3 hours. Given $75 in GOODWILL coupons, that are useful IF you use CarMax service when I live 85 miles away! Had a $160 bill to fix windshield wipers that were apparently put on incorrectly.

My beat friend got his new truck here and he was very satisfied. CarMax are just great customer service. I feel like CarMax has better knowledge selling used cars.My brother bought a used car from this dealership call Crown Motor. They did a horrible job of cleaning the car. You can tell the car was used! Me and my friend when we looked at the truck he wanted at CarMax it felt like it was brand new. CarMax does a really good job making the car look and drive like new.I bought a used dodge truck at a Chevy dealership. About two weeks later it had issues. I return it to the dealership and the mechanic people refuse to touch the dodge truck cause its not Chevy. So I do highly recommend you get your used car at CarMax. Any problems you have they will help you. Its just a great dealership. They have more used cars to offer then other dealerships.

Horrible horrible experience never deal with these people Had a car ship there ( wast of $200) didnt hear from them for weeks couldnt get ahold of anybody except the call center on the phone then went in there was treated like a second class citizen ended up just going and buying brand new. They didnt even bother to wash the car before I came to see it, If there were cobwebs inside the lady had a horrible attitude and acted as if she was doing me a favor.

Carmax is great place to find a good quality car. My wife and I met with Carmax rep (Chris Padilla) who was very curtious, helpful and answered all our questions. We test drove a car and found things we liked and disliked.. Chris recommended another type of car for what we were looking for and he found one for us. Ship process from Oregon very good. Once arrived, fine to get test drive done. Then things fell down. It took almost 3 hrs to get into the office to sign even though I was paying cash..and I had to poke my head in and get someones attention...this is after seeing several people escorted in ahead of me. After waiting 9 days to pickup our vehicle it wasnt ready. We were pre-qualified 3 weeks in advance. We had to re-apply. It took over 3 hours to complete the sale. The vehicle was not clean. The operation of the vehicle was not explained to us. We had friend tell us about DEF, which was almost empty. We returned two days later and waited 4 hours for the vehicle to be correctly service. The only thing that was done was a new air filter. I had to take the truck to be detailed. I was reimbursed. Now a service needs to be done which I would never return to the service department. I was told I will be reimbursed, well see if that happens.

Very Friendly staff! Left us alone. Just came from a car dealership. What a stark comparison. We sold our car to CarMax. Got a great price. Unfortunately it was after 5 and we could not contact our lender to verify pay off. Had to come back. Took almost two hours to get paperwork processed and signed tho. Still a wonderful experience. Highly recommend if you have a decent vehicle to sell or trade. I will be back.

I’m still waiting on them to finish a missed check they missed to endorse. I can’t get ahold of them. I even went in to the local store to fix this issue. They put my info on a post it not. I’m not impressed with the Business department.

I came in to sell my Land Rover Discovery, got an initial appraisal online and the CarMax facility was able to match the appraisal to the dollar after a full inspection and i was able to sell my car within a day. I had online offer. But my car still needed to be inspected. They took 45 mins for this process. I got here 5:30 pm. 6:30pm they tell me I have to come back next day because Toyota financial closed. So I thought. Came back next day at 4:20pm. They told me they were backed up. Leave the papers and come back by 8pm. I said you need to hurry because Toyota finance close at 6pm. To which he replied they have 24 hour access online so don’t worry about it. WHAT!!!? Why they couldn’t do it yesterday???

The staff were amazing. Let me state that right out of the gate. Every staff member wanted to make things happen, but heres how the experience went.I showed up at 15 minutes early with a cashiers check and all information needed from my bank to complete the loan (which has been since switched to my bank). I sat around until 10:00pm at night. Spending ~5 hours sitting around because allegedly their computers werent working and things had to be manually situated.Maybe that was the case, but when I came back the next week to swap loans for something better from my bank, I saw people sitting around dealing with long wait timesAssuming its a computer issue, then I apologize, but if its not, then hire more people in the loan department and upgrade their technology. If youre pumping out 30-50 cars a day, you can afford to equip your people.Also, I have to go back because my AC is blowing hot. I have to wonder if they ever did the mandatory pressure test and look for leaks. I may need to take my car into a shop and have it gone through to be sure they didnt miss something.If the staff werent good, Id say 3 stars, but theyre alright. If wait time is your issue too, then it deserves 3 stars.Bring water and a lunch if youre serious. Else youll be eating from a vending machine.

Lackluster customer service and an overall poor experience. I would probably still recommend selling a car to CarMax but I would advise people doing so to be prepared to receive some of the sloppiest customer service imaginable and to be prepared to walk away feeling like a large portion of their day had been wasted through process inefficiencies and a general lack of care from sales staff.

Filled out the online form to save time (he said about 20 minutes, cool!), after their appraisal, they gave us what was presented in the email. He asked us if we wanted to sell the vehicle or wait, we opted to sell that day. He said to go to the cashier and theyll get us all set up. wait, wait wait in line to be told they need to do their appraisal and it will be 45 minutes, up to 3 hours. Wait what? We just got the appraisal done. They said they needed the mechanic to sign off. Look at the paperwork, he signed off. No they need to do their own appraisal? So what should have been a simple, well take your offer turns into a 4 hour deal. Maybe if you had more employees helping sellers, youd buy more vehicles. That was the first and last time I sell, or maybe even buy since the sells experience was horrible.

Salesperson was great, we were greeted immediately and Monty helped us a ton. First hour we were there all needs were meet. We had cash in hand (no delay in financing). We traded in an older got fair value. Only good experience was the sales person. Start to finish…. My wife and I were there 6.5 hours!!!! “We’re really busy”, “your name is in the que”, My wife and I purchased in the past took us 3 hours, I fully expected that even with cash in hand …. But almost 7 hours this time?! Something has to change.

This is my 3rd-4th purchase from Carmax. Usually its a very smooth process however this round was the worst. Ive had to purchase 2 different cars this round due to mechanical problems. The staff never was on the same page when it came to processes. Ive spent more time in loaner than the new car. Im very very disappointed.

I bought a car 10/1/2021 and on 10/2/2021 my car was having issues. It was turning off at red lights, cranking forever when turning on, the check engine light also on. I took it back to Carmax immediately on 10/2 and they told me their next available appointment is 8 days away to get my car looked at… i have been having to Uber to work this whole time while i wait for my appointment. My appointment date finally comes and my car has been in the shop going on 4 days now. It should’ve only taken one day in the shop but they told me they ordered the wrong part ….TWICE. It wasn’t until i mentioned if they had any rental cars that they gave that to me as an option. The 30 day money back guarantee is dumb because I’ve had my car for 2 weeks now and haven’t been able to drive it once.. they only reason i am giving 2 stars instead of 1 star is because Jeff in the service department has been doing a good job of helping me get this sorted out. Carmax could care less if i had a running vehicle let alone a ride so i can go to work.

99% of my CarMax experience was stellar. I found I car I love at a reasonable price with no haggling and a 90 day warranty and even 30 days to bring it back if I didnt like it. I arranged for home delivery as I didnt have a car at the time. Everyone at every step in the process was friendly, courteous, and professional.The one unfortunate glitch was some confusion around how I was supposed to pay the deposit. A concierge told me to have a cashiers check ready. (I did.) The delivery team showed up and said, Oh, we dont do that anymore. You had to do it online before we arrived. Long story short, a lot of phone calls with my bank, CarMax, and then two weeks later getting threatened with collections for something I thought had been handled really soured what had been a wonderful experience otherwise.We got it ironed out and I would still recommend them and shop there again, but next time I would just go in to the store for the transaction.

Just spent another hour on hold waiting for this store to answer. I just need to cancel my extended warranty but no one ever answers. Have talked with 6 other Carmax employees over 4 hours of talking/on hold, hoping they could get me into the finance department, to no avail. My only other option is to take a day off work to sit in their office and demand help!

I loved the convenience of walking in and knowing I dont have to deal with the going back/forth with the dealer. Then the vehicle I really wanted wasnt available because someone was holding it, but never went to drive it. I asked it they could make it available and they did. I got the car I really wanted. The worse part of the whole transaction was the waiting. The dealership was so busy and one of the busiest, but the staff available to complete the process was back logged. I feel that if the dealership knows how busy they get and the staff they need to complete the process in a timely matter, they should have more people hired to handle it. It took longer to just wait for someone that the process of finding the car and talking to the dealer.

So I gave them a pretty decent review a few months ago. I bought this car June 30, 2021, and already have had to take it in to get the brakes fixed and then again because the car was rumbling. They needed to rotate the tires (honestly, I probably need new ones) and all of this was before September 2021. My husband took it to get an oil change today and there was no steering fluid in it and the coolant was dirty. I am also sure that I need new shocks, but the last time I brought it in and mentioned it, they didnt do anything. I just want to make sure I document this in case anyone else is having a problem with their car. It really doesnt seem like they check and fix things before they sell it. And their warranty is useless if things dont actually get fixed.

Even though I ran my VIN and info through their online system to sell my car to them 3 times, I never got an offer on my car - only an estimate. I always got a message that I had to go in for an appraisal. After driving 2 hrs to the nearest store to get their offer, the offer ended up being over $5,000 lower than their estimate. The sales guy said I must have done it wrong. Noooo, I ran it through Kelley BB instant cash offer, Vroom, Truecar, Edmunds and Carvana. I know what I’m doing. I entered all my info correctly, the vehicle is new with low miles and in excellent condition. No dings, no damage, no scratches, no stains, no nothing. Which means they gave me the worlds worst estimate and makes me think they are being deceitful to get you in the store. Whats the point of doing an online offer (or estimate in my case) if its not even close? Feels like a bait and switch and was a waste of our time. It was my first experience with CarMax and since they’re not trustworthy, also our last. Carvana was accurate and honest, quick and easy.

We were pleasantly surprised at how easy the process was, we had an appointment ahead of time and we were expecting it to take a while and it did but we were prepared so not a big deal. We went to lunch while waiting. They were helping us within 5 minutes of our arrival time, the first person asked questions and just looked over the vehicle, then a secondary person came out and took detailed pictures and inspected the vehicle. About 20 minutes later we received was higher than the K site and the other C site also larger than 2 separate dealers offering cash or trade in. Once we accepted they did a test drive and a check and nothing changed in the offer and they cut us a check and we left. Very pleasant and surprisingly a very decent offer especially not having to deal with listing it and dealing with calls and emails and showings. Thank you CarMax.

I used their website to peruse their inventory. Then I test drove the other models in comparison. Then they offered a 24 hour take it home and think about it option...for free. I still kept looking then brought it back to buy it...but took one more look on the lot and found THE ONE. The price was amazing. I bought it...and they said you have 30 days to absolutely love it or return it for a full refund. I have not found a better car or a better price. It was a pristine clean one owner with all the bells and whistles. Very happy 😊. Mercedes Benz dealer knew what I wanted and how much I was willing to pay...didnt have time for me, never called me . Bought exactly what I wanted here for a better than expected price. All my sales people were very professional and very busy. I came on a Sunday afternoon so I was expecting it to be busier than normal it took about 3 hours total so be ready to wait but other than that, no complaints. I would definitely recommend selling to CarMax they handle everything efficiently and they contact you right away after each inspection.

So I bought my car in June 2021 and had a great experience at the location. I called today August 6th because I got a flat tire. The car I bought from this location had just had 4 brand new tires put in. I have a nail in my tire and needed it repaired. The service guy said they don’t do that. I went to a shop the tired needed to be replaced due to where the nail is. I found out I had no warranty on a brand new tire. I am very disappointed that after 2 months I have to buy a brand new tire.

Zero stars. I would not recommend buying from them. Our experience has been a long and frustrating one to say the least. Carmax wasted an incredible amount of my time. Nothing we experienced with them was smooth. We paid to have a vehicle transferred to our store, 2 weeks later we got to test drive. Immediately after the test drive as I was stepping out of the car I told them we wanted to go through with the purchasing. We waited around for hours to get our trade in vehicle inspected. That never happened. When we called back in the morning to continue with the purchase they told me the vehicle we test drove the day before was sold and gone. We spent weeks on their website looking for another vehicle we liked, we found one and paid to have it transferred. We waited another 2 weeks. By this time we are just wanting this whole experience to be over.We set up to have the home delivery option because the store is not exactly close to where we live. We signed all the documents electronically the night before and made time in our busy schedule to receive this vehicle. Then, an hour before drop off they asked for our down payment through their epay system. Well we found out that were not able to give our down payment due to our bank not being listed on their list of e payment banks and they would not take the payment any other way. That conversation ended with “we cannot deliver your vehicle sorry.”We ended up dragging our young family to this store to pick up our vehicle. We had to wait around for another hour to resign papers. Why we had to sit through that all over again I don’t know. We finally got to take our car home. Fast forward 3 days and we find out that one of the tires is bad and is not up to legal standards and our outside financing let us know that they are still waiting for a document from Carmax. I said I would reach out to them to help move this along. I have yet to get a hold of someone from the business office now 6 days after purchasing. I have sat on hold numerous times over the past week sometimes as long as 40 mins. Their automated phone system and way of transferring customers to different departments is terrible. I ended up going in circles with them every time I called. I will be speaking to a manager because it looks like I have no choice but to go in again. I DO NOT recommend Carmax

One should expect to wait all day for car prep and paperwork; far longer than any dealership. Do expect any assistance or guidance regarding the breakfast or lunch you miss while waiting for your set appointment. I paid for a vehicle transfer made an appointment and waited nearly 2 hours after my appointment before being called only to find the vehicle was blocked i, uncharged and needed to be preped. The certified auto I bought said 90 to 110 miles on a charge but really it was 65 to 70 miles per charge. I have never been treated so poorly, I will beg people I like to go elsewhere.

The experience with the sales team was fantastic. Unfortunately the car I wanted to buy was still in need of moderate repair. They put the car on the lot with issues with the obvious suspension and motor mounts problems then 3 days after the purchase a check engine light came on. And 2 weeks later they still have my car and it is not yet fixed. The used car inspection before putting on the lot is severely lacking.Edit 5-24-21. Service Manager Lisa has taken over charge of repairs. Even expedited the repair of my car. gave me a free rental car. Once she was made aware of the problem. Took charge and is trying to make thing right.

I financed a Chevy Traverse from this location almost 6 months ago. I have has to put air in my tires multiple times since getting the car but at first didnt think much off it. Until recently it was becoming a major issue. I took my car in to a shop close to home the other day just to see what needed to be done and was told the tires are over 8 years old and falling apart so I will need all new tires and an alignment done. Not to mention the fact that I have been driving my 3 children around in a car that was unsafe. When I called carmax to see what they could do I was told there was nothing they could do, sorry have a good day. I am extremely disappointed with this experience and now would not recommend carmax to anyone. I now have a car that I have not even had 6 months just sitting in my drive way. Very upset about this.

I sold my recent model Prius to CarMax and was amazed how easy it was. I submitted a request for an offer on line and the offer and followup were great! I took my car in the next day for their inspection and got the check a few hours later. Their staff were professional and very pleasant. Quite a wonderful surprise how nice the whole process was.
