Let me just say.....the building may not be much to look at but the work was above reproach! They were helpful and I loved the ease of dropping off, reviewing the work, and the check out process. The price was unbeatable. Obviously, I have been overpaying for brakes in the past. I will be back!

This place and the employees were AMAZING. They went above and beyond to help me. Ive been in a tough spot since my Dad died and a lot of my car issues have been put off. Dustin and Dan at Brake Service totally saved me. They were friendly and helpful and extremely knowledgeable. I was in a financial bind and Dustin worked extremely hard to help me, winding up saving me over a hundred dollars on a brake jib, with great tips on how to save a ton on brake repair in the future. These 2 guys totally made my day, actually my week. I was more than impressed, I was downright emotional at the care and effort these 2 men showed, getting me back on the road quickly and confidently at a cost that I could afford. I don’t know brakes but they do. They knew that changing my fluid wasn’t going to fix my problem because they tried (and weren’t able to) get the parts needed to fix it. They recommended changing to fluid to see if it works (again, they knew it wouldn’t). I asked how the brakes were responding after the change and he said “tight”. Whatever that meant he intended it as a positive. Once I tried it was obvious nothing changed. I left with the same problems I came in with. Real loss of braking action.It’s ironic know to think that this was an issue they flagged as “red” something that must be corrected at this visit. But I left in the same condition, just 100$ lighter.Never again.

Finally a shop that can do my alignments!They did a great job on my Fake Taxi! They were able to work with me and understood the needs I had for my custom settings. The staff was nice, friendly and knowledgeable.

These guys were awesome and HONEST. Cost exactly as estimated and were not pushing other items to have done like many other brake shops. I went to break check today to get my breaks/ rotors checked out. They had on file that I had been there less than a year ago for same thing. No service was done and no other customers there but still took them from 7:35am-8:17am just to tell me what’s wrong with my car. Then he misquoted me and just seemed so lost. I literally asked for a copy of the estimate and he forgot that quick. This made me realize I shouldn’t get my car “fixed” here again especially considering it’s been last than 1 year and I’m having same issues mind you it’s covid so I haven’t really had to use me car since I work from home it just made no sense. I decided to get a second opinion with a nicer place up the street. It cost more at the second place but I felt better because not only did it go by quicker to diagnose what’s wrong but the explanation was so much better and the reviews are better and this place had so many people already there but again it was a much better experience. Will never go here again.

We scheduled an appointment for 1pm, our vehicle wasn’t serviced until after 2pm. What was the point of making an appointment if we were going to wait longer than people who came in after us? When paying for services we were advised cost would be almost double of what we were quoted. It may not have been an issue, but the 10% discount was not applied to what is listed and the young man reverted the estimate to list labor under another part. We paid for all brand new parts and were still charged for hardware and parts! Two separate charges for one thing that is already included with new parts. I’m amazed at how this company double dips and dips again when servicing our community! I purchase vehicles to assist single mothers. Never again will we utilize this place!

Love this place! They took us in on the day of and we even arrived at the wrong location, over 1 hour late and still with open arms, took us in with a smile and not only did break pads, But rotors within an hour and a half. Pads are lifetime guarantee and you only pay $45 to change them out when youre ready!! Definitely coming back! Thank you 😊

Service was performed in a timely manner. New brake pads front and rear. New rotors on rear. I got there as they were opening early Saturday morning and three hours later they were done. They were polite and professional about their work.

I had a great experience with Tyrell and Dan. They were very polite and courteous and showed me what they would have to do fix my car. The quote was fast, they answered all my questions and the repair was fast also. They even had the part I needed!My only con was the price. It wasn’t horrible but wasn’t flexible either. On the plus side- I was presented a quote prior to the work and the price was the same! No surprises!All in all- I feel like it was fixed well by specialist and I am able to safely drive my vehicle now.

Brake Check replaced my brakes about a year ago and recently my truck started making a loud clunking noise when I turned left. I took my truck back to Brake Check and the determined it was an issue with the bearings. They replaced the part quickly and without any charge.

I booked a free inspection because I was noticing an excessive travel of my brake pedal. The staff was very friendly and informative. They carefully inspected my cars breaking system and gave me a quote for the parts they recommended to be changed, as well as the level of urgency for each one, so I could decide. Nothing more than it was actually needed.I would definitely recommend getting your brakes serviced at this location. Take your time though, since it seems they are short handed.

I love this place!!! Everyone is extremely helpful and knowledgeable about almost all things pertaining to cars. They are trustworthy, most shops will charge an arm and a leg, just because you dont know any better, but brake check will always be fair.There is one gentleman in particular who has gone above and beyond to make sure that every question I have is answered no matter how silly it may be.

I took my car to get free brake inspection since after few days of driving it i noticed it shuddering when it brakes. I called a few different automotive shops that also offer free brake inspections but no one was able to get me in same day, even though it was early morning. I could only do it that day since I worked rest of the week. I called brake check and they said they could fit me in same day! I was very happy about that! It took 30 minutes to get my brakes inspected! They checked the braking system and then brought me back to show me what they had found, to give a visual of what they are talking about. I appreciated that and the fact that he didn’t talk down to me! He then explained what needed to be done and showed me the pricing list for everything and why it cost what it cost. I went ahead and had it done and it took an hour! Much more quickly than I expected. Also it wasn’t crazy expensive like I would be paying had I gone to another shop! I’m glad I went here. Took little less than two hours for them to inspect and fix my brakes! Very quick! I will definitely recommend this place to anyone who needs their brakes inspected to fixed! No upselling or beating around the bush! Straight and to the point, exactly how business should be done. My car now drives and brakes like brand new!! No more shuddering or crazy vibrating 👍

Then who answered the phone was very professional and very helpful I told him my situation how the car was shaking when your break and he said to me it sounds like you will need your rotors replaced ensure enough he knew what he was talking about took the vehicle and they switched out the rotors And brakes. This took care of the situation the car stop shaking running like brand new again. So I would say I got great service from Dan and the mechanic working with him in the back. I promised that I would leave a review to appropriately reflect the company and the employees. Not just because I connected with the employees on a personal level but because I love the open bar policy and the high level of customer satisfaction. This is important to me because I’ve been wronged in the past. They simply do the job right and they’re cheap!!I bring all my cars here and have recently convinced my employer likewise.

My brakes were soft so I took it in on a Sunday. They called that afternoon with the diagnosis - no up selling - just a simple brake line. I had a check engine light on and they knew I had an appointment with a $3500 estimate I had to get it to the shop for on Wednesday. They diagnosed that problem (without a diagnostic fee) and said they found the problem and could fix it for $400. I was skeptical at first but told them to give it a shot. They fixed the engine trouble and got that damn check engine light off for the quoted $400. I will take all of my engine work there in the future.

Technicians were understaffed, did the best they could. However they did not bleed the brakes after putting on the bew caliber, so when I got home there was a huge puddle of brake fluid on the driveway. The new pads are squeeking and leaving an excessive amount of brake dust. I brought to the local dealership to have everything checked over, after 3 trips to brake check to have everything inspected again. Local dealership said brake check had stripped out the hex bolts in the calipers. Would not recommend for heavy duty trucks Great service though.

Got me in right away on super short notice and tried all options before having to do the pricier option. Super friendly and easy to talk to. Explained everything very well so I understood exactly what was going on.

They were very professional, nothing was wrong with my vehicle and they told me upfront that the brake pads were in great condition. They did not try and scam me out of my money like other places in the past. I had a great experience with them.

Never had problems here in the past. This last time I went in though, the guys were out out in the garage working and for at least 20 minutes nobody even bothered to look toward the lobby. I even had an appointment booked and everything and nothing. I just ended up leaving.

Went into brake check daniel checked my vehicle was quick about it came back with an estimate $500.00 to fix front rotters and front breaks. Thank YOU LORD. from a good friend with a horses mouth he knows a great! Mechanic that came out to my home, he can come out to your home also. He didnt charge me $500.00 he charged me half of that. I went to this location, because it was near my house and the service was great!! Chris L. explained to me and showed me what was wrong and explained it in a way I could understand. They did my oil change fast and then after the brake estimate changed some rotors, smoothed out some rotors and changed all the pads. They got it all done on a Saturday very efficiently. Chris also listened to me and answered all my questions. I give this brake check an s A +++! Also he helped me set up a 6 month payment plan with no interest very fast. I’m grateful I can safely drive to work now :). .... I really feel taken advantage of and will never go back to Brake Check again. After spending over $400 to get my brakes fully serviced they started squealing again after only two months. I went back for them to check the problem and they told me i needed to spend another $150 to replace the rear rotors which I had already paid for. It was ridiculous but It was a stressful day and I needed the problem fixed ASAP so I agreed and I really regret it. The whole process took 2.5 hours. Don’t let them do this to you. Cautionary tale.

Thomas and the rest of the crew were very helpful and professional when i brought my truck in for an oil change. I unfortunately had a stripped oil pan threading. Thomas went out of his way to get me a plug that could be used without having to replace the whole oil pan. This isnt the first time weve received outstanding customer service from them.

Drove 1300 miles one way for a 5 day trip during the recent storm Uri and ended up with a warped brake rotor. I drove around looking for shops that were open and found Brake Check Store 411 to be the only shop open just before the second weather front was to hit in a few hours. Chris L got me in and gave me all my options. With rebuilt calipers, new rotors and brake pads, I made back home safely. The new brakes performed flawlessly. I was a bit picky about the parking brake adjustment but Chris and his team took care of that as well. Thanks for your professionalism guys!

I do not recommend this place at all. I dropped my car off to get the brake pads changed at 1220. I was told they needed a couple hours. I thought it was slow because I can do the pads myself in 2 hours,but whatever. I come back and hour and a half later and they had only finished looking at the brakes. They say they needed another 2 hours. I gave it to them and had them resurface the rotors as well. Again I come back 2 hours later and the hasnt been touched. Im pretty sure they didnt start working on it until they saw me and then the mechanic stops to talk to a friend that pulls up outside. I ended up leaving at 530.

Im thankful for them repairing my car same day and providing me options on repairing or replacing my rotors, the difference in cost, and the pros and cons of each option. The person I also specified which break pads had a limited warranty and ones that had a lifetime warranty.Not sure if it was a special or not, but they knocked $$$ off the total price. Either way I appreciated it!

I called a week ahead of time to get an estimate on the cost to replace the rear brake shoes on my Honda CR-V and was quoted 79.95 but only after they wanted to add numerous other services which I declined. I schedule an online appointment and when I arrive and ask to verify the amount I was told I could receive an estimate until my Honda was “checked in.” I waited for about 20 minutes which was reasonable and the technician walked me through everything that “needed” to be done on my vehicle. This included a right front rotor (glazing), fluid flush, two new drums, & new shoes. The only problem is I just flushed the fluid, replaced the rotors, and pads. So again I asked how much for just a rear shoe change and was quoted 109.00 with tax. I explained I had been quoted 79.00 a week earlier but that didn’t matter. Just so you know I bought the shoes for 25.99. If they had of just been up front about the price I could have saved the technician and myself a lot of time. Felt bad for him doing all that work as it is not completely his fault but they way they are trained. Buyers beware!

If I could give this business a negative rating I would! My husband recently visited this business because our breaks we’re having issues. They took apart our entire break system and told us we needed new rotors, break pads and calibers which would cost $800! They told my husband the car was unsafe to drive and should be fixed right then and there. Our friend who works as a master mechanic at Firestone then told us to stop by his house to get them checked by him. He checked them thoroughly and found absolutely nothing wrong! He said the guys at break check even put our breaks back together incorrectly!!! The screws were loose on our breaks!!! I highly recommend not going here ever! These guys will cheat you and even put your lives in danger!!! Do not go here! They are liars, cheaters and will rob you!!!!

Got front and rear brake job. They were pretty honest, provided recommendations and choices. However, didn’t like being charged the shop fee. Other than that, satisfied thus far.

No attention to detail when dealing with my car. I was disappointed to find out that my wheel cap was missing after a brake job in the Round Rock Brake Check location. The people responsible for the job did not secure 3 of the caps correctly and when they test drove my vehicle after the repair, one was lost in the road.

Brake Check is my go to oil change place due to their 4th oil change is free deal. I’ve been using them for oil changes, brake service and tire alignment for 10+yrs. Their lifetime alignment option is also a great choice.

While they did get my car in and out very fast my car had smoke coming from under the hood by the time I had driven 10 miles. I presume that oil was spilled on the engine during the change. I will monitor it and follow up with them later
