I have some very thick (10-12 mm) leather weightlifting/powerlifting belts that got too big and needed some more holes added. After calling to confirm they could help, I headed in and got some great help and a free demonstration on the proper hole punching technique. They let me hammer away in the back of their store adding 8 new holes to my 2 belts. Afterwards I checked out their other tools and got a lot of help and tips about hole punching techniques, stamping, and tooling. I thought I was just going to punch some holes and be done but now Im inspired to maybe make my own belt someday! For now Im just going to customize the one I have with some stamps, and I picked up my own punching tools in case I ever need some more holes in my belts. :) Highly recommend Tandy Leather for all your leather modding or leather crafting needs.

This place is awesome, they have all types of leather related stuff and tools. The location is kinda hidden and kind of hard to find the first time. Very helpful staff members that make your shopping experience pleasant.

It is impossible to describe how helpful the staff is at this location! Also, the size of the place is impressive as are the options. Im rediscovering making leather items because of this store! One thing to note is the entrance looks like a fit to the rear of a warehouse! It is on the far left of the building.

Great experience.New to leather working and needed a lot of help. Austin Lyles was outstanding. Didn’t try to sell me anything I didn’t need. As a knife maker Austin was perfect - he’s a knife maker as well and knew exactly what I needed to make sheaths.Can’t recommend this store enough and if you need to talk to a fellow bladesmith then Austin is who you should ask for.

One of the employees at the store is extremely rude her lack of respect for other people is unbelievable.I had a Horrific experience do not recommend this place to any one.Customer service did a good jobtrying to patch up the relationship between me and the store.

Easy to miss from outside, but once you get inside its a little slice of heaven. Not a large store but a great selection and good prices. The staff are very helpful and friendly. If youre into leathercraft, this is a small piece of heaven on Earth. I could wander around in here for an hour. Worth the hour drive for me!

I went to this Tandy Leather store in Round Rock, Texas knowing what I wanted to make and what I needed it to do, but not exactly the materials and technique involved. When I arrived, I was enthusiastically greeted by Isaiah Maddock, the Assistant Store Manager.I told Isaiah what I needed to do and he took me to several parts of the store making suggestions and showing me different items without a hard sell - just a knowledge of the products that helped me tremendously with the two or three projects I needed to get materials for.I live near Waco, Texas about 75 miles from this store and I would rather drive the 150 mile round trip and deal with Isaiah and two ladies that I also spoke with (but unfortunately did not get their names), than to order online just for convenience.The sort of Customer Service and product knowledge that would make someone drive an extra 150 miles is something rare nowadays.

Fantastic store! I was double checking hours on TLFs page for the Cameron Road store when I saw this place. Called to confirm that they where open and had fantastic friendly service on the phone. The good doesnt stop there! In store the personnel where just as awesome, helping my find and suggest materials for my projects. The store is also at least twice the size of Cameron Road, well lit, well stocked, and well organized. Even if you are new to leather working, theyve got tons of kits and helpful direction to get you started.TL;DR, Bigger, brighter, friendly, fun!
