Needed a small bit of maintenance performed on my 2006 Yamaha Majesty. They did the work promptly and at a reasonable price. Where an independent shop like this really shines is in comparison to the service provided by local Yamaha dealers where a small repair can take weeks with your scooted parked at their shop waiting for parts to arrive. Blue Planet keeps your scooter off the road for a minimum amount of time and charges a very reasonable price.

Nice, but took bike in 3 times and carb still leaks. They Hooked up battery and now bike shuts down when turn signal is on. .

Five stars! Had a significant Vespa issue and couldn’t get it solved at another shop. These guys are fair and do great work. Brandon and Travis were very helpful and definitely earned our business for the years to come.

Fit me in for a quick oil change after the Vespa dealer said they would need my scooter for a week! Great conversation and fast service!Went back to get my 65 Vespa VBB sputtering issue figured out. The crimped and cleaned and adjusted and the thing runs better than it ever did before! The exhaust will be annoying the neighborhood quite a bit before winter comes. Braaap Braaaaap ding da ding ding!

I would like to start my review by saying that I dont trust mechanics in general. So, for me to Even step foot inside the shop was a big step. That being said, if you have a scooter or motorcycle that need a professional touch then you can definitely trust Travis and his team at blue planet. I dropped off 4 Yamaha scooters with a long list of repairs. The first thing I want to say is that the more specific you are with what needs to be done, the better result youll receive. If you want something done, say it. If you dont want something done, say you dont want it. Travis runs a good business and will do everything in his power to ensure that you have a positive customer experience. The last thing I would like to say is that over the past 5 years, I have had more bad experiences with mechanics than good. after my trip to blue planet, I feel like I am one for one with good experiences and plan on bringing my machines back if needed in the future. Can you trust this place? Yes. To what extent? To the extent that you can define what you need done and that The problem you have identified is actually the problem. Being a mechanic is not easy. There are definitely unforeseen problems. you need to understand that as a consumer. Travis and his team will do everything They need to do to get you on the road for the lowest cost possible. Very knowledgeable mechanics that are great at explaining the work that needs to be done. Fair prices, excellent work and customer service. Since I use my scooter as my main transportation they always make appointments where they can get the work done as quickly as possible.

Want to pay $500 to brake your scooter? Then bring it on down to blue planet scooters. Be prepared to be constantly lied to about what their working on and when your scooter is going to be done. They told me it would done it two weeks not 3 months. Its a scooter not a NASA space shuttle. Finally at the end of the 3 months when I got my bike back it ran worse then when I originally brought it in. This is by far the worst service I have ever received in my entire life. Do yourself, your bike and your wallet a favor and go to any other shop besides these guys because it will bring you nothing but misery and heartbreak. Your welcome. I hope my review was helpful.

This is a great shop. I have been in many times, I have witnessed the owner sit down with customers and in a simple to understand manner explain what needs to be done to their bike. Not very often do you see a owner in the shop working on bikes and up front helping customers. He truly cares, no matter if its a $.05 fuse or a $1000 rebuild he makes you feel important.

Ive used Blue Planet twice now, and each time I have been impressed by the customer service and repairs. The mechanic called me with each issue to explain what was needed and the cost associated with each repair. I would recommend them again! Very helpful and prices were reasonable.

Ive been on the hunt for a scooter and have checked out every shop in SLC. All were fine and had decent selection but blue planet stuck out. I didnt realize that werent a dealer; they just sell used ones along with fixing them. I bought a Stella there that was sold by someone else and the selling process was smooth. I had to put a down payment to test ride but thats understandable. Even though I technically bought the scooter from a person and not from the shop (I assume they get a commission for displaying it) the guys there were super helpful and made it clear that they were willing to help make sure Im happy with my purchase. Would highly recommend this shop!

I have my scooter in the shop at blue planet and am frustrated that I was told in early April I would have my work done in around 2 weeks. It has been 3 months and I was told that so far I have been billed for 3 hours of labor. An average of one hour per month doesnt feel like much is being accomplished. I brought my bike in because I thought I didnt have the time to work on it and I just wanted it to be ready to ride. By now I would have had the time for a complete rebuild. I dont appreciate being put off while they work on the bikes they want to work on. I was told multiple times that my bike was next in like to be fixed and we are hoping it will be done by the weekend Communication could improve as well. Its a neat little shop, but Im un impressed with my first experience.

These guys are really amazing people. The shop was closed, but the owner took the time to help me mount a tiller tire. It was no easy task with hand irons, but this guy went out of his way to help me and he would not take any money. My pay back is giving this guy a review. I would not hesitate to go or recommend this company! I think his name is Travis- cheers to you. Wish there were more businessmen like you!!!

Had the parts I was looking for.

I dont know about scooters, but I want to comment on the kindness of these folks. I found myself with car trouble a few weeks ago. It was a very hot evening, and even though the shop was already closed, they took the time to try to help me. When I ended up needing a tow truck, they turned on their A/C and let me wait inside their shop while they finished up in the garage. They even offered me a drink. I owe a big THANK YOU to these gentlemen--and based on their behavior, Id totally trust their services!

The man talked me out of buying a scooter?... But said if I do get one that they are able to make them faster with bore kits which is good to know.

I got a used, non-running scooter from a friend that was moving. They mentioned the scooter was purchased from Blue Planet and I am glad I checked them out. The Blue Planet team and new shop owner were very helpful and generous with advice. We started with a new battery and fuel filter. Then I replaced all the fluids and a new spark plug. Now the scooter is back on the road. They even had a replacement cable for the speedometer. Everything is working now and ready for a safety inspection. Thanks Blue Planet, for all your help. You have a faithful customer now.

We talked about a trade, but then he suggested that I just bring the cycle in and he would get it running again. He did an amazing job, saved me a lot of money, and got me on the road again. Blue Planet is under new ownership and by a Veteran. Prompt, quality work is now being performed. They not only specialize in scooters but will work on most motorcycles. I have had 2 MX bikes worked on now and will continue to take my toys there. Great service with a smile!

Ive heard nothing but good things about this place, that definitely was not my experience. I spent a lot of money, had to order some of the parts myself and bring them in, waited a year, and bike still doesnt run.

I have a 1998 Kawasaki KLR 650, long story...originally bought it in 2001, sold it in 2014 and regretted it ever since. I have owned a ton of bikes but for some reason this KLR was by far my favorite.....part of my sole. By some miracle I found the bike for sale not running and in rough condition. I tried fixing it and could not figure it out. I called the guys at Blue Planet and took it to them. What other repair shops had told me was a $600-$700 repair cost, Blue Planet Scooters charged me $250!!!! My bike has never run this well. Great guys, great price, honest and good at what they do. Thank so much for giving life back to my baby and putting a smile on my face every time the wind blows in my face!!

I had a flat on my scooter, and these guys had me in and out in a couple hours. The guy I talked to (didnt catch his name) offered to order a tire that was cheaper than what they had in stock at the moment, though I was pressed for time and wanted to get it back on the road today. I went with the more expensive tire, and they had it on in no time. The staff was really helpful and friendly and one of the mechanics offered me drinks while I waited. 10/10 will come back here to have my little chinese off-brand scooter fixed again.
