An amazing job! I called at 7am on a Saturday morning; Arthur the technician was here by noon and the repair was completed in less than an hour!!!

Called Saturday after and spoke to Jamal who was very pleasant, offered me a same day appointment from 5-7 since my garage was wide open. Called another company that was going to come out Sunday to cancel. Then Waited around until 8, called and an answering service person said she would look into where the tech was. I missed a birthday party waiting at home for someone who never showed. Called this morning and they guys says well, he’s the new guy he should have never made that appointment and basically I’m out of luck.

If I could leave zero stars I would.This company is completely unprofessional.I had a technician come out because my garage door was closing but as soon as it closed all the way it would open back up and it would take several times for it to stay closed.First, the technician arrived looking completely disheveled. He wasn’t wearing any company uniform and you couldn’t even tell he belonged to any company. He showed up in a dirty Tshirt, athletic shorts, shoes that weren’t even tied. Didn’t even introduce himself. Pulled the emergency cord to turn the power off to the garage door and then said he would need to do about $300 worth of service to the sensors to tell me what is wrong. When I said I would speak with my dad since it was his house that I was trying to help with he got angry and then had to text with his office and see how much I would be charged. He then said I would have to pay $35 for him coming out. I was totally okay with that and wanted to pay cash because I didn’t trust that this man was really with this company. He refused and said they can’t accept cash so he had to take my credit card. He took a picture of my card and then charged me. Then he told me his name was Jorge when I asked and then changed his name to George. After he left I had to try and figure out how to get my garage door back on the track and working with the remotes. When it wasn’t working I had sent the technician a text since he refused to accept my calls. I explained to him I did everything I was supposed to to get it working again. He ignored me.I called the home office, explained everything and they said they’d have to charge me another $35 for someone to come back and fix it since the technician said he didn’t touch anything (which is a complete lie, there were three people there watching him). She then went on to say it’s not really their problem.The technician finally called me back and was extremely rude. When I explained that he should have fixed it back before he left and not lied to the office, he said that I’m not royalty and I can fix it. When I then said I tried everything, I went to YouTube and google before even calling him back since he was useless in the first place and it’s still not working. He then said it’s not his problem and then went further and asked if I was dumb and said all I had to do was pull a f*****g string and then hung up. I called the office back and explained that as a veteran I would gladly support a veteran owned business, but never again would I support this one. The way the company allows their technicians to represent their business this way. Jamal supposedly took down everything I said and would forward it on but I highly doubt anything would come of this because looking at the reviews I am not holding my breath for the company to care that they’re losing business because of their technicians.

WOLF IN SHEEPS CLOTHING!! ALERT!After an hour of work the technician charged my 78 year old father over $400 for parts and labor to fix a broken spring on a garage door opener. I asked my father what the charge and was shocked. I waited to see what itemized invoice to justify such a charge. What we got was and invoice that said $35 for service call, and $400+ for spring repair package. I texted a request for a receipt that delineated the costs of labor and parts especially since this was equivalent to the cost of a new garage door opener. They refused and said it was not their policy. Additionally we were told the in our initial call that we would get an estimate prior to starting the work, which also didn’t happen. This felt to me that the technician and the company extorted money from my elderly father. SHAME ON THEM !!!

OGD came out and sold me a new garage door. I paid the $500 deposit and eagerly awaited my install date. They rescheduled the install multiple times, and when the tech finally came out to install it, they said they actually can’t install it because my driveway is too uneven. They shouldn’t have sold me one if that would be an issue. I have now been trying for a month to get my deposit refunded. I have left multiple messages with people at their office, and no one ever returns my calls. This is unprofessional, and I would not recommend this company. I waited awhile to post a review, but since they still won’t return my calls or refund my money, I am not waiting anymore.

I spoke to 2 different customer service reps (the ones that schedule the appointments). The first rep was terrible. He wouldnt let me finish a sentence as I was explaining the details of the issue(s) with my garage door. He assumed multiple things and jumped to conclusions (which were wrong) when all he had to do was listen. I eventually had to tell him to stop cutting me off and listen so we could communicate better and get the facts on the table. In short, he was borderline rude and seemed as if he was rushing me off the phone. The second rep had much better phone etiquette and the call was quick and easy. In short, the second rep was polite and efficient. The technician surprised me when he didnt have a mask (considering the times were in) or offer to where one, but I know thats a subjective topic so Ill leave that one alone. I just practiced proper social distancing. As for his work...it was not the best. He had worked on the same issue (with the previous owner of my house) before I called him to fix the issue again. The Issue That Needed Repair: The beam on which the motor and chain for my small garage door (3 car garage) is mounted has a bracket on the end of it that secures the beam to the wall. When doing a reverse contact test, the bracket and the 2 screws were pulled from the wall. This happened during the home inspection prior to my home purchase. The technician in question came to fix the issue, which he did by moving the bracket about an inch and a half to the left and adding a third screw. After I bought the house I eventually conducted the reverse contact test myself just for piece of mind and to see that the door was fixed with my own eyes. It wasnt. The bracket and screws were pulled from the wall again. I screwed the screws back in (one of which just kept turning) and I added a screw of my own (same diameter but longer) so now there are 4 screws in the bracket. That still didnt fix the problem because from what I could tell, none of the screws were contacting a wall stud. I called OGD, and they sent the same tech to my house. He was a nice guy and shared a lot of useful info about my garage doors and their components. However, when he fixed the door, he did the same thing...he moved the bracket over by about an inch. He also a programming adjustment to the motor. He clearly was not contacting a wall stud, and needless to say, since he was just screwing into drywall, I thought the same thing would happen again. However, he conducted the reverse contact test, and it was successful! OGD gives you a 30 day labor warranty so I told the technician Id do the reverse contact test once a week for the rest of the month (so 2 or 3 tests) just to be sure everything is still good and just in case anything goes wrong, itll be covered under the warranty. The following week when I did the same test he had done, the bracke a screw were pulled from the wall yet again! At that point it was like Groundhog Day. I call OGD, they send the same tech (which I made it a point to request), the tech shows up, etc. This last time was the last straw. The technician wanted to apply the same solution as the previous three times (just move the bracket by an inch and screw into the drywall some more) as if the results would be different. That is insane to me. I told him dont bother. I said if thats the only solution then never mind. I suggested a simple, effective and sturdy sution that I knew would fix the issue once and for all, but the technician said it wouldnt be up to code so he wouldnt be able to do it. We parted ways after that. In short, the technician OGD sent to fix my garage door seemed like nice guy who was knowledgeable about garage doors and components, but he failed to fix my relatively sime issue multiple times, leaving me to fix the issue myself. I fixed the issue myself, and Ive tested it almost ten times with absolutely no issues. I tried to be as objective and accurate as possible when recounting my experience with OGD. Hopefully this helps someone.

Jake Whipple came out to our home to check out the garage door. He was very straight forward, honest, and didnt try to over charge us! He repaired the garage in a timely manner and gave us a lot of advice on other things we could do ourselves. He was great! I highly recommend him, 11/10.

Getting my garage door fixed was seamless from the moment I called them until the repairs were done. Everyone was so polite and professional to work with. I loved the text updates and the technician they sent out definitely had our best needs in mind and wasn’t just trying to make a sale. Great company!

I scheduled an appointment and was given a time slot of 8-10. Technician showed up over 4 hours after the appt. time. Still was charged a $35 quote fee. Called around, every other place was able to give me a free quote over the phone and was at minimum $200 cheaper (and their quote included a military discount). I rarely leave bad reviews, but was super disappointed. They could have at least waived the fee if they werent going to be considerate of my time. When I asked the tech if they were really busy, his reply? No, not really.

He set an appointment the following morning and installed it. Arrived on time, did work In estimated time, answered all questions, charged us as quoted. Would happily work with him and company again

Our repair tech Jaime is always courteous and professional. He diagnosed the issues with our garage door, and fixed as much as he could until we get the cracked door replaced. We appreciate this company and will continue calling on them for services as needed.

Call for a replacement of a snapped torsion spring. The OGD Tech arrived ahead of schedule and, quickly, got to work. The job took a little more than half hour and went off without a hitch. Great job by a knowledgeable and friendly technician.

When I called to repair some garage door openers, I was amazed they offered service with a couple of hours. They kept me posted by text when they were running a little behind. The technician diagnosed the problem very quickly, and delivered replacement parts the next day. Very responsive, courteous and efficient.

Called for urgent repair in my garage door and I was able to get a technician out within a few hours. Steven was able to come early than the scheduled time. Emailed Overhead Door Company Sunday afternoon asking for maintenance service we wanted to set-up. Within the hour, a representative called and we had our appointment for Monday morning. Two young men arrived, took a look at the garage doors and immediately saw what repairs were needed. They had the doors up and down soooooo smoothly by the time they left. The only negative thing I can say is that we waited over 1/2 hour after receiving their text that they were on the way. Traffic maybe?

The technician, unfortunately I cannot recall his name at the moment, arrived in a very timely manner and immediately set himself to working. He diagnosed the problem within seconds, and had it repaired a few minutes later. Further, when I asked for his assistance and programming my garage door opener, he immediately gave me the assistance I asked for and now my garage door opener works perfectly. Should I ever need assistance with my garage door again, I will without hesitation contact overhead garage door.

Talked to Trey at OGD around noon on 24 Aug. 2020. explained that the lock on my garage door was broken, even sent a picture of the lock. he said not a problem a technician from OGD will arrive between 4 and 6 PM same day. At about 2:30 a technician by the name of Jorge arrived. he proceeded to tell me that a service of the door was $279.00 and after trying to get me to buy that service he said he could not replace or repair the lock and he would have to replace the whole door. I had to pay a $35.00 service fee to get rid of him. I dont know how they treat other people, but they basically stole $35.00 from me for coming to my house to fix something they knew they could not fix.

Technician was delayed past planned service window ( 12:00-2:00) due to service call before ours lasting longer than expected. The central office kept us regularly updated until technician was on his way.Deric assessed our door issues and provided explanation of what was required and cost to complete. We gave him the OK to proceed and he started to work. As he worked, he discovered a part that had failed in addition to other issues and immediately advised us of the added workload and revised cost. He adjusted door so we could manually open and close it until he can return with needed part to complete job.Deric was professional, efficient and personable. He knows what he’s doing and does it well. I would recommend OGD and Deric to anyone with garage door problems.

We have always had a great experience with OGD. Yesterday my door broke and I had an appointment today. Everything was done well and quickly.

My husband and I were leaving for a function and were unable to get our car out of the garage due to the garage door having broken since we had returned home 2 hours before.My husband called OGD and they said they would have someone out between 6:00 and 8:00 pm.No one ever showed up and my husband missed the entire function waiting for the repairman.My husband called three times and was told that they would contact the repairman.
