Best auto service in San Diego! Ive been coming here for over 10+ years, and I always leave with a smile. They have fixed my Explorer, Outback, and Ranger. From broken pumps/hoses to transmission work. If you want honest work at super fair pricing this is the place to be.

Likely the best repair shop Ive ever used. They are not perfect, car repairs simply cant be! But they stand by their work, work with you to figure out what the issue is at the lowest cost and dont, I mean DONT screw you over just because. George is honest up front (this might be the problem, but....) and treats you fairly. They get the repairs done fast, usually the same day, and prices are fair. We had brakes done on a Saturday, but they made an odd sound, took it in on Monday (theyll stay open later if you call), had it looked at and done in 15 minutes. A place well worth your time and money.

The service itself was fine as far as the work done. But the man who I assume is the manager, George, was not professional. He showed me the inside of my car to explain things. I asked him how much it would be since he seemed done, I guess he wasn’t and he told me “Can you breathe?.” Then another administrator walked past me while I sat in a chair in the lobby, I noticed him stop to stare at me and when I looked up he said I need to get in here, pointing at a door near me. He could have easily walked past my legs and if not that, he could’ve said excuse me and I would have known to move. After all that, now my cabin filter (which George wanted to fix but I declined because I’ll do it at home) is so smelly as if someone smeared grease on it, I can’t use my Ac in this heat wave now because it smells like car exhaust inside my car, until I fix it. I’m very disappointed. It was $400 for transmission checkup and fixing a gas leak.

Yo listen up guys save all ur money go somewhere else, dont waste ur time and money here, this guy George is a liar scam always trying to rip people off especially ones that doesnt know anything about car...Bad service and dishonest . They will tell you things you need when you dont. They will also overcharge you. I would not recommend them.Very rude when I was trying to explain what was going on with the Price we agreed on Did not let me finish explaining,called me stupid and was asked what do you want me to do over the phone? I told him absolutely nothing dont touch my car eventhough he already taken off my transmission piece by piece, thats how bad these guys are, took my car all my parts to another shop willing to put a new transmission computer for $2000.. George was going to charge me $3800and convinced me he will swap it for $2800... wadda jokes...never come to this place

I read a few reviews on here that reflect my experience pretty closely. I had my engine replaced here a couple of years ago. Following the replacement i kept getting a tighten fuel cap warning. Took it back several time but no solution was found. Still have the problem to this day.Had my wife take the car here to put on some premium suspension parts that i had picked out after hours of researching. Originally i had planned to install them myself but got sent on deployment early. Several problems surfaced immediately after these parts were installed. The suspension and steering sounded awful after 1 month. She took it back to them only to be told the parts were cheap made and needed to be replaced again, even though i had paid the extra buck to make sure i avoided cheap made parts. After the second replacement of the ball joints my car tire sounds like its going to fly off at any second. Imagine how your tire would sound if there were a bulge in one area or how it would sound if your wheel was warped going down the road. I finally decided that going here brings me nothing but more problems to figure out and took it to a reputable auto shop.The guy that test drove it at the reputable auto shop said he was scared to take the car on the freeway because of how loud the sound was. After full inspection, wheel bearing, engine mounts, cracked wheels, improper tires not made for my wheels, and broken misc items in the engine bay, along with the continuing evac system problem, are what i have to take away from my single decision to use excellence. I would keep taking my car back to solve the issues but i have lost confidence that the guys here no how to solve issues. Seems they are only created here. Alignment and balancing were my choice to try and fix to tire noise but to no avail. Its going to cost me over $2000 to resolve these issues that should not exist.As a side note, George is a kind man and did not perform most of the repairs himself. It is the shop as a whole that lost my confidence.

George will go to very extreme lengths to help out his customers, that alone is well worth getting your service done here... not to mention they are very knowledgeable when it comes to diesels

George and his crew take the time to explain their recommendations without patronizing or talking down to me. Prices for their services are fair and competitive. I recommend them without reservation. The missing 5th star is for their waiting room. It could be cleaner, with more comfortable seating and updated magazines or other entertainment like a TV or music. AC would be a huge plus, but then Im sure, prices would have to go up!

Just make sure you stay going there for ever. There is forced loyalty. If you decide to go to a different mechanic, youll be dropped like a bad habit. Hopefully you wont have to go back for warranties. Also, I really dont need my mechanic to mansplain or be derogatory towards me. ✌

I had a bad experience with this shop I had too keep going back and fourth like 5 times waisting my time and Money. Having to pay to get it towed twice from when I received it without any Reimbursement when they said I was ready to go. My car keeper leaking coolant putting my engine at risk! I was told there was no leaks when personally I seen it leaking like rain drops. I personally had to go to the shop and drive it around so they could see the problem never in my life I had to do such a thing. I wouldn’t recommend anyone to go through this process I paid good money to have my car running. And it’s still leaking coolant even after I picked it up and drove it not even a day

Poor customer service. Charged high prices for cheap faulty parts. Took my business to Repair Smith ALL repairs done properly and under warranty. Dont waste your time and money.

George is the man! Of course, hes only as good as his mechanics. I never feel cheated. They work on what they promise to. They may make suggestions, but never pressure you. They know its your car and they understand good business begets repeat business.

George is incredibly patient and personable. You can tell that he wants to repair the vehicle to the best of its ability, while money is of little concern. The prices are very reasonable and his turnaround time is quick. Will definitely be coming back, and I think Ive found the mechanic for me in San Diego!

Every time I had a issue I just take it to George and he takes great care of it. Only guy that you can trust with your cars and great prices too. Get things done very quickly. My dad goes to him so do I and my wife thanks George keep up the great work.

I went in for alignment they recommend a front lower control arm to be replaced I did. I noticed after it was done it did not need to be replaced. I also had an issue with the back tire and they recommend the spindle to be replaced so I did not trust them so I check myself it was lower control arm Needed to be replaced and I did it my self When I went back, for the alignment I got turn down 5 different it time saying the guy that does the alignment is not there on the sixth time I showed up they did the alignment and it got worse than it was before then they refund me my money for the alignment but not for the balance.

I go to George every time my car is not doing well. He is so nice and all the mechanics are so good at what they do! The best part is that they give a warranty on their work so I trust that they do their best every time. Some mechanics in this area do half a job for insane amounts of money and then charge you again when their shotty work messes your vehicle up again :( But that would never happen here! Make this your auto shop if you live in the area and you will never be disappointed :D

George and his son run the shop. He is quick and very flexible. I am always happy with their work. He doesn’t over charge or sell you more than what needs to be done. I totally trust him with my car.

This was probably the first autoshop Ive ever been to that I actually felt comforted by the staff.I drive a very old car and usually auto shops take advantage of me every time I get something checked because theres so many small problems with old vehicles. Fortunately at excellent auto service they did not! Just did what I asked and gave advice on how to keep the car up and running. Will be back if anything happens again!

Ive left my car there for a smoke test 3 Saturdays in a row. The first Saturday they replaced a hose. The second Saturday they did nothing. The third Saturday they contaminated the interior with gasoline to the point where I had to drive it home with the windows down. I will not be going back.

Amazing place, for all of your car needs. Georgeis a very honest and hard working individual. This place is the go to place for all of your car needs! hell I think they sell cars as well and everything.

My car engine hesitated and stalled, so I came by a tow truck. Was quickly diagnosed with a bad fuel pump. After its been replaced I could probably go a mile down the road and the engine stalled same way as before. Now, these were the injectors to blame. After some tempering with them, the car could run. So, I pick it up and later same day get check engine light. Code- bank1 catalytic converter. Call them only to hear that this must be carbonated engine and advice to try higher octane fuel and injector cleaners. Show the car to a friend mechanic- injectors reinstalled incorrectly and leak air hence the error code. A few days later I notice the rear passanger buckle missing probably left under the seat (it had to be removed for the pump replacement). Pull the seat- it turns out they did not even bolt it back, the bolts are missing. Under the seat there was a disastrous spill of some oily grease! The buckle was all in it and probably was intentionally left under the couch, photos attached. This is my experience, no judgements.P.S. After this review has been posted, the manager called me to talk about it. Unfortunately, no solution to the problem could be found. I think, they are all great people working there and with all the respect I have to them the quality of the work was barely satisfactory. Now, I add a star to the initial review to appreciate the desire to talk about the problem.

Unsafe and Hazardous. Should be named Sabotage Auto Service.I had the occasion to get a simple Oil Change and replace the spark plugs.George is the owner manager.Upon the mechanics inspection under the front end, he noticed the left front control arm and bushing needed to be replaced.Based on their recommendation, I opted to pay for the control arm replacement as it was a safety issue.In my particular vehicle the control arm is replaced with a new rubber Bushing. This was NOT done.On a routine repair and inspection at another shop just 2 months later, a different shop mechanic showed me the damaged left front bushing which was also mounted backwards.(It was the original from EAS 2 months before that was NOT replaced as it was damaged and backwards) The 2nd shop mechanic pointed this out and insisted I get a refund and make a complaint.I had to get that bushing replaced and kept the original which EAS(George) and his mechanics did back in February.I brought this to the attention of George the owner and after explaining this 5 times, he refused to Refund my money on the original work in which a bad Bushing was NOT replaced.George Admitted to me that they never replaced the control arm bushing and had no explanation for it.English is Not his first language, but he understood what was said and done.I have dealt with car repair shops for over 40 years and There never was a shop that only does part of a job. That is Unsafeand Dangerous.I gave George the chance to refund my money several times, which he failed to do and he still refused. He was a arrogant and refused to listen to reason.(Never again)A complaint was forwarded to the State Bureau of Automotive Repair.I advise others to go somewhere else as the safety practices are in the Severe Negligence category.I would Never Trust George or his shop to work on my car or anyone elses after that.
