Sam took great car of me and my vehicle. He took the time to hear me out on what I wanted and explained each product on what he thought would fit the style of sound i wanted. Installation was clean and quick turnaround. Installed JL audio system, remote start alarm,tint and underbody lights. Such good service I brought ny wifes car to get window tint as well. Great job! Great price and friend service. I came in to replace my old 4inch speakers. I bought one and then didn’t like the way it sound so I went back in and upgraded to another pair of speakers. He also gave me a discount. I am super happy with these speakers although it’s more than 2x the price of the previous ones. I highly recommend this place and please help support the local businesses.

Bought a lemon stereo here. Also bought brand new speakers that add their own beats to my music. I bought a faulty service here and the owner and Sam have refused to simply replace the unit. I didn’t cause the “miswiring errors” because I didn’t wire it?! I also would ask consent when “upgrading” what someone has purchased. What if the original system I paid for would have worked over my “upgrade” ?? I wouldn’t know because I didn’t receive it. Instead I’ve had a broken radio since leaving the place, literally day after purchasing the service. It’s okay to make mistakes, but a proper business would try fixing them instead of gaslighting a paying customer.

Sam was a great salesman but sold me a lemon stereo. Went back numerous times to resolve these issues(error codes/black screens/stereo turning off /on) with no success. Sam told me over the phone that he could exchange for another unit with no problems, which was great news, but when I took the stereo back in person to get another one Sam then decides to tell me the truth that there’s a 40% restocking fee...... real nice communication

Sam and his team are legends. I was bummed that my amplifier blew in my car but Sam was able to replace it and add Apple Car Play to my car. The new dash kit works flawlessly, looks great and most importantly was done in a timely manner and at a great price. Highly recommend!

Walked in and Sam was very polite and helpful. Answered all my questions and never was pushy. Quoted me the least expensive price of the area and the install, which other shops claimed would take “days” to install was completed in only 4hrs! They are great and absolutely recommend them.

Paid 4 thousand $ for a system installed. The quality of work wasntwhat i expected, the panels on my car are damaged, one peice of the center console was snapped and they didnt say anything about it, the panel above the stereo is broken and hanging out, handle of passenger door clips broken and fell off, driver door speaker rattles and Ive told them about all issues and gone back to wait outside all day to get my car back with no improvements on their work. Btw, lexus was purchased off the lot at San Diego Lexus a week before this stereo install. I was a returning customer but feel i will never return after this.

They went above and beyond!!! They did an awesome job on my Jeep cherokee with the window tints and they even fixed the lock of one of my doors. I highly recommend this place!!!!!

During this pandemic, people are still needing car modifications done and these guys hit it out the park! I was determined to get a new stereo put into my 05 Lincoln Town car so I checked around town and everybody else wanted to do appointments 3-4 weeks in advance!Not these guys, they were extremely helpful in offering to do the install right away. I came in an hour before closing and was immediately helped by Sam. He showed me a pioneer 2500 Nex for a good price and explained the extra little things to make it work with my factory steering controls. I decided to bite and they started the install the next day. I left my car to be worked on and it took roughly 6 hours to pick it up.There was an issue with the metra mounting kit because halfway through the install they gave me a call explaining the manufacturer had misclaimed that the kit fit all lincoln towncars but it just wasnt the right size. Unfortunately, they were out of stock for a brand that works but they called around and were able to order one from another stereo shop that would come in monday since everyone closes on Sundays all at no cost to me.Everything works and they placed the mic in the driver side corner of the windshield. Its a very professional job and I have been driving with it for a couple days now and there is no complaints! The only small thing is the stereo isnt flush yet because of the wrong mounting bracket from the original install but that will be fixed when I go back for correct one.All in all 10/10**Update**Went back in for the final bracket installation. In and out under 40 minutes. Amazing service and the finish product was definitely worth the price. The stereo is flush with the dash and looks factory. These guys are amazing and Sam is the man!Still 10/10

5 star service. I wouldn’t go to anywhere else in San Diego. Sam and his crew will do anything they promise within their capabilities. I went all around SD trying to ask someone about installing Apple CarPlay in my 2015 Mercedes-Benz CLA250 and most said that it can’t be done and that it was impossible. I came into here and told them what I wanted and they immediately said that they can do it and he started giving me quotes!! I also got my subwoofers installed for them and the job was very clean and well put together. If anyone else in these reviews are leaving negative feedback, it’s because they were mad they didn’t get a cheap or unreasonably low price. GO HERE FOR ALL CAR AUDIO NEEDS! Also if you want tint, a sunroof, a TV in your car, basically if you want a whole new car inside and out, I’d recommend coming here. They do it all!

Rushed the install. Did not install the crossovers how they belong. Had wires connected where they did not belong. Got ripped off and had to re do the whole job pretty much. Good thing I took off the door panel to check their work if not the tweeters would of blown up as soon as they turned it on. If you want the job right do it yourself. There is a reason this shop has 1 star. They will lose business and shut down. They cant even get simple wiring done. Beware go somewhere else

I needed suggestions without braking my wallet and they delivered. Mike Farha surpassed my expectations and fitted me with a factory look 7inch screen receiver that had all the bells and whistles. I even hinted that I may be looking to better my sound and Mike saved me a ton by telling me that my receiver alone would greatly boost my sound. Yes it did! I highly recommend Car Stereo City!!!

Bait and Switch. Do not believe the website claiming free installation or advertising a JVC stereo as $49 installed! The BS artist that I spoke to gave me the whole Yeah, its free, but parts and labor are extra bit. If parts and labor are extra, what the f*** is the FREE part again??Then he REALLY insulted my intelligence when I asked about having a new amp installed while leaving the 6 disc changer in place on my 03 Mitsubishi. He proceeded to tell me - with a straight face, mind you - that we would be getting into THOUSANDS of dollars if we tried that route, because there would have to be digital to analog converters and... Really. You really want to tell me, a studio engineer, that youd have to run, what... fiber optic cables? You mean to tell me youd have to convert a raw digital data stream into an analog signal? On a 2003 Eclipse. Really?Of course, this is TOTAL BS, and the adapters you need that go from your factory head unit to an aftermarket amp are available on Amazon for $12.99. I wonder how many people have been up-sold in this manner, having no idea that this unscrupulous snake oil salesman was lying through his teeth. So to summarize, I hope you find this review and save yourself some time and money by taking your business somewhere else. These kinds of shady business practices cannot be condoned. Good luck!

Been goin here for 5 years and nothing but great service

I had bad accident Car almost burned down in a drive thrue and wasnt able to get out due to an amp acting up luckily I was able to rip it out before causing damage to my car they said everything was warrantied cause they installed it and when this happened Mike told me there was nothing he can do and would have to resolve it with the brand maker myself, also had 2 other friends take there cars in and was not happy with the service
