What a grade A experience! Good customer service, great coffee, Mocha was rich, and very tasty. Bit on the expensive side, but.. Overall a great experience and a great cup of coffee. Good stuff Better Buzz!

Friends of mine have raved about the Lavender Tea Latte, so I waited in line at the Drive-thru for quite a while to experience this deliciousness. When I got to the window, the person did not look me in the eye, did said thank you, nor gave any response at all when I said thank you. They literally asked for money, handed me my drink and then walked away with no regard for customer service. The drink was good enough, but I cant be bothered to make the drive for people who cant be bothered to acknowledge my patronage, especially when I told them it was my first visit there.

Decent coffee, but this place has messed up my order nearly every time Ive been here. That is not an exaggeration. This place needs to get their stuff together.

I went to get a blended tea latte yesterday and was charged $8.35 plus added a $1 tip. Ridiculous pricing! It bothered me so much after thinking about it overnight that I called and spoke to the manager to try to determine why I was charged so much. I told her exactly what I had ordered and she acknowledged I was overcharged (I didn’t even get the lavender I had requested in my drink).She didn’t even offer a free cookie or whatever their cheapest item in the store is. It was like, well too bad. Next time just order a tea (not blended)…that was her advice. SMHWOW!A drink costing that dang much should at least have ice cream and be a milkshake or something. Oat milk is an additional 90 cents which is okay (even though most places offer it as an alternative free).Feeling totally robbed here! I won’t be returning needless to say.

Horrible location with traffic running out into the street and around the block. Making a busy street even more dangerous and congested. With that sad planning you would think you could walk up and order a drink (like many other locations)YOU CAN’T..forced to use a website that doesn’t work half the time and get orders wrong. Simple people without technology and homeless are EXCLUDED or forced to play frogger in traffic. Build a walkup order like EVERY OTHER BUSINESSES. Sad no one is even willing to help.

Pick a different location. Im sitting out in the road waiting for drive thru beacause woman taking orders doesnt realize if she simply scooted herself and the ordering cystomer up 5 feet no one would be waiting in the road... then asks me for my name... there are 3 cars in front of me.. in a line... between cement barriers... do you really need my name..? Just not the best crew logistics going on here...update: coffee was disappointing too wow...

Obviously the coffee is awesome but this specific Better Buzz takes forever to prepare coffee!! You’ll wait 15-20 minutes for coffee when only 5 cars are in front of you!

Was super excited to try the very hyped up Better Buzz Coffee soft serve and coffee! Walked up after coming from the beach around 4pm with a big smile on my face and was not greeted. The workers just stared at us. Mind you, we had about 8 people who were willing to spend their dollars here. They were out of soft serve! What?? Youre open until 7pm and no soft serve? Thats ridiculous. No Hey Im so sorry or a have a nice evening... just a I dont want to deal with you type of attitude. Glad you guys care about your customers!!! Think I will stick to another local coffee joint from now on.

Good coffee, but a bit pricey

My place of peace is this coffee shop! I love to linger here and just let time pass while sitting on their cozy lounge and enjoying a nice cup of my favorite matcha after a tiring day of work. All the workers here are kind, and they all smile as they welcome you. Ill certainly come back and recommend it to all my friends who love coffee!

Nice place to grab a coffee/latte on the go. Most other drinks are a little too sweet for my taste. Blueberry muffins are tasty and not too sweet.

The place is small but very popular. They have a wide variety of coffees and even offer tea. The flavored coffee is a little on the sweet side, but they offer to make it half sweet or less sweet when asked. Theres parking at the site that shares it with the Jack in the Box. The drive thru usually has a line, so beware. The staff is sweet and they have a cute thing with Harry Potter at the mall.

Cheerful order taker, piping hot delicious coffee!

First time here and didn’t notice how to get to the “front” or back of the store so I got in the long line of cars that spilled onto the street and patiently waited until I got to the speaker. When the lady asked what I wanted I let her know I had a mobile order and she responded with: Your drinks are at the front.and was done. After I passed the speaker AND the window did I realize that the front of the store is accessible through the side ally next to Jack in the box. I had to wait in line the whole time only to get to the front to go and find parking next door because the only spot immediately available without blocking drive thru customers was handicap one. Point Loma and Miramar location are nothing like this one. They are much friendlier. The drive is worth it.

Oh. My. Goodness. This coffee is so good!!!! “The best drink ever” is exactly that.... americano (3 shots espresso & water) with their creamy dreamy vanilla... to die for. Açaí Bowl was on point as well. 5/5 recommend.

I ordered a simple drip coffee with cream and sugar. Only 3 cars total in the drive thru. Took FOREVER. The coffee was almost cold when I got it and I was late for an appt. I dont even leave reviews like this but its just so ridiculous like how do you mess up a normal drip coffee 😑

This is a beautiful little gem in the sunset. They put miraculous detail in their coffee making. I love coming here because the baristas are so lovely, funny, and make me feel super welcomed! The coffee and baked goods are delicious. Although it is on the expensive side, the quality makes up for it. I highly recommend Hollow for all.

Not really friendly. It was our first time there and the guy with glasses came to the front and said to scan that we can just barcode to order and walked away without letting us even ask a question. He didn’t try to offer any support. I don’t know what his problem was but we waited outside and then when our order was ready he just pick it in the pickup window without even letting us know it was ready. He acted very passive aggressive towards us and was maybe taking his bad day out on us. Not the best for a first time experience.

I love this place and the coffee is really good, but for some reason the last couple times I came over the coffee was bitter. Not sure why... I told the cashier and she got me a discount but the coffee I got was still with a wierd taste

Theres always a line, but it moves quickly. As someone with multiple food allergies and sensitives, I appreciate that theyre so friendly and willing to customize my coffee. My go-to order is a honey latte with coconut milk (they use So Delicious brand) and no vanilla powder (dairy). It tastes great whether its hot or iced. Occasionally, Ill add lavender for a slight offset to the sweet honey. Love all of their locations, but this is the one I visit most frequently as its on my route to work.

The iced green tea is dog p00p. yard clippings boiled for a bit and then poured over ice. nothing but tanins...i forced myself to drink it because I paid top dollar and my stomach wants me to vomit now. cool.

Good coffee. Lines can take a while. But its PB and to expect fast service or even good service is expecting too much usually.

When I think to the time I lived in Pacific Beach, one of the best memories I have is of my frequent stops at Better Buzz Coffee. Whether youre on the way to work, or to the beach for a walk on the boardwalk, Better Buzz is the perfect way to start your day. I recommend their Best Drink Ever but half sweet - otherwise its a little too sugary. Their acai bowls are also a must have. The classic espresso drinks are also great quality - smooth and rich in flavor.

I dont see what the buzz is all about. Coffee is mediocre at best. With so many coffee shops in PB Ill look for something better.

So I would give this place a 5 star review only if I actually liked really sugary coffee drinks. My girlfriend suggested this place on our way out of San Diego, so we stopped by. The drive thru had a line into the street, which is a good thing, obviously people love this place. The menu had a long list of different types of coffee drinks to pick from along with juices and blended drinks too.I ordered the popular drink, I believe it was the famous coffee or something along that line. Overall very tasty but once again its overkill on the sweetness for me. They did have an option to go half sweetness, so next time I will be trying that and updating my review from there. Starbucks lovers are in for a treat going here!

I really like the vibe in this place. Its small, but in a trendy fun way. The coffee and tea is wholesome in taste (and, from what Ive seen, ingredients too!). Theres also a drive through, which is cool for such a small place!

Better Buzz has made me a coffee addict never thought i would say that. The coconut buzz is amazing and the caramel buzz is always a second best. Sweet and helpful staff.

Thought my experience here may have been an anomaly but looking at some of the previous reviews that discuss the rude staff, it seems to be an accurate description of this location! They need to have an internal discussion about customer service and lose the entitled attitude.

The coffee is amazing and service was polite, and quick. Only complaint is the drive through/parking situation isnt too safe and practical. Not alot of food options either. This one is primarily just a coffee shop drive through.

Better Buzz Coffee Roasters is a San Diego staple. The crafted espresso beverages, the tasty iced coffees, and their smooth cold brews draw people in like moths to a charcoal flame. Plus, their marketing is great! All those beautiful photos on their social media sites! This is how you market your business. You dont tell people how good the place is — you show it! Same rule that applies to writers also applies to thriving entrepreneurs. Love this location. It has a drive-thru window, which is a plus. The atmosphere is relaxing if you have your coffee outdoors. It gets crowded inside, especially during peak hours. But it still has the cozy café feel to overlook it (and this isnt a problem if you enjoy people-watching, like me). Dont hesitate to be better buzzed if youre in the San Diego area!

Have seen this place for a while, always with incredibly long lines. Vowed I would never go there because of that, but my gf persuaded me to try it on our trip up north. Stopped in and got a Mocha, holy shiot! It was that good, so I see why people wait in line for their coffee. I still prefer to support the small guy coffee shops, but I dont mind swinging in for an occasional mocha.

I went there around 3 PM and there was more than enough parking.I ordered an Acai Bowl and I thought it was convenient and cute how it was put in a cup that I could take on the go with me.The employees were enthusiastic and kind to all of the customers.Overall, I enjoyed my experience and I would recommend stopping by this location of Better Buzzed.

Coffee and staff were great, but it was incredibly loud. It was hard to focus on work or even talk to anyone around. Found myself yelling to be able to talk to the person next to me. Would recommend for drive-through drinks but not to hang around in.

I rated this place 4 stars because I think a five star type of coffee shop for me would make stronger coffee. I love the decoration at this place, the water bowl outside for the dogs, the game outside and the music, plus free WiFi!! I enjoyed sitting on the comfy swings that Better Buzz have outside. I can’t wait to visit their other location on Hill Crest, my friend said is 10 times bigger than this one here in Pacific Beach.

Enjoyed an early morning Mexican Mocha and Vanilla Bean Latte with a really good 3 seed avocado toast. really liked that they open earlier than anyone else and the quality of the drinks was great!

Kind of loud, when theres a crowd there they have the music blasting as well. So it can be kind of difficult to study. This particular location down on Garnett towards the beach has limited seating. I mean, it has a large seating area, but its always crowded. Still, a great place to hang out if you can get a seat!

Small place. Most of their business is drive through and that slows down fulfilling orders for the walk-ups like me. Really smooth latte! Much more smoother than Starbucks.

I showed up just after opening on a Sunday. It was dead inside, but the staff were super friendly even though they were still getting things set up for the rush of people with normal sleep schedules. I ordered a chai latte and a chocolate croissant. Both were delicious.

Cool little spot for some fresh brews or buch. I had a lavender kombucha on tap. It was crisp and delicious! Fair prices, nice atmosphere and clean too. Would definitely go back again and probably be a regular here if I lived in the area.
