Vegan sandwich on sourdough. It was so good. It had vegan mozzarella cheese, arugula, microgreens, avocado and potato. I cannot remember the name of the sandwich I decided to put the ingredients. Nonetheless, this sandwich was off the chain with goodness!

This place is amazing! They seem to be very vegan-friendly. Pretty much all drinks are made with non-dairy milks by default, and I only recall seeing a single food option with cheese.

It took me back to my days at UC Berkeley with the laid-back atmosphere. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Nice selection of drinks, I was surprised to see that they have kombucha on tap.

This is my favorite coffee shop. Great vegan food and the drinks are always made with love. Mac Milk Latte is my fave hot drink and the Summit Fever is a top iced drink for me. Recommend to anyone who loves great coffee/tea drinks, yummy vegan food and rad people!

Chill vibe. Lots of coffee tables to do work and just hang out. Lots of cute and creative lattes as well that are just as tasty as they look. Would definitely recommend stopping by if youre in the area!!!

Nice quaint quite spot. Great for a quick coffee and Avocado toast with cayenne Pepper sprinkled proportionately over it. Perfect for me. Not heavy, nor filling, but just right for the light savory eaters....they have other stuff too for you sweet toothed folks, and Brazilian themed bowls for those that partake in those pleasures...may try it on an alternate visit....Enjoy!

The women working there today was extremely rude and gave me attitude for walking through the wrong door. She could’ve been nicer about the situation and instead made me feel unwelcome.

All the food here is vegan and the vibe is chill. I would recommend they wear hair nets while making the food. I am a red head when I ordered this morning I got a Sour dough avocado toast & there was a blond hair in it 🤦🏽‍♀️

I love the vibe of this place and the cute, thoughtfully made gifts they have available for purchase. I ordered a dirty chai with macadamia milk. It was watery. I liked the taste of the milk and the foam was a nice touch but the taste of the chai didnt come through for me.

I still have not found an Acai bowl to rival Danielles in all my travels. The owner (Danielle) really made my kids feel welcome to try something new and they loved it.

Im giving ultreya five stars because the place is really good for vegan food. Im not a vegan, but Im lactose intolerant and it helps when all pastries are vegan in that sense. The coffee flavors are very interesting with combinations I have never seen before. I had to try plenty, and all were good, I would love to try more of their stuff on the panini press. The owners and staff are pretty cool characters too. Check it out, s hidden gem around the neighborhood, it can be easy to miss.

This delightful establishment is the quintessence of local independent businesses; once you set foot inside, its as if the coffee house has always been a part of the of businesses partnerships of the College/ Rolando/ Mid-City areas, and a mainstay of the community. I first visited Ultreya two months ago, and Danielle; House Team Member, greeted me with such a warm exchange, I immediately knew I was in the right place; not necessarily to support a local business, or purchase a warm beverage, but to spend time in a place where you feel wanted. The excellent drink and food options, and the ambiance of the lobby / dining atmosphere, adds to the houses superb setting. As I journey onward, from time to time, Ill ensure to stop by this beautiful establishment. For almost two years, you continue to do good things, and thank you for helping your patrons (past, present and future) to feel they belong in your coffee house. See you around, neighbors!

Sooo good. My friend got Thai tea and I got mango green tea. The boba pearls were so tasty and the texture was really soft and chewy. It was just really great. I honestly think the pearls were better than the drink. The storefront itself was really cute, really trendy. Great spot for instagram bloggers lol.

Came in from NYC and knew about this place from a friend. It was about 15 minutes away from where we were staying at Hotel Del, but the coffee alone was worth the drive. Best mocha I’ve ever had, and that is saying a lot! I’m not a vegan, but it looked like a lot of great vegan options if that’s your thing. Service was great and friendly. Cute little spot with great chill, laid back vibes! Definitely worth a trip here!

Man, I really wanted to like this place so it saddens me to have to give it three stars. I stumbled upon Ultreya after getting my tires changed around the corner. They had a great array of vegan pastries and I ended up getting one plain croissant and one chocolate croissant along with a chai tea latte. This came out to $15 which I thought was pretty expensive, but considering my favorite vegan pastry shop in Hillcrest charges $5 for a croissant, I figured it would be worth it. Oh, how wrong I was...So let me be clear, the house-made chai tea was worth every penny as it was likely the best I have had in my life (five stars). But the pastries... oh my gosh they had to have been a day old at least (one star). Probably more like two days. I couldnt eat more than two bites of my chocolate croissant despite how hungry I was.I always want to support vegan eateries but I felt very ripped off by this place, plus the boss was pretty cold and stand offish. The cashier was nice enough though.In the future, I hope they offer a discount to day-old pastries or they raise their freshness standards.

First time trying Ultreya today and loved it! One of the better cappuccinos Ive had in SD! Glad I found this place and look forward to coming back :)

Excellent coffee and pastries! Enjoyed a latte made with macadamia nut milk, no charge for milk substitutions.

First, I will definitely give the coffee, any kind, a 5-star. Location, 5 star, for UCSD, Bethel Seminary and a couple of churches nearby for a Sunday after church drink. We met friends here a couple of times. The inside seating is not as spread out as the environment in the Living Room cafe. So its relatively quieter. But you can still have a not so loud family meeting, for many students come here with headphones on. The general price of coffee is a little high but not unbearable. Now, the reason for me to not give this place a 5 star is their other drinks, smoothie. 8.50 for a small mason jar of weird taste smoothie is not very reasonable. The reason for me to say so is that we make smoothie regularly at home and its really not difficult to make from tons of ordinary recipes online, fresh and healthy and under 1 dollar.

My girlfriend and I live in Australia and we froth on some good coffee, not your commercial drip... the good stuff! When we came to stay with my parents we couldn’t find a good coffee anywhere... it was just down the street! Oath, this girl makes a mean coffee! Saved our lives, could easily open up a café anywhere in the world and people would come for a coffee 🙏🏼

Great low-key spot for healthy food and coffee. Ive been here 3 times....great experience each time. A nearby apt bldg gave me a coupon for here. The owner said she never authorized the coupon but honored it for me anyway. Last time we were here, my daughters pastry was a little dry and they switched it out asap no questions asked. Chai lattes are super yum!

I highly recommend this place! With its warm, cozy vibes and delicious food, and coffee what more would you want? Amazing hospitality and great coffee from their server. Overall, a great experience and will return if given opportunity.

Stopped by Ultreya after seeing their sign outside that said Vegan and very glad I did! Had an awesome vegan scone that the owner recommended and it was delicious! Ill def be back!

Loved the acai bowl the first time I stopped by. Decided to come back again and arrived 45 minutes before closing. The woman at the counter jumped up and closed and locked the door when she saw me park. Not so much as a sorry, were closing early tonight. Wont be going back.

Excellent customer service, amazing acai and charcoal bowl! Unique and delicious ingredients! This is a really cute spot in an unassuming shopping plaza, but it is nestled in a great area. I am excited for there soon to be opened patio lounge area too.

Very tasty coffee, but it is pricey in my opinion. The location is also difficult to figure out. I went for the experience but if the coffee was lower priced I would be a much bigger fan because it is strong, delicious coffee.
