I got the Madeleine Omelette and tried a bit of the spinach quiche my friend ordered. Omelette was very filling and the quiche was moist. Definitely will be coming back. We did outdoor dining. Food was delicious!

A cute little cafe with all yummy things. Order at the counter and seat yourself type of place. All outdoor seating right now and seems to have plenty of seating. I ordered a savory crepe for brunch and it came out fast and tasty.

This is an always enjoyable little cafe. We eat here a few times a month, primarily breakfast. Love the food and feeling, spot transports you to Europe for a bit. Everyone is always friendly, and the food has never disappointed!

Had the smoke salmon Crepe which was excellent, except crepes were not as thin as we expected. My wife had Lemon Crepe and Yogurt Parffait .Crepe ok, yogurt not so good

Really great! My pesto lamb sausage sandwich was absolutely delicious and the Nutella c is to die for! I had the grapefruit sangria which I absolutely loved (twice). Their Crouque monsure was delicious and filling.

This is a beautiful cafe in North Park that is in walking distance to lots of apartments and homes nearby. The menu was very well done and the staff had excellent recommendations to give. The lemon crepes were top tier, and we really enjoyed the eggs Benedict as well. We would definitely come here again!

My old roommate loves all things French, so I found Cafe Madeline for a brunch reunion and an afternoon of remote work. Beautiful place with unique decor, excellent food and drinks, and a wonderful staff. They bake their delicious namesake madeleines fresh every morning. Next time I’m in the neighborhood I’ll be happy to stop by again.

Terrible service, she got all the order wrong. I was afraid to say something because it was like the 3rd mistake but I didn’t do it to not have a worst experience.Also, I ordered a latte (to go) and she made it “for here” (another mistake) when I ordered a cup to-go and switch cups, coffee was almost half empty, you can see the shadow from the cup sleeve, that is above the coffee. You don’t get the same amount if you order in a to-go cup than if you drink at the restaurant, even when they charge the same as a 12oz latte.I used to like this place a lot, but now the personal is terrible.

My words are incapable of explaining how good of a place this is. Everything was delicious and tasted of high quality ingredients. Come stop by for a meal you’re guaranteed to never forget.

The food is delicious! There were 10 of us and about 8 different items were ordered. The ingredients are fresh and the food is scrumptious!The restaurant is small so we were a bit cramped and due to our large group, the meals came out staggered but the quality of the food and the incredible friendliness of the staff outweighed any possible deficit.We all had a great time and will most assuredly be back.

It was so easy to decide where to go to find the coffee and breakfast this morning. since I am in the North Park Area. It was damn near impossible to decide what to eat. Luckily my new friend Patty who was sincere, engaging, as well as helpful (in my moment of indecisiveness), but most of all she was kind of lighthearted. and to top it all off she made me the BEST chai latte w/ almond milk Ive ever had in my life. Long story short I bought everything with no regrets, and made a friend I look forward to seeing next time Im in town.

The food at Cafe Madeleine was pretty good. The breakfast panini was good. Unfortunately the service was less than great. We had asked the server for a refill on our coffee and it took about 15 minutes. Maybe the service was just off today, but in the future Id just order takeout.

Best Italian place to have a great delicious brunch, the best taste, cozy and make you feel relax for a moment! enjoying a delicious coffe, parking can be hard to find depending the time, service its great the lady, which I think is the owner she is very nice.. definitely I need go back to try more for that delicious menu.

Ive been a fan of the original over in South Park for a while now but this location definitely has captured the same rustic little French cafe feel. Its hard to go wrong with crepes this good.

Weve heard of the cafe a little while back, my wife had an idea of on going to take a couple is funny and nice pics for our 25th anniversary invitations. The area is very close to the freeway, they have the parking lot in the back. They werent very busy when we got there, the food looked good, the drinks were ok and the service was very nice. We enjoy the drinks. The service was faster than what we expected and the person that helped us had always a smile, from the time we got there the time our drinks were served and by the time we left. It feels nice to be on a place that makes you feel at home from the moment you come in. I hope I dont bug you with our anniversary pictures taken outside the door of the cafe. If you ask me if we liked this place I say yes! we liked it and we are coming back with our kids at a later date so they can enjoy this cafe too. If you have a chance to stop by and want to feel like on a Parisian Cafe this is the place to be in the North Park area. One word of advise, come with time to enjoy your drinks and maybe a croissant or 3 they looked very good!

Good atmosphere and tasty food and beverages! Also there is a small parking lot and decent street parking. It is a little expensive however ($17 for a frappe and BLT) but it’s worth it if you spend a little bit of time here.

I went on a walk this morning in search for some coffee and found this wonderful little place that blends my two favorite places, San Diego and Paris. This little cafe/boulangerie, Cafe Madeleine, has great little details to give it a Parisian authenticity. The cool overcast morning and Parisian jazz and django playlist add to the ambiance definitely did not hurt. The staff is polite and attentive. I love this place.

This place is okay. I just got a latte and a croissant. The coffee was really strong and thick at the bottom, not really ideal for nice smooth coffee. That croissant was good but nothing special. I plan to visit again and try more menu items.

Nice open outdoor dining, I had a business lunch here and I LOVE all the great food and dessert options! They also have wines and various baked goods, and the staff are extremely friendly. Would definitely come again 😁

A recent addition to our neighborhood, this cafe offers Illy coffee, which immediately attracted our attention. We went for breakfast and ordered quiche and a sandwich, which were good. Despite working with excellent beans though, coffee is mediocre, due to (as we were told) the lack of training for the baristas. After a couple of tries they do get it right, but by their own admission, they are not aware of the terms, which in this area of hipster know-it-all foodies could be detrimental to a business. Therefore my plea to the proprietor: Please show these nice people how to make coffee. Pretty please. Oh, and there is another thing. If youre going to call your place Madeleine, you should probably offer good Madeleine cookies. Alas, the ones we were offered were doughy and dense, instead of light and fluffy like theyre supposed to be. None of the buttery flavor either.All this is a pity because this little gem has the potential to be a 5 star rated establishment. So, in conclusion, I do hope they change their cookie recipe and train their baristas and make me revise this review soon. Wish them well!

This is one of my favorite places for weekend petit dejeuner (breakfast)! Its a quaint corner cafe thats about as close to a neighborhood French cafe as youll find in San Diego. The breakfast selections range from coffee and a delicious pastry to the Madeleine Benedict. They also have a nice selection of paninis if youre more of a lunch person. Although I prefer tea, they serve Illy coffee and a variety of coffee drinks, which my out of town guests say are excellent. They also have a great selection of paninis. I would be remiss if I didnt also mention that they have a dog friendly patio. Good food, friendly staff and Luna (dog) friendly, and you get high marks from me.

So I had the simple breakfast, which the over easy eggs by the way is delicious. The quality of service, food and experience. Is a must do again....

One of the best breakfast places in San Diego! I honestly couldnt pick a favorite between the two crepes we had, the truffle fries and the BLT. Everything was heaven. The wait staff was very sweet and made sure to check in when necessary.Do not pass this restaurant up and make sure to try a little bit of everything.

Food is pretty good, I liked the atmosphere too but the service isn’t the best. I was waiting in the line and the cashier got the order of the person behind me first which was weird and then she brought the wrong order, but when I told her she was nice and brought me what I actually ordered. Overall I recommend this place.

My mom and I have made this a regular Sunday tradition. The iced tea and iced coffee are smooth and refreshing on hot summer mornings. The ladies who work here are sweet and accommodating. Its like Cheers to jave a neighborhood coffee house with people who know you.

Great little French bistro and bakery recommended by my husbands coworker (who grew up in France). We had coffee, quiche Lorraine, egg breakfast, and a perfect delicious berry cream crepe. Crepe big enough for 2 :) Will definitely be going back to try other things and am seriously hoping the French toast come back on the menu!

Before I say whats great about this place, the only knock on my experience was the chocolate croissant old, that tasted a day old, was hard, and too crunchy.Youll fall in love with this place as soon as you walk in. The ambiance was warm and cozy. The Christmas decorations were tasteful and professional done. The menu was stylish with a gold frame. They had a wide variety of pastries and drinks. The Cappuccino had a great amount of foam and the iced tea was brewed perfectly.

Its cute! If you liked the South Park location, youll like this one too! This one is on a busier street but still cute. The inside is nice and small and they have a small little shaded patio too. Definitely a place for a short first date or short study session. It can get a bit loud, but its nice. Its a livelier cafe. The menu selection is okay, but everything they serve us delicious. Definitely recommend!

Not sure what happened with them. I ordered the croque madame and it looks and tastes like they grabbed ingredients from the local Albertsons and put something together. Disappointing experience. I had wanted to try this place for a while and finally got a chance. The first visit everything was great, had the creme brûlée crepes and coffee. When I went back during the week I ordered the same thing and sat at the community table. The crepes were served with a long, dark hair in the whipped cream. As if that wasn’t unappetizing enough, a large group showed up around 8:30 in the morning and obnoxiously demanded that I move because they had a networking group that was meeting there. This is the community table that is to be SHARED, not to mention I was already seated there when they arrived. I know the restaurant isn’t directly responsible for this, but it definitely impacts other customer’s experiences if groups are allowed to behave like this. After this experience I don’t plan to be back.

I wanted to sit down to have an afternoon coffee, unfortunately its service is null, all the tables dirty. We had to clean it with my water bottle and a paper since there was only one person attending without desire. The food is fine but I would not return. Dirty and without customer service.

This restaurant is fantastic and roomy, the menu was delicious and the prices were very inexpensive. quick, productive service and very amiable waiters. Highly recommended.

Disappointed. The food here isnt made with love. Ordered the Brie Panini and the Pear Crepe. Neither had much flavor. The panini couldve had more brie, and the caramelized onions shouldve been sauteed with a more salt to enhance the flavor. Also, apricot or tastier apple variety wouldve been a better choice of fruit.The crepe dough was too thick and slightly raw, and the pears inside were cold and hard. Couldve made warm pear compote instead. With better culinary leadership, this place could be wonderful.
