Twiggs makes the best cakes around! They made a passion fruit layered cake for our wedding which was delicious. I ordered a repeat of this cake for our two year anniversary and loved it even more. I recently had a strawberry shortcut cake for my graduation and it was amazing with an excellent amount of strawberry frosting! The detail in the decoration was beautiful. The staff is always super helpful and accommodating to support with cake orders. This is our go to cake spot. Thank you, Twiggs!

Good place!!! I was on business in San Diego and stopped in on Maps suggestion. It was a nice service and it seemed sincere. While we sat enjoying our lunch, we saw some people coming in who were greeted by name and knew their orders. Ive got one of the best sellers and thats perfect!

Twiggs Bakery made us a cake to remember for the fallen souls at the 79th Annual Commemoration of the Battle of Midway on 4 Jun 1944. The cake was delicious and we commemorated the occasion in style with Twiggs special touch! Great cake at a decent price!

Went there the other morning and paid $17 for 2 ham and cheese croissants for breakfast. The breakfast croissants were good but not 2 for $17 good. But good enough for me to go there and try it again if I really had a hankering for a ham and cheese croissant. Had their ham and cheese croissants behind the glass, it was more croissant than ham and cheese. No bueno.

I was in a bad situation with a bakery I hired that pulled out last minute. Had to find someone else to make a custom cake for my son’s birthday. I probably called 20 other places and no one picked up the phone besides Dan at Twiggs. They were very busy too but he was the only person who was willing to help and not only that, he was so quick, responsive and came up with a great cake design. Thank you so much for being so professional and a wonderful human being. Won’t hesitate to recommend Twiggs. And next time I need a custom cake, they’ll be the first place I call.

I’ve been coming here for years, and the quality of their pastries and coffee is always reliably great.The breakfast sandwich on a biscuit is a great deal, and the biscuits are supersized, buttery, and basically perfect.Tasty scrambles, plenty of outdoor dining space, and stringent compliance with current health guidelines.

Having previously gotten a grooms cake for my son in law when he married my daughter, I thought it only fair I do the same for my sons wedding. Not an easy task when you live on the east coast and the wedding was taking place in San Diego. I also wanted it to be a secret. After deciding on a flavor and design that was fitting not only for my son but his fiance, I was easily able to narrow down my search to Twiggs Bakery & Coffeehouse. While there was a slight misunderstanding as to the type of cake topper design I wanted based on emails, this was easily corrected with a phone call. They even looked at an Instagram page in order to duplicate the couples cats. I was excited not only to see, but taste, the finished product that was delivered to the Cuvier Club on September 7th. It exceeded my expectations and everyone commented not just how fantastic it looked but how delicious it tasted. This was definitely one of the best cakes I have ever had. Dont hesitate to contact Twiggs if your looking for that special cake.

I ordered a cake last week to be picked up on Friday. We were celebrating my husbands pinning ceremony and making Chief. Twiggs bakery made me the cutest white frosted chocolate cake with the Chiefs anchor and attached an adorable Congratulations plaque to the front of the cake.The cake was so pretty, but even better, it tasted AMAZING. The staff was wonderful, prompt, and professional. The gal working, when I picked up my order on Friday, was so sweet!Oh, and the bakery is also a really cool cafe! So if youre not in need of a delicious cake at the moment, stop in for a yummy caffeinated beverage!Thanks yall! I will definitely be back!

This place was recommended by a friend of ours and I got to tell you it didnt disappoint. We knew they made pastries and cakes. Since we went in the late afternoon we were not able to see their daily made bread display full, yet the few pastries they had it they were delicious, I tried the corn blue berry muffin, I though it was sweet yet it turned out to be a bit salty, I wasnt expecting it thought the flavor was very good. My wife and I tried the croissant and a little (nice size) piece of carrot cake. It was sooooooo good, not so over sweet, or with out flavor, it was just perfect!They place is very well kept and clean, they have outside sitting and inside sitting if you like to eat inside. The Chai tea late cold was on point and the Caramel latte that my wife got was very good! I am a chai tea lover and the flavor was amazing. They have handicap access and parking spaces right in front or the side of the building. I really liked the fact that the place felt at home. and the best part was the people behind the counter, super helpful, always smiling, ready to help and explain to you how things work at the bakery. All an all was a good experience.Next time we are around that area I am bringing my boys with me and my wife. There are so many cakes to chose from and so many more delicious things to check out and taste!

Cute store but the general demeanor of the staff was not friendly at all. The danish is okay but definitely would be better warm as one would expect to get in a bakery setting.Definitely a good place for some cold baked goods I guess.

Their pastries are delicious..variety of teas and coffees....only credit card ..no cash transanctions..very quiet for a tuesday here in North Park..were usually theirs a diversity of tourist and locals enjoying this part of town..lots of places have closed down due to pandemic issues. but still a great hang out for the artist and bohemiain lifestyle..awsome

I had a terrible customer service experience here. It took all of 2 minutes before I decided I would simply be getting my cake somewhere else. The staff here was incredibly rude.Not only has this bakery lost my business, Ill be advising anyone who will hear it against doing business with the company.

Super chill coffee shop. Neighborhood feel and patronage. Perfect for laptop/book time. Roomy.Not noisy. Nice tables on sidewalk under a shade tree. There is an even more private outdoor seating hallway area off the sidewalk. Staff is very cool, very friendly. Only shortcoming is very few beverage choices besides their coffee/tea offerings. We worked with Ellie Mae on our wedding cake. She listened to everything that we wanted for our cake, and all the samples we tried were amazing. It was very hard to pick just two flavors! It came out beautifully and tasted delicious, which is what every bride and groom hopes for. The carrot cake was a hit among all our guests! I hope to get back to San Diego in the future so I can order another, perhaps for our first anniversary.

While waiting in line for a restaurant across the street, we stopped by this bakery and ended up getting a pulled pork biscuit sandwich to share. It was pretty large, so Im happy that I shared it with two others. The biscuit was fresh and soft inside and crunchy on the outside. The pulled pork was nothing special but, combined with the rest of the sandwich, tasted delicious! Im definitely excited to go back again to try some of their other specialties!

The white velvet cake is a dream! I will happily drive all the way across town (I live in San Carlos and work in Sorrento Valley - its nowhere near on my way anywhere) to get their cakes. Fairly priced and helpful and courteous staff.

Great place to hang out or work. Consider bringing a sweater if you tend to get cold. I get a latte and a breakfast panini: tasty and perfectly fair rent for a comfy chair, a table, an outlet, and reliable wifi. Plenty of space so you dont feel like youre hogging a table :)

Delicious sourdough croissant! The chocolate sourdough croissant was not quite as good however.I was a little confused going in because you have to grab a bag and pick out your own breads. They had coffee and hot tea but no iced tea which I was craving.It was nice that there is a little parklet outside with a bike rack.

They have the best croissants Ive ever had. My favorites are the ham and cheese, almond, and plain, in that order. The space is small, but the line moves quick. Great stop before the Sunday morning farmers market on Clement.

I recently ordered a carrot cake for a 70th birthday and it was a huge hit! The cake was moist and delicious and the cream cheese frosting was perfect. Not too sweet. My son lives in San Diego and I in NY state. Ordered my sons College grad cake over the phone with Ellie Mae the designer. When I got to San Diego and picked it up it was exactly what I envisioned and Ellie Mae got it perfect. Tasted as good as it looked. Will be back in on my next visit to San Diego!

Food was super flavorful. The staff was very helpful and welcoming. The bill was fair for the quality of food.

Nice but did not blow me away. The cold brew was not very good (terrible actually). The bakery part though looked very good. I expected more product, but what was displayed was nice. There are other coffee shops nearby with bakery products which are amazing.

My wife and I had Twiggs make our 3 tiered wedding cake. It was INCREDIBLY delicious. We were lucky enough to have the entire top tier of the cake untouched by the guests and took it home. My wife wanted to freeze it and eat it on our 1 year anniversary. Clearly, she underestimated the willpower of my sweet tooth. I ate the whole thing in a week. I highly recommend them for your baking needs!

This is a nice little coffee and bakery place. Theres a lot of seating, even during weekday morningg most of the tables are full. Theres a selection of coffee drinks, pastries, and other food items. Staff was pretty good and eager to assist.I got a coffee, egg/cheese croissant, and a cheese Danish. Although the pastry items are fresh and soft, the Danish could have used a little more sweetness to it. The croissant sandwich was fine, but also was not seasoned.But overall, this is a good try for something to drink/eat.

Lived above the coffee shop for 3 years and was a always enjoyed it. Cool employees and everything. Dont particularly like the lowlifes that they twigs rents out their coffee house for the AA meetings. But overall decent place.

Just moved to this part of town and desperately needed a coffee fix, so I was thrilled to find this place within walking distance. The polar mocha I got was delicious, and the menu sounds really good. Now, I obviously havent ordered a cake from them (yet) but the photos look phenominal. From beautiful wedding cakes to amazing kids cakes (an old fashioned deep sea diver with an octopus?!!) There is a serious artist working there. Everything in the bakery window looked AMAZING, especially for someone with a sweet tooth like me. Unfortunately, the last thing I need is easy access to cakes, (my fave) chocolate croissants or a $10 a day coffee habit, but I think thats the direction this girl is headed. I might be in trouble.

Twiggs has the best cake I have ever had anywhere! They made our wedding cake and they do an anniversary cake for us every year. So delicious! And I have never had a better buttercream frosting!

The sandwich bread is amazing. They use a spongy, firm bread for paninis that have a soft-on-the-inside, crunch on the outside effect, mostly on the bottom slice. These guys can definitely bake.

This place is great with the large exception that they allow cigarette smoking on their patio, Id go so far as to say they encourage it by providing ash trays. Used to me a go-to spot for me but Ill go back less now that Ive been disrupted so many times by someone smoking a few feet from me.

When I lived in San Diego I would visit this place almost daily with my son for 2 years. The staff new us and was always very kind to us I would stop by for my morning coffee and a muffin for my boy. Always attentive to us. Twigggs was kind of a low key kind of place. They would show local art work and sell a small amount of jewellery. It was a nice fun eccentric place to go with good food and coffee. I recently visited San Diego and decided to stop by my favorite local coffee shop and was sad to see that the entire staff has changed, they stoped selling local art, and seem to be going more hip. It did not have the same feel. But the food and coffee still taste good. I probably wont be coming back.
