Great coffee!!! Way better than Starbucks and better priced. The sugar free options for flavoring were great and the chocolate chip banana bread was heavenly! Wish I knew about this place before my last day in San Diego.

If I could have the last day of my life any way I wanted it - it would start with the smiles from this place - followed by a beverage, of any kind, made by the same people, whose ear to ear curvature has been the sunlight in my world - since the first time I met them. If you want to start your day differently, and meet the same individuals who will surely be welcoming you home to Heaven some day - go get your Java, Joe, Sumatra Get- Down from this place. You dont drink Coffee or Tea you say? Then go get a ice cold water and a dog biscuit for Capt. Fuzzy Buns, your Shitzbradoodle. Best bottled water and 🐕 bizcuit this side the Mississippi. Real Talk.....and besides,Anything else - is just ....not them.

This place is awesome. Reeses latte was bomb. Even an Americano Black was tasty. Super nice baristas, ultra helpful with recommendation. Easy to park and order. Went 3 times in 24hrs. Great place!

Just moved to the area and was looking for a local coffee shop. Found California Bean and I love it! The barista was super friendly. I ordered the White Lightning (their version of a Chai Tea Latte) and the parfait. The barista even gave me a run through of the parfait toppings to make sure I didn’t have any allergies. The coffee here is deliciously smooth. Will be going back and would highly recommend!

Was staying down the street at the La Quinta and walked here for some (good) coffee with our pups. It is an adorable little kiosk that was very busy! There is no seating so you grab and go but they offer fresh baked bakery items - we had the zucchini nut bread which was divine. Ordered a Mexican Mocha and a Caramel Latte. Both were excellent. The gal making the coffee was super friendly and made our drinks to perfection. Despite the crowd she was un-phased in there by herself and given her positive attitude nobody was going crazy waiting for their coffee.I love coffee, great coffee and this place served it up to us.PS - they had a doggy water bowl out which gave them extra points in my book.

Being an early morning riser from Maine, I was very pleased to find California Bean open at 530am, with fantastic attitudes and delicious coffee. Super nice folks and great offerings make for a top notch visit to start the day!

I was in need of caffeine and California Bean was a nice short walk from the hotel I was staying at.The coffee is delicious and the barista was so sweet to my son and I!☆☆☆☆☆Seriously, the Cold Brew has a nice, full, balanced flavor with little acidity.Wish San Diego had more places like this!

This was my first time there. Although i already knew what i was going to get prior to my visit, the staff was really nice and convinced me to getting the matcha latte. Overall, it was a lovely experience and it will definitely be my new go to since its just down the road from me.

Cute little outdoor coffeeshop in Old Town. The cold brew is nice and smooth. They have summer flavors which look good but havent tried yet. Also some pastries which are good.

Very very cool little spot. This place really needs a structure! I like their White Lightning chai/espresso with an extra shot. Very good and theyre always pretty chill. Good place to stop in on the way to work.

Lovely Beings of Cali Bean! I love all of the beverages and goodies here. The peanut butter oat bar is addictive. Cold brew, espresso, tea, chia tea with espresso, non caffeinated tea, they have it all and it is delicious. Nut milk options available. Well priced. Parking can be tricky at times, like am before work so plan accordingly.
