Not only does Barons have hard to find items, its super clean and the staff are knowledgable ... but the produce prices are regularly lower than VONS ... hows THAT for a surprise. Look at these photos ... how often is a store display so handsome you want to photograph it?

Great produce at a great price. This place has top drawer quality produce and a variety the box stores would never have. Check out the prepackaged salads. I eat them almost every day.

I’m a new plant based eater and they have a great selection of fresh fruits and veggies. I’m eating less meats and dairy too and they have a varied selection of alternatives, as well as a decent selection of frozen vegan stuff which is great. Their selections make it easy to stick to this diet. Staff are friendly and the store is clean! Great little market. Parking lot is really small, but honestly if you find spots nearby it’s worth it as I think it helps with how un-busy this location is.

The place is clean, great air conditioning, food reminds me of Trader Joe’s and Wholefoods. The workers are nice and the Hot food is flavorful. 😎

I had all of my groceries on the most suitable day and place for me. This shop was awesome! Their staff were very professional, respectful, and politely polite in answering my many questions. They accommodated my issues during the day in order to fulfill my grocery needs. This is the only grocery store to go to! Only take my word for it.

Place has a good layout. Most items you would need on the weekly are there which is cool. Has a good deli section too, with a solid cold bar and some soups. Has a real big booze section, which is alright, kinda takes away from having more food, especially since there are bars and breweries are all over north park, but not really groceries.

My favorite neighborhood market. Since I dont cook, it is the greatest help to be able to buy the ready made soups, salads, precooked exotic rice, roasted chicken, chopped fruit and so much more. Many organic options and great prices too!

In case anyone is wondering like I was what Barons looks like now in response to covid-19, I attached pictures from my visit on April 24th. Same store you love, just safer. All the self serve stations (snacks & grains, salad bar, soup station, etc.) have been packaged. It may cost a little more since you cant weight out a specific amount but everything is still there.

While they have shelf space for low carb bread - its impossible to get some fresh, its either out or sitting in the warehouse. It takes 6 tries to get ONE employee to walk in the back and check on it. Employees are completely disinterested in what customers need. Unacceptable for this high priced store.

Great little market with ample parking and good food and craft beer selection!

It was a very convenient location, great vibes and it opens up late which is a big plus. I found very unique healthy meals as well as ready to go.The temperature was good I usually freeze in other stores but it was quite enjoyable they have pots and plants at a corner with some displays are fancy cheese and some cutlery. Organic fresh juice is definitely something to look forward to if you need to grab a healthy lunch at a very reasonable price this is the place

Barons Market in North Park is always clean and enjoyable. Unfortunately they do not carry the item I was looking for, but the clerk who assisted me was respectful, friendly, and helpful. They limit the number of shoppers, which is wonderful. Always a great place to shop. ♡

So, dont get me wrong, this grocery store always has high-quality products, allowing consumers to pick from a range of unique foods. Surprisingly, they make a delicious soup! This grocery store comes highly recommended by me.

Service optimal! I never thought that this grocery store would be so helpful and useful to me. With my high hopes, they never disappoint me. As anticipated, all of my requests were delivered on time. This place is clean and neat but they don’t have many of the basic things you’d think to find in a market. For example they’ll have the fancy more expensive versions of things. 😆 but it’s all good and delicious and worth it. If you wanna get coughed at for cheaper prices drive to Walmart.

Im sure Ill be back. This is a great supermarket! Connoisseur treats are available that are nonchemical, chemical-free, or chemical-free. The meats are both delicious, as is the rest of the menu. Its possible that walking around this shop would make you want to eat out more and use your appliances more.

A one-stop convenient grocery shop. The things that I need were all intact in this shop. I am very grateful that I came to this awesome place because everything inside was good and perfect. No overpricing and any other issues compared to other grocery shops. A five-stars satisfaction rating all the way for them. Tremendous!

Went here with a friend once and was pleasantly surprised at the pristine cleanliness and organization of the goods. Found out its just a hop over on my way home from work and I love to pop in for the produce. Its on point!! Good prices and variety as well.

Always cleaned and well organized. Customer service is outstanding. Store layout its easy to find items. I like going there when I have a few things to buy.

They keep their liquor behind a locked panel. The cashier has to call over a manager, and they cant even ring it up while the manager takes the time to bring it over. The salad bar is fantastic.

The goods are of excellent quality, the shop is clean, and the workers are very supportive, friendly, and the prices are excellent! So its pretty good to be here!

Lots of great quality products, plenty of organic stuff, staples & specialties, all in a relatively small space. Impressive! And it is the most convenient grocery store I can think of (easy in & out from the freeway & ample parking). Great store!

I go to the Barons in Alpine usually and this location is a complete different experience. First of all, parking is an issue. It was difficult for me to find parking even it has two parking locations. The product selection is larger than the one in Alpine. I dont know is it a direct effect but I had to wait in line to get in. It was busier than the Barons I go to. Other than that, I always think its a neat local market if youre not interested in Trader Joes or want to try something new.

10/24/20: Bancroft/University San Diego, CA. God Bless you for keeping customer safety and comfort #1. Using the bathroom is not funny nor to be taken lightly. Due to covid, the scape goat of the world, public restroom are down to freeway gas stations and rest areas. Now, gas stations are refusing this valuable service. Ridiculous. I dove almost four miles away to get gas at a station that said they allowed customers to use their facilities. PLEASE SUPPORT BUSINESSES THAT SUPPORT YOU!!

This supermarket was lesser than the others. They had fresh fruits, vegetables, and meats. They also had a small foodcourt if you are hungry while shopping here. Theres a lot of products here!

Nice store. Good produce selection. Some produce is very affordable while other produce items and other items in the store are rather expensive.

Small neighborhood grocery store with limited selections. If you need only a few items this place is great otherwise it might be too pricey for regular groceries.Bonus for anyone with kids, they have family parking. Closer parking.. a great reason to have kids.

First off this is a bigger Barons then I am normally use to so thats great. What they have done new here is the Craft Coffee Section aka Local Roasters from San Diego! and you cant go wrong with their olive bar, salad bar and craft beer corner

We really love Barons North Park, very fresh produce, the best store brand breads (oooh Rosemary Garlic), and strong selection for Vegan and Vegetarian folks. Fantastic Beer, Wine, Kombucha selection as well. Though a small specialty store that doesnt have endless options, what it does carry is the best.

They have very different foods then other stores pay allot more but worth it been looking for a item walking by fairly there it was blowing away great price bought 3 of them also frozen seafood mix gooooód cook fresh galicia butter parsley little tiny white wine then thin noddle 8 minute dinner for 2 ha for dessert jillian apple pie strawberry rhubarb my frav.but have all types of apples with deffernt crusts frozen or fresh about 10 hot soups slot of packed salads Im always looking for new high protein foods saw cheese wraps with I thought fresh turkey avo totomto leave of roman them I saw red and orgngre peppers in oil thought there small slice them there sweet ones not spicy or pickled I came home had one for dinner stuffed and about 20 grams of protein in a wrap. Then saw a Frozen pizza black ruffles wild mushrooms and mozzarella looks 😋

They have all the right stuff if youre looking for ready to eat meals or ingredients to make your own. They keep the store very clean.

They have a really great selection of stuff in their salad and soup bars. Everything looked so good. BE AWARE, THE SALAD COST ADDS UP QUICKLY. Before you know it, you have an $18 salad. Haha. The cashier was awesome. He was nice, pleasant and smiled the entire time. This was a great experience except for the insane amount of people shopping at 8pm on Monday night. I really could not believe there were so many people. You couldnt walk down the aisle without bumping into another cart or person.

Great selection of organic and non-organic produce and medium to high-end snacks (chips, ice creams, chocolates, craft sodas, etc). Everything is very reasonably priced, though the meats are a little pricey because theyre all organic, free range, or pre-seasoned, etc. Has the most well curated beer selection of any grocery store Ive been to in San Diego. Staff is always very friendly and Ive never had a problem finding parking in the lot out front or the attached parking structure.

They have a great beer and hard kombucha section.

I was recently kicked out of their store because I didnt have a mask on. The employee at the door greeted me and ushered me in. I spent about 15 minutes looking through their anemic selection. No one said anything to me. While I was standing in line, a rude young girl approaches me and asks if I have a mask. I told her I didnt have one. She said Youre going to have to leave to which I said but no one said anything at the entrance. She said there are signs at the door, but I didnt see the signs, as I was busy saying hello to the employee who was greeting people. This woman told me again to leave. I set my products down and walked out. A mature and educated worker would have allowed the customer to finish his purchase and remind him to wear one next time. Not this lady, she took her police powers too far. Thats the last time Ill enter that store.

Nice folks and great selection of speciality foods not otherwise available in the neighborhood. I find myself returning several times weekly trying out new items and some new favorites.

Awesome selection of good quality produce, great hot & cold bar, snacks on snacks on snacks, & a killer selection of craft cider! My only dislike is how EVERYTHING is in plastic now. Great grocery store for a quick stop & hard to find items!

It would be great if they had a designated area to bag groceries for those of us that continue to use our reusable bags, in that way you dont hold the line up, I had to wait 10 min behind a man who was bagging his groceries by the cashier.

Love barons, not a one stop grocery store, but they have items I simply prefer to anywhere else. Their bread is amazing, produce is top notch, soups are delicious (especially lobster bisque), gourmet cheeses and cured meats, and the olive bar is a salty and savory paradise! They also have a huge selection of local and not so local brews and wine! Perfect for the small things that make all the difference!

Lots of fresh fruits and vegetables, a small place with a lot of great food sources, a little bit of everything

They have an eclectic selection of groceries and produce. But the bets thing about this place is THEIR STEAK TACOS. I am a taco connoisseur and I never expected a cafe inside a neighborhood grocery store to have such impeccable tacos. I have been to Mexico and these tacos definitely measure up.

Love this place. Best roasted chickem in town for a mere $6. In my humble opinion, these roasted chickens are way better than Costcos salty garbage chickens. One dollar extra for way better quality. If its not yet clear, Im a big fan of their chickens

OK first off, I just wanted to say I just wanted to say that whoever the young lady is that is working at this very moment has seriously made my night. Upon me making several mistakes at the cashiers with my debit card, she still played it off and said that machine will trick you LOL. She made me feel totally calm while the line began to build (me being dramatic because of my anxiety) and was so welcoming and completely professional. Keep her because I couldn’t even leave the parking lot before writing this review. Thank you!

This is my personal review so dont take it to heart. Barrons is almost an exact copy of any trader Joes or to a lesser degree whole foods. I dont care for their limited selection and the high prices. But if you prefer to shop in green establishments and like organic options this place is for you.

Catering to the hippie, alternative medicine crowd. Mostly over priced but has decent variety compared to other local grocers.

New to North Park as replaced the former Fresh & Easy and is a positive replacement in my book. I have shopped at other Barons in the area over the years but there wasnt one close until this new one in NP. The store is clean, bright and well done inside. The selection of organic food is really good and the quality of the fresh veggies and meats has been excellent. They also as with other Barons have a large beer and wine selection, really large and well done on the beers. A real plus addition to the local food/beverage shopping choices.

This is my favorite supermarket in the area - no doubt. Barons has a wide selection of organic product locally grown. They have a salad/olive bar which is fairly reasonable as far as price. Samples are provided usually when we go (Friday evenings). An orange juice press is right there in the store making your orange juice right in front of you. Wide selection of local craft brews, a decent sized wine selection, and spirits as well. The staff members are always really helpful and seem like they really want to be there. Parking can be a pain, but thats just like anywhere in North Park. You might have to shark a spot out front or find a spot on the street. Security guard in the front keeps the peace. Great place to go shop, an especially great alternative to Vons if youre a North Parkian.

Lovely little store. Its kind of like a Whole Foods, Sprouts, and Trader Joes mixed together. Some items are a little more expensive than they might be at some stores but the prepared food options, beer variety, and cheese selection are wonderful without being too costly. Produce is fresh and of good quality yet reasonably priced. Parking is never an issue despite the size of the lot.

Great North Park grocery store. Lots of good produce and organic selection. Bulk items such as rice, flour, oats etc. Prepared food. Nice salad bar and soup bar.They sell wine good selection of craft beers and they also sell liquor.

Love the variety anf freshness of the store. Always clean. Salad bar always fresh. The only thing I would like to see change is the Rotisserie Chicken. I think it need to be cooked and seasoned more. I still give it a 5 star for everything else.

I enjoy coming here for the fresh organic produce and great beer selections. The salad bar is also well stocked with a great selection of fresh items. If you like cheese they have a wonderful assortment of cheeses from around the planet as well as right here in the US. I noticed they also have a different variety of apples on sale each week so your favorites are bound to be on sale sooner rather than later. If you like buying grains or snacks like chocolate covered espresso beans or dehydrated fruits by the scoop their bulk bins are well stocked. I think this market is pretty awesome and I am sure you will Too!
