These guys are great, squeezed me in as a walk-in and everyone is super knowledgeable and has great energy. More than just a tire standard tire change and they offer upgrades such as bead balancing and 90 degree stems without being pushy plus they have a comfortable and welcoming waiting area with coffee, water, motorcycle movies/mags and last but not least pool table. Reasonable protection plan .. this is will be my new permanent tire spot for sure!

First time trying out a tire shop in San Diego. Have had bad luck in past experiences with either timeliness or work done incorrectly so I’m always super skeptical but was recommended this place by a friend who used to live in SD. Prices were very fair and the fact that they offer the protection plan is great. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable and the actual work was done in less than 30 mins (rear tire change). I was very impressed with this shop and will be returning in the future!

I started going to 8 Ball almost one year ago and I wont go anywhere else for tires. They have helped me and my friends get back out on the road in the fastest, most professional and safest way possible.The weekend I discovered them I picked up a nail in my rear tire. Of course my friends and I planned to ride the next day, but the store I brought my rim/tire to said they wouldnt be able to get to it until after the weekend. The friend I was with suggested 8 Ball.When we got there they were pretty busy so I was already bummed they might not be able to get to it in time. However, the service advisor greeted me and after explaining my situation he told me that not only did they have the tire I needed, but they would have it on my rim within 30 minutes.The tire selection is pretty well stocked and their staff is well versed on each brand and model. Super friendly crew and awesome owner/manager. Check these guys out if you need a good price and quick-professional service.

The owner blew my mind with his knowledge and expertise on everything having to do with motorcycle tires. He legitimately pulled up the history and an itemized list from his head on the fly for a customer pertaining to what the customer wanted as far as size and style to make sure he got exactly what he wanted. I chopped it up after my purchase with the owner and he’s a down to earth, energetic, highly intelligent, funny guy. I will go nowhere else for my tires from now on and I recommend you do the same, you won’t regret it I promise!!6stars in my opinion!

This place cost me a front Avon cobra chrome and did not warranty their work. They improperly balanced it and it ended up with improper wear on the right side of the tire. They talked me into their stupid balance beads (stay away from emm). I took it in to see if they would make it right. They said they’d mount and balance my next for free. No thanks, I found a competent shop for my tire needs. I would highly recommend stay away from this place.

Super knowledgeable, tires prices are comparable to online. Options to Mount on bike, or just on rims. Plus a pool table to kill the time. But it only took an hour. Will come back.

The ONLY place to go for motorcycle tires!! Rob and the guys are passionate and knowledgeable when it comes to keeping your rubber fresh and sticky. I brought my Sportster here and they hooked me up! I also had them replace my brake pads. It felt like the whole shop really cared about my ride and my safety.....Great prices, great service and a great experience. Expect to wait about an hour to 90 minutes in their lounge while they work on your bike. Well worth it.

Went in to get new tires for my 2006 ninja 250. These guys were awesome, fast and professional service, even threw in a free rubber damper for my tank, i didnt even notice it until i took the tank off to actually replace the rubber damper i was missing and was pleasantly surprised to discover it was already there. The tires have been awesome too. Great service. Definitely would go back!

Daniel helped me get an even better tire than what I had in mind and that made me very happy because I told him I commute alot and use my bike as daily driver. It was a pleasure to drop by at 8 Ball to have the antique tires on my S4R finally replaced. Rob was super accommodating, professional and friendly. I needed new tires for my Harley VROD which were difficult to procure. I had placed an online order with a retailer 2 months prior but for reasons unknown, my tires never arrived. I had all but given up hope of getting, tires replaced in a timely manner, and I was particularly worried because the tread on my existing tires were almost bare. As chance would have it, I rode by 8 Ball Motorcycle and the helpful staff informed me that while the front tire was in stock, the rear one could be ordered and available in a few days. The order arrived in quick time and I made an early appointment to install them while I waited. The work was completed in just over an hour and was very satisfied. I especially liked that they provided key safety recommendations which were invaluable to a novice rider such as myself. I will definitely be taking my motorcycle back to 8 Ball for all future tire and brake service.

Its important that I share what a phenomenal experience I have had with this group.Im a relatively new motorcycle owner and as such had little experience with this process and though I have of course replaced tires on a car, I didnt know what to expect in an experience of replacing motorcycle tires.My interaction with 8 Ball began with an initial inquiry I sent late night via Yelp which was quickly responded to by the owner (Rob) at, get this, 3:31AM!! Tell me, who does this?! Who responds to a Yelp inquiry at 3:30AM?!I will say that my in-person experience which followed certainly paralleled my initial positive impression.I felt immediately at home walking into the waiting area turned lounge, complete with pool table, large screen TV (of course looping Why We Ride) and leather lounge chairs. A nice added detail was the wall-mounted motorcycle gear hanging racks.From the excellent check-in, diagnosis, and information sharing with Madigan to the exquisite interaction with with Rob, to the quick and expert installation by Chris, the experience was wonderful.The pricing was on par with what Id researched ahead of time and 8 Balls extended warranty option was equally fair and attractive.It will come as no surprise that I would, without hesitation, recommend these folks for your motorcycle tires - reasonable prices, solid people, great offering.

The lady who helped me, called me back with better prices and options. Was not expecting her to reach out to me and save me money. Her service surpassed my expectations. The rest of the team not only installed my tire, but they educated me on everything that was going to happen and gave me maintenance tips. Really happy to give them my money.

The place has options for every budget in house, totally comfortable waiting area with pool table. But more importantly the service area is clean, organized, and the crew is good at what they do. If I have a choice I’m coming back here every time.

Just went to 8 Ball this morning great, fast, professional service, and they were very educational took the time to educate me on tires and bikes since it is my first one. Im very impressed with the costumer service and the fast service. I scheduled an appointment and was taken in earlier and left early then the scheduled time. I was even educated about the service and even went through the inspection to show me that everything is good and ready to go.For any military member especially stationed at MIRMAR I definitely recommend this place. 5 Stars!

What a great experience. This was my first time here and I was treated like an old friend. No one mentioned that Id shown up 10 minutes late (honestly, Id gotten a little lost on the way there); they just welcomed me in and made me feel at home.Rob and the staff were fantastic. Not only were they fast (really fast) and courteous, they were also down to earth and willing to talk about bikes, gear, life, or just about anything in between. Everything was clean and the staff were wearing masks for safety in these Covid times. 5/20/21 THIS PLACE IS AWESOME!!!! Got my tires for my HD Street Glide here at 8 Ball Motorcycle Tires of San Diego. From the phone inquiry for a quote Rob was very friendly, courteous, and professional. He work with my schedule to get the bike in the shop and made very good recommendations. When I got there, he greeted me by name, which shows that they are prepared for providing the service. Rob inspected my bike throughly and explained some knowledge about tires and riding. Then, after deciding what tires to get he gave me a price which I think was awesome (even got a rebate$$) because after stopping by and calling several Tire shops, 8 Ball was in the middle range. Because some shops that I went to was cheap but looks a little shady, the dealer on the other hand was charging me a leg, arm, torso...etc... After, they took the bike at the garage, Rob told me that it will take an hour and thirty minutes to do both tires. He then offered me coffee and put on a movie for me at their lounge which was awesome (Big TV, sound system, magazines, coffee station, and a Billiard Table). Chris was the mechanic that work on my tires and it did not take an hour and thirty minutes, but just shy of an hour which was also awesome!!! They even check my brakes and reassured me that it was in good shape. Thanks Chris!!! Then, Matt(i think was his name) gave me a run down of the repairs and some final information. Rob also gave me an information for a mechanic to check my clutch, I went there after the repair and they told me that the brake and the belt are adjusted properly(Thanks again Chis!) All in All, for me this is The BEST place to get your tires anywhere in SD!! A VERY SATISFIED CUSTOMER HERE!! Keep it up 8 Ball!!! Great Job!!!

I’m really glad I chose 8 ball motorcycle tires. They have a great selection of tires for many bikes and they provided me with helpful information about each tire they had in stock for my Yamaha v star like which threading would last me longer or which tire grips better in the rain etc. Under the circumstances I was in today I had to bring my bike on a u haul and they even helped me unload the bike off the ramp. In the past I’d shop around online for tires, have them delivered to my house then haul them to my regular MC shop then go through the install along with dealing the service writer. 8.ball tires is located in an industrial complex 2 buildings away from fun bike center.They stock motorcycle tires and scooter tires.I recently had a flat tire and the motorcycle shop i took it to said 4 days wait as the tire was a special order due to the 14inch rim.5 days go by and it hadnt been ordered .I called every dealer i could find and nobody had one.Then I found 8 ball tire and they had one.The guy said we close at 6 but get here by 5.30 well put it on for you.i got there a little late and he was still willing to do it.I bought a guarantee on nail punctures that I think is a good deal at 20$ and the total was still 23$ cheaper than the motorcycle shop.This place is a great find. If they dont have the tire you want theyll get it fast.The manager there knows his job and would never make a mistake like. the. One i encountered. Tires are their business so they will have the lowest prices you can find.

It’s not often I leave a review, but 8 Ball Tire went above and beyond for me so I felt I owed it to them. My back tire blew out going down the 163, brought it into 8 Ball for replacement. They let me leave my bike until I could come back to get it (stuck at work during open hours). Evan did the dirty work and Rob gave me an education on tires. I left with a brand new tire, and some new learned knowledge. Happy I chose 8 Ball!

Very Professional experience they were really knowledgeable and extremely helpful. I brought my first bike over because my friend recommend this place for tires, they took me in short notice and while they were changing my tires they noticed my brakes on my rear tire and my brake fluid were in bad condition. They talked me through my options and helped me picked the best one for me. The mechanic was very knowledgeable and very fast with everything done with my bike. Would highly recommend and I got a free hat!

Im sorry for my initial two-star review, but Im happy it lead to finding a shop I can trust (which is so important to me). Will recommend to everyone I know.*Old Post:Ever since bought tiers here my bike cant hold air in either front or back tire. Took it back and they said the rim bead was dirty and not making a seal. Shouldnt you clean the bead before you install a new tire? Had them clean the bead for $50-$75 a tire. Still cant hold air. For the amount of money you pay for tires and install you would think theyd make sure the the rim was prepared before installing a new tire.

Rob was very accommodating despite my tardiness, and Doctor Dread (am I spelling that right?) had my tire changed in no more than 30 minutes, if not less. Punctual service at a very reasonable price. Couldnt be happier. Highly recommend!

8 ball motorcycle tires are the best place to go for motorcycle tires. They do tires and brakes and thats it and thats why they are the best. Competitive pricing, quick turn around, and super friendly staff. Labor is basically $50 per tire. Great stock on hand. They had the tire I needed and was able to turnaround in less than hour. Will definitely be coming here for all my future motorcycle tire needs.

Called in to get a quote and service representative was very clear on the costs to expect, what was needed, what is optional (and value it brings if chosen), and what to expect the day of service.Process to schedule was very easy and straightforward on their well-designed website.Service was fast and they have a well maintained and welcoming facility.Post-install, had an issue with my wheel alignment seeming off to me (used the balancing beads but tires felt too bouncy/unstable at higher speeds), and they were more than willing to help me out.Overall, 8 Ball Motorcycle Tires of San Diego exemplifies a proactive approach to do great work and keep their customers happy. All of their staff that I interacted with were very personable, courteous, and professional.I would recommend this shop to anyone looking for new tires in the San Diego area.
