Gave a brief description over the phone of my issue (a hole rotting in my exhaust pipe), and was told to bring it in whenever I get the chance - love that! Fantastic service from an out-of-the-way shop. I called Friday morning about getting a custom 3 cat-back exhaust on my 1987 Supra, and while they didnt have the Magnaflow muffler I needed in stock, they spent a decent amount of time on the phone helping me out, and gave me a suggestion of where I could go out in town to pick one up. I grabbed it the very next Saturday morning, then drove over, and they slotted me in for a full custom cat-back that same day, about 2 hour turnaround.Price was very fair, and the tech knew what he was doing. Managed to get the piping down to a mere 2 bends, which only means better flow. Highly recommended, and already let them know Id be in touch if I need any more exhaust work done.If youre trying to go in on Saturday, from the man himself: make sure to call a day or two in advance, he might already have scheduled work.EDIT: Just as another example of how theyll go out of their way, they actually looked up my car with their supplier to see if they could get ahold of CARB-compliant aftermarket parts for cat-forward modification, and actually found some Magnaflow products (that I frankly didnt even know existed). Almost certainly will trust them with the install if I end up getting those.

I called Carlos regarding a muffler delete for my V6 Challenger. He told me it would be a waste of money and instead to look at a FlowMaster Super 10 Series. Three days later, I call to see if I can come in and get a quote, and despite not making an appointment, he fit me into his schedule and walked me through the process of what he was going to do. He also recommended replacing the old/rusting piping as well. He quoted me a price and it was hundreds of dollars cheaper than other muffler shops in the area. I agreed and he got to work on it, and I was in and out in an hour. Additionally, he said the cutting work in the bumper was unsightly and that he’d fix it, free of charge. He’s a person of integrity, quality, and he’s definitely passionate about what he does. I’m going to him for anything I need done on any of my future cars. Great guy, service, and overall experience!

Carlos is a genuine top of the line guy. I called in for my V6 Challenger about making it sound like a V8, didnt know much or what I needed and he blew me away with all kinds of information. He called about one to say he had done some shopping around and was able to get one right away and a hundred bucks cheaper. Called and asked about a muffler delete on my 2015 Camaro. I was able to come in 30 minutes later and got a great price for the muffler delete and new exhaust tips. Only took about an hour, definitely coming back if I need any more work done.

Came in with a check engine light he replaced the catalytic converter. Next day had an exhaust leak so I brought the car back to him he said he thought it was a cracked exhaust manifold leak. I personally changed the manifold and it didnt fix the leak. In the process of changing the manifold I found the issue he welded the flange to the manifold on crooked and it was causing it to leak. I then had to go to another shop to have that corrected. Cherry on top he said he replaced the exhaust metal donut bushing and he didnt it was an old one. All in all dissatisfied. Charged me 495$ I then spent 300$ on a manifold I didnt need based on his recommendation and then spent 150$ on a diffrent shop to fix his work.

Coming into this store with my BMW 325 CI 2002 asking for a muffler delete with a straight pipe including with black tips. It was beyond of my expectations he delivered such good quality and lots of time taken care of it I would trust this shop to anyone to get their exhaust done old or new models satisfied with the results it sounds more aggressive than before.

In a search for Muffler shops around San Diego, I noticed ACE was the only one with 5 stars, 0 complaints; out of 47 reviews.I went in to have them install my magnaflow black series exhaust on my 17 Silverado. They did not disappoint! Carlos and Henry were fast, professional and most of all HONEST! Carlos mentioned near the end that the manufacturer made the pipes a little too short and that he honestly didnt think it would look good with the clamps. I asked what he could do and he said he would recommend ditching the clamps, welding on the tips and painting the welds black to match the pipes/tips. Original quote was 175, came to 215 with his recommendation ($20/weld). I could not be happier with the service, my truck sounds amazing and would highly recommend these guys!!

Had to get my exhaust repaired due to a pothole. Just some replacement was necessary. Was given more than I expected and got my exhaust tips realigned and now it looks and sounds better than ever. I went with black tip for my black Q50, which clashed with the silver piping under my car. He left to buy heat resistant black paint and painted the tubing he install free of charge so it look perfect. A1 customer service. My muffler fell off and I obviously needed a new one. I looked him up and I seen that he had five star reviews which Im kind of skeptical of, fortunately this is one of those five star reviews that actually came through.

I own a 2002 Dodge Ram 5.9 liter and did not know what type of exhaust to put on my truck all I know is I wanted it to sound healthy and clean. Carlos recommended a flow master 40 series and explained all the ups and downs and what I want and didnt want in an exhaust system.also how loud or not as loud as I wanted it. I drove in at 4 pm to ask a question knowing they closed at 5 pm. Right away they answered my question and completed the job in only one hour while I waited. Very fair pricing and skilled, amiable employees. My exhaust kit did not fit as it should have, but these guys had no issue getting it to fit like it was from the factory. They did a thorough leak check, and fixed any that they found. Additionally, since I converted my car from single to dual exhaust, they did an absolutely fantastic job of cutting a new slot in the bumper, making it identical to the other side, and putting trim on both sides. They are very detail oriented, if you take your car here it will be done right. They also told me several times that if my car experienced any issues afterward I could bring it back for them to fix it. There were several other nice cars here, some worth north of 60,000, and many everyday cars, meaning they have plenty of experience with cars of all kinds.

Amazing Exhaust Shop. The crew was super helpful and knowledgeable. They straight piped my 1993 Ford F250 XLT with a 3 pipe with a nice chrome tip. It took roughly an hour and half for a low cost of about 250. Pristine welding jobs and makes my truck purr at WOT. Highly recommend with a waiting room inside.

I am extremely pleased with the muffler replacement and tailpipe repair that was completed yesterday. My old MG required a custom fix to a broken tailpipe and rusted muffler. The job was completed expertly in under 30 minutes and at a reasonable cost.

Ace Muffler saved me at least $2,300 dollars. The Toyota Dealership of Poway was asking for $2,400 to replace the exhaust, muffler and oxygen sensor. I got a second opinion at Ace, and they took the time to show me explain broken pipe and explain the problem, then went ahead to make a new piece to fix the pipe for less than $100 in less than an hour. Lesson learned - dealerships are very expensive. Ace is great!

Awesome shop, installed a muffler Delete on my bmw, just a little more pricey then other shops buts that’s only because he recommends tips and a lot of the other shops don’t they just leave the pipe and it looks trashy on a luxury sport sedan, he also knows about j pipes which helps eliminate some drone and not many other shops or people know about it, basically you get what you pay for in knowledge and workmanship.

A shop is only is as good as its Owner and its employees so here is why I give this shop owner and shop a 10 star out of 5 star review.I have an 18 year old car with 206,000 miles and I love it. Its an E class Mercedes Benz AMG w210 with a flutter noise from the driver side catalytic converter area that is progressively getting worse.I am looking to diagnose the cause and reach a cost effective solution to the noise problem, which may or may not be the catalytic converter.My dealer in Escondido wants to replace all 4 cats to the tune of over $6,000 but doesnt tell me why its gone bad.My local auto repair guy puts it up on the car jack and wants to weld it for $260 for a short term fix and will take a few days since they are so busy and doesnt diagnose the root cause of the problem. He doesnt seem really interested in doing this job.I take it to the Yelp 4.5 star place in Little Italy and they dont want to weld the seam at the back of the catalytic converter where it meets the straight exhaust pipe thats causing the fluttering noise. The owners brother says its because they may lose their license if they touch the Cat. Well, meows me, nobody wants to do anything illegal and lose their license. The owners brother wants to install aftermarket cats which I am fine with, but first wants me to buy the sticker for the engine family from the dealer showing what type of catalytic converter it is, but doesnt get back to me about the quote for the front brake job, despite having the word Brake and Depot in their business name and the job being worth over $450. The business prominently displays catalytic converter on the front of their business, but I am a unique case since its an MB AMG that the owners brother is dealing with. The owners brother wont weld the back seam to the cat that is causing the exhaust leak and noise and wants to sell me a new muffler as well instead of welding the muffler that has a crack in it. I am not given a root cause for the problem of the seam coming apart that is causing the exhaust leak. I am told my brake rotors are at the end of their life and need to get replaced. No measurement was taken by any instrument to come to this decision. Granted he didnt charge me for his insights and advice, but I was left with an uneasy feeling when I left.I keep searching Yelp, and find Ace Muffler. I call and set an appointment to go see Carlos the owner of Ace Muffler and he tells me they have been around for 55 years and its family run and all they do is mufflers and exhaust and cats and tell people the truth as they see it.Carlos puts my car up (I was pleasantly surprised to see the owner work like he did) and in under an hour gets the welds done on the driver side front cat had opened up at the back of it and the crack at the rear of the muffler. Mind you this is an AMG Mercedes Benz. $115 and car runs like new. Pictures and video included with this review.Carlos was also the only person to tell me why the cat seam had opened up. Its because of my motor mounts are worn out and after reviewing my service records and MB forums, it turns out he is absolutely right.Thank you Carlos for your honesty, integrity and expertise in knowing the cause and resolving my exhaust leak, you are the man! May you have many more customers at least half as satisfied as me.
