I had the smoothest, no pressure, best ever car buying experience here. Ask for Terry. Hes amazing! The entire staff is extremely friendly.
They had the best service. Went to get a car for my cousin and they had the exact color and model with package he wanted. We just drove back with the car in literally 2 hours.Contact Clay of you want the best service !!!I would confidently recommend this place to anyone for speedy and prompt service.
Travis, our Service Advisor, was personable and competent. He managed our warranty repair very quickly, ordered the part as soon as the diagnosis was complete. The parts replacement was quick. We had our Subaru back in an amazing 24 hours.
As a service center, they did a great job diagnosing indicator lights and things, quickly and promptly, so we didnt have to stay overnight on our road trip.
Everyone is very knowledgeable, attentive, and kind. I highly recommend this dealership if you are looking into a Subaru
Very awesome experience and my Service advisor Anthony made it fast and easy 👍
I just traded in One Subaru for a new 2021; this is my fourth Subaru. There service is superior! My salesman Liam was low-key and an excellent go-between with the financial dept. I paid an excellent, fair price! Service has also been stellar!!! I added one feature and was generously given credit for it. For 2 years I’ll receive oil changes and tire rotations. I have bought all of my Subaru’s from Rancho Grande. They consistently extend quality product and trustworthy personal service on all of my vehicles. It’s a pleasure doing business with them!
Friendly, knowledgeable, and I got a great priced vehicle. Randy patiently, answered all questions, and I highly recommend him for your next car purchase. The manager was awesome too. I left a very happy, and satisfied customer. Thanks a million Ericka
I own a 2015 CrossTrek. I did not buy it here. I bought it used somewhere else. Ive now had my car here twice to get serviced. The first time was for a recall which was handled last summer. They handled that very well and efficiently. My latest encounter with these guys was because my car had a small leak under the engine (looked like oil). I called and got scheduled easily enough. Today I dropped the car off early this morning with the service advisor, Steve. By noon he already called that it was done. I was so relieved that all that was wrong with the car was a worn out oil drain gasket. I did have to get an oil change, but it needed one anyway. Car was returned running well and now Im leak free. Thanks Rancho Grande Subaru.
We just bought my dream car from Rancho Grande and I can not speak highly enough about everyone we worked with. Heath and Scott made the transaction so quick and easy that my husband was inside signing papers and I was able to relax outside with my two kids. We got exactly what we wanted and they worked with us to make it happen. If I could I would give 10 stars. Great job gentlemen!
Had a great car buying experience!!! Clay was very knowledgeable about the car he was selling which is rare. If you want a Subaru go see Clay. You wont be disappointed.
Thank you Terry! Great e perience ordering and buying our new Subaru Crosstrek
Great experience! I do not like to be sold. I new what I wanted, Jimmy covered everything and didnt rush their process and explained everything. Then we got with the sales manager and the deal really kicked into overdrive. We were in and out, with a new car in less than 2 hours. AND ITS A SUBARU!Thanks a lot guys, I appreciate your support and efficiency.
3 batteries dead in 2 years, and the staff still insists on taking advantage of my parents willingness to trust each time they go in and they apparently are clueless unless details are relayed one by one. Was promised 2nd key & tire voucher. At time of sale, was only able to get key after months and hours with customer service. This dealership gives Subaru a bad name.
I took my truck to the dealer for an oil change when I received it back I noticed when it was running that the fan was hitting something behind the front grill? I called and I was told did you look at it? Why would I remove anything in the engine to see what my fan was hitting? I couldnt see since there is a plastic cover over the fan. He told me to bring it in and he would check it out. I thought since I have a recall for my block heater I would bring it in. When I dropped off the vehicle I told Omar that I was concerned with what was rubbing or hitting and for him to make sure everything was ok. My husband picked up his truck later that day and spoke with Omar regarding the fan rubbing and if it was ok, Omar said everything was fine and was put out that my husband was asking such questions. The next morning my husband was driving to work to have the coolant light come on at 4am and say add coolant. I called Rancho Motors to question if they checked the fluids and why the light went on. Oh yeah, that happens with the recall. Just bring it back in and we will top off the fluids, it might happen a few times. I dont just live around the corner, I live 20 miles away to visit this shop. When i told him I could not drive back again and again he said just go to your nearest store and refill the fluid, I said are you kidding me! What do I get, where do I put it! I asked for the Manager, Cory. He apologized again and again, he said let me make this right. My husband got home and opened the hood of the truck to see a couple of fan blades that had chips out of them. We were livid, Omar lied. I called Cory to tell him what we saw. They picked up the truck the next day and installed a new cooling fan and shroud. When they returned our truck 5 days later they ran it thru the car wash only to find the front bumper, grill and hood full of grease. When we got inside the truck we found that they didnt even wipe it down (hello covid) there were fingerprints all over the dashboard, doors, seats and not even floor mat paper to protect the mats. I called Cory to let him know and he said thank you, I will make sure it doesnt happen again. I will not be going back to SLO Rancho Motors, I will be going to Santa Maria GMC.
Bought a 2021 Outback from them love the vehicle. Staff was great and real quick.
Service department is very unprofessional and they will attempt to overcharge you. Latest poor experience (of many) was them saying that they are too busy to even diagnose the reason I can hear something making a noise while making sharp turns. Almost wouldn’t even put in new headlights during an appointment I made because they are “too busy”.
Had a great experience with clay a few months ago, picked up a sweet 2020 outback and got a nice deal. All in all professional, prompt service. Very happy with the vehicle.Thank you!
I took my Buick to Ranchi Grande SLO when my Passenger window quit working. I was quoted an outrageous price after being told it needed to be programmed, specialized this and that, on and on as my eyes started to glaze over. I decided to not have it repaired there. I got busy, then Covid and just recently had it looked at by a local mechanic Who is doing a tuneup for me. I asked him about the window. He looked at it reconnected one wire and it was fixed. Humm. It was so easy he did not charge me for it. There’s nothing worse than Feeling ripped off by a used car sales lot. I would never do business there again. They are not trustworthy.
Standard oil service and they attempted to overcharge. I had a scheduled appt for an oil change and the service guy quoted me $113. I let him know that seems awful high and higher than my last visit. He shrugged it off and said he will look into it. While waiting, I checked their website and it clearly states $100. To add injury to insult, I opened my Subaru mailer and noticed they were offering $10 off $100 oil change service. I let someone know before paying that $113 isnt the advertised price and he honored $100 The excuse was something about the website not being updated yet. One cant help but wonder if they do this to all female, or all customers.
When you hear horror stories about dealerships one kind of cringes that you never would experience an encounter with one but I have a story to tell. We co-signed for my sons 1st car - a used Red 2017 WRX, when we purchased the car we wanted our son to feel safe so we purchased an extended 100k warranty for $1895. The car had around 43K miles on it when we bought it. On January 27th the car had engine failure at 63K & towed to the nearest Subaru dealership - Rancho Grande Motors. Our contacts were Hugo service writer & Chris Service Mgr. After a couple of days when the car was towed I called to find out what was wrong with the car & when the repairs were going to be made. We were told metal shavings were discovered after they pulled the oil pan & that they needed our permission for an engine tear down which was $2500 - just to tear it down & if we didnt want to pay for the repairs it would be another $2500 to put everything back: Oh, but wait another option was suggested - if we didnt want them to put everything back they could throw all the parts in the trunk !!!! But another aspect was thrown at us - Hugo suggested that my son tampered with the car or modified it. I cant make this stuff up - this is what we are being told. Finally, after another 2-3 days go by Hugo tells us someone is coming from the warranty company to look at the car. After another 4-5 days go by Hugo asks for service records - oil changes which I give them. Another 3-4 days go by (Feb 11th) and finally we get an answer - They deny the warranty repairs for ENGINE FAILURE for the following reasons. Lack of proper maintenance (Last synthetic oil change done on car was 12/26/20 by a Valvoline Oil station- exactly 30 days after car broke down) next excuse was misalignment & suspension problems I kid you not (see pictured below) Lets go back though, Hugo suggested my son modified the car & he pulls what they call an IUMPR report which he also sends via email - he suggests the info he pulled off this report kind of confirms his thoughts. I get this report & ask my brother Dan for advice, my brother works for another car company as an engineer and he tells me the report is only a partial & when I asked for the full report I Hugo tells me there is no more. After all this has transpired I totally get fed up and call the dealership where we bought the car - its 177 miles away. This particular dealer has the car towed for us back to where we bought it & loans my son a car at no cost. My son was renting a car to go to work for 3 weeks @$185 week. I would never, ever, buy or service a car at Rancho Grande Motors after what this dealership put us thru. They are a Subaru dealership, they represent the brand but they acted in a way its hard to imagine unless it actually happened to you. Meanwhile, my sons car will be repaired with the warranty we purchased - its like they didnt care at all about us & made up stories along the way, Oh, yea the service manager, Chris I talked to once during this whole charade, communications were absolutely horrible here - if u doubt it call the service dept. and you will get put on hold 90% of the time.
Highly personable, professional, and proficient.. staff.. and owner.. I will Highly Recommend Rancho Grande Motors.. to anyone I know that is looking for a new, or new- to them vehicle.Best, Clark A Small
A superior product they offer; however, with that being said, they sponsored a dicey process for acquisition full of chicanery and browbeating. In the ending, however, the result was tolerable. Their cars are superior vis-a-vis other makes in the same price range. If you can withstand the changes their personnel put you through, the outcome is worth it. Look Clay and the finance manager on the Cadillac side up. It will lessen your stress immensely.
So 1 star gives way more than they deserve. Not in any covid compliance at all. Be aware. Workers walking into building without a mask and coughed before putting on a mask.
This place has me so torn. I so badly want to like our Subaru and the overall brand that Subaru is, but after dealing with this dealership, that has failed to uphold customer service time and time again, I dont think i would ever purchase a Subaru again. I cant tell if its the overall brand or if its Rancho Grande Motors specifically, but their approach has left us felling like we hate our Subaru and sharing that hate with anyone that is willing to hear it.Bought a car three years ago and of course, it has an oil consumption issue. Burns oil so much, that we have to top it off multiple times between oil changes. How is that normal?? I have never owned a car that required so much oil. Yet, their staff insists that its normal maintenance.So... we are at the dealership way more than we want to be. Ran multiple test on the vehicle and of course, it doesnt burn enough oil to be deemed a problem. (they set the standards for what enough burned oil is). How does that work? And to top it all off, they have horrible service. Make you feel like you its your fault and that its you that has an issue, not them (Subaru).Im sure its coming from the top, but it doesnt make car owners feel good at all. Its time to list this damn thing and never look back.Moral of the story... Subaru has a great image, but its just the cover. Especially at Rancho Motors.
I took in my Subaru Outback to have them look at possible leak. They took the car right away. And though it on a rack with no questions asked very helpful.!!!!. They were able to spot whats going on with my car right away and direct me for the parts department fit my needs with parts and service. I recommend talking to Raul
After some routine maintenance, paperwork said all four tires were set to correct pressure. A couple of day later, low tire pressure warning light came on. All four tires were low! Clearly, they did not check.Explained that we sometimes see blue smoke on cold start with our brand new Ascent. Their responses ranged from never heard of that to oh thats normal with an explanation that makes no sense if you know the basics of how an engine worksI only bring my vehicles there if I have to (recalls, etc). I always leave feeling frustrated that the service writers are being evasive or are unknowledgeable.
Took my 2018 ATS in for routine service (oil change, tire rotation, and inspection). Representative suggested changing brake fluid (it was pretty dirty) as well as cleaning fuel injectors based on miles. Entire service took 2 hours. Very friendly, as usual, and very professional. Im always confident taking my car to RGM!
Based upon my experience purchasing a used vehicle here, I would recommend them.
Dale in parts dept was very helpful and courteous.
My wife and I were returning from Santa Barbara to San Francisco from a weekend wedding. We stopped by to check out the Crosstreks that Rancho Grande had, to compare them to those we had been looking at closer to SF.It was near closing time but Pete our sales guy was super friendly and really happy to show us around and take us for a test drive. We fell in love with a hyper blue Limited Crosstrek. Although we were several hours and several hundred miles from home, it was just too good of a deal to pass up. We shuffled over our suits, dresses, champagne and other party attire and drove home in a new car.10 out of 10, would buy from Rancho Grande and Pete again.
VERY BAD WORK. i recently bought a used 2016 forester from their dealership and when i picked it up from the dealership they have informed me that the car would be DETAILED and would be ready to drive home. upon the drive home i realized that they DIDNT detail the car AT ALL there was ALOT of dog hairs everywhere! FRONT passenger seat, e brake, back seats, carpet, trunk area, and even some on the dash!!! and after driving it i noticed that alignment on the car was off as well!!! after complaining about these issues they recommended that i come bring my car on my day off so that they may fix these problems. when taking it in they said that it will be about 2 hours to do everything but after getting my car back i quickly realized that the car had NOT BEEN DETAILED AT ALL!!! they didnt even give it a car wash and when driving it home noticed that the car still wasnt aligned!!!! WHAT DID THEY DO TO MY CAR FOR 2 HOURS!!!! after complaining about the same problems AGAIN they recommended that i come in to fix the problems AGAIN!!!! IF YOU GET YOUR CAR SERVICED THERE DOUBLE CHECK THE WORK THEY ASSURED ME MY CAR WAS ALIGNED BUT WAS CLEARLY NOT!!! when bringing in my car THE SECOND TIME WITH THE SAME PROBLEMS they told me that it would take about 4 HOURS. After getting my car back i noticed that the car still had about 10% of the dog hair as before i brought it in but after being told that my car was going to be detailed on 3 separate occasions i would expect it to be perfect but sadly was not!!!! but at least the alignment was finally fixed!!! i gave them my car for a total of 6 HOURS to get it detailed and have a proper alignment and only one problem was really fixed!!!! but they did give me half a gallon of gas for driving there TWICE each 1 1/2 hour drive there and back. i am pretty sure i spent more gas trying to get the problem fixed then they gave me for compensation. but randy ( the salesman) told me my manager is busy in a meeting but will give you a call when he is done to help resolve these issues and will probably get in contact with you before you even get home i am pretty sure that after waiting alittle more than a week and a half that i am probably not gonna be receive a call to resolve my issues. The service was friendly but whats the point if they arnt gonna get your problems solved. Ive bought from other dealerships and never received service as bad as this. GREAT experience while buying the car but there is a huge disconnect after you actually buy it.
Very shoddy work. Avoid if at all possible. I took my Outback in for recall work to update some software. They left the dashboard completely unassembled. Was going to make me wait five days for another appointment. Two trips for something minor, imagine if it had been something major. One star is too many.
HAD ROUTINE OIL CHANGE AND SERVICE, NO PROBLEMS. EVERYONE WAS COURTEOUS AND PROFESSIONAL.
Was on road from Oregon when I had problems with my 05 GMC Sierra 2500 as it was blowing heat on passenger side and cold air driver side. Called while on road and made an appointment. After inspection they had part need on hand ( for an 05 I was amazed) and they started repair that day. Staff were very helpful and explained all in detail without any un-expected surprises. After all said and done, it was actaul $5.00 cheaper than estimate. Thanks to Cory Vegas for taking care of this. Excellent Job!
Heath was great and not at all a pushy salesman! He let us test drive anything we wanted, and helped us experience all the great things about Subaru. Would definitely buy from him again!
Great. As well as Subaru as a brand. Customer service is top Notch.
Drove from Orange County to buy my Accent from this dealer. Joe and his team made everything fast and easy.
Great service! Fair price! Really friendly crew! Shuttle to and from makes it easy. They also took care of a recall item I didn’t know about, all during the same visit.
Went in for an oil change with an appointment. It took a little bit longer than I expected it to (a little over an hour), but I was very impressed with their customer service. Employees were very friendly, and I saw a couple of them take time to chat with an older woman who had clearly been going to that location for some time and wanted to talk and catch up with them
Fantastic service! Very friendly and helpful from the first call to schedule. Feels like I am coming to visit friends when I drop off and pick up my car. The shuttle service is big plus.
I came in with a flat tire first thing in the morning and they took great care of me. Steven made sure my tire was fixed in a timely manner and kept me updated throughout the entire process. And they even washed my car! Great experience overall.
Friendly staff eager to help
Gil was GREAT to work with, even coming in on his day off to help us finalize our purchase. We got a fair deal on a nice used Denali. Even though we live out of the area, Id drive the 300 miles top work with Gil again. The only downside was the dealership checking our credit twice when preparing our financing. Those hard inquiries are hard on credit scores.
I was disappointed. I wont come back. The service is not even close to the quality that it was when I bought my Outback new at the same dealership.
Cant say enough good things about the excellent service, high quality of care, and warm personability of every person I was in contact with at Rancho Grande Motors. My first time there on a rainy morning and, of all things, I turned in front of their sign instead of going to the end of the short street. Called the office and Andrew talked me out of the wrong business and into theirs, and stood outside waving me in. What a guy! Peter took my car and he and his team tuned it to perfection, and Jan drove me to and from work. Think Im a little in love. My experience with everything - from the attractively comfortable office/waiting room, to the good people who keep such a high standard - left me feeling happy for the rest of the day. And! My car is running like new. Thank you, Rancho Grande Motors!!
Although I find reviews helpful especially in first time situations, I seldom make the effort to submit one.I say this to make clear just how positive our experience was, beginning with a pleasant call to make an appointment for the first service visit and the repair of the air conditioning system of our 2015 Subaru Forester. The appointment was scheduled at our convenience. The Service Advisor was Tyler Sturgell who was thorough, professional and a great communicator. The first service visit was comprehensive, complementary and a pleasant experience for us with Rancho Grande Motors. Our vehicle was returned to us promptly with a sincere apology for the need to order a AC fluid line from Subaru which required a return visit. The part arrived in three days and was installed under warranty the next day. On both visits the our car was detailed including the tires. The AC now runs flawlessly. More important is my belief that any future issues will be resolved in the same professional manner.
Update: they seem to overbook. Too busy and stressfulI purchased a used Cadillac from another dealer which has needed a bit of work. Ive been very pleased with the work they have performed as well as the ease in finding the issues and correcting them. Cory, the service writer is always friendly and knowledgeable. The courtesy rides are frequent and pleasant.
Our 2016 Outback seemed to be having an electrical issue for the first time at about 35,000 miles. Periodically would not start -- acting like the battery dead. We had to jump-start it three times just before we were to leave on a trip of about 2500 miles, in the Winter. We took it into Rancho Grande Service Department to try to find out what the problem was. They actually did not find the issue, but replaced the original battery (which still tested very well - actually above expectations), with a stronger battery.I actually believe the electrical issue is still with us, as evidenced by the fact, that about 200 miles into the trip, the electric clock on the instrument panel, froze at a given time. At about 75 miles after the clockfroze, we stopped for gas. I turned the engine off, and as a test, started the car again. No problem starting, and the clock was reset. Re-booting worked, but if we have a situation as occurred when the problem mentioned in the first paragraph above occurred again, we would need to jump start it.However, whether the electrical issue is still with us or not, I believe theService Department did what they could do, and that is appreciated. I had a 2011 Outback, and they also did the service on that. So far, I have found the Service Department has performed extremely well on both of our Outback vehicles.
I had a great experience buying my Sonata hybrid here. I applied for financing through Hyundai on line and buying the car was very straightforward. Daisy, who sold me the car was very helpful, patient, gave me sound advice and didnt pressure me. All around a great car buying experience.
We love our Subaru Crosstrek and we love Rancho Grande Motors. The guys that check you in/out in the service department are super nice. We recently had to have a small dent on the side of our car repaired. While our car was in the repair shop (not Rancho Grande, another location) something strange happened and when we picked it up the check engine light was on, the cruise control wasnt working. Rancho Grande was able to get us in with no appointment, checked out our car and got it working again. What a relief. Well only take our car to Rancho Grande Motors.
Excellent service!
Great experience shopping for my new Outback at Rancho Grande Motors. They were very knowledgeable and quick with the process. Each person that helped me was extremely helpful and accommodating. I would highly recommend buying a car there!
Where else will get such honesty? Cory is an awesome service writer. I took my truck in for an oil change. He actually told me my truck was not due for service. I had taken it in because of the time frame but because of mileage it was not considered to be due. They are not pushy and the honesty will continue to bring me back!
Great experience! Had a vexing fuel leak on my Cadillac CTS. The Rancho Grande Motors Service Staff were able to identify and correct the problem. All were polite, knowledgeable and professional. The repair was expertly completed. I recommend the Rancho Grande Motors Service Department for any GM repair or service work.
Good sales personnel but Do your homework online such as Carfax, Kelly B. B.*instant rates a bit high!
Frank is the best guy ever. He made my day. I just want to say thank you Frank I love you youre awesome.
Paras was exceptional. He really took the time to work with me on finding the perfect car. My 2017 Subaru Forester has everything that I wanted and Paras, Joe Ortega and Travis were flexible on pricing and helping me with my first big car purchase.
I purchased a used Lexus several months ago at Rancho Grande Motors and waited a while to review just to be sure nothing unexpected would turn up with the vehicle. I dont think I could ask for more. There was absolutely no pressure, just good information and great service from the staff. I have been very happy with my car and the service department staff have been pleasant and good to deal with. I will definitely return to Rancho Grande for my next vehicle and have recommended them to many of my friends.
I can’t say enough about my experience! I had a challenging budget but they were able to get me in an amazing gorgeous car! So many options because they are a Subaru, GMC, Hyundai dealer. Heath Shepard wasn’t at all “salesy” and helped me find the right fit for my family. He was super polite and seemed to really care about getting me in the right car!
Great Car, lousy sales follow up!First of all, I hate complaining, and I rarely leave bad reviews! But since I’ve given them several opportunities to rectify this issue with no luck, I’m leaving this review. We purchased a 2019 Outback this Spring. The car is great and we have no complaints, however our salesman has not followed through on the things that were promised. Sergio was very pleasant, helpful and not high-pressuring before we purchased the car, but once the sale was complete, that was the end of the customer service. The new car was supposed to come with 2 sets of keys, but he didn’t know exactly where the 2nd set was, so promised to send them to us. There was also a $65 test drive promo going on when we bought the car. After repeatedly contacting Sergio (at least 4 times) about receiving both things, (and him promising to send them out right away) we still haven’t received either the $65 or the second set of car keys! We purchased the car in March and it is now May.I am hopeful that the Service Department follows through with their promises better than the Sales Department!
This review is regarding the service department and its service representatives. I have had multiple repairs and service done there over the last year and for the price am underwhelmed by the service. I will state factually, the repairs have all been good. I am more speaking to the communication of that service between myself and the service rep. I dont know a lot about cars but whenever I go in to get something worked on, Im going to have a lot of questions. I just feel like if Im going to pay top dollar for service, someone should have the patience to explain whats going on to me. I leave each time feeling like a nuisance. Sorry, im not a customer who just wants to drop off their car and forget about it - call me when its done. Maybe thats the type of customer they want. I want to understand whats going wrong with my car in hopes of preventing the issue or so that I can repair it myself someday. So I get my outback serviced at Pokrajac off of Broad St. now. They are relatable people who give better options (not always cheaper) but talk to you like a person instead of an annoying money bag.
I had to get two recalls for my car, and they were both supposed to be taken care of the same day. First, it took 3 weeks from me calling to get an appointment. They were supposed to take care of both recalls in the same day, and had run out of parts for one of them the day prior. It wasn’t until after my car had been in the shop all day that they informed me I would have to take it back in. I had to wait another 3 weeks to make another appointment. They told me this appointment would be done by “lunchtime” so I stayed in the area. It was 2:00 and I hadn’t heard anything. I called and didn’t ever hear back about my car. I ended up going in to ask about it and didn’t get my car out until 3:30. It seemed like they hadn’t even started until I went in pestering.
Just got a 2012 Chevy Tahoe from these guys, and I am extremely happy! They gave me a great deal and were very friendly and prompt. I would definitely recommend shopping for a vehicle here!
Very poor in getting through their phone system to make a service appointment. It took me at least 5 try’s to finally get someone to book my appointment. Kept placing me on hold and never came back to me. Plus I left message for a return call that never happened. People on the phone didn’t really seem like they want to work toward giving good service. Hope my truck is OK there.
I have bought a few cars from here now. These guys treat me like a king. From sales to service they are a 10 out of 10!
Clay was easy to work with, no pressure & did a great job answering all our questions.
Waiting to pick up my mom while her car was being serviced. The staff was friendly and helpful, both to her and to me. Had the added excitement of watching someone in a Mercedes jump the curb and blow out a tire. I felt sorry for the old lady, but it did get the blood pumping. The staff was also quick to help her out, and that was good to see.
I just bought a truck from Sergio aka Surge Laguna at Rancho Grande Motors today. Awesome experience. Easygoing... no pressure... they made me a fair deal I am really happy with. Thanks Sergio. and thanks Dell too. I spoke to most every other dealer in town... these guys were normal people that made the car buying experience pleasant for once. I recommend them.
Following a horrific car accident, new vehicle safety was of paramount importance to me. I did extensive research on new vehicles and decided to take a look at the 2014 Subaru Forester. Sarah Wadsworth, one of Rancho Grande Motors sales staff, went above and beyond in all levels of service. On my first visit to the dealership, Sarah spent two hours with me, with most of the time spent explaining all the safety features of the new Subaru line. She asked if I wanted t test drive it but I declined, explaining that I still was afraid to drive right after the accident. Sarah was very understanding and there was no hard sell or pressure for me to give her my personal information. She simply gave me her business card and said to get in touch when I was ready. Almost 3 months passed before I called Sarah to say I wanted to come in again and possibly take the Forester for a test drive. She said if I felt absoluely ready to do so, she would be happy to see me. Expecting to fall in love with the Forester, I was surprised to find it a rougher ride than I expected - probably because I had been used to the smoother ride of a mid-size sedan. Sarah explained the safety features of the Outback and compared them to the Forester and suggested I consider test driving the 2014 Outback. I fell in love with the Outbacks feel, comfortable ride and smooth handling and am now a proud new owner. Sarah is the big reason I went back to Rancho Grande Motors and she did not disappoint. She is professional, courteous and extremely knowledgeable. With service like this, when my 2002 Camry finally gives up (its closing in on 400,000 miles now), Im sure Ill go back to see Sarah for a replacement vehicle. I cant recommend Sarah or Rancho Grande Motors highly enough! Thanks for a terrific experience!!!
I had them change the oil and engine air filter on my 2016 Forester. This was the first new car I ever had, and Ive been careful for its first year. Always parking it in end spaces and avoiding tight squeezes so it wouldnt be scratched. Well, I got it back with four scratches and two knicks out of the paint on its hood and front fender, like they dropped a tool or something. The manager called back wanting to make it right- what can you do now? Put swirl marks on my hood with a buffer? Repaint the hood? Its ruined either way. Its devalued, as am I - as the customer. I know at some point your new car gets blemishes - but if you cant trust a Subaru dealer with your Subaru, thats a shame. I am so incredibly disappointed. The Forester has been abused and I wont be going back. Buff it out...no. How about dont touch peoples cars if you cant keep from ruining them. After reading previous reviews and ignoring some eye-opening low scores only to be a gullible victim myself, this dealer will never touch another vehicle of mine.
These guys (gals) are the best! They really look out for their customers and go above and beyond in customer service. If something isnt perfect, they make sure to correct it quickly and with a lot of help and care. I would recommend them to all of my friends and family.
They Didn’t Do It Right and Weren’t Nice About ItI brought my car to this dealership for a simple oil change. The car was returned to me with the oil overfilled by half a quart.Because of my concern that this amount of excess oil could damage the car, I phoned the Subaru manufacturer’s 800 number to get their advice. The manufacturer’s technician told me that this amount of excess oil “could cause problems” and advised me to drain the excess oil. Excess oil in this amount can cause the oil to foam, exposing engine parts to excess heat and damage. It can also ruin the catalytic converter and cause the engine to pollute.I had to bring my car back to Rancho Grande Motors TWO MORE TIMES to have the excess oil drained. (The first time I brought it back the oil was again overfilled by half a quart!)These were bad experiences because the service writer was, at times, uncommunicative and clearly angry. He told me I was “making too big a deal” of this and accused me of checking the oil improperly by replacing the dipstick in the backwards position. (In fact, when the dealer returned the car to me it was THEY who had replaced the dipstick in the backwards position!).Sometime later, when I called the same service writer to ask a question and get a price on another service, he never returned my call. It took another call to the Subaru 800 number, who then contacted the dealership. Only then did a manager finally return my call.In all, I was seriously inconvenienced by this poor service. I was made to feel that I was creating a problem, when, in fact, the dealer had twice performed a service improperly, resulting in a condition that could have damaged my car.My advice to other Subaru owners is to find a local shop you can trust. For repairs, ask the shop to use Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) parts. I found such a shop, and on my last visit they performed my oil change properly. I intend to use them for all my future Subaru service.
Great service. Wish I could afford to have a new one.
Very good experience, easy in, easy out. Got the SUV for the family. Chris was very helpful explaining the details and making sure we make the proper informed decision. It was a great deal and would go back again when it is time to renew.Thank you Rancho Grande Motors.
Just bought a 2012 Hyundai Genesis coupe from them and it was not your typical car sale. No one was pushy and great customer service. Everyone here really goes out of their way to please the customer. If considering a new Hyundai check these guys out! Dont waste your time in Santa Maria!
Rancho Grande Motors was wonderful to work with for the purchase of our first Subaru. Love the car, love Rancho Grande Motors, but only gave them 4 stars because their financing is through Chase and they are a royal pain; poor website, statements dont match the information displayed online, and their phone service is not helpful at all. I imagine the Chase decision was not Rancho Grande Motors, but I definitely recommend obtaining your own financing if possible.
Great staff. However 2 days after I bought my car it started to sound funny. Needs CV joints. Feels almost like they masked a big problem and sold it anyways.
As far as dealerships go, this one was great. Friendly, fast, and reasonably priced. I would go back!
These guys are great! I have been struggling to get financed for a car and the team at Rancho Grande helped me out and got me the exact car that I wanted. Couldnt ask for a better first time buyer experience. Chris, Shane and Dell were the three guys I worked with and all three of them were knew exactly how to handle my situation and get me in a car in two days. I definitely recommend this dealership to anyone looking to buy a new or used car!
Dropped my car off and explained to the technicians exactly what was wrong with my car, a really easy fix just needed some silicone injected into a fitting on the roof of my Subaru to prevent a loud killer bee noise from starting. After 2 and 1/2 hours I had been informed they had not even looked at my car yet and told me it would be a couple more hours, this is when I decided I could just do the fixing myself (easy 20 minute fix tops!). Really disrespectful of my time, extremely disorganized and anything but timely. Save your money and take your business elsewhere.
Pretty decent aggregate auto dealer...among them is the ONLY Subaru dealer/service in 100 miles...really. Next closest one is in Ventura.
Great experience on buying used Nissan Frontier. Jon Oneal rocked it. Even when things got complicated he and Steve Salazar smoothed it out and made the process work for me. Thanks guys!
Very pleased with this company. From the salesman through the finance, service and parts departments, all did an excellent job. Would recommend it highly!
Who knew? A new car dealer with courtesy and efficiency.Gkad I found them.
Great service. I got a free rental car.
Beware of this place. Their policy seems to be that, unless you give them all your servicing business, they will not treat you well. I live pretty far from the dealership, so that is not a good option for me. Also I got a good look at their mark up. Compared to what my local mechanic charges, it is really high. Very disappointing.
The best dealership I have ever worked with. Everyone is kind and courteous and I would recommend them to everyone.
I Have Been Looking For my Dream Car and I Found It At Rancho Grande Motors. The Service Was Amazing Tom Sanchez Took All The Time I Needed He Was So Great !!!!!!!!!!! :) He Took Me Threw The Whole Place To Show Me What I Needed To Know From Service To Just Anything I Might Need While I Own This Car.The Whole Day Was Very Relaxed No Pressure. Toms People Skills Are Perfect .Rancho Grande Is Great And I Would Recommend It To Everyone Who Is Wanting To Buy a New Car !!!!Thanks Again Rancho Grande Motors And Tom Sanchez. I Love My New Buick LaCROSSE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :):):):):)
I recently purchased a used Subaru from Rancho Motors and paid top dollar for it. They had just received it as a trade-in the day before. It needed a little mechanical work done on it before I picked it up, which they farmed out to a local garage with average reviews. A garage owned/operated by a former employee. Anyway, I was told that once the repairs were finished the car would be detailed, which is customary when they get a trade-in and before putting it out on the lot. When I received word that it had been detailed I went in to pick it up, and found that all they did was wipe it down and spray the inside with Fabreze or something equally as smelly. The windows were streaked with wax and there was now grime spread everywhere throughout the interior. The carpet was still dirty. The car was obviously not detailed at all, but the salesman had no problem lying to me and pretending it was. Now Ill need to go and spend an extra $350.00 getting the car professionally detailed just so that I dont get slimed with grime and Fabreze when I sit behind the wheel.Based on this experience, I would never purchase a car from them again, new or used, and I certainly will never take it in to be serviced by them either, for fear that they would do an equally poor job on that as well. Or that theyll farm it out to the shop down the street again. Nope, Ill take my business somewhere else, thanks, someplace I can trust. Someplace that will actually do what they tell you theyll do. Someplace thats honest and has a little integrity.
These guys are the best!!! Really make u feel at home everytime!! A+
My wife took her vehicle in 2017 outback for a/c not working...After having our vehicle for a few days the mechanic said she had it on just the floor setting. She said no way that isnt right..told to pick it up..the a/c still isnt working. She showed them it still wasnt working now she must return in a few days to have a blower fan put in. Look we live in Paso Robles not fun to have to return for their mistake plus we are in 100+ degree weather this week.
Had oil change and tire rotation. Told I needed brake fluid changed and it was high, $169. I did it and they washed my car and it looked beautiful.
My wife and I have been looking at the all new 2017 XT5 and she decided to see if she could drive it comfortably (I already had.) She spent quite some time examining one she liked, in and out of it a couple times. Not one sales person greeted her. She assumed everyone was busy and decided to leave. As she was walking back to her car, a man drove up and stepped out of his old beater vehicle and was immediately swarmed with sales people.Wow, in this day and age, how dumb can your sales people be?She was ready to actually buy that vehicle for me, then and there.
Professional, to the point, no hassle. Only thing is they are so good you need to leave plenty of time to get an appointment. Plan in advance.
Oil Change and tire rotation was fast, but normally takes a few hours. Friendly service.
I go here for my Subaru tuneups and the employees have great attitudes and service! I recommend booking appointments way in advance!
Peter did a fantastic job of taking care of our needs. Appreciate their flexibility in getting the issue resolved.
Great service and sales team. Very friendly and I have been very happy every time I have been there.
