If I lived here I would go through their entire drink menu, everything looks awesome! great flavor combos that are unique. I got a beetroot latte and it was perfect. Staff is kind and lovely.

Visited SLO, stopped at Kin Coffee Bar for an afternoon coffee. Ordered an iced mocha and butter crassant, relaxed outdoor seating, courteous staff, worth a visit 😊

I cannot write enough about how great Kin is. Their coffee and matcha are superb, and their specialty drinks are all so creative and delicious. With lots of options, they can make a drink for any dietary restrictions. The employees here are what really make the place though. Every one of them takes the time to not only offer suggestions for drinks and food, but try to make your day better. They are kind and accepting towards customers, they feel more like family. I cannot recommend Kin enough.

The vibe and decor are exquisite. The people? Wonderful. The coffee? Taylor makes delicious drinks, and their menu is so fun! You’ve gotta try the “taking back Monday.” Henry, working the register, was ready with perfect drink recommendations. A can’t miss coffee spot 🤩

I was visiting from out of town and needed an afternoon pick-me-up. Kin coffee was the closest with stellar reviews. I asked for something similar to a cold brew vanilla sweet cream and they totally delivered. I was blown away. I came close to asking a total stranger to try it so they could be blown away also. The vibe is chill and the prices are reasonable and fair. I will of course return.

This coffee shop has an amazingly unique vibe, and the people were so friendly! Also, the coffee was delicious. I normally add sugar to my lattes, but didnt need it here - the taste was perfect as is. I also got a blueberry muffin, so yummy!!

Gorgeous little cafe in the heart of downtown SLO. Super bomb menu, I would recommend the Amethyst (iced matcha latte with lavender). Surprisingly it tasted just like fruit loops! Every drink is crafted with care and the menu is very diverse while still accommodating the classics. There is always a line but the baristas are quick and efficient. Stick around and take a seat to enjoy the spaceship jungle inside.

As winter is around the corner nothing like a hot cup of coffee to warm up your soul. Here @kin.slo every one of their coffees are hand crafted to perfection and they have an amazing selection of baked goods. If your ever in San Luis Obispo then you hav two check it out.

Best workers ever. Best coffee ever. I come here probably 4-5 times a week and I don’t plan on ever stopping. I love the lavandula and the donuts are to die for.

Just about the creamiest, yummiest almond latte ever. MASSSIVE vegan breakfast burrito with lots of soyrizo. Oh my lordy. SO dang good.

So unique and different! Great flavors. The coffee dyed my lips blue and I ended up walking around town with blue lips. My kids didn’t tell me and thought it was funny.

I hope this place succeeds, its a local joint in a great location for enjoying a coffee downtown. Ive been impressed with the friendly service each time Ive come in, and always felt welcome there. I was pleasantly surprised when the barista offered to top off my coffee before leaving, you wont get that at Starbuck$. As a boring coffee drinker, I cant comment on their specialty drinks other than to say they look awesome. My 1 criticism is that the coffee is on the bitter side, but worth it, all things considered.

Baristas were very friendly. The overall vibe of this shop is spooky chill. The menu has traditional options for coffee nerds, tea latte options, and delicious speciality sweet coffee options. I got an iced Madonna, which was pretty and so yummy! If youre in the area, this place is wonderful!

A very nice and welcoming shop, the staff is friendly and outgoing. The selection of coffee is good, as well as the teas. We ordered the Kyoto cold brew coffee and an iced peppermint tea, both were very flavorful and refreshing.

This is just an incredibly good place for coffee, and much, much more. The range of beverages they have, from the most simple coffee option to the most innovative non-caffeinated creations, and the quality of all of them across the board, makes it probably the best place of its kind I have ever been. I will look forward to going back many note times.

Super solid spot! Little pricey, but the quality matches. One of the only places that seems to be able to consistently make a breve latte correctly and not mess it up.

Coffee was ok, not the best in town. Unfortunately as they did not take names customers never knew if it was their order or someone elses. Confusion rules the day.

Really amazing stuff. They have a much larger menu than shown online with tons of fun and tasty drink combos. Their house-made matcha donut was INCREDIBLE ~ salty and sweet all at once. Their bagel was also amazing. Pricing is fair for the otherwise intricate drinks. Super cool store and FREE STICKERS!!

Bow down to the 👑Kings 👑of matcha lattes, or as I like to call them matchattes. I got the Caravan matcha latte. Oh my god its so goood--it was so tasty and delightful that after taking one sip I was so overwhelmed with joy and happiness that I left my keys on the table inside.

Artisan Coffee made by beautiful humans.Their espresso is custom roasted and mixed by their veteran barista owner. Espresso is flavorful and light. The shots pulled are consistent throughout the staff.The milk texturing is always silky smooth with the latte art to boot. Depending on the staff your milk may be more or less aerated, but the quality is always there.Customer service is always down-to-earth and friendly. Most ‘3rd wave’ cafes come with an attitude but the staff here always seem ready to chat.The interior is plastered with enough art to keep your eyes busy for hours. Wifi is great, and there seems to always be seating available for such a busy spot.If you’re in SLO definitely check this spot out.

Asked them to fix my matcha drink because it tasted like watered down milk. No matcha flavor. Rude and told me they would charge me extra.

The girl took of my debit card $47 dls but she said me that my debit card wasnt work. So I paid in cash and also gave her tip. Please always review your accountand state.

Great coffee and unique selection. I got the Curious George, which was a latte with chocolate and banana flavors. Very good! My partner got the lavender matcha and that was also super refreshing. We will be back when we come to SLO!

We had the best experience at Kin Coffee Bar. The staff is extremely friendly and welcoming. And the matcha was bomb.com. We also tried the Curious George, which was a tasty spin on a latte which my taste buds have never had before. I cannot recommend this place enough. If you like good people and good coffee you should take the time to stop by.

Coffee was overpriced and nothing spectacular. Business was grossly overstated and aggressive in their liberal “progressive” views which is never appealing or professional and very off putting. Will not be recommending or returning.

Wow what an amazing coffee shop! The energy here is unlike any other I’ve ever experienced. Everyone seems to be friends. Customers were reminding the owner about their party a week from Sunday, workers were staying late to hang out after their shifts. Even my group of friends felt special at our first time there. We were offered a whole platter of cookies for free, and let me tell you, they were incredible! I can’t wait to return.

This is by far the best (and most beautifully decorated) coffee shop in SLO. Ive tried several drinks on the menu; all of them have been absolutely delicious, my favorite being the Madonna.Julian is also incredibly kind, knowledgable, and truly cares about each customer. It makes stopping by Kin the highlight of my day, and I love supporting this coffee shop.

In my opinion, the matcha drinks here are the absolute best in SLO but the espresso could be a little more flavorful.In reply: In terms of flavorful, I mean that the Latte tastes a little too much like milk to me. I tend to like richer espresso though so it could just be personal preference.

As soon as I walked in, I immediately noticed the very unique and stunning vibes. Art work and plants are woven throughout the shop. Really friendly baristas. And the coffee is delicious! - I love their unique menu items and their ingredients as well. I had their cold brew and the butterfly pea superfood latte. Ahhhmazing!

We live in Kansas City, MO area and were visiting our daughter, whom had really spoken so highly of Kin Coffee. When ordering a large to go order (social distancing) and just describing what the individual liked and asked if they would just make what they thought was best, all of our drinks were amazing!!! The service was beyond compare!!!!! We see why our daughter loves this coffee bar and will definitely visit each time we visit SLO!!!!

Visited Kin on a Saturday evening when I was looking for something not coffee and knew Kin had opened recently. Went inside and was greeted with a very distinct style that set it apart from other local coffee shops. Very welcoming and nice and cool compared to outside.Julian was there to assist with my beverage needs. Talked with him about any coffee alternatives and he suggested I explain what I was looking for. I said something with not too much caffeine and iced. Julian made an amazing lavender matcha iced beverage for me which was superb.While he was preparing the drink for me he was incredibly friendly and interested in chatting with us about what we were doing downtown. I could tell he has a passion for his craft and it certainly shows in the drinks he makes. It is a lovely place to visit and Ill absolutely return.
