It’s wonderful to be able to walk into car service shop and be able to take a deep breath and know that a business is full of people with integrity. From the moment I walked in they were completely upfront and honest. They were thorough in their inspections, informative in their reports, and just all around good, honest, reliable people. Friendly, experienced, & Patriotic. I was very happy with my service which included all fluids changed/flushed, plus a multi-point inspection with recommendations.

I know nothing about transmissions but my general mechanic told me that mine was a problem. My car would not go into park and I had to set it to neutral with the emergency brake on to park it. I was told to take it to Metro transmission and that they would take care of me. Did I spend a lot of money? Yes! Do I feel I spent too much money? Absolutely not. What I recommend this place to anybody else? Completely.I felt that they explained everything 100% to my satisfaction and that they gave me quality care, clear communication, and an amazing warranty on the work that they did. Im hoping I never ever ever ever ever ever have to go back again lol, but if I do I know that Im in good hands.

Great place. Been here three or four times now. The front office folks are very friendly, knowledgable, and helpful. Theyve done my transmission fluid, replaced a belt, spark plugs and ignition coil. I got a ride with their courtesy vehicle once. Prices seem reasonable, and they provided an itemized invoice. I have no complaints, Ill be back again.

Took my 20 year old Toyota truck in with an engine light on. They evaluated the problems and told me what the immediate repairs needed were and some other issue to be repaired at a later date. They referred me to a fellow repair shop to save money, which I did. I have been to this shop before and would not hesitate to have repairs made or to recommend them. Honest and decent rates.

Metro Transmission is transparent and speedy. We trust them completely with both our cars. The comprehensive diagnostic they provide detailing the health of your car is excellent. Each item is given a level (red, yellow, green) to show the status of different parts of your car and urgency of possible issues. Pictures of the necessary work are provided, so you can see for yourself the condition of the repair they describe. I completely recommend them!

Metro performed a complete fluid replacement which was definitely needed. They also diagnosed a coolant leak which had baffled me for a long time. My vehicle was ready when promised and for the amount quoted. This is my new auto repair shop.

Hit a dip enterin Walmart in San Marcos broke ball joints right side, I was scared cuz I skid at least 30ft, so close to walkin Over to Hooters to calm my nerves with a special drink, but I couldn’t,shouldn’t, but thought bout it. Last Monday I lost my clutch and had it towed to metro to have a clutch put in. Robert came out asked what happened to get towed there and what I wanted done. Went in to do some paperwork done. Then called enterprise for me. Told me he would keep me informed. And that he did. Very detailed text on what they found and what theyre doing. Calling a lot to also made sure I understood what was going on. Went back to pickup the car and to wait for it so Robert was should it was perfect for me. It was THANKS. C u soon

I took my Ford F-150 to Metro because it was running rough. I was greeted by Michelle who did a thorough questioning of the symptoms of what my truck was doing. At that time it was determined that I should go on a test ride with Rick to try and duplicate the symptoms. After a short test ride Rick pointed out the problem with my truck. After we returned to the shop Michelle created a work order and I was told when my truck would be done. As the work was being performed the mechanic called to keep me informed to the progress of the repairs. Metro also e-mailed me a report card on the condition of the various systems in the truck. The work was performed and the truck was returned on time as promised. I appreciate the professionalism that I was treated with by everyone at Metro Transmission. Honesty and Integrity!Here is a brief story about my experience with Metro Transmission. Based on some (online) research, I was convinced that I needed a new transmission in my 2016 Ford Transit. With this in mind, I walked into the store and asked the manager for a price to replace my transmission. He agreed to inspect the vehicle and call me asap.Two days later the manager called me and explained that the problem was not in the transmission at all but with the _____ and the cost was much less than I had anticipated.I can’t tell you how much I appreciated the service and that call. I’ve had some transmission issues while passing through on a road trip so I called today and talked to Michelle who was super kind, asked a bunch of questions, gave a little feedback, and ended up referring me to another shop because of my time limitations and their busy schedule. One of the best experiences I’ve had CALLING an auto shop.

The head gasket on my Ecoboost Mustang blew. Ford gave me a price nearly double of what Metro charged.They called me every day to update me. They did the work and talked about what needed to be done and why. That used OEM parts too. My advisor was also from Ford at one point. They knew the utter lack of communication ford had.They even did my roommates breaks too.They warrantied the work for a year.I found my mechanic.

Went there today to get a quote. Came in with an error code my normal car place was looking at and said they may not be able to fix. So explained the issue. They read the code to see if it was the issue that my normal place could not fix. They then set me up with an appointment with a clear price for 1 hour of work to look into it. Will recommend this place to others.

This was an all-time wonderful experience. Our engine went bad and we needed help getting it fixed and we were almost 100 miles from home. I looked in my phone and found Metro transmission and Automotive. Seeing they were AAA rated I pdecided to call them. It turned out they were a family run business. They were able to bring my wife home after she left off the vehicle and then they diagnosed the problem and sent me pictures with an explanation. They were able to take care of our problem within one day. Their customer service was outstanding as was their work on our vehicle. I was really happy that their prices were also very fair. What a wonderful place to deal with when you’re far from home. I will certainly recommend them to our daughter who lives in the area and that is the place we would go if we ever had another problem.

They had my car back to me in two days, successfully concluding my warning lights were related to two low batteries in my Mercedes 500 SL. They checked out the ABS system and figured out that warning light was caused by the sensors trying to draw on empty batteries. I will not hesitate to take my SL back to them with any future problems. They are really good people and very honest!!!

First due to Covid they did a great job keeping the car clean and covering etc.they always do a great job, it’d been a while since I had been there and there new pictures in a text was awesome showing me things that needed service, wasn’t just the hey you need $400 worth of work for a leak.... they took pictures and you can see problems.Will definitely be taking all my cars not only for transmission service but for auto repairs.Thanks Metro!

Excellent shop!!! Great service. This was my son’s first experience with a repair shop. We had it towed in on Friday expecting a $600-$800 fuel pump repair. Monday morning it was on the lift, diagnosed as a faulty relay, replaced and my son had his car before noon At less than 1/4 the expected price. Metro chose the customer over profit and I commend and recommend them for this rare Act!!!

Great experience bringing my 2002 Chevy Malibu in to have the serpentine belt and crankshaft pulley replaced. Also had a power steering flush and had them check the cause of an oil leak. All very professional and friendly workers, and I didnt feel strong armed into getting any of the services done. Will be bringing this car and other cars in for future service.

Everyone was efficient and kind from my first call from the side of the road (burnt up transmission still smoking). Not only installed new transmission but found and corrected work done incorrectly by former mechanics. And sent me down the street for much needed alignment work based on observation of uneven tire wear. They will be my go to place every year now when I wander through on my yearly migration.

I was a mechanic for many years and after checking around I got quotes of $95 to over $300 for a transmission service on my Tacoma. I went with the place that seemed the most honest and knowledgeable... amazingly that was also the cheapest place. Metro is the place to go.

Tried getting a quote using their on-line Start Your Free Quote. Never did hear back from them. Not sure why they offer this on their website. One takes the time to fill out the info form and then nobody get back with you.They appear to have good reviews so this was shocking. Guess Ill try another repair shop.

Ive gone to Metro for many years. Recently had my truck towed when it died while driving on the freeway. Eric told me what he thought it was. Turned out being something related but not what they initially thought. Cost about $650 LESS! Eric commented that they are not perfect but they are honest. I couldnt agree more. Diagnosing mechanical problems is not easy. Humans are not perfect, although these guys are close, but they are honest and to me that is more important and why Ill continue going to Metro. They are great! Thank you all for being such honest, kind people.

I came in wanting to check my transmission. Car drove almost smoothly just getting a check list done. Left it there for a day and when I got it back, car was not drive able. They told me my back engine seal was cracked. Car wouldnt go past 20 after the inspection. Got it towed to a mechanic my family knew for a while. Turns out this place unplugged a sensor in my car, and tried to charge me 1000.86 to plug it back in. Engine seal was fine. Im dying to hear an explanation.

Best place to go locally. Transmission went out, got it fixed, then it went out 30 days later (not their fault) and got it rebuilt for free! Thank you metro

Eric and Rick and Brenda were fantastic. They all were very friendly and ensured that all my questions were answered. I had a failing CVT transmission and gave me several options to choose from. They also informed me of any repairs that needed to be done while doing the requested repair so that I wouldnt have to come back in later to pay more money to do the same repair while the initial repair on the tranny was being done. Many other shops would have kept an engine leak there in order to bring it back in for a costly repair.I appreciated the honesty and service they provide and recommend them to anyone needing service on their vehicle.

Truly impressed. Two days ago I was calling around town trying to find a shop that I could use to diagnose what I thought was a transmission problem with our Ford F150. I was told by Metro Transmission that I could bring it in the next day for the diagnosis free of charge. We dropped off the truck yesterday morning and while describing the issue the mechanic thought he knew exactly what it was and referenced a recent service bulletin from Ford about the problem.Later that afternoon I called to check on the truck. Not only had they diagnosed the problem they had already fixed it and the truck was ready to pick up. It turned out to be exactly what the mechanic said he thought it was. Being an Auto Club approved shop was a bonus too because we got a lower price due to our Triple A membership. We were very happy with the prompt and accurate service and will definitely be back next time we need a repair.

First experience I had with them was about six years ago when I took my SUV to them after the hacks at El Camino Transmissions (Encinitas, no longer in business) rebuilt it and trashed it resulting in a total failure. Metro went through hell fixing the mess, having to finally replace the tranny case, but continued working it until it was fixed correctly without asking for more money. Its worked flawlessly ever since. They run an honest, family-owned business and have some older, very experienced technicians that have been with the company for years and seen it all. They will repair your tranny with minimal parts if thats all it takes, or theyll rebuilt the entire thing if necessary. They also do other powertrain work (differentials, driveshafts, wheel bearings). And if they do something wrong, they let you know what happened quickly and fix it on their own dime, instead of trying to hide it and get you out the door.
