I was here last September and had a really bad haircut from Terri. I hadnt come in for a haircut, just a color. But she was very persuasive. I said maybe take a little from the top so my hair wasnt so flat. It wasnt until I got home that I saw the horrible cut. People were shocked and wondered why she cut it so short and uneven. Its only now, 9 months later, that my hair has grown back and I feel like myself again. I wouldnt recommend this place at all.

I LOVE Alchemy Hair Studio! My stylist is EXCELLENT! (Having moved a lot, I have had quite a few stylists through the years.) Stella does a fabulous job with both my cut & color, and its such a treat to enjoy a great scalp massage and quality blowout. (My hair is very curly, so it is wonderful to find a stylist who can properly straighten & style it!) I also bring my three daughters to Alchemy, and their stylists do an excellent job as well. My teenage girls are all smiles when we leave. I highly recommend this great hair studio! Our family has been very happy here.

Rachel is a maverick in her craft! She cares deeply about what kinds of products she uses on her clients, and uses only clean, small-batch products that do not contain harsh chemicals. She is a master of vibrant reds (that last) and clean, precise edges. She has helped to revitalize my hair when I came to her two years ago with split, damaged ends, to get my hair to a healthy and happy place!

Stella is amazing! I’ve been going to her for years and she always makes sure my hair is perfect. I recently moved but I will always make the trip for my appointments with her, I don’t think I could trust anyone else with my hair. The salon is super clean and relaxing and has a great selection of hair products if you need them too!

Anna is the best! If you are looking for a great hairstylist she is your girl! I first went to her earlier this year. I was looking to go dark and she really took the time to find out what I wanted to do with my hair. A few months later I decided to go light again and she was available to help me have the hair I wanted. Anna is easy to reach, just text the number provided on the Alchemy Hair studio webpage! Estella has been doing my hair for years. She is amazing with color! What I appreciate most is she listens to what I want. We go around and around about bangs or no bangs...she is so patient with me! Cute and friendly salon!

Estella Knoff has been my hair stylist, beautician & friend for at least a decade. She’s very talented & stays current with the latest techniques & trends in hair. She knows me & my hair very well & at times when I don’t even know what I want done or need, she does. I have thick, Semi- frizzy hair & lots of it. She knows exactly how to cut and thin it without making it look choppy. All this & she’s sweet too! I highly recommend her.

I was expecting something less great clips-like to be honest. I recently moved to San Marcos and was looking for a new hair stylist, well this place is not the one for sure!I don’t want to say much just how can asking for one haircut and getting something completely different make you happy? I asked for shoulder length long bob and got a chin length nightmare! It’s also incredibly hard to style.. my hair doesn’t grow too fast so I’m stuck with a horrible haircut for probably another year.Here are the pictures of what I showed to the hairdresser and what I got ... think twice before you go there!

Very happy with my experience at Alchemy! There was a technical glitch when I booked my initial appointment but Lauren contacted me right away to work things out and was able to get me a late slot that fit my schedule on a short notice. Terri is clearly a master of her craft- highly recommend for her knowledge of color and precision cuts. I hadn’t been to a salon in years and felt daunted— my hair was so thick and difficult to manage that everyday I was just putting it in a ponytail to avoid dealing with it. It’s been over 2 weeks since my haircut and it still looks fantastic and lays beautifully even when I don’t style at all! Will definitely be back & highly recommend to anyone like me who is nervous about going to the salon.

Ashley is amazing with my hair and is so sweet to talk to. The salon is gorgeous and has that edgy feel to it. Its a little pricey, but its worth it to me to know that Im going to leave feeling like a million bucks!
