First time dining here and left favorably impressed. Food and service was excellent. Nice ambiance resembling times past. Very rustic setting. We will return.

I havent been to Old California Mining Company since 99-00...yeah its been a minute. At this time they arent taking reservations. The restaurant wasnt terribly crowded, and they offered indoor or outdoor seating. Back in the day I remembered having a chicken dish, and the garlic mashed potatoes that were to die for! Tonight, I was open to trying something different, which was going to be the Sea Bass, but ultimately decided on the Miners Club. The club sandwich wasnt made like a traditional club where its cut in quarters - it looked like a toasted, sloppily made sandwich. It tasted great, but the presentation was terrible. The fries were good - cant really get fries wrong. I also had a Cadillac Margarita which was okay. The waitress was great and very attentive, but I was hoping shed ask if I wanted dessert. I knew when I got there that I was going to consider it, and forgot about it. Id go back again and try the Sea Bass with the garlic mashed potatoes.

Service was attentive. My salad was good but the potato cheese soup was served cold, however when I brought it to their attention they immediately took care of it. We were part of a large group and everyone seemed to enjoy their food.

Such a great place to eat, the country vibe is very attractive and the food is delicious, the salad bar is not bad either.

Went to IHOP for breakfast in Resteraunt row in SanMarcos long wait got in & placed order served food with no silverware had to ask twice when brought had 2 forks & napkins my cousin & I look at eachOther & shook our heads as she had meat on her plate & could have used a knifeOverheard another conversation patrons complaining to server as there table had got there meals & ate without ever getting silverware none Server reply was Im so sorry we have been out of silverware today.Times are tough!!!

Was not satisfied at all. Food came out at different times items were missing. Just was not a good experience and food was not great. Steak over cooked sent back then rare. Better hamburger at In n out.

There is a movie theater play dikki of indoor and outdoor dining beautiful people. Yes theres lots of choices for food. EXCELLENT

Steak was super tender and juicy. The baseball steak was marinated beautifully. Service was friendly and fast. Not a fan of having to scan aqm qr code to see the menu, but thats just covid for you. They did have printed menus on the walls so you could go physically look at them.

SteAk was good.wish yhey had cheese sticks. For sure need loaf of bread and butter.

Seriously such an amazing dinner. Im honestly not a huge fan of Italian food but my husband brought me here wow. Everything is made so fresh and delicious. The staff is super friendly and very informative on the plates and wine they serve. We found our new date night spot. Its such a cute little restaurant. I recommend making a reservation a couple days in advance because it can get busy.

We arrived around 6:00 p.m. and were seated on the patio there were three other tables with two patrons each. There were two waiters that took care of the three tables and never even acknowledged the fact that we were sitting there. after 15 minutes of waiting I went back inside and asks for some service. Finally, a waitress showed up and she was very pleasant took our drink order after serving us our drink she took our food order. An hour later our food arrived it was lukewarm at best including the baked potato. When I went inside there were no other patrons in there so the place was basically empty. You would think that during these times service would be better. I was really disappointed with the entire experience.

Cocina del Charro has the best Mexican food in North County. The portions are generous. The dishes are tasty and the colors are inviting to the senses. If you are looking for affordability in 2021, this is the place to be a regular at.

We arrived at this restaurant for lunch. we heard about this spot from many people. Well, it was very successful. The crew welcomed us with a smile and we had an excellent feeling. The food was just great. We loved this place a lot and we shall absolutely come back again. Warmly recommended.

Best fried chicken ever!!! We got the sando, whole bird, macaroni salad and extra comeback sauce - the highlight was the fried chicken, the thigh piece of it is so juicy and flavorful. Seriously so so good! We came here on a Friday after the holidays and waited 4 hours! Its worth the wait and not so bad if you mentally prepare yourself for it.

This place is my number one place. Of all restaurants I know I love it most. I always suggests to my friends to go to visit this restaurant. when I feel like having a decent lunchon, this restaurant comes straight to my head. superb and diverse food and a large menu.courteous team, and agreeable spirit. In addition to that, the tariff is reasonable. I sent my friends to this place with no hesitation.

We came on a Wednesday night after a trip to Universal Studios and had a great dinner. Although the duck was not our favorite meal, the short rib was delicious and the service was outstanding. Johnny was attentive and genuinely cared about our experience.

The steak house is awesome! Perfect steaks. The portions are a little small. Restaurants are still getting used to post covid-19 serving.

This is one of the first chicken sandwich places Ive tried a while ago. And its on my top 5 favorite. Even thought its a hit or miss. I went to the ktown location and it was terrible. But the other LA location is good. Which makes me think that the locations are not consistent.I wouldnt recommend getting the Mac n cheese though. It was mushy and overcooked and the cheese tasted like cheap off brand cheese slices for sandwiches. Other than that the main part is good, which is the Chicken sandwich lol.

A calmer, more relaxed Claim Jumper-style restaurant. Steaks cooked perfectly to order, with all the fixings. They have a great salad bar, too.Weave a very picky group, and everyone left happy and satisfied. Our server was very friendly and attentive the entire time, even though we must have driven him crazy. Highly recommended!

I love the ambience at Old California Coffee House and Eatery. It beats the environment of the chained cafe, as it offers cozy and vintage sitting areas for lounge, study, or simple conversation. You can enjoy your coffee inside on a couch, or outside at the fire-pit while listening to live music.The vegan chili and split pea soup with bacon are definite comfort foods on the menu. I feel that the menu is pretty diverse for such a small cafe and the ingredients are all healthy and natural. Their sandwiches are fresh and hearty with taste.The service is very warm, and I noticed the owner referred to frequent customers by name. I came here when I first moved to the San Diego area 5 years ago. I was away 3 years and was pleased to return to the same familiar and homey setting.I highly recommend this cafe!

Worst food we have ever had. The meat loft was fried, the potatoes were cold, and the gravy was also from a can. The turkey breast was YELLOW, the potatoes were cold, and the gravy was also from a can. Excuse me I have to go and p____!

Dont come for happy hour. Over 30 people working and only 20 customers and service was not acceptable. Didnt offer to refill my soft drink and they cost $4.25! No refill on water and calamari was under cooked. Not a pleasant experience for the first time. Save your coins!

Landons Restaurant. Two Good meals with wild salmon and two interesting side dishes for each of us! Addition of some tasty, prepared and baked on-site dinner rolls would have been much appreciated. Realize they are newly opened for business in past week. Wishing Landons good luck!

Theres actually only a couple of places worth going here and the way the parking lot is built just doesnt make sense.If you do stop by, avoid the touristy places. Hint: if California is in the name, read the reviews very carefully.The coffee shop is pretty good, but I wouldnt eat there.Sublime is honestly bomb and has a fabulous beer selection.Indian Princess is super authentic and amazing!But thats about it. The rest of the places are 0-3 stars and not worth your time or money.

I love this place. Its has a cool sorta western theme with just about every type of Cuisine you could ask for. Im there 2 - 3 times a month. Go ahead, give it a try. You wont regret your decision.

The place is called Landons now. Food was really good, fresh and healthy. Menu is a bit small and pretty expensive. I had the beet salad and added salmon. I didnt want the goat cheese but asked for avocado instead. They charged an extra 3$ making my salad $22. A bit steep for a salad. The inside of the restaurant is bright, airy and modern with a country farmhouse flair.

Fish House Vera Cruz is one of my personal favorites. Fresh fish doesnt begin to describe how high qualuty their entrees are. The fish is cooked over an open wood fire grill and is the very best. The seafood salad is an item that I long overlooked, but once I tried it, I rarely pass it up for something else now. Stop by the fish market counter at the entrance and bring home a small piece of smoked albacore for dessert (you can also order it as an appetizer at your table), you will not be sorry!

Lots of restaurants, but very few of them last. Theres Indian food, Thai food, a d a Japanese hibachi restaurant that have all been there for quite a while. Sublime alehouse is pretty good too. Most of the other spaces are a different restaurant every two years or so, and never any good.

First time there, sever was awesome and food was good. Any problems I had were addressed. Five star based on service and food alone. It was a plus that there is fun historical stuff hung up and on display.

Soon to undergo update. Many places already closed but some still open. Old Calif. Coffee used to be a good 0 lace to go for great music on the weekends. No ire music, at least for now, but still decent for breakfast or lunch..

There are a good selection of restaurants here. Working in the area occasionally I try to eat somewhere different each evening. Here you can get good grilled meat, fish and fast food.

Definitely a place to take the family. So many great choices. Our favorite is sublime. A bit pricey though.

It seems like every year for homecoming or prom we went to a restaurant here. Theyve got really nice places and theyve got more affordable places its right next to a movie theater and it seems like theyre always throwing in something new. We just got to Buffalo Wild Wings and theyre doing construction on something else. A San Marcos classic you got to hit Restaurant Row period thanks again guys who run Restaurant Row?

This is a nice place to go to have diner and a movie. Restaurant Row has about 15 restaurants and bars. Types of cuisine include Mexican, Chinese, Japanese, Sushi, Bar & Grill, Fish House, IHOP, Indian, Thai, Coffee House, Brewery, and Tony Romas. Next door is the Edwards 18 Movie Theater. Although it is in San Marcos it is a nice getaway. I go up here regularly.

This is my go-to spot for business and networking coffee meetings. You cant beat their atmosphere. Great people, great service, awesome food! You need to try their Creme Burle coffee, and their Southwest Chicken Wrap (Chipotle sauce adds a delicious kick to it!).

Have to say, we were disappointed by the Classic Car Show this past weekend, with banners promising (among other things) Exotic Italian sports cars (which I was anxious to see).Turned-out to be just some classic domestic cars.Not to diminish what those folks were showing, but I felt the advertising was misleading.

When you walk in the door your greeted with warmest wishes. They asked if it was our first experience. They explained the Ala carte menu. The choices alone encourage you to return especially after my ribeye steak Oscar style. The others at our table just raved about the food. My only problem we had was that the server stated that the sides would feed maybe 4 or 5 persons. So our party of 5 only ordered 2 sides. I think they only feed 2 or three at best. Overall the food and service was impeccable.

Nice mix of restaurants, but most are average. Huge parking lot in back. You’ll definitely be able to find a decent place to eat, but it’s not easy to walk around from restaurant to restaurant due to the layout. Our favorites are the Coffee House and IHOP. Yes, that’s right. IHOP.

Nice workers, good coffee and good food, too. Plenty of free parking.Board games are available to pass the time.And the milkshakes are tremendous.

I just love the little collection of restaurants so close to home. Indian, Sublime Alehouse, steakhouse, Mexican, heck, even an Ihop. Sublime is my favorite -- great beer and mac n cheese to die for.

Great Chinese restaurant, Mexican and Japenese are good too. There is an Ihop which is normally a popular place for breakfast and a great coffee shop which normally has live music and fire pits outside. A lot are empty and have closed down but there are still several restaurants open. The Indian restaurant just changed ownership and unfortunately does not match up with the previous restaurant. Will not return, did not like the food at all.

We stopped at the Fish House. The mashed potatoes were extremely dry and forgettable. The prawn were smaller than large shrimp. The grilled shrimp was amazing!

OK food it was a hot day and they sat us near two doers that opened up every few mins to the outside.. So it was kinda hot not nice.... And food took forever to get food... Not sure why??

Found this by accident and was pleasantly surprised by the number of restaurants at the location. I went to IHOP for some late night studying as well as dinner. The service was very good but the food was a bit disappointing.

Best first time experience. Kayla was our waitress she was more than exceptional her service attention to detail and just kind sweet attitude - she was great. Employee of the month nomination for sure. The food was great from their salad bar to their soups potato cheddar and tri tip chili were amazing my husband and I had the tri tip and sirloin with veggies garlic mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese everything was excellent. We will be back. I am actually wanting to go back tomorrow for a bowl of their tri tip chili. Highly recommend this place. All the staff was amazing pricing is great food portions also hearty. You wont be disappointed. Thanks Kayla you rock.
