Got my J & J booster in one arm and a Flu shot in the other. HEB makes it so easy. Just go to there website register and make an appt. Well Ill either be dead by tomorrow or hopefully good to go for the next year or longer.

I just moved to the area. I really like this particular H-E-B: yes, it is small, but very well organized so youre not walking around everywhere (larger H-E-Bs have weird aisle numbering and arrangements) and always clean. I have always seen a manager on the floor making sure things are going smoothly, associates are super helpful (the pepperoni is always somewhere different in every grocery store!), and the cashiers are personable.

I went early in the morning to avoid any crowds, that was a mistake. Apparently HEB doesnt stock during hours the store is closed. This store is old so the isles are very narrow unlike modern stores where the isles are twice the width. At any rate, all the isles were lined with cases of goods to be restocked. There was about room for one buggy at a time per isle. If someone was coming the other direction you would need to wait until they left the isle before you could enter it. The staff that was there were very friendly so I gave my experience an extra star for that. 3/5

HEB has never let me down when I need any kind of grocery item or ingredient. I enjoy cooking and baking new dishes. And sometimes I run across unusual and exotic ingredients. But I always find it at my HEB.

I like the little HEB. Its always well kept, clean and stocked. I can go here and find everything i need. I never really had to wait in line too long either, which is a plus when your in a hurry. Great neighborhood grocery store. The always have specials too.

This HEB feels like an older grocery store. They play music and it doesnt take twenty minutes to walk from one end to the other. They have (mostly) everything youre looking for with groceries, although selection is limited. Its ideal for getting a few small things for dinner. Plus staff has always been helpful. The bakery section is robust and parking isnt terrible. I will shop here before other HEBs for the convenience. 4/5 because the isles do feel narrow, which is a weird feeling in the age of super marts.

They call it small HEB because its smaller than the other HEB and there are only two HEBs in San Marcos. I think it is big enough and has everything you need. The employees are also very helpful.

Great grocery store. The free curbside is also excellent.

Do you love claustrophobia? Does shopping in a store where if theres more than one other person in an aisle you cannot pass through and will be uncomfortably close sound fun? This store is for you! Do you enjoy getting to the end of a shopping trip only to realize they dont have that one simple item you needed so youll have to go to the bigger one anyway and waste more time? Do you like having a vast selection of 2-3 different types of produce in extremely limited quantity? You may get frustrated and think lets get some of that HEB brand lighter fluid and do the community a favor but theyd probably be out of matches.

Food is delicious. Service is great.But, my husband is 90 with hearing and otherhealth issues. We cant have a conversation due to the loud music. I always ask to be seated where we are against a wall. I even wear ear plugs. We realize the clientele is students and or middle aged families .Havent seen to many the elderly generation.We will be back again for the delicious food and excellent customer services.Bob & Margaret Longest

Definitely not my favorite HEB. Very tiny, and limited products. They do not carry many of the traditional HEB products that the brand is known for. Restrooms are currently in a trailer outside.

This HEB location used to be one of my favorite untill today. An incident occurred Monday evening that was one of the worst experiences of my life. I am not going into detail because the incident was one of the most unsanitary situations i have encountered. The part that did the most damage was when I returned today to see if there were any developments on the situation. During my inquiry the Manager in charge at the moment Named John B. Refused to treat me with the courtesy I deserved as the Victim in the situation that transpired Monday evening. Unfortunately I will no longer shop at this HEB location because they do not support the values HEB has come to be known for. Corporate will most likely be my next call.

For the most part, I only shop HEB for deli, seafood and produce...better selection, quality & price than other grocery stores.

Nice place to quickly find things and be in and out. One thing they never have are breakfast sandwiches. Regarding these, the bakery tells me I just dont show up early enough and Ive missed them. However ive showed up at 6am and caught the lady filling the warming shelf with some lazy kolaches, not a sandwich in sight. So no, it isnt me, its you.

I visited this HEB to receive my vaccine. The pharmacy staff is friendly and professional. The vaccine process was efficient- very little wait time.The store is on the smaller side, but still offers a decent selection of items.

Great heb for quick shopping. Dont let its small size deter you from stopping and grabbing groceries here. Plenty of stuff to choose from. I also received the covid vaccine here and my pharmacist was so friendly and amazing.

This much smaller HEB, hidden away in downtown San Marcos, is much cozier and has way less traffic than its much bigger HEB counterpart closer to IH-35. Its a gem, and much easier for those that want to shop and go really quick!

These workers constantly reflect that they’ll be there and sacrifice for the good of the community big shouts out to the work ethic of their employees they’re doing something right most definitely!

Close to TX State University and has great prices

Love the smaller HEB for a quick trip. Clean, layer out great and typically is a fast check out. I can get in and out in less than 20 minutes with a weeks worth of groceries.

Met our needs, we just went in too pick up a few items, and we were in and out!

Easily accessible if you just need to pop in for a few quick things. Staff are all friendly and management does an amazing job coordinating staff( and customers too!) to keep in compliance with the new CDC rules and regs. There arent any variations in the procedures amongst staff either, they uniformly follow the new policies which is rare and impressive. Good job mgmt! The little H-E-B is and always will be my favorite!

While this HEB is the smaller available in San Marcos it does all it can to stock inventory popular to the local clientele. Pricing of groceries compares favorably to anywhere near. Located in the heart of the town getting in and out of the parking lot can be tricky at certain hours but with streets on four sides you at least have options. For many students this store is a go-to (walk to) convenience. Meals from scratch or from microwave youre covered here.

This is by far the smallest HEB I have ever been in. I was fascinated with how small it is. Definitely a place for small purchases, if your looking to buy a whole shopping cart then get ready to wait in a long line. Definitely cant blame the workers though, they are working with what they have been provided. I would commend them for working in such a small space. (They work rather fast, but it doesnt show as well as it should, because of the small space provided) Amazing job on their part 🙌

Just another HEB,CLEAN, Isles very small for social distancing very busy all the time havent been in in HEB in 5 years this is the first one I went to not bad do like the dinners that are made up in the deli I was surprised that they were so good especially the salmon keep up the good work and stay safe

Had a bad experience was on the self check out paying for my groceries mada a mistake and scan one product twice so I get help the employee was nice and help me but another employee I guess notice and stud behind me all the time that I was checking out made a mistake on the avocados picked the small ones on the register not knowing they had too sizes of avocados so she calls me out and said a thos are the wrong ones in front of everyone instead I guess she that the we were trying to scam heb of 4 dlls. Employees need to be more educated on customer service.

I give it 4 stars only because it is small and can be a little cramped. On the other hand, it always has the best selection of apples for my taste.

This HEB is smaller than the other San Marcos HEB, but the selection is good. I did find a hair that was definitely not mine in their prosciutto and basil mozzarella roll, but thats probably not their fault. The donuts are much better there than at the other one tho. And the fruit is always fresh, even the cut stuff.

Its an okay HEB, the aisles are crowded and shopping is usually a stressful experience. I would recommend going to the bigger heb unless you just need a couple of things.

Stopped by while hunting in Wimberley. While we did not find the beer we were looking for (Bud Nitro), staff was very friendly and helpful.

Small HEB but welll organized, friendly and helpful staff.

Very disappointed in seeing at least 3 people without masks walking around the store and no one saying anything. I followed a person through a checkout and no mask so I asked the cashier if HEB was requiring masks. He said yes but she just went through the checkout and was up and down almost every aisle. Just thought HEB would do a better job.

Hard to find parking here at the small HEB mostly college students. Inside is really small and tight you have to maneuver around other people. Recommend the big HEB

Small College Focused Grocery Store, made to get in and out.

This is the little HEB as we call it. I like the bid store better because the isles are bigger and its easier to navigate. This location is convenient and you can get in and out quickly.

Its okay if you know the store and just need to run in and out quickly. Theres not a great deal of selection -or room to select with the narrow, crowded isles. Price is Right however and the products are good! HEB doesnt fail you there!
