We stopped in because we needed directions. The staff was so accommodating we decided to come back for lunch. Im so glad we did! Delicious New Mexican food as well as burger and fries. Generous portions. Great find!

High quality each and every time. My brother and myself come here rather than anywhere else. I would give a 6th star if I could!

This restaurant is one of Santa Fes best kept secrets. Consistently good food again and again. Both the red and green chile... outstanding. Great steaks, great guacamole, great flan. Equally outstanding are the staff and the owner who always provide top notch service. Post pandemic they have added a covered patio which is a nice option for the summer. If youve been here you already know, if not, I highly recommend.

Our favorite Mexican food restaurant in Santa Fe! We drive up at least twice a month from Albuquerque just to eat lunch here. So thankful Jorge and his team appear to have survived the slow Covid restaurant traffic. Last week all the tables were filled for lunch! Their Chile Rellenos are always amazing!

This locally owned Restaurant is amazing and always a favorite for both lunch and dinner. The food is fantastic and the service is great. The chile dishes are so delicious. The kitchen will prepare combination or substitute food items when requested. The prices are reasonable and the portions are very good.The owner Jorge and his staff are amazingly friendly. Good Northern NM cuisine, great prices. My Frito pie was right up there with the best Ive had. My buddy had the red enchiladas with egg and was very happy.

Some of the best flan I’ve had, very flavorful. I had the shrimp veracrusada or something like that under the specialty section and it was delicious! Fresh veggies, avocado and the sweet corn cake was delicious! If I’m ever back that way I’d eat there again. Open and airy felt safe for dining in or out!

Excellent food. Creative menu. Excellent staff. Nothing fancy in terms of decor and furnishings, but not a deterrent. I would have preferred to pour my own beer from the bottle, and next time I will be sure to request that. We will be back.

Excellent service and great quality food. The Tri colors enchilada dish with the tomatillo sauce was superb. Better than what we get in Houston. The flan is excellent. We will definitely go back with our friends👍👍

A wholly delicious and flavorful experience. Nice atmosphere and extremely friendly staff. I ordered the primavera, managed to get a picture before I devoured it all down. You must try the guacamole here, Ive never had such a delicious and diverse tasting guac before, and I love me some guac. Theres a zing to it, and then some.This was also my first time having sweet corn cake, which garnishes almost every dish here. Moist, sweet, chewy. Just delectable.If youre in the neighborhood you owe it to yourself to try this place out. Even if youre not, its worth the drive.

If you want fancy New Mexican dining go somewhere else but if you want great food, large portions, and incredibly friendly and personal service, eat here. Our waiter mentioned that he made salsa that was offensively hot, and someone in our party insisted on trying it. He happily brought it out, and when the friend was in agony he happily brought out some honey to ease the pain. Another member from our party wanted some pisole and asked if they had any. The waiter said he had made some special and brought it out. Best pisole Ive ever had. Cannot recommend this joint enough. Only complaint is that the honey for the sopapilla was in packets instead of a bear bottle or something of the sort.

Passing through and staying at Rancheros in our RV, we were trying to grab a bite before any place closed. My grandson phoned the restaurant luckily 15 minutes prior to closing. We assume he it was the owner that answered, he said it would be no problem to take our order. Now how often does that happen?Everything was delicious and it was such a pleasure to have great customer service and to be told you could still place an order so close to closing time. We had a Cheeseburger, Enchilada Primavera and Chicken Quesadillas all delicious! Muchicimas gracias seńor!!

We called in a takeout order while on a road trip, but it looked like a nice place to sit down to eat, the staff were very friendly. The food was ready in a timely manner, the restaurant and bathrooms were clean, and the food was yummy. We all got enchiladas, except for one kid who got a burger; both red and green were good, and the burger was good. The salsa wasnt the best, but the chips were great. They also gave us a few complimentary sopapillas with real honey.

Better than excellent food

My husband stumbled on this Cafe while working in the area, so he was introducing me to the Sea Food Burito, sounds slightly off but worked surprisingly well. What a treat was very full and I really enjoyed it.

We had a delicious lunch and cold beers seated outside in the sun. The owner was incredibly kind and engaging to chat with. We hope to visit again!

We were just looking for a place to eat on our long journey and this was excellent! I had the steak enchiladas which are served flat. The grilled veggies were perfect too. It was a meal that made us happy for the next part of our long day driving.

This was one of the best experiences Ive ever had at a restaurant. The owner helped me and he was beyond courteous and accommodating. He recommended a vegan option for me, a giant burrito with homemade flour tortilla and all the trimmings. It was delicious and it came out quickly, for only $11! I am very impressed with this place and encourage anyone in the area to check it out!

The food and service has always been great, not the same old New Mexican food. Try one of the Specialty Rib-eyes or if you dont see exactly what you want, just ask and theyll usually accommodate you. Jorge is the owner and Chef and always makes us feel welcomed.

Unfortunately had a bad experience. Food was not what we expected. Beans were not fresh had an odd taste. However, sopapillas were the best of our meal. Family of 6 walked out still hungry. Another note they charge the same price for kids drinks which are a lot smaller in size. I honestly didnt feel $70+ was worth it.

Some of the best Mexican food Ive had outside of San Diego. They didnt have guacamole or tamales ready at dinner time, so thats a star lost...but its kinda off-season and a weekday, so I bet that if they had them, theyd be amazing. The music sucked, but no matter.Fully Recommended.

This restaurant is under new owner for the last 5 years. We have been very pleased with the family setting, very friendly staff and the prices are affordable. The food is constantly good. And on Fridays from 6-8 pm they have live Mariachi Music, a very festive evening!

I’m not big on New Mexican food, but this is a whole other level of New Mexican food. I love it. I’m crazy about the flautas, steaks, enchiladas, popular (appetizer), and the green Chile is the best. My 8 year old is in love with the burger and fries. If you haven’t tried it, you’re depriving your tastebuds from something amazing. Oh and the flan!!!!!!!!

Never been let down. The owners are there and put their hard work into the place, always inviting and happy to see me. The staff is warm and care enough about you that they quickly remember customers. Sometimes the owners family is helping out as staff as well. Everything Ive had here has been good and the staff is always accommodating.If I were to say anything negative it would be that the tile floors can make noise travel. It isnt a huge issue, but one night the live Mariachi (which was awesome) made having a business conversation with my coworkers really difficult. Perhaps a little sound control would help with that small issue.But dont let that small issue turn you away from a great restaurant run by great people.

This is one of our three favorite restaurants in Santa Fe and we have lived here for more than 20 years.

We love the food here but the service is lacking. At times we have to wait for someone to come from the back to seat us which takes a very long time.

Excellent food, great menu and service. I had delicious shrimp veracruz, guacamole and light puffy soppipillas. Their wine margaritas are excellent, but none for me this time as I am the driver.
