Amazing bookstore! Huge selection, super knowledgeable and helpful staff. I have been coming here for decades, and am so happy they are still in business! One of the few bookstores you can find in real-time ☺️

Ahhhhh, theres very few things that I like more than the smell and ambiance of a bookstore. Went and picked up some Stephen King books I didnt have yet, and I was pleasantly surprised they had them. Staff was nice, friendly, and chatty. I loved it.

I was super happy to see a Hispanic corner full of books in Spanish with our traditions at a very fair price

Favorite barns and noble. Looks and feels like an old style library, but with modern books. My daughter loves the kids section as well. Customer service is always good as ever.

I’m very disappointed with this location. The restrooms are closed and there are no places to sit and charge your devices. Employees were nice, otherwise I would have given 1 star.

The vibe in the store is so weird without Starbucks! The absence of background noise and dim florescent lighting created a less cozy, wearhouse feel. I miss refreshment with my books!

A Downtown Santa Rosa jewel. Booksellers are becoming all too rare. This one deserves our support more so than Amazon. And the falafel place across the street is amazing.

First time back to Barnes & Noble in a long time. Nice to have them open again. Fun to stop in and browse. I selected a book on beautiful destinations around the world. National Geographic always does a great job. Its hard to leave this store empty handed.

Very nice bookstore, though my daughter was looking for an LGBT section, and we couldnt find one.

I totally dont know how or why I gave it a lower score earlier but I am correcting it. I have always enjoyed going there even if Im just browsing. There selections are huge and the staff is very knowledgeable and helpful on the real side. They are doing an awesome job handling the Covid situation. I really didnt mind the short wait to get in. Monday was one of those wonderful times I got to spend with my granddaughter. I always leave it up to her on what we are going to do. To my surprise and delight, she asked to got to Barnes and Noble. She was looking for the latest book called Titans or something like that. I think it was book 30. Its a very popular series so of course it wasnt in stock. Her philosophy is if it wasnt there no one had it, and she rather by it there. We still browse for a while. I am very grateful my granddaughter prefers to read a book more than social media. This place makes it easy.

Always super friendly and knowledgeable staff they also have a wide selection of books study material gift ideas kids toys board games and cards. Definitely a very good place for you to go and just browse around if nothing else. The one downside is when it gets busy downtown parking is definitely annoying so just be prepared to walk a little bit if you cant find parking in the back parking lot or at least bring a few bucks since all of downtown is paid parking.

Hello folks, My name is Roger Montgomery and I recently purchased What is Normal, written by Ginny Scales Medeiros. It was Fantastic. I had a very emotional experience reading It because it touched me so deeply. Im afraid I cant even see what I am typing because my keyboard is in the way. So I hope this is legible.AI was so in grossed in this story I couldnt stop for lunch or even dinner. I was applauding Ginny as she overcame many instances of depravity and came out of it on top. This is to much I dont know how to o how to do this right.

Fantastic Barnes & Noble. Co-located with an actual Starbucks. Books are well presented, and its easy to find the new stuff. Parking is relatively convenient on a Sunday afternoon.

Going inside an actual bookstore these days feels like going inside a history museum. Its almost like youre afraid to touch anything.

The staff is always friendly and helpful, the store is always clean and organized. More times than I care to admit I leave with more than I initially planned on purchasing and when they dont have what Im looking for in stock they always off to order my selection for me. Support your brick and mortar stores to support your local economy.

Treehorn Books has a far superior restroom. The fluorescent lighting here means you absolutely cannot take a dump in peace. The book selection is pretty good though.

Nothing better than wandering around a book store. This Barnes & Noble has a wonderful staff that was very helpful. They didnt hover but were nearby if needed, they were professional and courteous.

I can only speak on my own personal interests here: Theyve a good selection of sci-fi and fantasy novels with a surprisingly good selection of boardgames. I appreciate the hand written recommendation placards as well. Theres a Starbucks on the premises as well.

Hugh bookstore. Actually I only have Sonoma county to compare it too so... It doesnt have the cozy feeling of other book stores nearby, with its big open ceiling, but it does have more books than one could want. Racks on racks of magazines, puzzles and toys as well as books. A large childrens section with all the latest ready to make the Lil ones, go the Fu*k to sleep thats actually the title of a book so dont report me.

This downtown bookstore has its own lot for free parking. Dont leave your vehicle there overnight, of course! Its a big store with an impressive inventory. For me, it was a nostalgic exercise, getting a book, paying for it, and walking out with it!

One of my favorite downtown spots since I was a little kiddo. Don’t have any particular loyalty to Barnes & Noble in general, but this 4th St. location will always be full of nostalgia and happy memories for me, and I hope it sticks around forever.

Clean and organized. TONS of selection even with childrens books and games. Cashier was pleasant.

Be sure to find a restroom before going to the store in Santa Rosa. Customers are not allowed to use the public restrooms. Unfortunately, I had driven over from Sonoma. Didnt know their current policy regarding the use of public restrooms. I quickly skimmed the fiction section and departed. Unfortunately, the store lost a sale as I was unable to browse any longer, for an obvious reason.

Oh my gosh they have every book imaginable, Im thinking of going back to get some books on coding as supplementary education to my current major. Ended up buying the first of the Dark Tower series by Stephen King and I could not put it down.

Bathrooms would be nice to wash your hands after everyone has coughed picked there nose and touch book after book.Come on just because you dont want to clean the bathroom every hour you close it.And then your rude and say the parking garage around the corner that bathroom is open.And you tell me the city has someone that cleans it ever hour.Was so upset all I wanted to do was use soap and water to clean my hands after I seen a bigger on the book I was looking at.Cleanse the toilet area but open the sinks people.!!!!!!!

Always clean and orderly with friendly helpful staff. They always have what I am looking for or can get it pretty fast. Its always a pleasure finding new books to read at Barnes and Nobles. And I love that they have a Starbucks right in the store.

This store is very neat and organized. It is fully staffed so theres always someone on hand to assist you. The childrens books section built specifically to appeal to children, adult fiction, home improvement/cooking/arts sections are particularly well stocked and diverse. There is also a journal and stationary section with notepads, whimsical journals, guided writing exercises, leather journals and quill or fountain pens and ink.

A really relaxed place to get a nice book and a cup of coffee. The atmosphere is so relaxed and nice. Every time I need a book I always go to Barnes and Noble. Best place to get a book. 10/10. Also good coffee by Starbucks. A nice little shop to get a good drink. 👍

They have a dark parking lot and you have to enter the store from the side or front, no entrance from the parking lot. As for the book selection, I wasnt able to locate what I needed, ordered online. Im not sure if its always as quiet as it was when I was there, could be due to location. I generally wont park downtown, tough to find a space and its metered.

This Barnes and Noble has been around for a good while. I remember going as a child to find some good books and it has remained a great place to do so. The addition of the Starbucks makes it a nice place to spend the afternoon an even (as I often have done) take shelter from the rain for a bit. Its definitely an important part of this town. (P.s. this place has saved my butt many a time when Ive been seconds away from peeing my pants 👀)

Its not the small town bookstore that so many of us grew up with, but thats not necessarily a bad thing. The stores large and there is a coffee shop inside where you can get some the eat or have a meeting which is what I did. Its centrally located downtown and near them mall.

It’s so nice to have a bookstore to walk into given the digital age is taking over everything. Conveniently located Starbucks inside but separated by a door to keep it quiet in the bookstore.

The fact that they have stuff for loop fans such as myself is amazing. Starbucks is nice and cafe like. I literally go there all the time. Wish there was a bigger kpop section though...

Love book stores in general, and they offer such a wide variety. Coffee shop has lots of goodies. Staff is always available to help, and there are comfortable chairs scattered around if you just want sit and read for a bit.

Wide variety of books, magazines, graphic novels, games, puzzles and more. It is difficult to find an employee to assist when needed without going up to the cashier.

A great Barnes and Noble location. It has a somewhat more local bookstore feel than other B&Ns due to its location in an old building right in the heart of downtown. The selection is huge, as per usual, and theyve made great use of the space.

It is refreshing to ask for assistance and receive friendly and courteous help. The store was busy and there was no congestion navigating through the aisles.

I decided to treat my boys to a new book from an actual book store. We are a family who love to read. I always purchase my books from Amazon since you can find super affordable books there. Sadly I did not have a good experience. Not only did no one offer assistance during my visit, one of the employees was very rude. I picked up a book from a cart when I heard someone saying something in a rude tone. I didnt realize he was talking to me. Well, he was. The employee did not want me graving a book from his cart. Those books were going to make to a shelf sooner than later anyway, I didnt see what the trouble was. He could of asked in a polite manner. I would of totally understood. This is why so many stores are going out of business. Its not the first time a do some shopping where the employees are very rude. I rather buy online at times and not go through these types of situations.

Lots of newsstand magazines and papers. Many books from many subjects. Lots of areas to chill and read, charge you phone. Book related novelty items from studio ghibli to my hero academia to Harry Potter. Lots of board games, strategy games. Starbucks located inside as well.

There are a large variety of books and magazines. The staff was helpful and friendly. Up stairs there is a couple of chairs to sit and read. There is also Starbucks inside the bookstore.

A little overwhelming, but certainly navigable. They have an absolutely massive selection of books; I recommend you go in with a list of what youre looking for, otherwise itll be easy to get lost browsing. They also have a Starbucks up front and a fair amount of novelty pop culture toys near the registers.
