I was recently in the market for a used vehicle. I knew the year, make and model I was looking for wanted low miles on it. I found several throughout the state that fit my criteria.The positive- I eventually made contact with Austin Adams, who is an internet salesman at Gettel Acura in Sarasota. Austin was a polite, respectful and personable young man, who was a pleasure to deal with. Austin is an asset to the dealership. He understood my needs, answered my questions and aided in making appropriate adjustments. In fact, all the personnel we had contact with at the dealership, including Stacy, our finance person, was equally exceptional.The negative- The vehicle had numerous door dings and scratches on both driver’s and passenger side doors. In addition, there were several chips in the paint on the hood and a few other locations. I did most of my negotiations over the phone prior to visiting the dealership because we live over 3 hours away. I wish Austin was more forthcoming with the minor issues so I would be prepared for them. I did ask specifically about damage to the vehicle.Positive -After we arrived, Austin did offer a remedy and I accepted.I purchased the vehicle and love it. It is exactly what I wanted!My concern is that I have received two notices from AcuraLink that my vehicle has entered low power mode. The first time was the same evening I drove 3 1/2 hours home from the dealership. My guess is I’ll need a new battery!All being told, I would definitely purchase another vehicle from Gettel Acura (hopefully I will not need to for a very long time) and recommend them to others!

I found a 2019 Subaru Outback online with 13,000 miles at Gettel Acura in Sarasota that I was interested in. I exchanged emails with their online sales department, negotiated and agreed on a price that made it worth driving from Lakeland to test drive the Outback. (They will do everything they can to earn your business). The vehicle was as expected: interior looked new, under the hood looked new, everything worked and the outside had a few normal wear and tear small parking lot door dings.After driving the Outback, the deal was prudently completed by their state of the art finance department.Thanks to everyone involved in this transaction.

Their cars are really nice, and not prices anymore than normal, but the staff is very friendly but not in that way where its fake because they are trying to sell you something, its actually a nice relief. Their bathrooms are super clean and spacious, and their handsoap smells really good. Nice place to shop for a car, they have a coffee and juice station for customers too! Definitely check them out if you are car shopping.

I originally left a nice review for Gettel Acura, as the vehicle I purchased was nice and the process went fairly smooth. However, I am in need of an additional key fob for our SUV. We purchased a used vehicle from them and was not made aware of the fact that there was only one key fob. This should have been disclosed during the negotiation. When I asked for the 2nd key I was told that there wasn’t one and that my sales person would talk to his GM and see what he could do. A week or so went by and I called asking for a status update. The sales guy I worked with never returned my call. I ended up reaching out to someone else in the dealership and was promised he would call me back the very next day to try and find a solution. Never received a call.... I had to call again and leave a voicemail. Finally got a call back from the dealership and was told “sorry, there’s nothing we can really do”. Even though I spent 40K on a vehicle, they are willing to spend $200-300 on a new key fob for me. Won’t be doing business there again. I buy a new car every 2-3 years. But I won’t be buying a new or used car from them.

Hi. I am so impressed with Gettel Acura. I have an 2012 Acura MDX that I have never had a problem with until this year. All my lights were flashing and it ran terribly. Gettel took good care of us by replacing battery and the coil. Then 2 months later it started with some of the lights again. They replaced what was a bad coil. (They tested it in different area). I picked it up and noticed it was kind of chugging. Left it with them again and it wasn’t due for new spark plugs but they checked them anyway and it’s running like new. They didn’t charge me for the spark plugs because it wasn’t the first thing checked. I love my 2012 Acura again. My husband is not retired yet so while we’re taking our crew back and forth and we’d rather stick with this car. And Gettel made the experience pleasant because they are accommodating and professional. Thank you to Kimber who is especially nice

The sales force did a low key approach. We went in to look. By the time we returned from a test drive the sales manager had put together a trade in package that was top notch. Instead of a pre owned certified auto we bought a new RDX.The financial review is complicated because it was the end of the day by the time we started signing documents. Unfortunately, we misunderstood several items. By the time we discovered this it was Sunday. The finance manager was out on Monday. On Tuesday we discussed both items and resolved one immediately. The other is waiting on revising and reducing the amount financed.

Salesman was very good; but they didnt have the color and spec I wanted and wanted to play the game of running numbers before they looked to see when a White MDX would be available.Internet team and Sales Manager were overly pushy with offers that did not match what I asked for... I have stopped giving out a phone number completely and just use email when I shop for cars because they cant help themselves.

Honestly my rating would have been a five star but the Finance Manager ruined it for that entire dealership. Find yourself a new deal. Youre wasting your time with them. Then didnt even want to submit our credit application and instead sent us away and said, well call you Monday! Im not sure how youre in business with employees that have that attitude towards customers. Lexus took care of me but I would never recommend this dealership to anyone.

Ray Khan is the best car sales person Ive ever encountered. I requested pictures of the car and he went an extra step and recorded an interior /exterior video of the car for us! Actually thats what made us drive ~50 miles to get the car from him instead of buying at out local dealership which is less than 20min away. He promptly replied our email queries and had perfect knowledge about the car features he was selling to us. Ill definitely recommend others to shop with Gettel and especially Ray.

Without giving too many details, so as not to get anyone in trouble, i can say i was not at all impressed with Gettle Acura. I feel the service and sales was sub par. Will not return.
