Very pleased with the fast service and fair pricing on some work I had done on a couple of mountain bikes. Chris and Craig explained what needed to be done and finished the work much quicker than I expected based on my experience with some out of state bike shops during the Covid pandemic. They have definitely earned my future business.

Just called to inquire about a tune up. I have an older bike, it’s a 1998 Mongoose mountain bike. It was an excellent quality bike when I purchased it and honestly it’s like an old friend, I had upgrades to it and we’ve done many miles together. i take good care of my things.I guess there are fancier bikes now but didn’t appreciate the bike shaming I got on the phone.Dude called it “a department store bike” - well son, in 1998 WalMart wasn’t selling them and the quality was better then. You could simply say you don’t work on a certain brand, no need to be rude.My old bike friend and I will happily go elsewhere.

Because of the COVID crisis bike shops in Sarasota were not taking repairs or you needed to get on an appointment list three weeks out. Because Pinnacle was able to take my bike the following day I took my cannondale there for a broken spoke on the rear wheel. Chris took my bike and when I got it back it rode much smoother and he really cleaned up the bike. He was professional and took all the time I needed to answer my questions. The cost was very fair considering what another bike shop in Sarasota wanted to charge as a minimum. Two days later I had my bike back running in top shape.Finally dont let the storefront throw you off because it is not a standard bike store. They only do repairs and special orders for new bikes which are custom ordered to fit the customer.

Allow me to add to the 5 star reviews of Chris and Pinnacle Wheel Works. Im only sorry that it took me so long to find him. Chris quickly and accurately diagnosed a strange noise in my rear carbon wheel and repaired it quickly and affordably. His business concept makes so much sense. Theres basically no retail of bike products, but you will have the opportunity to be face to face with a talented, experienced mechanic who loves bikes. Chris also builds bikes and wheels and Pinnacle would be my first stop if I were in the market for a high end road bike, mountain bike, or new wheels. Highly recommended!

Owner and operator Chris builds bikes and wheels with the precision of a surgeon. Hes also amazingly skilled at diagnosing and repairing problems quickly and properly. From the highest end race bikes to your basic bike repair needs Id recommend Pinnacle Wheel Works highly. Hes also extremely helpful as an informal coach to anyone interested in getting faster, entering racing, or just improving their riding skills. Hes an active cross and road racer himself. No attitude either... just genuine love for cycling and a true welcoming feeling whenever meeting him at the shop, at the races, or on the road. Great bicycle shop!!! Best shop in town! knowledge is key, also being able to work on the top end product properly is rare these days. Chris knows his stuff and has a better turn around time than any shop I know of. When it comes to building wheels there is no other choice!

I only needed a couple basic components (I ended up paying less than $3), but they took the time to help me nonetheless. Ill definitely go there next time I need help with my bike.

Pinnacle Wheel Works is the only bike shop I use. I mostly do my own maintenance and building, but when I run into a problem that exceeds my ability or tool supply, Chris bails me out. He has a great combination of calm personality and obsessive/compulsive work ethic.

I dont know if you can call it opportunity or a nightmare, but I have been to 10 different states from the West Coast all the way to the East for work, and Chris at Pinnacle Wheel Works sets the bar high for BS. Best BS Ive been to because he actually takes the time to help his customers. I was surprised when I brought my bike in for maintenance because he stopped what he was doing to look over my bike to see what needed to be addressed. Then we did a walk-through when I picked the bike up as well as set the sag on the bike. Never had that level of service before as Im used to being a number, and sometimes even worst where Im from. Great job!
