The whole staff are very nice. They are very understanding when the people receiving the hearing aids for the first time.. my mother was not adjusting well. It took her a few months and going back every week to tweak them. It has been about 6 or more months and my mother always has them in. Thank you for not having to hear WHAT? 🤪

Wow what a difference a comprehensive hearing exam makes.My childhood was plagued by numerous ear infections. This coupled with the listening to loud music as well as exposure to more than 25 years of military and commercial aircraft which all combined to make a recipe for eventual hearing loss. In my case the hearing loss was gradual and is in the medium to high frequency range. Simply put, I had difficulty with conversations in large groups or public settings. I have had hearing issues most of my life. I knew there was a problem but I had no idea how bad. I always thought that people were mumbling. I couldnt tell the difference between some numbers, letters, & words especially on the phone. People were always aggravated with me & some were down right mean, causing me stress and anxiety.After my initial hearing test Dr. Gwen Dawson told me just how bad my hearing loss was & that I would need hearing aids. Today my visit to Hear Care was almost all I could wish for. It was a 5 star result. Following a hearing test, one I had not had in several years, the doctor adjusted my hearing aids to a level I have not had in many, many months. Why, I could even lower the level needed to listen to my car radio; Instead of a level 12 or 13, I am now down to a level 8. I recommend Hear Care for those in need of hearing adjustments.

My appointments at HearCare has always been a positive and enjoyable experience.I originally started with Dr.Thorpe who is a delight. From there I moved to Dr Rose (who has since left) who really helped me maintain my Lyric which I had problems with. I currently work with Jeff who has spent a lot of quality time assisting me with an alternative to my Lyric hearing aid. The office is run exceptionally well; Molly, the receptionist, is friendly and competent. On my most recent visit I saw Dr. Thorpe who is just great, on time, goes out of her way to be helpful, shares information, and takes care of any hearing issues. A business very well run, a pleasure to go.

I came with my mother who is in her early 80s. Dr. Thorpe was excellent, she has a wonderful way of putting people at ease, especially seniors who are concerned about something that is very technical that they may not understand. Dr. Thorpe explained everything she was doing (including making jokes while getting impacted wax out of an ear). My mother is extremely happy with the results of her hearing aids, and I have noticed that she takes part in more than one person conversations more than she did before she got her new hearing aids.

Outstanding exam, I had my hesitations for having the hearing test but am so glad that I did. Well I finally made the appointment that I had been putting off until my hearing was so bad that I was reading lips for many years. After my test yesterday Dr. Thorpe told me the results and I knew my right ear was 100% gone but she said I would be a perfect candidate for the Lyric! I thought this was something Id have to wait to try but to my surprise she measured me and put the lyric in my ear and I just started tearing up because it was the first time in 40 years that I could actually hear and I have missed out on so much because of it. I have been wearing hearing aids for over 25 years and have been to many different hearing centers for hearing aids, advice and service. Around 10 years ago, upon the recommendation of a close friend of mine, I went to HearCare when it was a one person operation in Sarasota, Florida. Dr. Mary Thorpe was wonderful in her diagnosis and recommendation for new hearing aids. HearCare Audiology has been very responsive to my needs. The one time I had a problem it was taken care of within two hours. Routine checkups are informative and enjoyable.

With hearing aids that were 3 years old, my hearing had deteriorated to the point where I couldnt understand what was being said on TV, Church, meetings, movies, plays and couldnt hear melodies. Working with me over a period of 2 months, Dr. Thorpe fitted me a pair of Oticon1 hearing aids equipped with a t-coil that allowed me to connect directly with the church sound system as well as any other venue around town as well as a blue tooth capability that allows me to connect with my TV, a smart clip worn by my wife. The stress associated with not being able to hear clearly has been lifted. Mary worked tirelessly to adjust my hearing aids so that I could hear more clearly in a variety of venues. Was traveling thru Sarasota when my oticon hearing aids werent working correctly. I called HearCare office and told me, I could stop in anytime that day and they would look at them. They took the time to fine tune my hearing aids to give me natural sound. I am pleased with the experience.

We had a Wonderful experience withhear care taking care of my moms hearing issues. Dr Pulido couldnt have been nicer and more patient.

I was referred to Hearcare Audiology by my former audiologist because after 9 attempts, we still could not get the hearing aid tuned the way I thought it ought to perform. I took a new hearing test and ordered a very different kind of hearing aid, an Oticon Opn 1. The following week I put it on for the first time and never looked back. To quote a friend who mentioned that hearing aid to me:I got my life back. I found I was hearing with much improved clarity, much less extraneous noises, less effort and comfort too. My wife also says it looks better on me. The part I value HearCare most is they have a speech mapping machine that transmits a speech babble made up of some 33 languages into my ear while a tiny probe inserted next to the hearing aid measures and analyses what is being heard. This allows the doctor to fine tune objectively the hearing aid to achieve optimal results. Remember the 9 adjustments attempts I had and still not satisfied? This does it in one shot and we can literally see that it is optimal. That is a service worth having if one is springing for a top drawer hearing aid. I believe it is neigh impossible for a newbie hearing aid user to know what an optimally tuned hearing aid should sound like, never mind trying to describe with any accuracy where the response curve it needs to be adjusted. It is a shot in the dark. Meanwhile, I am very happy with what I got and with all the very helpful staff there. Victor S

Wonderful experience for my mom. She was so adamant about getting hearing aids, but after visiting the Hearcare Center, she was pleased with the professional and caring staff and now has hearing aids.
