Quick turnaround. Very reliable.
Ive had my keyboard fixed by these guys twice now, and it couldnt have been a better experience! Drop off was super easy, especially with their COVID precautions, and the repairs were done quickly both times. The second time I brought my keyboard in, the man I spoke to remembered me and made a note to more thoroughly inspect my keyboard to make sure it didnt break that quickly again. Instead of just replacing the key I had marked, they found four keys that needed replacing! She plays like a charm now. I would definitely recommend this shop. Friendly people, quick and quality service.
They fixed my Event studio monitor and it now sounds like new. It needed new MOSFET transistors and some new capacitors on the woofer amp. While there was a wait to get the speaker serviced, that was communicated up front and the estimate was quite close to what actually happened. I may need them to refresh my other monitor so I know they sound the same.
My new favorite place to have electronics repaired. I took in my Dads old analog machine and they fixed it up nicely. Even during the pandemic, the customer service was amazing. Will definitely use them again and again.
Highly recommended! Quality work & honest.
Ive had a short relationship with this business through my own and theyve always been polite, shake your hand, look you in the eye types. Real honest and straight forward people.I had my brand new EVH 5150 mk3 amp go belly up on me and they diagnosed it and fixed it perfectly. No loss in tone, and put back together just as it was left, if not better. Incredible turn over time even during COVID and being backed up with repair orders.Prices were what youd expect, but the quality of service I received was in my opinion worth more than what they charged. In short, very fair pricing! High recommend.
I have used these guys several times and they are honest and do very good work
I see from some of the other complaints that I am not alone. Would drive hundreds of miles to avoid going back. Other than that, I cant complain.
These guys did a great job fixing my Theremin and modifying/improving its power supply connection. Theyre also great with electronic advice and tips on efficiency. Im pleased to know I can trust them with musical electronic needs.
This place is all pro. They can fix anything!
I was skeptical of this place after reading some previous reviews, however I had about as good of an experience that I could have when I dropped off my Powered PA Mixer for service. It was not able to be repaired, but I did have a good experience with the Employees, and after being there in person I am glad that we have a place that has this level of technical service in Seattle. My only complaint was that it took a little longer for them to get back to me, but I understand as they were busy and the repairs that they perform are complex and time consuming.I would recommend this business to others if you are hoping to have your gear resurrected. I did not experience some of the negative things described in other reviews, so I think they have changed their policy since those were posted.
Condor does great work. I took a very rare amplifier here for service and Kevin did an excellent job with the repair. He was thorough and highly knowledgeable, not to mention pleasant to work with. At drop-off the girl at the counter said it would be about a week before my estimate was ready, but only 2 days later my amp was fixed and back in my studio! I would recommend Condor to anyone who is in need of professional studio equipment repair.
So here’s what’s up. These guys know what they are doing and are very professional. However I will say that you are paying high prices for the repairs. I personally believe they deserve the price point for the work they are doing. Just be cognisant of the cost of your item vs how much the repair is.
Update to owner (with edits): Im surprised I have to explain this, but ok. Theres nothing in it for me to make up a story. I dont personally know any of you. Reviews exist for people to share experiences and let others potentially benefit from that info. Whats more telling about your business in this case is your responses. Yep, I shook the door. Made eye contact with staff. Pantomimed pointing at my wrist in the universal signal for youre late to no avail. The point is, the reason they didnt understand me is they had *already decided I was not a customer* before I even got through the door. Thats why it never occurred to them that something was wrong with the door. Im not so sure knocking or waving my arms would actually have helped, given their predisposition. As to the length of time, I had already carved out time in my week for the pick up and its a pain to get there, so no way was I coming back a second time.---edit 1Thanks for the response. A few minutes is fine. Try 2 hours. Your staff might recall this. Apparently they forgot to unlock the door and when signaled from outside they didnt understand what was happening. Not rocket science.---originalLong story short, dont bother coming here unless you look the right way, as they will refuse to unlock their door at opening time if they think you look shady at 10:15 am on Aurora Ave (Was it the long hair? Dont know, never received an explanation or apology for their bizarre behavior). I had brought in my mixer to be fixed; the actual work took a little over a week - within reason for what seemed like basic warranty work, in my experience. They had no problem taking my mixer, I guess they were happier with my look the day I dropped it off.On the day I attempted to pick it up, when they oddly refused to unlock their doors, I guess at some point one of them realized unlocking their doors would be critical to letting customers into the store, and when I finally did get in to retrieve my property, the one person who helped me couldnt give me any details about the fix. So I cant tell you what they repaired, if at all, as the actual tech that worked on the mixer refused to elaborate and I dont know what they did.Keep up the stellar work, fellas.
I have used Condor for a few small jobs over the years, with good results. Recently I took them a dead Nord synth. They were unable to fix it, but sent the boards to the manufacturer in Sweden and got them fixed and reinstalled. Theyve been diligent in keeping me informed and following up on the work, particularly when it seemed like another component went bad. Ultimately, the repair was pretty expensive, but its been worth it. I appreciate their efforts to keep supporting the equipment.
Guys of condor really know what theyre doing theyre great
These guys are the go to people in town. Peter knows his stuff, been doing it forever, and hires excellent techs. Theyre busy...because...theyre good. Have some patience, and your repair project will turn out well...
Alden did great work.
I have an old DBX 21 record decoder that lost its left channel after falling off a shelf. This device is basically irreplaceable because the company went out of business years ago. Two other audio repair shops declined to work on it, but one of them referred me to Condor Electronics. They charged me $110 for 30 minutes of bench time. After a few days, they got it working and called me to pick it up.Im glad there is still a company that repairs old equipment like this. Most things get tossed because it costs more to repair them than to buy a new one. Sometimes you cant buy a new one and have to get what you have working again.
Worked with Peter to upgrade my Electrix Repeater. Condor Electronics was always professional and timely with their correspondence, and their knowledge base on these units is unsurpassed. Peter was always willing to take my phone calls and willing to give his time and full attention to my many questions about the services they offered.
Brought in my Audio Technica turntable that stopped working after a cross-country trip through the mail. All it needed was the belt replaced. Took only a few minutes. Reasonable price. Tip: this place is cash-only.
Im not happy but this might get better or worse I took my amp there about a month ago payed about 85 dollars to have them check it out. It wouldnt turn on but everything else worked on it. I go to pick it up about a week later she shows me its working. She said nothing was wrong I thought maybe the power cord was not get the right power I bought one from them another 25 dollars take it home an nothing same thing wont work but now its under their warranty Im taking it back Tuesday . I thought they seemed nice but bottom line my line 6 still dont work . so this is not the end of the story to be continued hopefully desperate for a working amp
They repaired my Yamaha synth under warranty quicker than I expected. A little confusion as to what the problem was - the guy who wrote it up when I brought it in wasnt a keyboard guy - but they got it right anyway. The guy who gave it back to me was very knowledgeable and helpful, tho. :-)
Very professional, friendly, and technical agile repair shop. They are good, so the line for the bench might be long, but they will fix whatever it is that ails, whatever it is.
Knowledgeable, professional and courteous. The reputation this establishment has in the pro audio community should speak for itself.
Great/fast repair of my Jolida tube amp, and useful advice on how I could further improve it. Very good experience. I will use them again.
In a town where it’s increasingly hard to find anyone (and especially anyone good) to service vintage audio gear, tape machines, etc. Peter and co. have been a godsend for a decade plus now for me with quality service and competitive service every time (dont listen to the cranky naysayers)
Got original estimate for little over 100$. 2 days later same job went up to 272$. Told them that I no longer need the work to be performed, asked the tech if they even opened the unit, they said that they did not. I did not need it to be evaluated @ 88$. I already knew what I needed done. Since the unit was never opened, I dont get why I was charged the evaluation fee. Offered to trade my unit in for parts to cover the evaluation fee. Scammers. Absolutely horrible.
Called simply to see if this store carried any fuses and was not offered any help. I was only met with a snarky response and asked if it was big or small.
I went in just before noon on a Wednesday with my 3 year old and broken LED light base in tow.
I called and spoke with Peter over the phone, I had some questions for him about my midi keyboard that is not working and he was extremely knowledgeable and helpful, even though I wasnt giving him any business, he was very patient over the phone, and told me I could possibly fix my device on my own without his help. I will be going here for any repairs I need in the future for sure
Provided an awesome referral!!
This guy has no idea what hes doing and is a total scammer, do not bring tube equipment here.
Expensive
Friendly owners
