Never again will I ever do business with this place! Right after our house was delivered, we had to replace the underpinning, a broken toilet, the kitchen island, washing machine drain, insulation underneath the house, thermostat, install vents in the laundry room door, put sealer on interior doors, repair trim and repair torn floor vinyl. This took hours of phone calls between Seth, the manufacturer and us that should of never had to happen if the job was done correctly the first time. Instead we received excuses and blaming other people from the owner Seth. Also, they completely messed up our paperwork that was reported to Tx. Dept. of Housing and Community Affairs resulting in hours of telephone calls, emails, and mailings on my end to repair. This is my 5th house to purchase in my adult life and absolutely the WORST house buying experience ever. I highly do not recommend purchasing from them unless they are under new ownership that I am not aware of.

This company was absolutely horrible, lied to us, cheated us, changed our contract terms, lot lines, refused to give any documentation, and just are not godly at all. They just use that to try and sell and take from any honest person they can, stay away!!!

Chris came to our home and had wonderful customer service and was very thorough with everything. Chris is the reason for my 5 star rating. He was our saving grace. Chris is pure gold! He went above and beyond to make sure we were happy and taken care of. He noticed things in the house that were put together wrongly by the previous service worker, things that weren’t even finished . He fixed issues that we have needed fixed since March and provided us with the best costumer service that I have ever had in my entire life. Chris with their service crew is absolutely AMAZING!!! I cannot say enough great things about him. He was so so so nice and honest and very respectful. He answered ANY questions I had (which was a lot) and he didnt mind at all. He stays until the job is COMPLETE and does an outstanding job! I honestly can say he was a pleasure of having him do our trim out for our home. He made sure everything was corrected and fixed and repaired. If he didnt have something he finds a way to get it done and done correctly. Im way more than pleased with him, his service and professionalism.!

The five star rating is because of Chris. He was the redeeming grace of my experience with Texas Built Mobile Homes. My salesman was not much help. He could not answer some of my questions. Jennifer in the finance department was helpful and gracious. Kelly in the service department was also helpful and appreciated. However, if not for the customer service provided by Chris I would not recommend this company.

I havent went on with my transaction yet by me being a fist time buyer and all .But I can say this God is in the plan I hadnt even notice the sign out side but as I was walking out I seen a daily bread so I stopped to see what that day verse was thats when he told me the story . Terrible experience the whole time! From picking out what we thought was going to be our home to finding out we had to go manufacture. The homes we saw on the lot is not what we got with a custom built manufactured home. We did our walk through yesterday and it was terrible. The doors are all messed up pretty much all base boards are messed up. Plug fixtures all crooked or broke. Stains are all over the walls. They misplaced light fixtures in dinning room area and covered it up and now looks like major water stains in the ceiling. That’s just naming a few of the stuff that’s an issue. We didn’t get the add one that we wanted in the home that are theMAIN sailing point for that house. I tell Seth my concerns and he tells me it was written down on paper so there is nothing they can do. The whole issue was our seller got sick and passed away. And made some mistakes and while we were picking out what we wanted I kept on asking what are the add one and that I wanted the farm sink and the built in entertainment center. He kept saying that we would get that and not to worry. Come to find out and see when house is delivered it wasn’t there. We try and try to get a hold of him for 3 weeks and finally call the office in Seguin and find out he had passed away. So then we start dealing with Seth the President of the company. And instead of fixing the issue he gives me excuses and blames us. And then for the walk through find more stuff in our home just slopped together and looks terrible. Was not the quality they say that they bring. And come to find out most of it they said the factory has to fix and would be anywhere from a month to two. We have to be out of our rent house soon! This is just bad business and terrible quality. I’m beyond upset and angry. Would not recommend them to anyone.

A big thanks to Chris for picking up those details missed by previous service tech who came by when Chris was out due to injury.Chris came out again today (8/7), as the unit is settling in and some door adjustments were needed. He also discovered a few other things during the course of his work which he took care of. He was very efficient and accomplished the tasks with ease. He is a huge plus for Texas Built Mobile Homes.

I had many people come to do repairs on my home as I was having a terrible experience. The best out if all was Chris, he did a walk through again with me to address my concerns. He then took time to explain what could be done, and he fixed everything he could. We have a lot that the factory has to do and he explained why it was the factory responsibility. He was amazing and made us feel so much better. Now we wait on the factory.

We had the great opportunity to visit the Texas Built Mobile Homes location in Seguin in late June. Earlier in the week, I had talked to Seth, who goes by Junior as the owner is named Seth also. Junior listened to what I needed & when we arrived, he had three excellent options that met our criteria.These manufactured homes are not your grand parents Mobile home. They come with all the latest amenities & many are framed homes with hardy board siding on the exterior & wallboard interiors.Junior was a great representative for the Company. Friendly, polite & courteous. He worked us out a great deal. Several days later, Seth Sr (owner) called & solidified the deal. I really enjoyed working with both Seths.Do yourself a favor & drive the few extra miles to Seguin & go see the two Seths at Texas Built Mobile Homes!

Travis is a PRO. I’ve learned a lot about the modular products offered and it’s changed many misperceptions I had. I mostly appreciated the follow through process offered in buying a modular home, as opposed to being my own ‘general contractor’ when trying to construct through builders that avoid construction schedules. I also appreciated Travis’ low pressure approach. Not too many folks will thoroughly walk you through an UN-air-conditioned model home and answer your questions in detail. Look him up.

Bought my home through Schulenburg location and Chris came out from Seguin to do the walk-through. He is very respectful, courteous, patient and most definitely thorough. He answered any questions that I had. He took his time and didnt make me feel like he had only a designated time slot for me. He found and fixed our water leak. He assured me that he would get it fixed that day even if he had to go and get parts. He fixed everything he could that day and assured me that the manufacturing and setup messes would be taken care of. He went through all warranty coverage and who they were covered through. He did such an amazing job and would highly recommend him!

I had a rough start after purchasing my mobile home with the service department and 2 specific people that I will not mention because 1 was already terminated due to the way I was treated and the other has fully apologized and things have been resolved. What I will say is Chris was later sent to my house to complete a job that should’ve been done by someone else trim out etc..). Chris was very honest with me, helpful and hardworking. He went on a above his duties for my family and I and I appreciate all the work he has done. Home has been sitting for 2 months waiting on a septic tank which they charged over 10k for and no one will call me back or give me answers have call my sells man the service office and the main boss with no reply for months now........ Very unhappy i do not recommend only good experience was the trim crew

Mobile home was delivered last year in June and have had some minor issues with the home. We compiled a list of things that needed to be fixed and CHRIS came out today and fixed EVERYTHING and MORE. Very friendly, very professional and really knew his stuff. The serviceman who came out last year told me to contact the manufacturers for our oven vent fan but Chris was able to fix it in minutes!!! Very professional staff took me through the process of buying a new home and made it a wonderful experience! LIES.. It’s not like earnest money that’s goes into an escrow account..nope they have it and only GOD knows what they do with it!! It’s not their money it shouldn’t be in their bank account.. I don’t know who oversees this type of business but believe me I’ll find out and make a formal complaint!! My son was just trying to help us out and trusted this company.

Went here and dealt with Tim, who lied about his status with the company (claimed he owned it). False promises. Lies. Attempts to get us to commit bank fraud. Processed my good faith check before I was approved. Promised Id have a delivery by a certain date and the house wasnt going to be ready for an additional 6 weeks than promisesd. I would have been homeless for more than a month. Kristi and Seth Roberts, the real owners called and tried to do the right thing. Never heard back from them for a week until I contacted them back. If you are in need in the area, go to one of the more reputable companies. Their rating is this low for a reason.

Tried to buy a home, but the salesman was rude and didn’t seem interested in helping. He showed us a base model and told us the price was $70k. We had looked at the exact same home, same layout and same amenities at two other lots and the price at both those lots were 57k.Salesman also suggested site prep was upward of $40k (we don’t even have the property yet). Worst salesman I have ever encountered.We left and put a contract on a competitors home within 2 hours of leaving Texas built.Just keep driving by this place. There are mich better places that value the customers.

Have sent many people I know to buy a trailer from them and all have been very satisfied. If there was ever an issue it was fixed in a very timely manner and no problems afterwards. Great customer service.

Purchased a unit that ran $100,000 one of their larger double Wides. On delivery floor was damaged throughout the house. Have made numerous phone calls, emails and have went and talk to them in person. Promises to get it fixed and have heard nothing back any serious intent. Numerous other problems it has been at least four months since delivery. And right away they had lost the keys for my unit they replace two of the locks and I still yet to have a key or new lock for my sliding door. Bedroom doors aren’t aligned can’t and won’t close bathroom doors don’t even have door knobs on them much less being hung correctly. Trim is missing on numerous areas of the house and lots. Coming from a small business owner if I ran a business like this one I would be out of business.

Make sure they send chris out when you do your walk through, he takes his job very seriously and I cant recommend him enough

OILFIELD CUSTOMERS BEWARE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!They give you a good line about how fast they can deliver your home and get your down payment. Then they request payment in full immediately. I refused to pay in full until unit was delivered and after lots of back and forth they agreed. then when I found out house was not going to be delivered at agreed date I asked for my deposit back and they refused which I now know is against the law for them to do since they could not deliver in the agreed apon time frame. but house was over 3 weeks late, the floor plan that I ordered and what I received was not the same and I had originally asked them to take care of all the pad, water sewer and skirting and they said no problem then at last minute they said they could not do it and said they could not deliver unit because pad work was not done. was told as soon as pad work done it would be delivered next day so I got pad work done and it was over a week before I saw unit. then the transport company they hired showed up late and following day they did not show up at all. and when they did they did not set up to Texas code only left me 1 set of steps that where way to short and I have 4 exterior doors. also only installed 4 tie downs on a 18x80. and Ive had unit on my place for 2 weeks now and blocking is still not correct and service work has not been completed. such as all the flooring coming up cabinet work and tons of damaged/ missing shingles. they are taking advantage of the oil fields fast pace and need for units but someone finally called them out. will update as things change.update the unit has been set for over 60 days and some repairs have been made unit has been paid in full and I have one unit that none of the lights or plugs work in have sent multiple emails and now they will not respond at all. they got their money now I am on my own it looks like.

I recently went to Texas Built in order to secure land for my future home. My sales representative was the Bird Dog Keegan. Initially, the entire process of purchasing land and placing a home on it seemed stressful and confusing. Keegan walked me through the process and advocated in my behalf. I’m aware of the negative reviews and typically do not write reviews myself. I felt it necessary to relay my specific experiences here. Seth owner, Holtan sales manager, and Keegan, made sure that I picked a land home deal that would accommodate my lifestyle and budget. At one point the land/home deal I wanted was out of my budget. Keegan went to Seth and Holtan and I wrote a letter explaining my situation and they helped us when they did not have to. They assisted my fiancé and I with legitimate care. I will never purchase a mobile home in the San Antonio area from anyone else. If you are looking for a mobile home I’d highly recommend Keegan and the guys at Texas Built. Thank you for everything!

I was referred to this company after being jerked around by a couple of other dealers about 3 weeks ago. Without a doubt, the best company I have ever had the honor of partnering with. It truly has been a partnership. We showed up (Saturday), advised of of current financial situation, told them what we were looking for, and they (Paul), knew exactly what to do and which house to pair us with. We left that day feeling better but still leary, until their land agent called us and helped us find land. We found land in less than 24 hours and put an offer in the next day. They got the price down a ton as well. Theyve worked non-stop with me and the lender to get us in a new house asap because our current home is starting to become less structurally sound. We should be able to close on everything by the end of August and we cannot wait!The Seguin location is awesome inspiring. When he told us not to buy a deck, or a washer and dryer, (becauseTHEY charge too much) we thought he was really looking out for us. NOT. He even made fake calls in front of us, ording the house. Stay away from Tim and if he is still at Texas Built Mobile Homes,. Stay away from there. Read reviews. Go somewhere else. They make you believe one thing but reality is another.

This company will ask for a $500 downpayement and will make you wait for a month and will give you false hope. I will never recommend them. They will even make you wait for the refund of your own money. Not a good place to buy a home. If you need a good company to help you let me know. I will recommend the comoany that helped us. Within a couple of hours we have our home for not so big of a down payment. If there is a 0 starf i will give them that score.
