Bait and switch on all sale items.After 15 years I will No Longer buy ANYTHING FROM THEM !Bad attitude from frightened employees.Small business needs to be more responsive.Bare root roses advertised but none available. When I point this out they tell me we dont care and immediately take down the sign.I was not asking for free Anything just an acknowledgement of their mistake.Instead I was virtually told to go to hell.Never, never again will I shop there.Cant wait for Home Depot to eat their breakfast, lunch and dinner.Better retire Now Don ... 🤷🏻‍♂️

My bf showed up just before 8 and he was they were not open yet. he looked at a tracker. At 8 they opened he waited until they helped the other people who showed after him. Then was told they had no time to help him at all. They have a $60,000 order and a 25000 order that were more important. The guy suggest he go to a shop though that happens to be permanently closed . I asked my bf. He said he told me to Google it. It was like he was even to busy to talk to me. . I have been in here to but potting soil ... I told thelady potting soil she repeated it to me I went outside to collect the potting soil you have to wait for them to get for you. When the guy grabbed a bag I didnt ask for I told him and showed him what I wanted. It was super busy and he wanted me to go inside and have the lady re ring me up for the correct bag even though the price was the same. I get it . Small business, inventory ect. But he could have taken my receipt and had the lady do it. Id already WAITED MY TURN AS THE LADY ABOVE NOSING IN ON OTHERS EXPERIENCS AS IF THIER HERS TO TELL SAID . .in fact I go in and wait my turn alot. I think what she may have been saying is they were guessing she wasnt dropping a lit of cash like the other guy so it wasnt worth it. Kinda like my bf experience today. All he needed was some help putting a drive belt on our mower. We are new to the area and have been in this ace many times already and on 2 out of a dozen days has anyone even offered helping me . I waited my turn and paid and left with something I didnt want because the person rang me up wrong for a bag garden soil when I needed potting at the same price because I didnt want to go sit in line to wait my turn again for another 20 min on their mistake not mine .

The staff is extremely helpful and very knowledgeable. Knew exactly where to locate the item we were looking for as far as the outdoor water spicket went. However personally feel that this business should be in a much bigger building. One with adequate storage for excess items not able to fit on the shelves. There Is Never Enough of whatever it is that Im looking for when Im looking for it at this business. And honestly its getting old having to travel Alita Belfair or Olympia to get the stuff I need.

Going back repair or fine part

My expectations are low for this store but today was a record low when the owner Arty ripped a product from my boyfriends hands and made a rude remark of making sure to purchase it. We are local buisness owners and have spent $100s there, so to be treated so disrespectful was ridiculous. Seriously not cool.

They fit an incredible amount of stuff into this relatively small store, and the employees can help you find what youre looking for. Ive been pleased with the many gallons of interior paint Ive purchased for various projects.About three months ago, I had a tragedy with mail order chicks and needed a few baby chicks to keep the two survivors company. I was so happy that Toziers had some layers in stock and I bought four of the random layer assortment. They were super healthy and are doing great. One turned out to be a rooster but that happens. I named him Glen.

This is a great hardware store. The best hardware store in Shelton. Things are very personal and done with professionalism. Theres always somebody willing to help. If you cant find something they can sure help you find it. I love shopping at Toziers.I bought my BX23S Sub compact from Toziers. It was a wonderful experience dealing with Art Tozier. He made us feel like we were appreciated. I love my tractor. I use it almost every day.

The isles have been rearranged to make it easier to find what your looking for. I was looking for a 1/4 inch John Guest ball valve. When I showed the clerk a picture he directed me to an exact Shark Bight equivalent. Instant gratification is better than wating.

Five stars for service. Sure, you could spend a little less (sometimes) at Wally World or Amazon, but Toziers people will show you the exact item youre looking for and you wont have to battle parking and lines or wait for Prime.

Been here a few times and its an Ace hardware store. Today was different though. A young man working there greeted me extremely heartily as I was browsing some plants and suggested I try some of the raspberries on display. I made my purchase of several bags of soil at the register and was leaving to put them in my car. That young man already had 7 of the ten bags I bought loaded on a dolly and was running, RUNNING, to load the last 3. After he grabbed the last 3 bags bags sprinted to my car and loaded them all for me, WITH A SMILE! Told me it felt good to help people. So refreshing to see that level of friendliness and hustle.

I was told one price and I was charged a higher price, when I advised them of this. I was given a 1.50 off each chair. 22.00 I was told and charged 27.oo, the 1.50 each was insulting.

The fact they have product most would have to go to oly for is the only thing this place has. Staff is usually lousy, pricing is off the charts, the store its self gives me anxiety due to the small isles and product placement.

Well I ordered online in hopes of getting a gift for Fathers day easier. Instead part of my order was missing and ended up purchasing something different. The place was packed, most people were wearing masks but no limit on people in the building. Just in case you are worried about that 😉

Lame wasted an hour because the staff rang me up for the wrong item. I purchased my item was told to wait, had to go find someone after waiting twenty minutes to get my item, only to be told I was rung up incorrectly and my item was actually 50 dollars more. When I asked for a refund they made me wait in line rather then direct me to the one and only register for returns. I was told to wait in line for 15 minutes to get to a register to be told this register doesnt do returns. So I wait again for the one and only register set up for returns. The customer service was incredibly low and they dont even know what they have in stock. Seriously too many issues for one visit. If you need something timely and correctly priced do not go here.

Not remarkably impressed with this place. Bought chicks, told employee which ones, still rang us up for the more expensive ones. Same employee also told us that you shouldnt handle chicks because the others will bully the handled one since it has a different smell from your hands... NOT true. Birds have a very poor sense of smell. So, yeah, not my first choice of hardware store. Theres very poor organization in employees and in products.

Went to get keys made. The guy behind the key counter was cutting other key. So he looks at me looks down didnt even acknowledge my presence. I stood there for 8 minutes and finally said out loud screw this place and walked out. Far cry from ace in Belfair

I walked around the store trying to find someone to help me. Finally I asked the lady up front if she could page someone to help me. She did, but still nobody came. I finally found a couple of employees in one of the back aisles, just chit chatting away. One of them tried to help me, but they were sold out of what I needed. Ill stick with the Belfair store

The sales person did not know the difference between a Monkey Wrench and a Crescent Wrench. Even after I told her a Monkey wrench is used for pipe hex nuts, looks like a pipe wrench without teeth.

I wont be doing anymore buisness with Tozier Brothers. I rented a excavator from them for a total of 8 hours. It was supposed to be dropped off on Friday evening it didnt show up until Saturday at about 10am. I had to call them remind them of this. The Machine itself was dropped off with 542 hours on it. My operator parked it with 548.9 hours that same Saturday evening only having used 6.9 hours. When they picked it up he said I was over by one hour when in truth I was owed a hour. They charged me for 14 gallons of diesel gas at a price of 5.49 a gallon and at any given gas station for that same day diesel was at a price of 2.89 gallon. The cost doing business with them was 589.70$ before the machine was dropped off additional cost of 84.22$ for a grand total of 673.92$ for 6.9 hours of use and I had my own operator.

Dont think Ive ever had such a bad experience at a Ace affiliated store. Very rude and overpriced. I drove down the street to what used to be Pro Build, think its Builders Choice now, and paid 30% less and was helped by their staff without feeling like an idiot.

Ive driven by for many years and never stopped. Little did I realize how much product they have!Very helpful, courteous people. I was impressed and definitely will be back!

I was helped by a very kind gentleman. And he showed me where things were. Just great experience with him. The cashier however is a different story. She was very rude. Birthday eye contact. And when she told me my total, I grabbed the money out and she ignored me and started writing on something. And didnt take my money till she was done. And didnt even say Im sorry or have a nice evening. Thanks for that Terri. But whoever the elder was that helped me out. Your an amazing person. Your the reason I keep coming to that store.

Purchased a very heavy Arbor with swing. Called ahead to have it disassembled, it was not. 2 gentlemen finally got it apart and down to our truck. 1 of the gentlemen insisted that their job was done and it was our problem to get it in the truck. The other stayed and helped.

They have great customer service and try to make sure you find everything you need personally. And they are very knowledgeable. Only reason 4 stars is the prices.

Very cluttered very very dirty cant find stuff low stock. Handicap in wheel chairs can not go in due to how much stuff is all over.

Love this place! Buy all my food there for outdoors birds and also critter food. Love the large selection they have for anything needed for repairs & outdoor yard plants. I will be back

I have found that they are very helpful. They will carry a lot of items that a Big Box store will not. The store is very busy due to satisfied customers, so one needs to be a patient because they do care. Theyre prices are definitely competitive. I have not observed anyone being rude.

Its absolutely unbelievable how many different types of items are crammed into that store! Ive almost always found what I needed there for ANY project involving garden, electrical or mechanical work, or if I needed any kind of fitting or hardware. Its like a Wal-Mart for do-it-yourselfers, packed into about a tenth of the space of a big box store. Amazing!

Prices are a little high because they are the only hardware store in a small town so you are paying for convenience. Selections is good and over the years service is very, very good.

Great little hardware store with helpful folks. Plumbing, fasteners, tools, garden supplies and plants. No lumber. Garden center is a bit of chaos though.

As much as I love to support local business, the prices here are ridiculous. I understand paying slightly more since they dont have the buying power of a Home Depot, but the prices on screws, for example, were marked up nearly 400%! The store is also incredibly disorganized. Shame.

Yesterday I bought something that I was told if didnt work out to bring back and exchange for something else. I came in this morning to do so, and it seemed like everyone was far too busy to help me. Finally when a cashier did, I was told Id have to wait for someone else to do the return/exchange and I had to fill something out. First of all, I am a customer and whatever project you have going on can wait. Second of all, your return/exchange system is far outdated and takes way too much time. I decided to put most of my items back and keep the item that I didnt want and just check out with what I needed to get me out of there as quickly as possible so I wasnt late to work. The front end/return policy needs big improvements and Ill be shopping elsewhere from now on.

Good store to get gardening and hardware stuff. A little over priced but their nearest competition is 30 minutes away. It is what it is. Spend your money on gas or give it to them, thats your choices.

I tried to buy a $16,000 kubota from them today but they felt it was a better idea to work with some guy looking at used mowers and completely ignored me. Probably assuming a single girl doesnt buy tractors.... unfortunately for them I will just have to purchase mine somewhere else. It seems like a pretty silly thing to shun cash buyers of high ticket stuff....

Beware for returns, mine was rejected being a cut product even thou it was there fault for the wrong size .

Very nice, clean, and well organized. Much larger than what Im used to but there were friendly help at every turn.

This review is purely of the tool and equipment rental business at Toziers. We booked and rented equipment for 8/6/18 and paid a 24 hour fee. We picked up this morning, 8/6/18 at 9:42 and were told we had to return it by 5 pm although we paid for 24 hours and the manager Art would not refund the $35 he owed us. Our contract even states that the equipment wasnt due until 8/7/18 at 9:42 am.

They were awesome, a wonderful gentleman helped me find things when I wasnt even sure what I needed and saved me a bunch of money, THANK YOU!!

Moved to Shelton in 2015. Bought a reciprocating saw from Toziers. Had to return the saw because it wasnt working right. They didnt have a replacement, so I asked for my money back. Staff acted like I was trying to steal from them even though I had the receipt, and made me prove that the saw was having problems. Havent been back since. Would rather make the drive to Olympia.
