Helpful employees who make the effort to ensure that customers are finding what they need. Some items are hard to find because (according to staff) they are constantly selling out (which may be pandemic related), but overall they provide a good variety of products in a clean, welcoming, and easily accessible store. I have also ordered/paid online for store pickup and staff were very helpful in overcoming a minor hiccup during the ordering process.

Omg... in 5 minutes I had 8 employees asking me questions ie. You find everything OK. You finding everything you need. Conclusion great staff clean store. I will recommend to stop in and check out everything they carry.

Another one of those build it and they will come establishments. You call to check availability and after being passed around a couple of times, they say: oh yeah, can you call back when Joe is here? Hes the one that handles that product. If your open for business, then you should be OPEN to do business. Time is money...Sorry, I called twice over the span of several hours and got the same result. I have moved on. Thanks for your generous response. Give you a try next project....

Full service hardware store. Lots of employees, outstanding service. Prices are fairly high, but you are paying for the outstanding service and selection available in a fairly small sales environment. Silver City has 3 hardware stores. The best service by far is here. Convenient access, clean always available restrooms, and clean well organized store. Overall, my first choice for hardware, and household maintenance supplies. Lumber and building materials... Thats something else. If you are looking for building and construction materials, thats not really their market.

My very first visit to Ace Hardware in Silver City, NM was the worst. I love looking at tools, home improvement, etc.... but today a employee was noticeably following me from aisle to aisle. My girlfriend got furniture pads but, i was holding it for her while she was testing some lotions. I also had my daughter with me while the employee who older gentlemen kept going to sections I would be. It finally hit me when a female was on the her radio and pretending to be looking at stuff while I passed her went to another aisle and I could hear her say aisle 4. I was like Im in aisle 4. Thats when it me that they thought I was going to steal from them. I dont know what set off any kind of red flags that I was going to shoplift. But I felt discriminated.

These people are unbelievably helpful, especially when some complication arises. One time there was an error loading stuff, and we got home without something very important, the store manager drove 45 minutes to bring the missing item out to us in rural SW New Mexico. Another time there was a difficulty with a key I was having a copy made of, and they went to incredible lengths to straighten that out. A special shout-out to Chris, Carlos, Devin, and Robin.

Absolutely one of the most useful places in town! Employees are generally a cheerful, knowledgeable, and helpful bunch, with certain individuals going above and beyond… Especially Vickie in the paint area and Juan up at the front. The place almost never disappoints, has everything you need.

I go here all the time. Just up the hill is Tractor Supply and this place beats it hands down. You can never walk into this place with out being greeted and asked if you need any help. No, not pestered, simply asked. When you say yes and ask they will take you right to what you are looking for. On the other hand if you say no thanks they will simply leave you alone. Unlike Tractor Supply where you get ignored.Then there are the people themselves... They are truly really nice and helpful people at this store. Ive always been a fan of Ace but Ive never found one this friendly or helpful. These people truly are an example of how a business should be run. LOL... And no I have no affiliation with them, other than going in I dont even know them.

This place is great! We went so long without a decent hardware store, that I can give none other than 5 stars!Employees are superb. The stores stock is fine. Only problem with stock I have came across is that they dont have the quantity I need sometimes... What I mean is, I am an Electrician, and sometimes I need like 15 breakers, but Ace will only stock 2 or 3 of any one item. They will order anything you need without a problem though. . As long as you can wait a few days.
