DO NOT GO TO THIS SHOP FOR BRAIDS!!! Two women worked on my braids, one of them being Aldrine. Literally, she (Aldrine) space my braids 1.5 to 2 inches apart near the top with huge gaps and three different sized braids, which started as the size of half a pencil in the back and grew to a pencil-and-1-half near the top. I did not go for Poetic Justice braids. She talked over my head in Creole telling the other stylist to do the same. Which I understood. Literally, burned some of my hair with FIRE, as in flame on burning on the braid where my hair was. The braids were lumpy, not uniform in size, and all crooked. Next, I was disgusted as I watched Aldrine, the owner herself, upcharge me by $30, saying she originally said $150 and up, this was a lie. This woman is a liar. have been getting braids since I was a child and I would never have sat in her chair if she said that, I know that trick. In the one day I was there she belittled Black (US women of Afro-descent), and talked smack about Africans. It looked like braids you get when trying to braid your hair for first time after watching Youtube videos. She will talk to you about G-d and doing the right thing. However, in the one time I met her, in practice, she lies, she cheats, she is prejudiced, and CANNOT BRAID. I wont go to her for anything else on my head ever. You have all been warned.
