THIS STORE IS USELESS, ALL THE EMPLOYEES THERE IS USELESS ALSO, THEY DONT SEEM TO WANT TO DO ANYTHING. THEIR WIFI IS EQUALLY SLOW LIKE THE EMPLOYEES...CLOSE THIS STORE AND FIRED EVERYONE OF THEM... THEY ALL SEEM TO BE DUMB AS A ROCK ..
I was only there to pick up my iPhone 13. I did everything on the phone. When I got there, there seemed to only be 2 clerks working with over 20 people there. Once he asked me could he help me, I gave him my order number and he seemed a little confused at first. Then I told him everything was done over the phone. Everything went good after it clicked to him. Lol, all good.
I stopped by South Plainfield location due to an unhappy experience in East Brunswick a week ago to set up new phone. I was looking for the shipping label for trade in because EB staff only gave the shipping box without the label printed. I tried to find the label from Myverizon App/online. Unfortunately my trade-in order was not accessible to customers and even couldnt be printed out in other locations except EB. But the Manager (Lucas?) and a young gentleman who worked on 9/15 PM shift were very nice. They spent some time helping me to figure out. I appreciate their good service and patience.
I would avoid this branch, if possible. I went to this store looking for a solution to a problem that the MyVerizon chat created for me. While I am actually fine with the fact that the people at this store could not help me, I am more irritated that the solutions specialist was on her own phone the entire time, responding to a group chat. She didnt even pretend to be interested in solving my problem. Furthermore, she tried to sell me things I didnt need...when she didnt even solve the problem I originally came in for. Its a bummer because at one point long ago, this stores customer service was great!
Came to this location yesterday for a charger that they sold to me for $47, but when I went online Verizon sold it for $20. Today I tried to return the charger they close at 4:00pm I got there at 4:00pm and the door was locked and everyone just walked around like they didn’t see me than the lady with blonde or brown Faux locs didn’t even care that I was there exactly at 4:00 pm she was so rude speaking with me through the glass door. As bad as I wanted to smack the locs off her bald head I let her slide. That was my good deed for the day.

This was our first time back to this location in about a year. The redesigned layout is really nice. Our Sales Consultant Loretta was excellent. She was very patient as we upgraded phones and plans. She took the time to listen and made good recommendations to us for both an upgrade and a first phone for our youngest daughter. Thanks Loretta!

I stopped in for an upgrade and the sales associate told me that I had to do everything through my Verizon app because today is a holiday and they are short staffed ( with only 2 people working) . I told him my phone does not work right and that is why I want an upgrade and my husband doesnt even have the app. He insisted that was the only way because it was a holiday and they were going to be very busy, and I said that store is empty, there is no one here. My husband and I just decided to leave. This was a waste of time and very disappointing.
I went this morning needing a new phone and frustrated but Rafeal was super friendly, helpful and put me at ease. I would definitely go back to this store just because of his professionalism and helpfulness!

I have had a lot of trouble figuring the best move for a new phone. I have been to 3 different verizon stores in the past two months. Leaving all locations frustrated and questions unanswered. I walked into this location and was immediately greeted by Tristan. He was so helpful and finally after only about a half hour I ordered a new phone and case. Tristan really helped with all my questions, understood my needs and delivered exemplary customer service. Thank you Tristan for everything today. Little did he know, I was planning on switching cell phone companies due to Verizon frustrating me. Still a loyal customer just because of him.

You know when you go to the store for your phone, there’s a sort of trust instilled in the staff that they will be the solution to your problem. In this day, phones are a lifeline and a staple in everyday lives. Especially now that most of the working class rely heavily on phones for working from home. I recently upgraded my phone to the iPhone 12 Max Pro and Verizon has measures in place to be able to activate your new phone from home so that there is more convenience and I would assume social distancing. However, something that seems so simple may not necessarily be what you assumed. My boyfriend and I are on the same phone plan and we ended somehow messing up the activation so badly that his phone number was activated onto my new phone and my number never activated from my old phone. Once that happened, we had no idea how to unf*ck it so we went to the store where Asad worked with us to try and undo what we did by getting our phones up and running. We went there bright and early when they opened and were able to get immediate assistance. One thing Asad did, first and foremost, was assure us it would be fixed that day. So he took the SIM cards out of each of our phones and put my new SIM card into his phone for his number and then tried to activate a new SIM card for my new phone so we could activate my number. Unfortunately, with the new phones coming out, Verizon’s system was slow so Asad figured it may be expedited to call Verizon’s tech over the phone. We were one hold for an hour (nothing abnormal with the new phone coming out) but these people on Verizon’s remote team somehow exhausted the ability to authenticate my new SIM by maxing out the authentication. THEN, Josh, a tech coach on the phone put me on hold again to get me in touch with a specialist to override it. I was on hold for another 15 minutes when the gentleman that got on the phone decided to tell me I had to wait 24 hours in order for them to authenticate my SIM card. I was about to start FLIPPING tables. We called the manager from the store over to see if there was anything we could do without having to pay more and being able to have a phone for the next 24 hours. Caesar was the manager for that day and when I tell you this man saved my life, I am not joking. I use my phone heavily for work and expressed that to him. Tell me why a manager in the store could fix my phone faster than any tech support they refer to you over the phone. I would recommend this store to anyone who is a Verizon customer because of how much they value your concerns. It’s been almost a week and I have had no issues with my phone. If I run into any issues (hopefully not) I will be returning to this store.

It says the store is open until 8pm on here but it’s been closed since 7:15 with employees sitting in the parking lot watching people standing at the door. It’s absurd, I literally just bought my iPhone today and can’t get any help. I guess you can only laugh at stuff like this 😂
IDK why everyone in this store is so rude. It feels like they are making so much money they dont care about the customers. I heard one of the associates raise his voice to an old man who needed help. Right after that my friends and I had to get out. We came to open four lines but their rude attitude made me rethink about switching to Verizon.
Bad service
At my visit I had to tell them how to do their job based on my short experience transferring phone numbers. Overall they were nice but it is not 5 stars because it cost me extra time to do it their way, then having to go back and have them do the right thing.
My mom loves her phone. I ended up getting cases and screen protectors for my phone and my moms. The reps there offered to install everything on my phone. They cleaned our phones and made sure there was no dirt or dust. The whole experience was top notch and all my mom’s questions were answered to the best of their ability. I’d go there again.

When I went last year, the lady that helped us was really nice. We decided to come back again and a different lady that helped us was rude and spoke to us in an attitude way. I’m not going to explain in specific detail because I don’t want her to lose her job or anything but just a heads up everybody, customer service= no.

Not sure when you guys went, but i went on Black Friday weekend and they had everything together. Someone greeted me at the door, took my information. I waited for a brief amount of time, before my name was called. The salesperson was friendly and gave me all my options. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience. I dont know if maybe they had more staff for the holiday weekend but that is the time to shine in customer service and they did,

Long story short did an upgrade online to pick up phones in store - picked up one phone no problem second one has a hard time with but had nothing to do with the So Plainfield store - my associate was Mykeah. She tried to help me and went over and beyond to rectify the situation (it was an online error) Needless to say she made this experience pleasant due to circumstances. She is a real asset to the team. I will be returning to this store going forward due to the time, patience & treatment I received here from her.
This store has the absolutely worst customer service. I never wrote a review in the web, but I thought I share my story about this place so that people don’t visit here. Yesterday, my wife and I went to the store to upgrade my wife’s phone. We were looking for Galaxy note III due to its big screen, but costs was nearly $300 before any tax/fees. We asked for Galaxy note II, which is similar in size, which they didn’t have it on display/stock, but offered to have one shipped from another location. Another benefit was that yesterday was Cyber Monday, so the price on the Galaxy II was only $50. Today, my wife went to pick up the phone, but now the price is $150 and said they can’t honor Cyber Monday’s pricing. Remind you that, the customer service did not mention about anything about the pricing was for Monday only. If known earlier or told about the pricing, we would of order it online that day. But, since we live close by, I figured we pick it up next day. Talk to the manager about my situation, but no resolution. The sad part was that the manager didn’t even offer to make it up us in any way. But, keep mentioning that he can’t honor pricing. He and his associates weren’t even apologetic, trying to put the blame on us, saying that we should of known better. We will be taking our business somewhere else. Absolutely, horrible customer service.

After I ordered a phone online “for pick up today at the store”, I happen to choose the worst one.. Verizon Wireless South Plainfield VZ#D542401. They never sent me the email alerting me for ready for pick up. I had to call the store and nobody picked the phone, I was on hold forever.. I called Verizon customer service and they called the store and confirmed it was ready just no email was sent alerting ready for pickup.When I arrived nobody was greeting me to ask how they could help me, you know the person who received the customers with a tablet on hand.. I walked inside and finally I found that person seating and then she sked me. Her tag name: LorettaI explained to her I was very annoyed I didn’t received the mail and nobody answer the phone at the store, she gave me a respond like she didn’t give a rat’s behind about it.. Then she asked for ID, I placed my driver’s license on the table and she moved to get me the phone, I suggested she asked for Id and never bother to take and review if it was in fact me, she said I did see it from here.. I said you must have an amazing good vision to see from a distance small letters on a license.. She responded I’m young and have good vision.I’m not coming back to Verizon Wireless South Plainfield. VZ#D542401 I will go to other store.
Terrible waited for 45min and still got no service
A friend who is a long time VZW Customer went to do a simple switch from post paid to a prepaid account and purchase a new phone. Salesperson made him call customer service and walked away. She came back when VZW CS was on the phone but didnt seem to know what to do. The rep on the phone needed information from the phone he was buying and while he tried to read it to her the salesperson snatched the phone off the table and walked away. This is how you treat customers? Your staff member had no clue how to perform a simple transaction. She was rude and extremely disrespectful. Remember, even prepaid customers pay money. Sorry his business wasnt worth your time.We decided to leave and go to another store. Went to the Watchung Store and had a completely different experience. He was in and out in less than 10 minutes with his new phone and pre paid plan. Go to any location but here.

Had the chance to visit this store on Verizon recommendation to closet Verizon corporate store. I have to mention most pathetic experience I had with this store management specially with one of their manager Ibiyemi she was very rude and unprofessional even with her own staff.I was sent there by Verizon to exchange phone but after explaining all details to store they provide completely different story which was complete nonsense.Now my phone is dead not exchanged and been told that I will get charge for something thats it my fault by this store in very threatening tone.Will Not recommend to visit this store to avoid hassle especially if you are with family and kids.

I put my name in to wait & after 25 minutes of waiting I ran out to my car to get my Verizon statement ( thinking Id be easier for them) & came back 60 seconds later & they locked me out. Told me they were closed & can let me in the building. Yes. This was the manager. I said I have been waiting but they just dont give a S**t One of the hundreds of reasons why I am leaving Verizon after 20 years

I am so disappointed 😖 this was my go to store and I recommended it to everyone but now I cannot even give it a single star (zero stars is not an option, in order to post I had to select at least one). Almost two months ago I ordered the camera attachment to my Moto z phone at this location. They did not have it in stock and I was told it would be sent directly to me. When it did not come within a reasonable amount of time I called and was told it was on back order and should ship soon. Fast forward to now...after several calls to check on why I didnt receive it yet and after the continuous confirmations that I will be getting it soon, I called Verizon Corporation( not the store) who contacted the store and was told by them that I received it the day I ordered it (they claim I walked out with it!). After a two hour and twenty minute phone call with a very helpful representative from Verizon (again, not the store) who thankfully believed me, I will be getting my attachment (hopefully 🤞) sent to where I will be on vacation. I am no longer recommending this store to family or friends.

Your company leadership needs to be informed that your retail store employees are not properly trained in even the most basic aspects of customer service. In addition, they are so reliant on the poor quality technology used to run the store (so, Verizon cant even manage to put quick network access and fast processing tablets in their own stores?), that when it fails they are unable to function as logical, problem-solving people. They fall back on lip service and apologies that are clearly not meant. Please be aware that as this customer service failure continues to degrade, your company will lose money and customers as they seek alternatives.Long wait time, inaccurate data, extremely uncomfortable and disorganized waiting system. Poor quality staff.

First of all, if they had a communication channel I would not be exposing them here, but since they don`t have a good customer service and a place for complaints, then I had to come public instead of private reach out. My wife and I went to this particular store to purchase 2 new iPhone and upgrade a family plan to unlimited. It was on a weekend, and quite honesty they were very nice in the beginning. We had a salesperson come talk to us, and I said to her to write EVERYTHING on a piece of paper what our total amount in the end would be, including taxes. She replied, Yes, let me break down for you. And she did write on the paper. We walked out of the store happy and thinking that we had a good deal after comparing with the other phone companies. A couple days after, we receive a message from Verizon saying that our bill is going up to $423.31 going forward, and guess what... totally different than what we were told by the salesperson. Our amount should`ve been $388 after taxes. So, now that is when the nightmare begun. I went back a week after to clarify what happened and we saved the paper as our proof of sale. As we spoke with a different person, because the one that sold the new plan and lied to us was not working on that day, she was acknowledging our problem in a way that looked like she was done talking to us, not caring whatsoever and apologizing for the other sales person that was not there. At that point I was very frustrated with her attitude, because we were not there to buy more, but instead to see what happened to our bill. I asked for the manager, Larry came to us and we had to explain all over again, in the end he told me that he could only reverse the plan to what it was, and he cannot do anything about Human error, he was not allowed to give me any more options besides reverse back to what it was. He has just as fault as the person has for not training the sales person correctly as a manager, well if she does not know she could`ve asked him. I felt like I was lied to and ignored on my issue, why would I want to go back to what I had before if the whole point was to get an unlimited plan? Another reason I could not go back is because we had a family plan, we told our family that we had changed and that we were going to pay for the difference in upgrading. They are masters of hiding fees and in this situation seems that they lied to me about it. I hope that this helps people to not fully trust them and if they have an option, to find a different store because this one sucks. I only give reviews when I see injustice or the place is really outstanding, and unfortunately in this case I had to put my frustration out there.
As far as service goes here, hit or miss if you will get help or just someone who doesnt even look up when talking to you. My issue was resolved with my phone and the final representative from sales was helpful but I felt like I was annoying the tech department. Sorry you had to take your eyes off your iPad playing a movie to help me. Overall a good experience in the end but lets be real, a supervisor should not be watching a movie at the customer service desk.

Worst experience! They didnt want to exchange my two broken chargers for new ones that I paid warranty on them. The emplyee claimed it had passed the one year warranty date, eventhough, I just bought it last month. The employee didnt know how to look up my files correctly and giving me so much hard time and said they werent on file! and that I never made this purchase. After so much debate and calling the manager. They said they will give me only one new charger, so I asked if can get my money back. Then the manager started giving me attitutde and told the other employee to kick me out of the store!! and saying they store is closing eventhough there was atleast two customers in there. I was literally shocked from their behavior toward me knowing we have been with them for more than 11 years and this how we get treated. And they call security to kick me out! horrible experience and very racist manager In this verizon! I went to woodbridge and they were a able to find my file! the manager works on weekend and is African American

Not just the store, but Verizons entire upgrade model. I tried to order a phone online and pick it up in the store, but the system is setup in such a way that you MUST wait for a salesperson to finalize your phone pickup. By finalize I mean up sell you to other products or services. Wasted at least an hour before I finally decided to scrap the whole idea of a new phone. I may drop Verizon Wireless due to this experience.

I wish I could give this site zero stars. We went on our lunch break to upgarde our phones. We were signed in by the manager Raoushon (African American). There wasnt many people so we were next in line. In come 3 woman (also African American) after us and I SEE the manager tell the employee that is looking for me take care of the woman that came after me. I waited to see if it was a mistake but sure enough they took care of all the people that came in after us. When we asked why we were skipped the manager Raoushon simply said well I do not do upgrades and she must have skipped you by mistake. NO APOLOGY, NO NOTHING! I KNOW THIS WAS RACIAL PROFILING because we are hispanis and we did not get the same attention or respect everyone else did that was his same ethnicity. We walked out and will NEVER go back to that store again. We called VERIZON Headquaters and thet coudnt even believe that he didnt even offer an apology or correct HIS wrong.So, if you can, AVOID the SOUTH PLAINFILED store!

One word - AWFULL!Last summer my Wifes IPHONE 4 some how entered into reset mode and displayed a message plug into ITunes. I was at work and couldnt help. She went to this store and was told the phone is toast, she needed a new phone. She got a new IPhone 5 for a lot of money. The next day, I connected the old phone to ITunes and got it up and running. She did NOT need a new phone.Last Sunday I went in to upgrade my phone. I told them I wanted a Samsung Galaxy S4 with 32gb and to change our plan to the share everything. Tuesday night I noticed the plan was not changed and had to call customer service to have it corrected. Wednesday I realized my new phone had only 16gb. I again called customer service who told me I needed to go to the store to switch my phone on the spot. I called the store and they told me they had one left and would hold it for me. After work I go straight to the store and they tell me they do not have a 32gb S4! I wasted an hour travel & wait time to be told something different than what I was told on the phone. The reason I called was to avoid wasting a trip!DO NOT GO TO THIS STORE!!!!!
