Meaghan was one of the most patient and knowledgeable people I’ve ever met, top notch customer service. Her kindness and help is appreciated more than I could ever say, she deserves a raise. I won’t go to anyone else if avoidable, when trying to find a new perfume or product. If she was the standard for this world, it would be a better place.
Ive been to both of the Sephora in the Maine Mall the one in JCPenneys and also the one inside the Maine Mall. I just love the atmosphere of the one outside the Maine Mall the one across from Victorias Secret. As a dark skin African woman I noticed helpful and kind. Thats why I dont mind spending a couple hundreds. The store is very clean. They give great fast amazing service. And I love working with Luke, Michael. I recommend if your person of color like me you . You should visit this store wont be disappointed.
The crew here are so amazing and knowledgeable, and always willing to help! So so worth the trip! ❤️
First time at this store. My daughters and I popped in for a quick pick up of a particular mascara. This store is larger than the ones weve been to before so we might of looked a little lost. Immediately someone (I think his name is Michael) came to our rescue. He brought us right to the mascara but they were all out of the kind we wanted. We settled for another type and was about to check out. All of a sudden Michael came over with the one we originally wanted. He had found some in the back. He really went above and beyond our expectations!!!
My wife had a good shopping experience here the other day. Abigail I believe her name is was very pleasant and helpful to my wife. Very good customer service.
GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!! ALWAYS GOING ABOVE AND BEYONDE TO HELP ME!!!! YOUR GUYS AND GALS ROCK!!!
Gina from the Maine Mall Sephora location is amazing! I’m from out of town, and am in the clean beauty community myself, and have never experienced such amazing customer service. She went above and beyond to make sure me and my partner were satisfied with the products we were purchasing, and did it all with a bubbly and fun attitude. She spent time making sure we were taken care of and we even got the chance to talk a bit about ourselves with her. I will definitely be returning to this location to visit Gina when I visit Maine again!
I have always gone to this Sephora, the staff is always incredibly kind. However, I went recently and Kyle was especially helpful. I was looking for pregnancy safe skincare for a friend of mine and my friend had a few questions about her routine as well. Kyle answered all of our questions and recommended a few products. He checked my basket before I left to give me the thumbs up! I think he’s the sweetest most helpful esthetician I’ve met and was so happy to help.Although all of the staff I’ve met has been excellent :).
Due to covid its hard for staff to properly apply products and be able to try new things... not the fault of the store but it was one of the best features: to have a professional reccomend and show how to use the products effectively....
Always great service and great products!
Jenn from skin was amazing!! She gave my friend a facial about a week ago, and she was very helpful today. She made sure that my friends and I got everything we needed, and was very helpful guiding us. she was so friendly and sweet, and not to mention approachable. I think that Jenn should get a raise she is truly an amazing person.😊very pleased!! Thank you!!!!
This location has EVERYTHING. They have tons of brands and collections. There were 3 staff members who were helpful, friendly, and personable, even when I stayed until two minutes before close. Then they gave me samples just because! The store was clean and organized.
Me and my dad had to get some eyeliner for his girlfriend last minute and the mall was closing but luckily the lady there was so nice when she saw us and unlocked the door to let us get what we needed, unfortunately I didnt get her name but she had blonde hair ( I dont know if that helps) and the other person there theyre was Luther. They were both very kind and helped us out of finding what we needed
I visited the Sephora at the mall today and was just looking around until Jen from skincare came over to my friends and I and asked if we needed any help. We asked for some samples and what she would recommend for us and she was very, very helpful. Jen from skincare was so nice and welcoming. Sometimes when I go to Sephora the workers attack you but Jen was very welcoming and not attacking us in anyway. Moral of the story, Jen from skincare needs a raise.
I love sephora but think it can be overpriced. I barely buy anything from sephora- unless you on sale or clearance. I know I can find a better price somewhere else or online. But they have a great selection of makeup
Yesterday i went in and was asking about a makeover for my friend. They were very helpful and eager to please. Thank you for a great experience.
Great experience here. The associates were all friendly, knowledgeable and passionate about the products, and attentive to my needs. I also had a mini makeover on my eyes with Abigail and it was fabulous! All of my Sephora experiences tend to be pretty good, and this was no exception. Very happy.
I had an incident where my sisters and I were told to move, by a manager. This manager never asked us in a nice gesture. Instead she used hands gesture as if we did not understand English. We were embarrassed and humiliated. The hand gesture she used were two thumbs facing the back. This manager went on to use hands yet again to shew us away. In all my year I have never been disrespected by anyone. The simple fact that we are regular customers who buy Products on a daily base at this location baffles me. No one should be treated like theyre nothing. This prejudice act should have never taken place and till today this manager has not apologize although other managers who work there did. Sephora needs to do better so that other will not receive the same treatment we did. We were simply sitting down in the make up studies area waiting for one of their other staff to come back with a sample she was getting for us. If lack of communication between the two worker was the problem, we still should have not been ordered to move from the area via hand gestures that made us look like we were nothing. Please work on how you treat your customers. Everyone deserves to be treated with respect and dignity. I will never forget this day.
As a loyal customer, I am disappointed at the lack of diversity at Sephora store located at Maine Mall. Little advise, you have verity of customers from all of kinds of races and backgrounds coming to shop at your store! its a good invite if you show diversified atmosphere when it comes to employees at your store not to forget a good advertisement and opportunity for you to attract a wider range of customers ( Customers need to see people that look like them to feel welcome and at ease). I encouraged three people to seek employment at your store and none of them got a call back! I am just hoping that is just honest coincidence! I am just saying.
This place literally makes all my makeup dreams come true (minus the one about buying the James Charles palette but oh well.......)
The staff at this location is wonderful! You are always greeted quickly by knowledgeable staff and if they are unsure of something themselves they do not hesitate to find the answer for you. Purchase products from a variety of brands and have had a makeover as well. The makeup artist was knowledgeable and worked within my comfort level as well as answered any questions asked about proper application when I was at home. They have never tried to talk me into buying tools or makeup that is unnecessary which I really appreciated. I am Native American with an olive complexion and anything they have suggested was based off of a 3 spot complexion analysis via a computer program. I have always been happy with their service and products.
I’m disheartened that a reputable beauty store brand like Sephora discriminates against their black customer and treats them with the lowest regard. A group of black girls were racially profiled at this location, and the situation was not handled accordingly. The supervisor never apologized and continued to justify her unacceptable behavior and action towards them. From this day forward, I will no longer support a company that doesn’t treat all of their customers with dignity and respect. I stand for equality for all human regardless of the color of their skin.
The most welcoming and helpful staff. Always find what Im looking for and more!
On Oct 3, 2018, Rere, Sarah, Jennifer & Joyce myself were poorly mistreated. This act of prejudice still has me in disbelief. Sad to say, I have not returned to the store since. We are black customers who regularly shop at this location. To whom this may concern, I’d like to recall on the discrimination we experienced. After one of your employee (Laura) completed an amazing & very much appreciated service! The positive energy of the environment immediately shifted to ugly. As Laura walked away to grab the products in which we were highly convinced to buy after the makeover. Another employee named Trish approached us. With an awful tone and hand gestures as if we were deaf, demanded for us to move. Needless to say, there was another OPEN makeup section behind us. Not to mention, we’re also waiting for Laura to return with our products. Our service was not finished yet. We are just as important as the next customer, and should be treated as such. That’s not a way to treat ANY of your customers..EVER. I’d like for this situation to be taken more seriously. Equally important, I’d like Trish to take accountability for her actions & simply apologize. There’s no reason as to why we’re in December & having to revisit this situation because it wasn’t taken seriously. Please make sure to FULLY train your employees more to ensure they respect others.
My family and I were extremely disappointed when we walked into the Sephora located in the Maine Mall. We felt as though we weren’t treated with the same respect as other frequent going costumers of Sephora, as well as given good customer experience as far as the stores core value goes. On October 3, 2018 my family and I walked into the beauty store to purchase a few items. We were approached by an employee who was very genuine and eager to help us find what we were looking for, and even took it to the lengths of giving my cousin a mini makeover to reassure her that the foundation was a perfect match for her skin tone. After the employee had left, we stayed and sat at the makeup booth waiting for my cousin as she took off her makeup. At this point, we were approached by Trish, another one of your employees. She came around twice to the booth that we were at, and the second time she came over she had the audacity to hand gesture to move like we were a bunch of flies that don’t speak English, and it came off as racial prejudice against us. My Family and I felt very disrespected in the way she handle things. There could’ve a thousand ways to avoid a situation like this. We are still hurt and saddened that us as customers could be treated like we don’t matter.
Ive been fortunate to typically have good experiences at Sephora, but I cannot say that my overall experience was good. The sales associates on the floor were lovely. They were helpful, showed me where items were, and helped me make a decision. in that respect, I would give them 5 stars. The reason why they only get 3 is because the woman who rang me up charged me for 2 items I did not purchase. I walked out of the store, got in my car, and drove away. while getting gas, I glanced at the receipt and saw she rang me up for 2 additional face masks. I went back to the store and the manager reversed the charge, but the woman who rang me up just stood there and stared at me when we asked why I was charged for products I didnt buy. Sephora is expensive. youd think theyd make sure that youre not being overcharged. Make sure to check your receipts! As far as the store itself, it was organized, clean, and was fully stocked with most popular items. Id def go back to the store, but I will probably check my bill 3 times to make sure I wasnt overcharged. OH and they didnt apply my bill to my beauty insider account, but I was able to somehow redeem points for 2 items....
Honestly, Ive been shopping at this store for the past four years and I cant stay away and have yet to get sick of it. Its not even the makeup anymore but the workers! They are incredible and always treat me like a person and not just a customer. I literally go in sometimes just to visit and have conversation. No Sephora store will compare simply because they wont have the amazing staff that this Sephora has.
I have no idea when it comes to makeup. When I entered the store I was greeted by several happy employees. Giuseppe immediately stood out to me. He was really knowledgeable on all the brands and taught me how to apply the products correctly. I definitely recommend this store and all their sales people especially Giuseppe.Well see if I can do the eye liner like he did.....
Great customer service. They always trying to help me find what Im looking for.
Best Sephora I have ever been to hands down! The entire team was super cool and accepting. I have been struggling with finding the right skin care products for too long. The tatcha products I bought broke my face out and it was a mess. They took the products back and helped me find something better for sensitive skin. Not to mention they gave me a much needed facial!! I have lived in New Orleans, Colorado and Southern California and I have never had a crew care more about my busted skin. Great team great location. I am forever greatful!
If I could give a less than one I would! Nothing was stocked, the employees were standing around talking & then approached me to tell me “next time grab a employee when looking in the drawers, there employee drawers” I have been a customer at Sephora for years. I have been to several location in this state & others. The employees are a joke. As I customer I could do your job in my sleep. Have some initiative!
It’s been more than 6 month since i’ve Reported racial discrimination from this location and till today no one from this Sephora has reached out to me and the 3 girls who were involved. It baffles me that even after surveillance camera captured the harassment we went through by your lead, that it’s seems like we were the problem. The girls and I demand and apology and I will just make a YouTube video telling the world what happened. I’ve tried to be civil and cooperative but it seems like what happened to us was okay especially from management. Thank god I have 5 thousand friends on Facebook, I am sure I can get them to share my store since it similar to Sza who was also discriminated against. I am disappointed and embarrassed for you all. The fact that the lady who harassed us and got in our face still works there is disgusting. This location does not stand for diversity. To all my Africans/black, I would suggest going to another location or even ulta beauty because this Sephora does not like Black people and only cater to white people. I pray that this location is included in this “world wide diversity training” because you need it, you need it BAD!
I love that Sephora is right in the Maine Mall up here BUT the issue is that I dont live in Portland so I have to travel there if I want to snag some items. When I visited recently I was uh-mazed at all the different brands and items that they had available. It can be kinda pricey but you get what you pay for. Although Im ranting and raving about this store it was my FIRST time going there. The staff seemed like the would have been knowledgeable about makeup and the products they sell but they never stopped to ask if I needed help. But then again, I probably looked like I new what I was doing.I would definitely visit again, hopefully sometime soon!
My friend Rita and her sisters were humiliated a couple of weeks ago at this location. My friends were targeted because of their skin color and embarrassed for all to see. Trish whose actually a supervisor came up to my friends who were not doing anything wrong and told them to move, get out of here. While doing so, Trish went on to use hand gestures shewing them away like they were animals that did not belong in the premises. To hear that nothing was done in regards to such behavior baffles me and is unacceptable. My friends are well known in the community and have never done anything to bring harm to anyone and did not deserve such treatment from a Sephora employee. If this was any other race none of this would have occurred. The simple fact that my friends were only waiting to receive a sample product from another worker yet got attacked and told to move, get out of here like they were not human beings and customers themselves is not okay. Sephora needs to do better and the girls involved need an apology. I stand with them and will fight if need be for their dignity and respect. Do better Sephora, do better.
A couple weeks ago my friend Rita was discrimated against at this location by a women name Trish. If your black I would honestly not go to this Sephora. Since the incident nothing has been done so I advice anyone who is black or an immigrant to stay away. They treat you like trash and it’s not worth the embarrassment. I am white and Rita is black. When she told me the story I couldn’t believe something like this was done by a supervisor and nothing from the company has been done to compinsate these innocent customers. You guys were wrong and these ladies deserve and apology. Someone with such behavior should not be working or even representing Sephora. Don’t go to this location
I just love this place. Great customer service and a lot better than Ultra beauty and M.A.C at Macys.
Great make up by Micheal. Many product prices very high that is why 4 stars
Always have what I need for my makeup
Guess Sephora only caters to whites now. Stood in the store for abt 15 mins b4 someone offered to help. But as each white female walked in they were offered help. With all the money i have spent with them it seems i need to spend my black dollars elsewhere. 20 mins later someone else walked over like it was a bother to them to offer help. Yes racism has finally reached here. I will IMMEDIATELY be cancelling everything with this company. Stay away black ppl, you arent needed here just your money.
Its not just a place to buy cosmetics, its an experience! And the staff are amazing and always helpful.
Love this place ❤️
Abigail was a huge help!
Walking the mall
Lots to choose from
Amazing
