My family has used Southaven Auto Care for a few years. They are always friendly and efficient. They are honest and upfront about repair costs. I also like that they dont keep your car for weeks at a time like some car repair shops.

Took my car to Southaven car care to get my rack and pinion fixed. Someone referred me and I wish They hand not. Dropped my car off at 730 am on a Friday letting them know the issue and chris stated they will check it out and see if thats what need to be fixed and the alignment. I refreshed his memory letting him know who I was because my fiancé spoken with him already about the issue and who referred us. I mentioned the abs module sensor on my dashboard thats on and the traction sensor and he indicated that would be 105.00 to check and I specifically told him not to check it!!!! He calls around 1145 stating the car is ready and he went ahead and checked the abs module when I told him not to!!!!! He also stated that nothing was wrong with the rack and pinion and never did the alignment!!!! I was overcharged for something I didnt ask for and he told me to get the abs fixed it would be 1100.00!!!! I shouldnt have paid for it but I wouldnt have gotten my car back. The only service he did that was necessary was fixed the power steering line. Never again!!!!

Very good mechanic that knows what they are doing! Been using them for years and they had not fail to repair my cars when needed! Just do what they ask by getting your vehicle there early! 5 Thumbs up service!

Avoid this shop!! My dad was referred to this shop for some problems he was having with his late model Chevy truck. The truck had been at two other shops and both places said they could not figure out what the problem was. Both of those shops did not charge my dad since they were unable to fix the truck. Southaven Car Care put roughly $400 worth of parts on the truck and was still unable to fix it. They charged him a total of $811.00 and did not fix the truck. My dad asked for some of his money back since they did not fix the truck. He was willing to accept paying for the parts since he would benefit from new parts but asked that they refund him for the labor. They refused to return any of his money and said they dont usually work on these trucks because they are difficult to fix. He was never told that they wont usually accept these jobs when he brought the truck in. They took it in, charged him for a job they did not complete and refused to make it right. As a small business owner in the auto body repair business, that is not how you treat customers, especially retired people on a fixed income. Now my dad has a truck he cant drive and no money to take it to someone else. This business has no integrity and should be avoided!

I left my vehicle with them to run a diagnostic. ($80) They called me the next day to inform me that the timing chain needed to be replaced and they advised me to not have the chain replaced cause the repair was more expensive than the vehicle is worth. I agreed. After the diagnostic result I decided to check my oil. The dip stick was bone dry. I quickly got 5 quarts of oil and a new filter. Once I finished the oil change my vehicle runs well. I was responsible for making sure oil was in my vehicle but I had recently changed my oil and had purchased a faulty oil filter (a thing I didnt realize at the time). Because I had a faulty filter it leaked oil. What suprises me is that Southaven Car Center claims they ran a diagnostic but never checked the oil pressure or the oil in the engine. If a diagnostic was performed then would it show results for an engine without oil pressure. I DO NOT RECCOMEND ANYONE DO BUSINESS HERE. IF THEY CANT PERFORM A SIMPLE OIL CHECK AND RUN A PROPER DIAGNOSTIC. I WONDER WHAT ELSE THEY GET INCORRECT. I would think they would have offered the money back for literally not doing one of the first steps of a diagnostic. Whats even more frustrating is that I called them back to tell them that I performed a oil change and my vehicle was running well and they told me that the timing chain needed replacing regardless....They even said that checking the oil was useless cause it needed a new timing chain....IF YOU READ THIS REVIEW AND TAKE YOUR VEHICLE TO THEM REGARDLESS THEN I PITY YOU FOR GIVING THEM A CHANCE. THEY GOT $80 OUT OF ME AND ARE STILL CONVINCED I NEED A NEW TIMING CHAIN.ZERO STARS.

Thanks a lot Chris, you rock man!! I brought my 2012 Charger R/T there due to leaking oil. After having my car at other places, at the dealer and leaving it there to not have anyone look at it for 4 days, I picked my car up and called Southaven Car Care and spoke to Chris who was very helpful and was able to get my car patched up and rolling again. I greatly appreciate their business and know where to start taking my baby when she needs assistance. I couldnt be happier to hear that Hemi again after so long!

This is my go to place any time I have issues. My cars over 15 years old so something always comes up, but these guys always price me fairly so Im still saving money by fixing problems rather than just getting a new car. Im hoping, with their help, that Ill be able to keep my car going for another 10 years. I highly recommend this place!

To heck with them... I felt they were asking for too much money so I took my problem somewhere else & saved about $200. Problem was corroded brake lines on the front end of my truck. The brake lines to the front end are all new now & I no longer have any leaks in the hydraulic system. Im back to feeling very comfortable with the truck I have been driving for the past 10 years thanks to someone elses Indepentley shop. It is what it is...

This place were here was awesome I used to deliver cars for them when I was driving a tow truck I wish they had a little bit more room for tow truck operators but other than that I have no complaints they were really nice people

Ill never come back to this place for them to work on my car. Had a valve cover replaced and they caused me to have a oil leak. I had to keep returning to them like 3 times just to get it fixed and they still didnt do it right. It was very frustrating.!!! Spending all that money for nothing...

Lesson learned today: go to Southaven Car Care first! I went to three other places thinking I had a minor problem and all three offered different opinions of the problem which none of them repaired because I continued to experience various degrees of the problem. Southaven Car Care correctly diagnosed the problem, repaired the problem and had me back on the road before lunch time. Great way to do business guys - thank you.

A sorry ass place they tell you one thing and they do another and they charged me to fix my jeep and it was not fixed and they made me pay them to get my jeep and like I said it was not fixed they are a sorry ass mechanics that dont know what they are doing I wouldnt recommend them to anyone

Thermostat housing went out in my boyfriends car called and got a quote of $300 next thing I hear is $450 will not use this place again.
