Very impressed!! After sending out one of my very expensive human hair wigs to be washed and set before a big event that I have on Sunday, I was anxious that I would get my wig back or get it back looking the way I want in time. So I started researching different beauty supply stores other than Lees to buy a synthetic wig from and I came across Invu Wig Hair & Jewelry. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted and asked if I needed help. I told the woman helping me what I needed, and she walked me through their very nice selection of wigs. Due to COVID-19, there were indeed signs saying that you couldnt try on wigs. While I did miss the trying on aspect, I do understand and respect the precautions. I know that many people are upset about not being able to try on wigs, but I also think that many people have gotten used to being able to try on wigs at local beauty supply stories. However, I look at it this way, if you were ordering a wig online, even a very expensive one, you wouldnt be able to try it on before purchasing. Moving forward, after purchasing the wig, they cut the lace for me and I took it home. When I tried on the wig when I got home, I was very happy! The wig was comfortable, stretchy as how it was presented to me at the store, and the best part was that it looked very natural! My husband even commented on how nice it looked. This wig totally decreased my anxiety about my other wigs, and this will be the wig Im wearing the the event on Sunday. Thank you so much for helping me! Ill be back for another one!

The lady that helped with the wigs was nice but since it was 45 mins before store was closing I felt rushed🤷🏽‍♀️

I came in with my mom last week who is a frequent customer. What I didnt expect was to walk out with a wig that I absolutely love, cant stay out the mirror, dont want to take off!!! The ladies were very helpful in assisting me as I am very new to the wig world. I will definitely be back!!!

Have a lot of wigs and help a lot. They trimmed them up so they look really natural if you buy them. But beware if youre just looking, because they dont tell you, but it cost $45 to try on wigs. It caters to the African American woman, but they are getting more and more Caucasian wigs in. I ended up purchasing one and I love it. I did not understand about the wig consulting because nobody said anything. You need to be clear about that. Otherwise, great experience!

Funny enough I went to this shop because of the Google review la and I’m definitely glad I do. I had the sweetest lady help me today. I came in looking for a natural wig for my birthday and she walked around with me and helped me pick the best one for me. I’ve never worn wig before and I had a budget so she showed me what would me natural looking and work within my budget. I will definitely be coming back again! My favorite wig place now!

They have a very nice selection of hair units. The ladies that work there are very good in helping the customers in making selections and assisting with styling. The store is not overly crowded or junky. Its clean and neat. They have pretty costume jewelry for dress-up. They are in a good location and pricing is reasonable.

This store has a large selection of wigs to meet your needs if you are younger or older. If your looking for something conservative, sassy or bold you can find it here for an affordable price. They also have excellent customer service. The staff is extremely friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful. They can trim and size your wig to fit your face and make you feel like a million dollars. Eryn and Lena was very knowledgeable and helpful in finding a wig that met my needs and looked great on. The owner, Sae was also very dedicated with helping me with my wig so when I walked out I was extremely satisfied and comfortable. He went above and beyond to provide me with a wig I was happy with. Overall this is a great establishment if you’re looking for quality wigs, variety, affordability, and excellent customer service.

You were very knowledgeable, kind and considerate of my dilemma and my hunt over the week with trying to locate whats right to put on my head. I was the lady that came in this past Sunday that had several wigs at home that were not right for me. You shoot straight from the hip and I can appreciate that because you put me before a sale. This establishment provides extraordinary customer service. From day one when I entered the store Una and Lena made me feel very comfortable with my purchase. That was two years ago and it feels like just yesterday. Everyone there is extremely helpful and they know what I like as their customer. No matter when I visit which is very often, I am always pleased. This place is my go to for Therapy, whenever I need a fix...Lol

I cannot say enough about this store. I am 64 years old and been wearing hair since I was 15. I was ordering hair online and bonding it to my head with tape and glue. The glue was really messing up my scalp, plus it was costing me $500.00 every 3 months. The hair would arrive frizzy, too short, not enough hair, plus always having production problems. The hair would shed within a few months and would be unable to wear. My daughter brought me to this store, and I was so hesitant to change my ways. But I did. the owner, Una, is amazing and sooo helpful. She made me feel at ease almost immediately. She cut my hair, and put it on my head. I walked out with two wigs and ended up saving $1500.00 a year!!! I am very pleased with my new look, and this owner has a loyal customer for life! Thank you again Una for all your help

This Place is Awesome! I dare you to leave without buying something. All kinds of Bling Bling stuff and a wig selection to cry over.. Not to mention the staff who is very cordial and helpful. This will now be my go to place for hair and accessories.

I drove to MI from Chicago for a weekend trip and happened to see all the great reviews about this lovely shop. I have severe alopecia, and the hardest time finding the right place to invest in hair. We dont get this kind of service in Chicago. I felt like a mini-celebrity. Lena, girl you uplifted my confidence and self esteem just sitting in your chair. Shes a gifted, special woman and I would literally drive back just to go to this shop for my hair!

I went to Invu yesterday with the goal of buying two wigs. I’m in Detroit to catch a flight. Great selection, nice wigs but no one approached me for help. It was very weird. First of all, I couldn’t tell who was staff versus customer ( except those at the back counter helping people with wigs). I wasn’t greeted when I walked in. I stayed for about 15 minutes then heard other people being asked “ Can I help you?”. Very strange and disappointing. Also, there was a very unprofessional sign ( in the way it was worded) about people with braids not allowed to try on wigs. I have cornrows and many people braid their hair under their wigs so I’m not sure of the reason. Maybe if the reason was stated on the sign I would understand.

Lena and Ann are the best. They really care about the clients and take the time to ensure the wigs selected are appropriate and complimentary. I only shop here because of them. Great Job, Ladies. I also suffer from alopecia. Lena is the one to convince me to try something new and I am so glad I did.

This is definitely a full service salon! Lena and Kena tailor your looks (hair) to your personality and desired look. So yes, from the first day you walk in, you are assessed and most days it seems they know you better than yourself so you end up getting the perfect piece! In addition to current/always fresh wigs, they offer eyelash extensions, brow waxing, and more hair care services. They are excellent in making you feel comfortable with your purchase teaching you how to style it in just the perfect way they groom you in the store. Invu is a unique or different name, but it fits because your old self will definitely envy your New Look/self. Ive known Lena six years and she has been the one person I can trust to help me look my best. INVU is a must for any woman looking for or attached to her inner diva :-)

Very poor customer service. The male owner of the beauty supply does not know how to speak with customers. If you are African American do not shop at this beauty supply. You will not be treated with respect. If I could I would give no stars !!! Just horrible customer service. Its other review saying this as well. Those are accurate reviews in my opinion.

I dont normally leave reviews but this is on behalf of someone else. Now let me start of saying the products and wigs are very nice. That being said this review is about service (which is everything in a customer service business). My grandmother and I have been looking for wigs for her because after BEATING cancer it left her hair very thin. She just wanted something to make her feel good about herself again. She has never worn wigs before so this is a totally new experience!! So she was trying on quite a few wigs! Like i said its new so she needed to see what would fit her. The wig stylist there was very rude. She was rushing my grandmother out because she was unsure about which to get. She fully intended on buying a wig if she found one she liked but how is she suppose to when she was being rushed and given half as service and mediocre advice. Now the young lady actually assisting her in trying on wigs was lovely. She has beautiful curly hair and glasses. If you need help go to her. The other dont even ask her a question because youll get a nasty attitude and no help!!!!

Cant try on wigs!

This business not only allows you to try on the wigs, but, they also taylor them to fit you. That means trim, style...the works. They are very helpful in finding the right wig to fit you.

Worst beauty supply EVER! Parents Do not allow your teenagers to step foot in this beauty supply. If they are young and black it will be assumed that they are stealing (even if you are with them) ! They will more than likely be racially profiled and followed around the store and told not to touch anything and questioned without reason (at least that is what happened to my 14 yr old daughter while I was standing right there ). I have supported this beauty supply since they opened and the employees and owner are typically very nice. Its unfortunate that they decided to hire this new guy. He was COMPLETELY OUT OF ORDER for how aggressively he spoke to my daughter (until I jumped in). I have truly never been so offended or humiliated in my life. My daughter was simply trying to purchase some edge control instead she was made out to be a theif! Even when he was proven to be wrong he didnt offer any type of apology to smooth things over.I will NEVER step foot in there EVER again and I promise to share my experience with everyone I encounter!.
