I took my car to Sparks Auto to have a diagnostic done on it because it was overheating. It turns out that I needed a new radiator and a and fan switch. Their cost to repair this was over $1,600 (they said mostly labor charges) which I couldnt afford. So after shopping around I found another auto shop to do it for $520. Even though they are thorough and friendly, they are really really expensive.

Took the car in. Charged for testing on the cooling system. Specifically asked if their Pressure Test tells if the thermostat is working which they stated multiple times it did. Stated my thermostat was fine but my water pump needed to be repaired as that was the issue not the thermostat. Charged me $400 to fix something that most likely wasn’t broken, test the system and fix a leak no one else said was there. Less than a week later my engine light is back on. Called them… would no even LISTEN to what I was simply and calmly stating and HUNG up. Called back and REFUSED to give me the owners contact information to resolve the dispute.

Yesterday- Did a Groupon for $50 full synthetic oil change for wifes car (regular 70), paid the 7$ additional disposable fee, as expected. Dropped the car off, called back within in an hour telling my wife it was ready. Picked it back up, wife noticed some minor paperwork blunders that we figured were no big deal but now have me questioning work performed- mileage on the receipt from 14 months ago was the same, next service sticker was quoted for only 3k miles when we were supposed to have gotten a full synthetic. Checked dipstick today clean oil but hardly any. Not the confidence you want from someone servicing your vehicle. Hopefully someone can make this right..

Great price AND time on an oil change. However when I brought my car in I had no pieces unattached from my car . Upon leaving I noticed a silver strip that connects to my door hanging off the door. I had to super glue it back to my car just for a few days later, it was missing from my car. (Flew off Im sure). Also I felt as though I was being judged by a shop full of men. Heads up boys, I can change my own oil. I figured Id support a local business.

Used this service twice while I was in town and I couldnt have been happier! They had appointments available when I needed them, fast but effecient work and honest. The price was competitive with the area and the quality of work was great.I feel safe getting on the road for a 1700 mile drive after having my car serviced by this team.

Gave the shop a call the day before, and brought my honda pilot in first thing in the morning. I needed rear springs and a wheel bearing replaced and their team took care of my vehicle. Theyre really quick and honest with the work they did, as they got my vehicle back to me the same day and helped me out with parts that i didnt know needed replacement for the job to be done without a big hassle about it. Also, their shop didnt make a big deal about me bringing my own parts, which is nice. I will be back for more work to be done and I hope more people in sparks nv check them out.

First off when I use a Groupon I expect it to be the amount of the Groupon! On Groupon it says $50 for full synthetic oil change. In fine print it says with taxes and fees. This is a lie. They take the whole price of a full synthetic oil change and then minus the $50 from the Groupon and make you pay the remainder. Basically instead of paying all $68 to them. I paid $50 through Groupon and then $18 to them. There is no reason for this Groupon, its a scam to get you to give them your service.Second, my car takes 0w20 full synthetic oil but he said it takes 5w30 recommended...I explained I needed 0w20, then instead of running another report with 0w20 on it he just crossed out 5w30 and wrote 0w20 by hand. Im pretty sure I didnt get a full synthetic oil change and he gave me 5w30 and I paid full synthetic oil price for it. Im never going here again and you shouldnt either. For gods sake Jiffy Lube is right next door and they usually charge $65-$70 for an oil change and they know what they are doing.

Ive been coming to this location for a while. It started out with me using one of their Groupons, and it was totally worth it. The service is exceptional. They always have time to get me in. I keep coming back to this place for my oil and transmission fluid changes. Definitely a place worth keeping on your list for Auto Care.

These people have done a very good job on my old Honda. Their shop rate is reasonable and you can supply the parts. I shipped a crate transmission to Sparks Auto Care and they pulled my old transmission and installed the new one for a very fair price.

I will recommend this shop to any person in need of any type of car repair. Given that I am a female, I never felt intimidated nor obligated to get their the services that they were advising to get (because other shops are pushy with female customers). They always do an amazing job whether it be something small like an oil change or something more complex like an engine swap. Great place!

Sparks Auto Care is AMAZING.I needed some hoses and my oil pan replaced, they had it done in 4 hours. They even picked me up from my house when they were finished. Id give a million stars if I could. This is the only auto shop I will ever take my vehicles to.SM

Brought my car in for an alignment, techs did great job on the alignment, charged a great rate, and had me out the door in a timely manner! However, my car is lowered, and when the tech finished he carelessly backed off the rack way too fast and my fender and bumper got pretty messed up. I didnt notice how bad it was until I got back to work. I drove back to the shop and the manager was very understanding of the situation. They immediately put my car back up in the air and fixed the damage the tech caused. Unbeatable customer service! Will be back in the future for all my auto needs.

Wow! Our regular car repair choice closed, so we tried Sparks Auto Care (since its near our home) We found them honest with fast service. WE tend to have ooold cars...always a little something to repair on one of them! Luckily we feel comfortable visiting them again

This is one of the few shops in town that are willing to fix components instead of replacing everything. Smart technicians open the capabilities for them to do many types of repairs. I have never been more comfortable sending in my family to a shop than I am with this shop. Timely repair and knowledgeable staff. Ernesto was helpful and even listened to my dad talk, in my dads words, old man talk and offered reassurance when we dropped off the truck. Our vehicles are important parts of my families daily lives and the down time for repair -was not even noticeable. Victor and Gabe were helpful and enjoyed small talk which made this more of a personal feel than a business experience. I would hands down recommend this place to anyone.

Could use some more friendly customer service

Was on a road trip and needed an oil change. I bought oil and a filter from AutoZone and they recommended this repair shop across the street. So being new to the area I took their advice and called Alpha repair shop and spoke to Victor. He quoted me the price of $15 to do my oil change with my own oil and filter. That is a great deal! They were fast and courteous. Nice guys!

Love it here! Its the only place I trust going. The owners treat you with respect excluding every single employee that works there. I love how they explan what needs done so you understand and think you are wasting your money and will even tell you when something isnt a priority even if that means they lose money.

I would say, nothing but the best!Those guys will take care of you vehicle at an affordable price. I totally recommend them, Victor has been servicing my vehicle for a few years now and have not had any problems with it. I love them:)

This shop is amazing and goes above and beyond trying to help you. They genuinely care about their customers. Ive had trouble with many shops in Reno/Sparks but this shop blows them out of the water. Everyone is extremely friendly and willing to explain things to you and wirk with you. Will defintley return here for all my auto care in the future.

Great prices for services, friendly staff and very professional. I felt very welcomed and I can really trust these guys I always come here for all my cars needs never once I had a problem or complaint. These guys are legit. I went in with messed up suspension and a somber knowledge that I couldnt fix it myself. This shop fixed my rear wheel up proper and only charged me $50. I thought I was dreaming. Regardless, they get a kick-butt review and are my new go-to mechanic. Do reccomend.

I went to get a quote to get some work done on my car. They seemed a little bit high to me so I went and got another estimate for the work. Came in with a bad alternator they replaced the alternator with a bad alternator which seized and broke within 50 miles. Brought it back they put in a new alternator replaced my serpentine belt shich was shredded by their faulty part 30 miles later serpentine belt is shredding and coiling around the radiator fan. Brought it back again the put a new belt on told me it was good to go belt shredds 30 miles down the road. Bring it back a third time they tell me ah the bracket for the radiator pulley is bad cutting you a deal its 500 dollars to fix. Never once before the worked on it did i have the serpentine belt fall off or shred. Lesson learned theyll damage your vehicle and charge you to fix. I tried to appeal to theyre integrity in vain for sparks auto care has none. The certainly dont CARE about the quality of their work. 0/5 Should have just replaced the alternator myself instead of looking for a professional job.

Took my Trailblazer with idle problem and I notice they really took their time doing the diagnostic. Meaning they want it to make sure they had an accurate diagnostic, wow Im impressed right on the spot. Very professional crew and polite no hassling or anything straight to the point. I highly recommend them and how fast they fixed my car, outstanding. I first stop at Ticos on the McCarran side and he did not nothing but put this shop down, I guess jokes on you Tico. Very happy with the results my car is fixed and running perfectly. Gracias boys.
