Great selection of healthy and alternative food. Helpful and always friendly staff. A wee bit pricier than Rosauers.
I love having this little co-op right in the heart of downtown. The staff is so friendly, and their deli makes a delicious assortment of food. They have a great vegan selection, as well as a huge selection of local beers and ciders. They also carry a lot of health/beauty items, and some local handmade goods as well. I love stopping by for their $3 dinner on Thursdays. The portions are a bit small so I usually buy two, but its still a killer deal!
Main Market has been a favorite of ours for many years. Today it was such a pleasure to enjoy their vegan desserts and fresh plump berries. Thank you main Market I feel so nourished and cared for! After four days on the road, I truly appreciate well prepared vegan foods.
Another trendy expensive uptight health food store. Much like Trader Joes or Whole Foods. Providing healthy food to the community shouldnt cost the community members 50%-75% more. Co-op member or not. This is so hypocritical to the messaging these places put out...Places like this set back the organic and local movement and turn it into a high class joke to the masses of people who cant or wouldnt shop there because of the price gouging and frankly, co-shopper snobbery. You can feel the disdain coming off of other customers if you look poor or have dirt on your clothes. A nice Dont talk to me, I have no interest in you kind of flavor. A very community oriented feeling...not. Organic and local should actually take LESS growing inputs (no chemical fertilizers/pesticides/herbicides, no industrial big ag combine equipment & maintenance, etc) and LESS transport cost (less fuel, wear and tear, and less product loss, so fruits can actually be just-before-ripe upon delivery and not brick hard) and therefor DOESNT pass through to the consumers..MORE THAN 1 CLASS SHOULD BE ABLE TO SHOP LOCAL & ORGANIC...but Im beginning to realize maybe thats the purpose of these kind of stores.. I think theyre meant to weed out the lower, dirty class so wealthy peeps can feel special about their role in the world, where they can virtue signal buying local to all their friends who also shop there...Good front though. Fresh, whole, local foods should cost market price or better. I STILL see no ugly fruits or veggies or offcut meats at these kind of groceries..its quite a sham/e. These types of groceries drive up the cost of organic and local products because farmers know what kind of price people are willing pay in these high class settings. So instead of selling to grocers at market price, they flock to uppity grocery stores first. Then at typical grocers, still sell at higher prices because of organic trendiness...cause everyone thinks they wish they could shop at Main Market Co-op...Then the produce doesnt really sell well, so the local and organic sections in typical groceries are small and unappealing in both price and selection..and so the cycle goes on. And big ag continues to mock the sustainable farming movement and no one really takes it serious cause normal people cant really afford it. I dont blame the farmers who need to sell their produce or suffer..I blame the uppity, trendy people who dont understand why people eat badly in the first place..and cant shop alongside the poor without an aura of disgust for their presence. You have stolen the market for eating local and organic, for local people, just like California people who move to Boise, spend money like they just found it, and drive up housing prices for locals... ..and 6.99 for a 12pack of La Croix soda waters, ooh but on sale for 4.50? Really?..Now thats some high class privelege if you ask me. Hope the fake sales help you all feel better. I give two stars cause I found 2 items I was looking for, within walking distance of the hotel. The checkout clerk was nice...no other employees talked to me.
Super selection and very friendly and helpful staff. Nice local organic veggie selection as well.
I really wish that they had not wasted so much space on the ginormous refrigerators, but they have some great specialty items :-) I still love supporting them.
Awesome natural store! A tad bit pricey however, but what is cheap anymore? Nice people and wonderful environment to shop in!
Support Local: produce, groceries, handmade little gifts, friendly cashiers! Stop here before you leave this sweet little village, of shops & restaurants, within the larger village of Spokane.Im sure youll find some little something to take home with you.
Reminds me coops in my local town while I was growing up. A small market but you can find high quality organic food both local and ethnic. The salad bar, daily cookies and bread, tea and cheese selection; everything is great. You can also get some bulk items, bring your jars and bags to fill them up with local honey, detergent and meat products
Long time customer, great atmosphere, large selection.:-)
Good salad bar, craft beer singles, and great cheese. What more do you need? Its a great little grocery store.
My favorite grocery store. It is small, but with a great selection of healthy, whole foods. Please share your patronage with these wonderful people, and become a member of the co-op for more benefits. Its worth it
Love knowing that I can support my local economy and buy quality products conveniently in one spot. The staff have always been friendly, I can find what I want in the cozy but well-stocked space, and the deli makes it smell delicious whenever I go in, even with a mask.Well worth the effort to get Downtown, especially amidst the pandemic when supporting local businesses is so valuable. Im very happy with my experiences and strongly encourage anyone who values quality and recognizes the value of buying local.
Got the best cookies Ive ever had in my life here today! Each one has its entire own fabulousness! Lemon creme, chocolate brownie cream, lime crema, raspberry cream, OMG I will be going back for these absolutely and everything else because of the quality Ive experienced NOW!
The vegan baked goods they make on site are to die for!!! The cupcakes (chocolate and vanilla), and cinnamon swirl coffee cake are my favorites.
The best local place comparable to an organic farmers market, with fair prices for seasonal produce. Love their focus on sustainability and community with affordable memberships.
If I lived in the area I would definitely belong to this co-op. I was very pleased to find every item I was in need of when I stopped in for a few things.
Friendly staff. Reasonable and fair pricing on almost everything they have
Wonderful service, great people, and wholesome products in a becoming environment. 😁👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
Outstanding and a community treasure. The staff is fantastic, welcoming and so well versed in all the product lines. The New Leaf cafe is a great idea and the staff very nice. Bakery goods are fabulous - croissants, scones, cookies, turnovers and more. Handmade pizza and other dishes to bake at home. For those looking for vegan or gluten free - they will find selections. Recommend.
10/10 very friendly and helpful staff; great prices and they welcome everyone! No judgements! spectuclarly clean; and the most organic food in town! A must visit for anyone. The solar panels and green house on the top of the roof is a very amazing bonus. Going leaves me very happy when Im there and after! :)
High quality food and staff. I drive 20 minutes out of my way to shop here and wouldn’t dream of going anywhere else.
I adore Main Market. From the amazing local produce and foods I can feel good about, to the friendly staff. Every time I visit its 5 stars from me. Today I ran in to get some birthday presents from the little mercantile section and the had such amazing and cute things. Thanks guys!
What a nice friendly place! I dont make it here often, as its definitely out of the way, but its a great place. Typical co-op style and well stocked, for a small store.
Good local products and very nice staff!
ABSolutely Beautiful Place, Very ZEN to Shop w/ seating
Fun place to shop for hard to find items.
Sometimes I stop here to shop, its has great selection for a small market, really nice selection of organic fresh produce. Found the inspiration for the locals.that arent scared of grains.
Quick $3 dinner sitting on the back patio listening to young man play guitar awesome dinner
Small but well stocked. Bulk candy, rice, beans, pasta, coffee beans, cleaning products and personal care products. Organic and vegan options. Their in-house made bagels are the best I have ever tasted! They have a small selection of beer and wine and I was impressed that they had Belching Beavers Peanut Butter Milk Stout, my girlfriends favorite. I liked how many local vegetables were available and their fresh meat choices while small looked great. They had a huge selection of frozen meat. The staff was friendly, particularly Hayden, my cashier, he had me out the door in no time.
Love this place! One of the best grocery store in Spokane! They have a large selection of very healthy and wholesome food. Their bakery and deli sandwiches are incredible. I can’t wait for their hot food station to reopen and bring back $3 Tuesday dinners.
If youre into shopping at co-ops then youll love this one.
Just gotta love that super friendly staff st the Main Market! Hayden your craft beer recommendations are consistently spot on. By the way if you havent tried the new selection of local spice blends you owe it to yourself to pick up the Korean Barbeque blend from Spokane Spice. It makes a great dry rub for tofu and tempeh . I even put a bit of it into my snickerdoodle dough. Awesome kick to an already great recipe. Thanks again Main Markey for keeping it local. And if you havent already consider becoming a member. The savings will more than offset the membership costs. I really appreciate the fact you are reading my reviews. Have fun and stay safe!
Great store. Great cause. Shop local. Great staff. And awesome healthy products.
Big fan of their quality produce and customer service
Great variety of fresh, local groceries!
Not a huge market, but a great selection of goods. Very friendly staff. We will definitely return!
Nice selection of food and spirits.
Excellent variety and service!
If you dont shop at Main Market youre missing out. Incredible locally sourced organic produce and a bulk section with awesome coffees, flours, and snacks. Their deli makes amazing soups, salads, and otherwise great food. Try the smoked mozzarella pasta salad.
Nice but way over priced and the staff think way to highly of themselves insteading of providing good customer service.
Nice co-op with excellent produce and pretty good shopping selection. However it is on the verge of too pricey particularly for many people who live nearby. Definitely a great store though and as far as hip co-ops go the holier-than-thou hipster attitude doesnt get too out of control from the workers (oh its there though)
Love the atmosphere and the fact that its a co-op.
Really nice selection, clean store
Very friendly staff and excellent food
The fresh foods, and variety are second to none in Spokane.
Great deli items, interesting selection.
Good co-op, good location. The prices for salads have gone up but other than that its a good store.
Closed over an hour before closing time. No other store nearby
This place has a great selection from lots of local vendors. Theres a super cool cheese island and a good beer selection. They have weekly deals and their deli is great too. My favorite thing is their tofu banh mi.
Such bulk! Wonderful place with all the healthy foods, produce, and bulk soaps. Staff is very nice.
A place to pick up something to eat.
Love the local selection on cheese from deer park.
Very nice little market in downtown Spokane. Friendly employees and great selection of organic items
Friendly and cordial staff, really good selection for such a small store. A good friend of mine works behind the deli, go say hi
Nice pleasant friendly people.
Love this place! Great stuff, great staff!!!
All good!
Absolutely amazing! One of my favorite local businesses. They have an amazing selection of organic, local, and otherwise ethical products. Their bakery and deli and fantastic as well!
I love a good co-op, and this was no exception. we decided to save a little money on food by stocking up on breakfast food and snacks. this was a cute store with lots of things to fit our needs. we came by again to get snacks for the plane ride home. sadly, TSA took my peanut butter, but it was fun while it lasted.
Great selections, friendly staff and love the freshness of everything
Hippy vibe I s a little creepy but people are very friendly. Salad bar is great.
Love this store!
Good spot for high quality, organic groceries downtown. The prices for basics are reasonable, but most products are more expensive (but worth the price). I always enjoy the deli. There is a variety of vegan, vegetarian, and omnivore options. On Thursday nights the deli runs a $3.00 dinner special (omnivore and vegan options available) and the meal I tried was small, but satisfying. The staff are always helpful and friendly. I only wish the store opened earlier; would be a great breakfast spot before work!EDIT: Thanks for your response, Main Market! I typically start work around 8, so an opening time of 7 gives me enough time to enjoy some breakfast and grab a lunch from the deli on the way to work. Appreciate the care you have for your customers.
Beautiful fun shopping center strip
Love this co-op!
Co-op is always rewarding. Anvil coffees by the bucket load. Always great to visit. Miss the salad bar!
I love the hippie direction of the Feng this market gently swings us patrons! Organically very cool veggies, salad bar and internationally prepared dishes that melt in the mouth. Chefs are diversitys epitome! Adventure of the taste buds along with customer service extremely nice, get yourself some grub today!
They got some good stuff
Spokanes co-op! This place is great. Organic salad bar, great cheese selection, great deli, local eggs and meat... Where I go for ethical options also great body care!
Great little natural/organic downtown. The salad bar is on point but for the time being is not in service. (Pandemic times) they have really good pre made deli items, a nice selection of speciality meats and cheeses, great produce, and my favorite...outstanding craft beer. Go check em out!
I was really impressed with the Main Markets response to COVID-19 until today. The Board President saying that they will not be enforcing the new mask mandate has officially lost all future business from me. Curb side pick-up (as Martee recommends on her Facebook page) does not matter if customers are going through the store without masks and coughing or sneezing on things. Its not about being bothered, its about protecting one another.
I go here for produce, bulk, meats, yogurts, and such. They get some good quality produce, and have good local animal based products. The bulk section has most of what I want. The people are nice. Why not 4 stars, or maybe 5? The Deli. The sandwiches have basically nothing in them. The Ruben looks appetizing but is more like a kids sandwich. The lentils arent all the way cooked in their lentil hummus. They just have no idea how to run a Deli at all.
Good place to source local, organic food and get to know your farmers. Love their 3 dollar Thursday dinners. They definitely fill an important need in Spokane and they are worth the prices.
Excellent organic food shopping. Reasonable prices for coop members and regular shoppers alike. They offer a wide assortment of items to choose from. They also have offerings in bulk. Also be sure to visit their deli for a grand assortment of salads, meats, and cheeses. Its well worth a visit and the atmosphere is always pleasant.
Yummy healthy food. i wish Post Falls had a health food store.
Love this place! Salad bar is so yummy! Super Fresh and healthy, with fun new offerings every time I go. Deli is incredible. Staff so friendly. Reasonably priced. Lots of great sales and clearance items throughout the store. Even the water tastes better here! I love the outdoor seating when the weather is nice.
This is a great place to shop for groceries or grab a bite to eat. They support local farmers and even grow produce on their roof. They have lots of vegan items here also. If you decide to grab a bite here they have vegan options available also. They have a special dinner once a week that is reasonably priced, although I’m not sure if the low price is for members only as I have not tried it yet. Their food prices are a little high, but it is quality organic food for the most part. Nice deli, salad bar, and hot bar. You should try this place I don’t think you’ll disappointed. ADDENDUM: Just got a reply to my review and it is a community dinner every Thursday and it’s for everyone and the cost is three dollars.
Fresh, delicious options. I had a super yummy sesame tofu salad from there today. The store is kept clean and the workers are very friendly. Conner helped me today and he was very kind.
Great place to grab a bite and pick up great local ingredients !!!
Great peanut butter! Im so glad to have this co-op in Spokane. The bulk section is pretty awesome, as well as the selection (and prices) of organic vegetables. The salad bar always has good choices as well. The employee / owners are friendly and helpful as well. Definitely worth a stop!
This place is great for the vegan on the go. They have a great labeling system. Please give them a try.the deli is top notch and at a price point I dare you to try and beat. Wonderful to find a place like this when visiting a new town. They even have desert!!! May I recommend the chocolate pie.
My favorite place to buy groceries and enjoy the local vibe.I appreciate my money going to support local farmers & pesticide-free produce, dairy, eggs, etc.The once-a-month members discount really adds up, I try to remember to apply this if I buy a bunch all at once. Their spices are great, and Im starting to get into the idea of their bulk bins. Ive also bought laundry soap in bulk there, which saved me about $5 for the trip and it worked well to get my clothes clean and fresh. I think this is a better option for most of my households shopping.
Great local organic produce. Mellow, helpful staff. Lots of deli selection with a great salad bar. Locally sourced grass fed, wild caught and pastured meats, eggs and dairy. Big variety of bulk foods, herbs, etc. Convenient downtown location on an interesting block. Sweet!
Great locally raised meat and produce.
Really nice and very convenient
Its a Awesome place to shop and enjoy being there
Its mainly a market, but cafe too, nice food. California hippie granola organic vibe.
Very good.
Love this place. Found the best pastured chicken eggs here AND was excited to find duck eggs too! These Palouse Pasture eggs have the best color and taste that I have found in stores. Many thanks to Main Market for making great products such as these available!
Local and organic produce, great bulk section, nice selection of snacks and groceries, EXCELLENT deli, good selection of beers, wine, and sodas, awesome staff. Prices are a little high compared to other area grocery stores, but much cheaper than youd find at a similar store in a bigger city. Parking isnt bad either.
I love this place. They have a great staff and i love not having to worry about my food actually being organic or where its sourced from
It’s just a yummy experience to shop here. All organic, locally sourced groceries when possible. A fabulous salad bar and the deli has interesting and delicious selections every day. It’s now only $10 to join which gives you discounts. A great addition to West Main.
Great deli and salad bar area. Love it. Wish I loved in Spokane, that would be my go to for grocery shopping!
You gotta check the deli out at this place. Amazing.
