Simply Solid Surface finished our new kitchen and butler pantry countertops last week. The work was fantastic! Julie was very patient with my wife and I as we did flip-flop on choices early :) She helped us select a fantastic quartz countertop that looks greatInstallation was great. The team was professional and attempted to keep the area clean. It is tough removing an older counter and installing the new. They did a great job!Everything looks fantastic and after a few days with the new counters were continue to be very happy! Thanks for the help making our kitchen look new!

We were remodeling our kitchen island and needed about 40 sq ft of granite. After calling a number of places, we contacted Julie. She gave us the best estimate and arranged to come out to the house to measure. After choosing our slab, Julie kept us apprised of progress. The installers came on time and were professional. Our project looks great. We had no problems on communication, as we used phone, text and email. I would not hesitate to use Simply Solid Surface for my next project.

Very impressed with the craftmanship AND customer service. Julie was most helpful in product selection, which ended up saving me hundreds of $$$. She promptly returned calls and text. We ran into a problem, due to Covid, and she jumped thru hoops to keep delivery on time!

Unresponsive to text and calls, doesnt check on order to be sure vendors are completing the product as ordered and lacks overseeing vendors at the beginning of installation or during. My issues would have all been caught with COMMUNICATION.

We hired Julie and Her staff to install Quartz coutertops in our new home. She was Highly recommended by our neighbor. My kitchen and Bathrooms look AMAZING!!!! The workers were professional, courteous and very clean. Julie was prompt and very easy to work with. I am so happy that we decided on Simply solid Surface to do our project. I called Simply Solid Surface after a web search to see if theyd be willing to come out to my home and provide an estimate. Let me just forewarn you that the web reviews dont seem to be accurate accounts of experience. The reviews here on Yelp - seem to fall in line with my experience more so.First, upon getting a voice on the other end of the line, I had to confirm that the number Id even called was in fact that of the company! The lady that answered, identified herself as Julie, but never answered by the company name - so I gather its her cell phone number. Not a good first impression!Second, she was all but downright rude when asked about potentially getting an estimate. I explained that this was an insurance job and that I would need to have my granite & cosmos evaluated for remove & reset, versus remove and replace. AND... if that couldnt be done, then I would like to have it in writing along with the estimate of cost to replace. Instead of being met with professionalism and eagerness for a new client, I was met with pure distaste and no care whatsoever. Miss Julie made it a point to let me know that she was super busy at the moment with clients and had no interest to provide an estimate for business that involves a potential reseat of my granite. She informed me that it wasnt worth her time to bid, on an unsure job. WOW!I politely told her thats quite alright - Ill happily seek out another contractor - and thanked her for her brutal, but unprofessional honesty. That very attitude tells me you wont take care of my property and thats a definitive ILL PASS.At the end of the day, her telephone etiquette came off very ignorantly. I for one refuse to allow anyone in my home or near my wallet that shows no care for the client or the potential for new business. And for all intensive purposes, I dont think It shouldnt matter whether its an insurance claim or not. Im guessing I shouldve never mentioned that part???My recommendation - seek elsewhere.

I shopped around quite a bit in Houston and settled on Simply Solid after talking with Julie. I got 4 other bids and they were at least 20% higher -- so I was rather surprised when the crew was incredibly professional and efficient. I had 3 different kitchen areas fully completed and everything was done without a hitch. Very impressed.Thank you.EK

They installed my granite counters when promised. They are very reasonable with pricing. I got to pick my slab out from the granite yard. They also gave me a great reference to do my backsplash. Everything turned out exactly as I had envisioned it.

After consulting with several other companies, and walking away feeling confused, this was the first time we were able to get straight answers. After our consultation, we knew exactly what our choices were, what could expect to pay, when and how it would be done. What we didnt know, yet, was how incredibly professional their crew would turn out to be. They worked swiftly, and their bit that needed to be crafted on site resulted in a perfect fit. Theyre not a company that tells you what you want to hear and then its hell getting the work completed. They treat you with respect from beginning to end. I had my counterops weeks and weeks before the rest. I absolutlely love my countertops!!!! Theyre not only beautiful, my kitcken looks elegant! I plan on telling everyone I know, family, friends, veterans, and military about Simply Solid Surface. This is one company I 110% recommend.

They did a great job installing granite in all our bathrooms. Amazing price for the quality of product.. will be returning customers for our kitchen!

I contacted them for 3 pieces of vanity tops. I drove from Houston from Woodlands only to see their very limited display of options for stones. Julie, the responsible lady there told me at first that she can find left over pieces of marble instead of an entire slab that would make it less priced and I should call her on Monday. She sounded it is very common to find these pieces (I am not in this business, so whatever the seller tells me I would like to trust). Then during the week after several attempts of trying to reach her, she told me she couldnt find any left over pieces. Not only that but also it is very rare that there are left over pieces. Wasted my 1 week time with mis-information when I was crunched with time to get this done, which I also told her. I would not trust them with good work. Very unorganized.

EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL & POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. “Julie” is consistently rude and acts like it’s a hassle for her to answer her phone or schedule an estimate. I called the office number directly, and still got “Julie” ... I wasn’t even sure if I called the business number because it’s not answered as a business - it’s forwarded to “Julie’s” cell phone. Heaven forbid you should ask for an estimate. Julie will promise you an estimate and then never get back with you and won’t return calls. Then she’ll tell you that she emailed it and it must be stuck in her outbox or your spam folder. When you finally get ahold of her again 3 days later, she asks for your email address again and for you to go over the order once again and then promises to email it again. I called the next day to again let her know that the estimate still has not been received. I received a text back that said “powers out”, so I’m guessing that meant she had no internet service? I called the next day, no answer. So I texted her with “it’s been 2 weeks, is your power still out? If you can’t do the job, just let me know...” Julie texted back with “yeah, we can do it.” She then gives you an install date around 2-3 weeks out. As that date approaches, NO ONE SHOWS UP. So I called and texted Julie several times to find out what’s going on... she doesn’t have me scheduled and doesn’t know when she can fit me in. Meanwhile, my kitchen is torn up with remodeling, only lacking the granite countertops- as of now I have plywood decking on the cabinets awaiting the granite to be installed. Now, she will no longer answer any calls or texts (all business is done they her cell phone). I’d think twice about doing business with this company. Spend a little more money and get quality work with less hassle. This place is a joke.
