I took my truck in for an unknown problem. Michael ran tests my truck and gave me an all clear on my transmission. I had the oil changed in my front differential and my transmission oil changed anyways for regular maintenance. Definitely seems like a trustworthy business. Its clean, the employees are polite and have hearts of gold.I would definitely recommend this shop!

Our van broke down near here and he went way out of his way to help tow our van to his business and then he fixed it at much cheaper than any quotes from surrounding areas. That was a year ago and the transmission has still been been working great.Just this week, our van broke down again with a broken wheel bearing. We were near his shop and he let us use all his tools and even helped a few times all for free. Seriously the nicest Good Samaritan we have ever met.

After 200k miles, my 1995 Chevy Z71 pickup lost reverse. I thought it was the transmission but wasnt sure so I called around to local transmission shops in Springdale to get some advice. Accurate Transmissions was the 4th shop I called and decided to go with them. I chatted on the phone with Michael and he pretty much diagnosed the problem over the phone in about 5 minutes. He is very well versed in transmission repair, did a fantastic job and was honest up front from the very beginning about what needs to be done, etc. I highly recommend Accurate Transmissions for their professionalism, honesty and great work. A really good, old-fashioned, meticulous mechanic. I needed a bushing for my transmission oil pump on a Saturday evening and Accurate was the only place in the area both open and willing to help me out. On top of that, he stayed late to install it and provide advice for future care of my transmission. The price was more than reasonable for the service he provided. I will definitely come back with any possible future issues and I would recommend them to anyone.

I had a mysterious howling noise coming from my truck’s transmission about four years ago. My mechanic (who spoke authoritatively about every automotive thing) diagnosed the problem as a solenoid that would require the transmission to be rebuilt. I decided on a second opinion, selecting Accurate BECAUSE it was not part of the transmission shop franchise ecosystem.Long story short, the sole proprietor said he would try to fix the problem without a rebuild and I could wait and see if it stayed fixed. Lo and behold, it has.Bottom line, this fellow could have gotten a lot more money out of me but didn’t. Enough said.UPDATE: It has now been 5 years and my transmission “stayed fixed.” I’m pulling a 7-1/2 ton 5th wheel camper and everything’s muy bueno. I would seriously limp any vehicle to Acurate to get its Xmission fixed, even though I live in LR now.

Accurate has repaired 2 transmission and is a great shop. Both repairs lasted and this review is 2 years after the fact. He just looked at a new vehicle for me today saved me from purchasing a truck that needs repair. I trust what he says and will take any transmission I need fixed to him anytime. He was several hundred bucks cheaper the amco.

First things first--Accurate Transmissions does NOT accept credit cards. I probably should have asked before I dropped off the car, but its 2013 so you kind of expect plastic to be taken anywhere, keep this in mind and you wont have to do like I did and make a hurried bank run when you just want nothing more than to get your car back.Well start out with the important stuff--my car is fixed and has stayed fixed (knock on wood), and the price probably want unreasonable for the transmission work I had done. From that perspective, I really have no complaints. The staff (and by staff, I mean one guy--but well get to that in a minute) knows how to fix transmissions.Where I ran into an issue was trying to get the job done in a timely manner. It may be my model of car, Pontiac G6 (which admittedly has given people fits in the past), or maybe theyre just not good at time management, but the process of getting the transmission done took quite a bit longer than I was originally led to believe. To his credit, I was only billed for the amount of hours he quoted me originally--which is great, but it still meant I was without a car for longer than I thought I would be when I dropped it off.Communication also seems to be a bit of an issue, I was asked to call back several times and sometimes I could get ahold of them, and sometimes I couldnt.Most of these issues are because he is essentially a one man shop. His work is good, and probably reasonably priced, but Im not sure Id go there again in a time critical situation.

Had my truck towed there and was told it would take a week to get it in the shop.It took a stinking month. He said the repair itself would take a day. It was in the actual shop for over a week.At first he told me the repair would cost 702.He called me midway through the week asking for an advance. Then the next day another advance. Then today wanted another advance.Then today told me that the final repairs would cost over 900 dollars.This guy is a joke. When I brought up my objections I just got cussed out.I wont argue any longer. Ill just take it to small claims.Save yourself a headache and pass this place by.
