We didnt know that our 7-month old needed glasses. Everyone here was very patient and attentive with our daughter. They were very thorough to find her specific prescription. While I was hesitant to accept that she did not have perfect vision, I cannot deny that my little Clem is cuter than ever!

Dr Pierce is awesome. Although his staff might be even better. Every person I interacted with were polite, informative and very attentive. Did I drive 2.5 hours today to ensure I got the best care? Without a moments consideration! I’ve been back consistently to see Dr. Pierce since second grade and will continue to make the drive for the one of a kind experience I get there. This will be my first and last time going to Pierce. If you’re getting contact lenses, Pierce is good. But expect paying $900 or more for 1 pair of glasses that are low quality lenses, in spite of all the options. No, that price does not include examination fees and taxes. All fees included brings total price to over $1130 for one pair of extremely low quality lenses.

They were wonderful. Got my daughter taken care of without having an appointment, we didnt really have to wait, and the staff was very friendly and helpful.

Dr Pierce is amazing and I have gone to him for years but its seems like whenever I use my insurance I am always billed wrong or told my insurance doesnt cover things the insurance company when called states they would have covered. Then I have to go somewhere else and use the rest of my insurance benefits. I just wish the office would get things together. After multiple calls to the insurance company stating something different then the Drs office states I dont know if I want to go back.

I often send students here when I recognize that they have visual perception difficulties, but earlier this month I made an appointment for myself because I was having difficulties with my vision. I was pretty sure my prescription was WAY off base. Dr. Pierce took the time to really determine what I needed. No rapid fire diagnosis with lenses moving faster than I could make a clear decision. And the glasses I picked out are perfect. Thank you to Dr. Pierce & his AMAZING staff!

Extremely rude person over the phone and the let me know just how non-accommodating they are for special needs!! I called to inquire on medical exemption for a child with special needs. I asked if a shield would be acceptable. “We require everyone wear a mask” was the response. SO discouraging!! Definitely won’t be using them for my kids’ eye checkups and I’ll be sure to let my special needs mama friends know they’re not accepting of special needs with medical exemptions for masks.

I have been going to Pierce Vision for 3 years consistently now. I have always tried one place then another, but these people are too wonderful to leave. Last year Dr. Courtney explored different options with me as the time for bifocals nears including trying different strengths for my contacts. Today, I went to pick up my new contacts for the year and had to wait in line (only one person in front of me already being helped, no big deal to wait a minute) and the girl working at the reception desk offered to get them for me. Another worker was already helping but I thought that was very kind of her. They also quickly replaced a broken nose piece on my husbands glasses.My husband has asked why I continue to drive past other vision clinics to go here. I love the friendly and helpful staff!

We went to Pierce Vision today for our boys eye exams. We had a wonderful experience with Dr Courtney, who was so patient with my seven year olds and kindly answered all my questions. The office was very clean and they were carefully taking all social distancing and masking seriously. I was truly impressed.My one complaint is that the front office staff were not very patient with my children. At the end of the visit, they were handed a squishy ball as a prize by the doctor. When one of them tossed it in the air in an empty waiting room area, one of the front office staff sternly called out you cant do that in here. They were being frequently corrected with typical child behavior. One of my boys prize balls was broken when he opened it. When I asked if he could replace it, a front office staff lady kertly stated no.I am a therapist that works with children and have recommended Pierce Vision for many children. And honestly, I still will. However, front office staff have the ability to make a lasting impression on your visit, and I was sad and irritated for my children when walking out, even with so many positive aspects of our visit.

I ordered my Lenses on December 23rd and was to be 10-14 Days and then I was told it would be January 16th and today on the 26th they called the Lab and there Backordered till February 12 th?I really Don’t like Giving the Runaround but I’m not going to Accept a Cheap Version that will Scratch!I really think that someone Dropped the Ball and I’m Finding another Place To Go ! Wonderful experience! I was a patient of Dr. Pierce when I was in high school and college. Unfortunately, when I graduated and started my teaching career, my employer did not carry vision insurance, so I had to receive my vision screenings elsewhere. Fast forward 18 years. I was elated when I discovered that my husband’s employer began carrying vision insurance, and Pierce Vision accepted his insurance. I brought my daughter in today to see Dr. Mobilio. My daughter has been experiencing headaches and eye fatigue. Dr. Mobilio was very thorough with her exam. She performed several exams to ensure she diagnosed my daughter correctly, and she was able to identify the problem. This is why I have always wanted my children to be seen by Dr. Pierce and his associates. After wearing glasses for nearly 35 years, I know that Pierce Vision is the most thorough and complete eye exam you will ever find. My daughter isn’t too fond of the idea of wearing glasses, but finding an adorable, youthful pair of glasses helped. Thank you Dr. Pierce and Dr. Mobilio for taking the time to listen to your patients’ concerns and for conducting such thorough eye exams.

Honestly would be less than 1 star. Its been about 3 weeks now from my eye appointment and ordered new glasses. Was told it takes 2 days for the lenses to cure and would be done a shipped but as of today they are still in the lab and looking about another 3-5 days to get them. I expressed I needed these quickly due to a new job being on a computer most of the day and with my glasses i have now are not the strength i need and they are giving me headaches now. They dont seem to worried about the struggles from their patients. Will be going some where else in the future! Poor customer service!!!

Pierce Vision is amazing! I have had to wear glasses all my life, due to an insurance change I had to move from Vision Health to Pierce Vision. I am so glad I found Pierce. Everyone was absolutely the best to work with. Dr. Courtney was great to work with. Dr. Courtney answered all my questions, even took extra time to make sure I fully understood what would change with my new prescription. I had my apt Thursday 10/31, and around noon on 11/4 I was notified my new glasses were ready to be picked up. The selection of frames to choose from was outstanding. I would recommend Pierce Vision to all my family and friends.

We took our son here. The staff was excellent and Dr. Pierce was amazing! He was so kind and great with kids. He also explained everything very well. We are definitely glad that we chose this clinic to care for our child.

Called and scheduled an appointment 2 months in advance. When I showed up for my appointment they had no record that I had made one. Rather than trying to still squeeze me in they turned me away and said I could come back another day. Additionally During a previous appointment I was charged a contact lens fitting fee even though my prescription did not change. No idea why and the office staff was not helpful in resolving my concerns. I would recommend going elsewhere.

Dr Pierce is very thorough and excellent to explain what is going on. His warm humor, enthusiasm, and expertise have impressed me over the years. I do appreciate his awareness of costs. I recently have experienced radical changes in my vision for which there is no explanation. Dr Pierce prescribed new lenses but kept the old ones in case my eyes should auto-correct.His staff are friendly and warm. They look to details and work with the clients to accommodate their needs and circumstance. I couldnt think of a better vision specialst.

Ive been bringing my daughters to see Dr. Pierce for about 6 years now. He is an incredibly kind and caring man; he understands how to connect with his patients on their level, no matter their age. He is very respectful and willing to explain things. I would 100% recommend Pierce Vision Specialists.

They made us sign a form before we got the exam, stating that we would pay for a contact fitting if it was needed. We tried asking about it, got some vague answer about how some people need it if they have an astigmatism. Neither my husband, nor myself have an astigmatism, so they said it probably wouldnt be needed, but theyd let us know if it was. We had a very quick, normal eye exam- nothing out of the ordinary. When we got to the front desk, they charged us an extra $60 EACH for this so-called contact fitting... and Im still not sure what that was about. We asked about it at the front desk and they said it was already done and they needed payment.We got a copy of our prescriptions and will not be returning.

Dr. David Pierce has been my eye doctor for well over 25-30 years now. Hes absolutely the best in Springfield, Mo.

Here it is now 5 weeks no glasses and no answers except that the glasses had to be sent to the insurance company so they could finish them. Very poor excuse for customer service skills when the lady said she could call but she would call but have to sit on hold for over 30 minutes. So tired of this place I will not return back to this place nor refer anyone to this crappy place!

Absolutely love this place! The staff was so friendly and helpful. My children loved the doctor and they answered all my questions. I would highly recommended this place especially if you have children.

Dr. Pierce is the man! Ive been going to him for over a decade. I was in a bad accident once and hurt my eye. I went to Dr. Pierce and he found a problem and referred me to an ophthalmologist for surgery. The ophthalmologist couldnt believe an optometrist would catch the problem. Dr. Pierce literally saved my eye! Oh and he and his staff are also out of this world friendly. If you are looking for an optometrist, especially if youve had a bad experience with one in the past or are having problems getting a proper diagnosis, go see Dr. Pierce already!
