Staff is always helpful. Cost is a little high but service and product make it worth it

Would be great to expand the store into a supermarket.~ We need more employees, because I dislike why we’re understaffed about 2-5 business days.~ Our town will decline the request of the extra square-footage from the empty businesses.Looks like we have 75% of unused businesses on the left side of the store.~ The receiving room should have at least 6 spots for the tractor-trailers to park.(3 Spots = Incoming Deliveries){3 Spots = Outgoing Bottle-Room Deliveries}[[ I also want the store to look modern and filtered water supply from the town. ]]##########BOTTLE ROOM NOTICE;• Glass machines are temporarily closed, because the lifter is dead & we cannot empty glass bins.(Updated; 8/10/2021 @ 3:30a)

Small place. Not like whole foods layout. The staff is what makes this place. All helpful and most important...its clean. Thats the staff that takes care of business. OVERPRICED, bad selection and Donna has been rude to me several times while checking me out. I will wait in a much longer line rather than deal with her.

The fact you need to advertise consumer friendly pricing on various items means you do not have consumer friendly pricing. Plain and simple. This chain should actually show us this consumer friendly pricing instead of trying to assure us of it by posting all of this marketing material about it.

I went there to buy a few items today..whenI was done I went to the first cash register, it was around 11:15 a.m., and the old lady there her name is Donna and she was bagging her own groceries so I had to stand there and wait and Im not feeling well but I finally get up there and theres no bagger to be seen so the stuff is piling up and I said theres no bagger today?..and she said yes there is but I dont know where he went!.. and I said, well you pay enough money at this store youd think they would have a bagger!.. so I said wheres the manager and she said hes around here somewhere working.. so I just left because as I said I wasnt feeling well and I didnt feel like running around the store again looking for the manager! When I left I tried to call and the phone number isnt even working! If you werent the only grocery store in town I wouldnt even use you!!😡

Hello Stafford Springs Big Y Pizza Department ManagerFYI, I came other day to get gallon of milk an pizza.When I went to Pizza counter, their was NO CHEESE Pizza on Display,So i ask the girl behind the counter if their is any cheese pizza coming out of owen,she told me NO,I think cheese pizza is a core item that should be always on display.Otherwise all is good.one more thing, when giving a brown paper bags, make sure that handles are not broken esp we are paying for itThank you

Its a clean store, but expensive. Only game in town so we continue to pick up last minute items. Otherwise, we head out of town for a big weekly shopping trip.

A bit more pricey than some others in the chain, but an amazing staff who are willing to go yhe extra mile!

We shop Big Y in Stafford quite frequently, stopping after work every day or every other day, we also quite often order a large order of chicken tenders, or grinders, pizza. I have experienced excellent customer service from John, Katie in the hot prepared food section everytime they are working . I have received horrible rude customer service multiple times from Deb/ Deborah. Tonight we ordered a party size meat lovers pizza andy husband picked it up, had to be one of the worst pizzas ever, the pizza was not even cut all the way through to start, the pizza was like cut and recut like they forgot they started cutting,I dont even know, then was undercooked. We ended up ordering another pizza from Stafford House because we were short on time and didnt want to chance getting another pizza with the same results. Very disappointed, will definitely think twice about ordering from there for a while, time to change grocery stores for a while, plenty of choices on my way home from work that will appreciate the business.

This big y is expensive compared to most, but (& this is a big but) EVERYONE THERE is extremely friendly and they will do right by you. Its worth paying a little extra to get the customer service. 100 *** all around. 😁

I Recommend the cakes and pastry. I really like the taste and the freshness. Try Italian cake mmm delicious.

Prices are always higher at this location than other stores, even with the silver card, and the produce is always on the edge of turning. At other locations produce is nice and fresh. The Stafford location seems to get the bottom barrel picks for stock and its always more expensive!

Grinder order was WRONG, how do you do that? Its written down when its taken! Come on, and the person that took my phone order was rude, and 40 min for 2 Grinders at 7pm on a Monday?

RUDEST morning cashier by the name of DONNA older lady! She is so rude that I’d rather wait in a longer line than to deal with her RUDENESS!!!

Expensive as usual. Only store around for items you run out of. Produce moldy. Looked through 4 containers of cherry tomatoes to find one that didnt have mold

Not a bad store to say. Big Y has higher than normal prices but its the brand. The store itself was clean and the employees are nice and polite. Only issue I had really was the hot bar... Bought some chicken wings and when I sat down to eat in the food court, realized that the chicken was undercooked. It was semi red and the meat itself still had that undercooked look. Went to customer service and ask soon as we said we had hot bar food we wanted a refund he immediately stated :is it the chicken is it red or pink. He told us the chicken turns red from cooking it twice. If it was cooked twice there should be no red and no blood. It was apparent that this is a known issue but gets shrugged off. Otherwise again a normal store for big y.

Not my primary grocery store, but I still go often. The buy one get two free sales are often a fantastic deal, and the pizza is great for feeding a largish group of people.This particular location has a more upscale atmosphere than I normally associate with BigY but the lighting was a bit dim for my tastes.This location also puts an emphasis on their demos and specialty departments on the edge of the store. I just got some food from the wing bar the other day, and while I wasnt blown away by the freshness or quality, it was still hot, and hit the spot.

Usually find what Im looking for. Produce is fresh and usually local. Store is clean and the clerks are friendly and helpful. Sales are usually good too. Plenty of parking as well.

I shopped around 7:30 am and there were only a few other people there. Was able to get everything I needed. Still out of tp. Store is always very clean.

Regional chain store. Decient layout, although having the bread in the center of the store lends itself to potential flat bread as shopping continues. Parking lot could could use some patching, carts in good condition. Produce is fresh. I especially like the buy one get two free sales

Id give 2.5 stars. Its not terrible, but theyre lacking in selection and prices are a bit high. Theres zero competition in the area, so theres no incentive for them to have a nice store with a good selection and fair prices. Staff is nice.

If you need help everyone is willing to help or they will find someone who can. The pharmacy personnel are all very caring and do everything they can to meet your needs. They always have a smile, hello and how are you.

I only put one star because i cant put zero. I have never in my life been so disgusted with a store in my life. I just left the stafford, ct store which is the only grocery store in town. I told the cashier and bagger i did not want to purchase bags because i had brought my own. The bagger states he had things to dowhick i ignored because hes an older man and i was raise to be respectful of others. Part way through my transaction he asked the cashier for bags i again stated that i did not want to buy bags and the bagger truly attempted to argue with me and said theyre only $.10. which is not the issue the issue is i had already made it clear i didnt want them so why are you trying to force that purchase on me? This is not the first time i have been addressed in such a rude manor at this store however it will be the last as i refuse to spend my hard earn money in a place that feels they have a right to talk to people like that or try to force yourself to spend more money than you planned on regardless of what the extra cost might be its bad business. I will plan in the future to stop on my way home at other store before i give even one more penny to that store

Good store with a nice selection. Only complaint is that I called hours ahead to pick up a pizza at 6:20. Arrived and they said it had just gone in (at 6:20) and would be 8 minutes. I wandered around and came back after 10 minutes. Stood there waiting for another 10, along with several other people having the same issue. This experience was not a good one. I like the rest of the store, but doubt I would order pizza from this one again.

Store was clean and staff was all friendly. We are from PA and go to the Big Y every time we are in the are. We always get a few bags of Whip City Jerky! Also tried lunch and loaf for the first time.....reminiscent of Salisbury steak in my opion but the deli worker explained it all to me and it is primarily veal.

Overpriced with poor selection. Would rather drive to Massachusetts to shop!!

DO NOT SHOP HERE. Prices are so high, better off going to tolland big y. We did a price difference on the same shopping list and both Stafford and tolland big y. Tolland big y came in at almost 100 dollars cheaper.

The people are always nice and its clean but its way too expensive. I buy half and half every week and its almost $6. I only go there because its close to my house but Im thinking about taking a little longer trek and going somewhere else.

Ok as far as Supermarkets go, they are ok. This location is clean and well stocked and the customer service is above average. Here comes the but, they have limited if any offerings for certain brands, anything from tea bags to tiolet paper, if you a brand your loyal to, do your research, they may not carry it. Secondly, dollar for dollar, Big Y is generally more expensive ib most items food wise, and wildky more expensive on non food.offerings, which happened to be displayed everywhere around the.store.

I love shopping there, HOWEVER theyre always so much more expensive than Stop & Shop.

This is a good place to go when u want to get great produce and meats. Although it is a bit too expensive there is sometimes good deals oneats and other products

I really wish they would teach these kids how to bag properly... I brought 2 insulated bags & a regular large reusable, I told the bagger this one is for frozen, this one is for refrigeratorated, and this one is for dry goods I had to rebag everything at my car because they mixed frozen food with non perishables & overstuffed the freezer bag & put all the non food items (like Ziploc bags & aluminum foil) in the refrigerator bag.... How hard is it to figure out when I even organize it as Im placing my items on the belt! When you drive an hour for groceries you should at least get a decent bagger.

I got p.o.ed . I did not have my big y card and got changed full price on all the sale items. Any other store swipes there own card giving you the discount. Aint gonna miss those guys.

Big Cry They Got Monoply in Stafford Over Priced Meats and Grocerys they charge higher Prices than other Big Ys. Just Go little further to Geisslers.
